i feel like game piracy is sometimes viewed as this massive disruption to the game industry and not just “a small group of people who weren’t going to buy a game anyways now have it on their computer.” when companies report “losses” due to piracy that’s fake. that’s a fake number because no money was actually ever exchanged and companies cannot possibly know how many people actually pirated their game. piracy does not work like this

My friend Siraj ( @siraj2024 ) finally collected the amount needed to return home to North of Gaza. Thank you all so much but please do not forget that there is still a long way to go. Siraj still needs to start rebuilding the life he lost under these fifteen months of genocide; his home in which he poured ten years of his life has been bombed twice and cannot be lived in. His office is gone, and it will take some time before Siraj is able to resume work. I know things are tough now, and the world is going to shit for many people on here, but please do not forget about Palestine. Remember that all of this is connected- I don't have better words for this but truly none of us will be free till Palestine is free. saddest thing ive ever witnessed in the world was back when the cicada swarm was emerging and there was a patch of green where a tree used to be, so 17 years ago cicadas laid eggs on it, but now the babies emerged in the grass where there was no longer a tree for them to climb up

Me. I will sit on high-speed rail for fifteen hours. I’ll sit on it for days. I’ll write and read and nap and eat and then do it all over again. I’ll stare out the windows and see America from ground level and not have to drive. I’ll see the Rockies and the deserts and cornfields and the Mississippi River and your house and yours and yours too. I’ll make up stories in my head about the small towns I see as we go along. I’ll see the states I’ve yet to see because driving or flying there is a fucking slog and expensive to boot. I’ll enjoy the ride as much as the destination. And then I’ll do it all over again to come the fuck home.
