At the moment the relevant scientific consesus (or at least the 2017 revision of felid taxonomy by the Cat Specialist Group) notes these variations only as subspecies.

Not too happy with the background on this one, but can't be spot on with all of them!

Already happy I managed to finish this one today! Hoping to get 2 tomorrow as well to catch up a little!

kodkod facts because i’m pretty sure we all know they’re the smallest cat by now but literally nothing else XD

✩ kodkods are carnivores, and they eat small rodents, birds, insects, reptiles, and domestic poultry

✩ biologists have suggested kodkods may be a subspecies of the geoffrey’s cat!

✩ while big cats tend to stretch out to rest and sleep, smaller wild cats like kodkods actually loaf!

✩ they’re excellent climbers! their big ol feets are good for climbing trees to escape predators or scan for prey!

✩ primarily kodkods are nocturnal, but they hunt during the day as well.

✩ they live in heavy vegetation, usually bamboo!

My OC Maqui. They are a güiña/kodkod cat-shaped spirit of nature that takes care of the Vicente Pérez Rosales national park area. They have plant powers and can shapeshift into other forms.

They are from Nature's Cry, but I also use them as a RP character :3

After a whole week of slightly losing, the kodkod eventually took over and triumphed against the pampas cat, while the andean mountain cat eliminated the well-liked margay. (you people really like fluffy cats here don't you) Now they face each other in the genus and lineage final.
