Atheistic Repression and Protestant Flowering in the Soviet Union
Yaroslavsky set out to demonstrate the [Atheist] League's achievements by including a religious question in the 1937 census. The results were disastrous for the future of the League of Militant Atheists, which was disbanded in 1941, and religious survey questions never reappeared in subsequent Soviet censuses. Although no detailed results from the 1937 census can be reported because data analysis was quickly aborted, Soviet documents indicate that just over 56 percent of the population admitted to being religious believers. Yaroslavsky also ambiguously maintained that most (around two-thirds) of the religious believers resided in rural areas. These crude results indicate a dramatic drop in religiosity when one considers that in 1900 nearly 100 percent of people that lived in regions that would eventually constitute the Soviet Union were religious believers. Regardless, Yaroslavsky and Stalin viewed the number of atheist converts (even with probable inflation) as unsuccessful. The findings were disappointing because the "science" of atheism had predicted a different outcome. Communists expected individuals to abandon religion with fervor. As it turns out, Russians did leave the Russian Orthodox Church in droves but did not abandon religion at the same rate. In 1900, non-Orthodox Christian groups represented around 10 percent of the Russian population. These groups included Baptists, Evangelicals, Flagellants, Mennonites, Old Believers, Pentecostals, and Tolstoyans, to name a few that were most visible at the beginning of the 20th century. By mid century and toward the end of the Soviet era, Hare Krishnas, Jehovah's Witnesses, Seventh Day Adventists, and various "charismatic" sects entered the religious landscape. Quite interestingly, data confirm that while membership in the Russian Orthodox Church declined under communism, Protestants and various Christian sects slowly proselytized new members. From 1900 to 1970, the percent of non-Orthodox Christians (not including Roman Catholics) went from 11 to 31 percent of the Russian population. Small proselytizing groups partially thrived under communism because they continued to seek converts while being savy to the dangers of religious expression. Prior to the revolution, the Tsarist regime effectively banned many of the small religious sects and cults while actively promoting the dominance of the Russian Orthodox Church. Nondominate religious groups throughout Russia were accustomed to religious repression even before the rise of the Communist Party and the ubiquitous promotion of scientific atheism. Active religious sects developed tactics to recruit and retain members under conditions of repression in pre-Soviet times.

DAY 5928
Jalsa, Mumbai May 11/12, 2024 Sat/Sun 1:16 AM
🪔 ,
May 12 .. birthday greetings to Ef Deepa Krishna .. Ef Iris Sharara .. and Ef Svetlana Beregovaya from Russia 🇷🇺 .. 🙏🏻🚩❤️
... when you decide to be lazy .. not do anything .. go against any daily confirmed schedules .. to do and be by the self ..
that is the day the 'not do anything' shall begin to drive the most in reverse .. circumstances shall build your being to 'BE' .. to be the most ..
the principles of life - whoever guides them - or whoever designs them, shall never follow in its entirety, to what you desire or want ..
for .. if everything is conducting itself to your desires and wants , then your place here is an error ..
and these errors shall never be resolved to the fullest and desired results ..
we are brought here for this purpose .. to resolve .. and we discover that there is no solution for the resolve .. and we suffer and endeavour and lament and bring blame to 'karma' and fate .. because that is the finality of the solution ..
accept it .. or be steam rolled in this oblivion of living ..
Tumblr media
it shall be expected for you to resolve .. and one upon the other blanket indulged duvets shall be wrapped around you .. some of your own being, some engulfed by the 'tuck in' from another or the 'other' ..
do not and never be oblivious of the 'other' .. psychological parametrics and literary gymnastic parallel bars, roman rings, and wooden horses on comforted landing softeners shall evidently be present for motionless stationary still landings .. but ever the nadiacomăneciesue scorings are a misguidance .. computerised ratings of life shall never be computed with the perfect10 ..
Tumblr media
resolve is never singular .. it needs a companion .. not the obvious kind , but the one that duplicates the singular, in its own resolve , to resolve the resolve .. which as I said, never ever does be in fructification ..
go live .. bear the bricks and the bats that come your way .. hold up that symbolic racquet to swipe away the forehand double handed backhand in the volleyed tram lined courts .. play the deuce, advantage, and back to the deuce .. this game shall not have the grand slam result ..
My care and love to all ..❤️

The first statues of deities were melanated
India :
The first statues of the Indi-Kush pantheon were represented with melanated skin (Krishna, Kali etc,,) and before Buddha looked like a Chinese, he looked like us and was worshiped as such throughout Asia.
Mexico:
The Olmec civilization begins around 3400 before the birth of Lumumba, that is to say thousands of years before the Mayas and the Aztecs and the first divinities were represented with melanated skin, such as for example Ixtlilton (Little Black) comparable to Bes.
Egypt :
All early Neteru were also depicted with melanated skin, so the further back you go in the history of the Nile Delta the more Negroid the statues become.
Vietnam:
The first statues of the Vietnamese pantheon were also represented with melanated skin like for example Vishnu or Champa, and in this connection, the Chinese called the Empire Champa or the people of Cham, now known under the name of VietNam; the country of the Black Men.
Thailand:
The first statues of the Thai Pantheon were also represented with melanated skin and the old representation of Buddha had a very dark complexion and Africanid features.
Greece:
The first statues of the Greek pantheon were represented with melanated skin such as Afrodite, Heracles and many others.
Roma:
Many important deities were also represented with melanated skin such as Hermes or Isis.
China:
Even the first Chinese statues were represented in the same Africoid mold.
Russia:
The first representations of the Virgin and her Son were melanated , and they were revered as such throughout Europe until the idea of white supremacy arose. Russia and Poland still love the original images even if little by little the same bleaching phenomenon is gaining ground.
Cambodia:
Angkor Wat is a temple that was built in the 12th century by the Khmer king; Suryavarman and it is still considered the greatest religious monument in the world.
The Chinese have always portrayed the Khmer people as short.

Lance's Role - Chapter 91
FF.net: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/6740034/91/Lance-s-Role AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/41976798/chapters/132876766
Wordcount: 26.5k Betareader: EpicElly
Summary:
Atlae's group finally returns to the Indian sub-continent, making one stop at Karachi before ending their circumnavigational trip. While at it, the group decides to accompany Daese up the mountains to Shamballa, since it would be a good chance for Atlae to show Krishna and Caça his homeland. Further down south in African waters, Marianne Solo, now the Saintia of Delphinus, spearheads the LPS Sea Dragon's naval assault on the renmants of Wolffe's crew. Just as she is about to finish the Ghost Saint group off, though, an unexpected vessel shaped like a giant sea monster arrives on the scene and takes her prey, before hailing her ship directly under the name of Josef Gerasimov, prince of the household holding the Kraken scales. Meanwhile, in Russia, Serpens Azrael reminisces about the Pope's betrayal during the war and decides the time has come to put a use to poor Ithaca...

Note
would it be alright to ask if you have any saint seiya headcanons? love your art btw!
OMG THANK U!!!💖💕💗 ^w^ ALSO OHOHOHO you do not know how much power you've given me here >:3 I have SO many headcanons to share about this series because I'm so normal about it
oh gosh I dunno what exactly to get into tho cuz I have alot and this post will be soo long if I tell like everything I got but I got a bunch of funny and cute stuff for the main 5 (tho I'd be happy to share any other specific characters headcanons on another post if you or anyone in general is interested)
Anyways my headcanons for the bronze saints! :D
Did a lot of the obvious headcanons where everyone is aged up a bit+unrelated ('cept of Ikki and Shun ofc) because it's dumb how improbable it all is
Ages:
-Seiya-16, 5'3"
-Shiryu-17, 6'0"
-Hyoga-18, 5'10"
-Shun-16, 5'6"
-Ikki-20, 5'8"
Seiya
-Bi king
-Shortest/Youngest of the team
-He knows how to play guitar because Seika taught him how
-After being stabbed with the sword of Hades, the others go on a journey to find Apollo to heal Seiya. While he manages to get Seiya out of his coma, the effects of the sword still effect Seiya from time to time if he over pushes himself since Hades’ power is that strong
Shiryu
-Also bi king
-Half Chinese/Japanese
-Grew up in China but was recruited by the Graude foundation and moved to Japan
-He likes to sing but gets shy when he's put on spot, Seiya likes to tease him about it
-He was blind fr but water of life/seventh sense brings it back
-During his fight with Krishna while he only gets partially blind and he's able to heal by the Hades arc(I've also put longer in-between times where the plot happens so they get to have more freetime to live)
-During this time, he had sunglasses/a cane(usually when he's in crowded areas)
Hyoga
-Gay
-Grew up as a city boy
-One who had most memories of his mom since she died when he was 10
-Probably one of the later ones recruited into the Graude Foundation
-Usually stays in Russia with Crystal Saint and Yakov during times of rest (my ver of Crystal Saint lives and he just used to be a saint back then but retired, plus Yakov is his kid)
Shun
-Trans, Pan
-He becomes the Pisces saint in my version cuz fuck canon
-He likes drawing and painting
-Out of Hades’ vessels, he's the one who's come closest to resemble him.
-He looks like him during Hades’ youth apparently, though no one would really be able to tell considering the circumstances Hades had grown up in
Ikki
-Ace
-The Virgo saint in my version
-Number 1 HyoShun hater/j
-Remembers his parents, both died in a car crash when he was 5 and Shun was a couple of months old
-They stayed at a relative's for a bit but were treated badly, plus strange occurrences began to happen involving Shun where dead things would suddenly just turn up around him that further added to the mistreatment. So Ikki took Shun and ran away.
-Ikki was besties with the black saints too because I think their dynamics would be super funny
Altogether hcs
Pals Dynamics
-Everyone is great as a group, it'll be Seiya who'll usually initiate meetups as a whole group or sometimes they'll all just run into each other when going out somewhere
-Ikki never texts in the group chat because he doesn't have the app they use.
-He only calls people which is also still rare.
-He'll be the type who calls at the middle of the night to drive somewhere random.
Hyoga: *sleeping* Hears his phone go off and he sluggishly picks up.  Hyoga: “Who is this?” Ikki: “Wake up and get ready. We're going somewhere.” Hyoga: “Ikki?! It's in the middle of the night!” Ikki: “I'll be there in 5.” Hyoga: “Did you call me because no one else picked up?” Ikki: “…” *Line ends* *A few hours later Hyoga sends Shun the number used to call him* "I think this is your brother's number..."
And that's how the gang figured out Ikki had a phone. They all had to figure out his phone number through just passing it over.
One more phone shenanigan, one of the first people he calls is Shaka when he gets a phone but he doesn't own one ofc so the only next option would be…
Aioria: Hello? Ikki: Are you with Shaka right now? Aioria: Excuse me? Is this Ikki? Also why would you assume he'd be here with me?! Ikki: I asked are you with Shaka right now? *silence* Aioria: Yeah...
-Ikki and Shiryu are the only ones in the group who are really awkward with each other. They always need a third person to balance them out
-Ikki thinks that they're cool, but Shiryu doesn't appreciate his type of banter
-Shiryu doesn't have good sarcasm skills because he's too earnest. If he throws shade, he'll just low blow you
-I feel like at least Seiya, Shiryu, and Shun keep in touch with the other 5 Bronzes
-Probably most frequent person they run into is Jabu
-Apparently, Jabu goes through a goth phase
Future Bronzes
-Out of the main 5, Seiya is the only one to become promoted to a Gold Saint afterwards since everyone else retires. Though they still can use the armor if they need to.
-Shiryu settles down as a farmer
-Hyoga ???? actor AU????, He's not the type to share about his personal life so his childhood is a mystery to the world and the only info found of him from back then was his short-lived wrestling career(lol) during the Galaxian Wars
-Shun and Ikki don't take the armors either, I like doctor Shun so I'll keep that
Body types
From ripped to leanest: Shiryu, Ikki, Hyoga, Seiya, Shun
Shiryu- Clearly the most physically fit of the five. He punches like and is a tank but he's also very agile despite his frame.
Ikki- Has a stocky build with broad shoulders. Definitely had to fight the most so it's been building up for years.
Hyoga- He's not huge but he has a pretty fit and toned body. Probably from all of the swimming.
Seiya- Still more on a muscular side but still pretty lean compared to the other buffer dudes.
Shun- Just lean, he's not great if we're talking raw strength-wise but has more defensive skills to make up for it.
Sleep headcanons
Seiya- Heavy sleeper, snores a lot, he's the type to starfish and hit people on accident, making sleepovers somewhat of a nightmare.
Shiryu- The type to fall deadly silent and still when he's asleep so that people think he's dead. Luckily, he's a light sleeper and won't be too hard to wake up.
Hyoga- He lightly snores but is a sleep talker and will say some of the craziest shit ever and never have any memories of doing so.
Shun- Most normal sleeper out of the bunch, but is deathly scary when being awakened. The gang will swear Hades is still in him from the dirty looks he gives if he's disturbed.
Ikki- The type of bloke to go snork mimimi.
Cafe Orders(these were from my sister since she's an expert in the field because I'm not a person who goes to cafes regularly)
Shun- Matcha Latte
Shiryu- Oolong Tea
Hyoga- Caramel Frappe
Seiya- Lemonade Refreshers
Ikki- Unicorn Frappe (joke)
I probably have more than this tbh but these were the only ones I've written down so far!! I love them all so much so i have this long list of random stuff haha thank u for asking me to share!!! QwQ

Do you think Hinduism should become an expansionist religion?
😂😂😂 Sham Sharma ki Video dekhi na tu?
Anyways, my answer to the question is that it depends.
In our current geopolitical atmosphere and the anti Hindu forces working tenuously to shrink us further, it is somewhat required. We have seen how not using the expansionist stratergy has costed the Jews over millenia, as it has done to us because the radicals we are against (obviously, I do not mean an average Christian or Muslim but just the radical elements) are expansionists.
Because the truth is that the conversion situation is more dire than we like to think, more people leave Hinduism than the reverts who join, and although we talk about muslim radicals, the christian missionaries are the ones leading the penchant fr.
And, it is not like we cannot do it. On the contrary, I feel like we will do it quite splendidly given how we attracted the likes of George Harrison, Julia Roberts, Miley Cyrus, Will Smith, Stallone either partially or fully to our faith without trying, and organisations such as ISCKON who do not even consist of 1% of total Hindus have done a steady job in bringing people to Hinduism, becasue Hinduism has a pluralistic and flexible belief system that connects to both religion and spirituality.
And we have done it before. Adi Shankaracharya did that when India was becoming dangerously close to becoming a Budhhist nation, so it is totally fine as long as it is to save our identity/make people aware of the truth of Hinduism like jagatguru did when people were converting out due to not understanding it properly, and not dominate the world.
If even 20% of Hindu population starts spreading their faith to the curious minded induviduals, we can hold up on our own against the offenders.
And I do not mean aggressive tactics or freebie promises at all, but a simple sharing of faith to those interested. Please, keep your mouths shut to people who already are in love with their religions.
The Ghar Wapsi initiative has been popular but failed to attract enough people as expected, simply because of the aggression that surrounds it. Its beginnings and the intrusive hindu groups that exploit the word have made people (especially non Hindus) wary of it, and an average Hindu is still a person who is not a fan of unwarranted conflicts and does not care what faith other people practice. The truth is that initiatives like ghar wapsi can only work within India as long as it does not rid itself of the radical elements around it.
ISCKON has used nothing but song, dance and love of God and today Hare Krishna movement is spread worldwide. They have done the mere job of actually making people aware of God, whereas Ghar Wapsi is based more on an Individual being a Hindu than an actual affiliation to God (reason #956834 why I don’t believe that extremists actually care about our Gods). Which is again why it cannot be popular outside India; you need to know about the Gods you are considering following, and while you can expect Indian Non-Hindus to know since this is a Hindu majority country, you cannot really expect that of people in Russia, Cambodia, El Salvador etc.
This is all I can say for now, the rest I will explain later.

Matriarchy, Feminism and 8th of March
Tumblr media
First of all I might say that everything I am doing is inspired by women and for women.
And of course this day is not about showing the love , because love is an action ( according to E.Fromm) , which should be done /manifested every day.
This day is actually about the woman rights and power , and about remembering of those who was fighting for this rights.
Women received the right to vote during the 20th century:
Earliest 1910s - US
And one of the latest in Europe is Spain - 1970s
One of latest countries where women received the right to vote is Saudi Arabia in 2015.
In 2023 Vatican still not says if women could vote.
2020
The UN theme for International Women's Day was: 'I am Generation Equality': Realizing Women's Rights'.
March in Pakistani called «Aurat March» was marred by attacks from stone throwers, after a failed attempt to have it banned as un-Islamic.
And this is happening in 2020 !!!
In April 2019, cleric Jawad Naqvi had called march organizers "the most evil of all women".
In Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, police detained dozens of marchers shortly after masked men reportedly attacked the march.
And the most terrible things are happening now in Iran , where people are shooted from machine-guns for support of women rights
Not-surprising that russia and Iran are united, because they are the same kind of evil and yearn for each other.
But it wasn’t always like this.
Tumblr media
The thing is that living in some period of time we accept some things (social constructs for example) for given. We refer for some concepts as static , however  history shows us that they are not.
Tumblr media
If we refer to the most ancient myths , we can discover that the primordial and supreme Deity was Goddess , thus Woman
In Greek Mythology - Gaia - is Mother Earth,  her husband is Uranus.  Her first sun - Kronos , and after son of Kronos - Zeus seized power in Olympus.
In Shumer Mythology this is Istar.
«The idea of primal female deity , first adored , then brutally side-lined by a male deity is a consistent theme in mythologies around the world.
The Tantrik tradition of India speaks of the primal one, Adya, who took the form of a bird and laid three unfertilised eggs from which were born Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.
Egyptian mythology acknowledges a time before gender. Then there was Atum, ‘the Great He-She’, who brought forth the god of air Shu and the goddess of dew Tefnut who separated Geb, the earth-god, from Nut, the sky-goddess, who gave birth to Isis and Osiris, the first queen and king of human civilisation. Then Seth killed Osiris and declared himself king, until Isis gave birth to Horus and contested his claim.
In these stories from around the world, the male deities compete for the female prize. This can be traced to nature, where all wombs are precious but not all sperms. So the males have to compete for the female. In many bird species, the female chooses the male with the most colourful feathers, the best voice or the best song, or with the capability of building the best nest. In many animal species, such as the walrus and the lion, the alpha male keeps all the females for himself; thus there are always ‘remainder’ males who do not get the female. This selection of only the best males creates anxiety amongst the not-so-good males and translates into the fear of invalidation in the human species. To cope with this fear of invalidation, social structures such as marriage laws and inheritance rights come into being, often at the cost of the female.
As human society learnt to domesticate animals and plants, trade and build cities, we see a gradual shift in social laws, deterioration in the status of women, and rejection of Goddess-worship in favour of God-worship.»
(C) Devdutt Pattanaik - 7 Secrets of Goddess
Tumblr media
A few anthropologists even argue that Krishna’s dance Raasa-Leela may have its roots in old matriarchal tribes where the women valued only one male of the village.
In such female-dominated cultures, the male could not refuse the woman: in the Mahabharata, when Arjuna refuses her advances, Urvashi curses him to turn into a eunuch. Any man who forced himself upon a woman was killed.
To ensure that the dominant males did not have exclusive and eternal rights to women, the ritual of killing the chosen males at regular intervals emerged.
The only way to survive being killed at the end of the term as king and consort of the Goddess was by castrating oneself. And so in the Near East, the priests of Cybele, called the Galli, ritually castrated themselves emulating Attis, the castrated son/lover of the goddess.
Of course that are rather bloody practices , but now the pendulum has swung in another direction.
Tumblr media
In Astrology the 8th House represents all the Unknown , Mystic , Sex and Death.
The connection of Sex and Death we can trace in myths across the Globe as well.
The close connection of sex and death, sex and pleasure, and pleasure with women led to that men began to associate women with amorality , suffering and vulnerability.
Renunciation of women guaranteed freedom from suffering.
This we can trace in Biblical mythology:  Samson succumbed to passion for the insidious Philistines Delilah and losses his power.
In Buddhism the daughters of Mara ( the greatest Demon) are associated with decay sickness and death.  Rejecting them Gautamma Siddhartha gained freedom from suffering.
In Tantra and Yogic tradition we have practice called - Brahmacaṛya ( celibacy ) which is supposed to give a mystical powers called «Siddhi»
We can see how along the course of history men tried to cheat biology.
Also in Hindu there is a tradition called «Sati»  ( in name of wife of Shiva who stepped into the fire ,when her husband was offended)
It is supposed that the fidelity of a woman gave her magical powers.   This believe in «sati» has led to  concept - if man died for whatever reason , it was the cheating wife who couldn’t prevent it.  She was encouraged to burn herself on a funeral pyre to prove her purity.
The time goes on and there is a power struggle in the cities - and women becomes a trophy in this game  - «Helene of Troy»
All this leads to the isolation of women for their «own safety»
Woman become a commodity , she loses the ability to control her life and her body.
At some time the men took over all economic activity , and the only activity available for women was a temple prostitution.
The body of woman, so as the land was owned by a father, brother, husband and even son.
The main reason of invention of the proprietary rights - is the fear and insecurity of men.
Gradually, the gaze turned upwards towards the sky. Gravity became a fetter, the earth a trap, and women bondage. Escape was sought. The serpent, messenger of the goddess, was rejected in favour of winged beings or angels who take humanity to ‘higher’ realms, above the earth.
In biblical mythology, the serpent becomes the symbol of the Devil, he who disobeys and tempts others to disobey. God, who makes all the rules, becomes male and resides in the sky. Prophets carry his word to earth. They are mostly male: Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad. They overshadow the few female prophets: Miriam, Deborah and Anna.
Tumblr media
In Hindu Mythology Serpent represents many things:
Wisdom ( we can see it always on the neck of Shiva)
Kundalini Energy
Tumblr media
Before those who looked at the earth below saw it as the Goddess, manifesting in pairs and triads, embodying the paradoxes of the world. There was Ishtar, the fertile, and Ereshkigal, the barren, in Sumerian mythology; Kali, the wild, and Gauri, the domestic, in Hindu mythology; the cow Hathor and the lioness Sekhmet of Egyptian mythology. In Greek mythology, there are the Fates triad who spin thread, the length of which determines the duration of human life, and the Grace triad who constitute the three seasons of spring, summer, and winter. Thus, the world is seen in feminine terms.
In Christianity now the only one image on woman is the Virgin Mary, but only because she was a mother of God.
In Islam the only one image is « Fatima hand» , the daughter of Prophet.
Why not so many ?
As you can see this turmoil and pendulum , which shifted from one side to another.
Tumblr media
Great honor and praise to the feminists who fought for women's rights
But what modern feminism offers?
It says that woman must struggle to win in a man-game. In patriarchal social structure controlled by men. This is thinking inside the box - which is leading to nowhere.
- - - - - -
On other hand women should accept the feminine nature and allow it to manifest itself , beyond this social construct.
Social construct is a human made creation.  But nature it is something deeper, something which corresponds to our soul, psyche , genetics.
It is more profound , and beyond any social construct.  Society is always changing, but archetype of the primordial wild woman is something which may last even beyond the time unchanging.
Tumblr media
As Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés says the one may address this archetype to discover one’s nature through many things such as:
Dreams
Instincts
Intuition
Acceptance of different aspects of the divine in oneself
Tumblr media
Archetype of Primordial Woman is the basic archetype , based on which various Goddesses , representing various aspects of Psyche emerged.
One of such Archetypes is Greek Goddess - Baubo.
Known as the goddess of mirth, she is depicted as bawdy and sexually liberated.
In Hindu mythology Deities always have pairs.
Wild Kali awakens Shiva to life with her passion,  without her is only a shava ( corpse)
When Mahishasura is threatening the World and even Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva cannot defeat him , then devas ask Goddess for help .
And Durga , Mahadevi slays him.
Tumblr media
Hindu mythology with its variety of Gods and Goddesses didn’t  lost the feminine and masculine balance.
In conclusion
I think it’s time for Man to evolve above the fear of insecurity  and start working towards the World where Woman can manifest herself freely.
I am sure it would be a much better place.
