You know what would be really funny? If Knives succeeded in making Vash forget everything so that he could be turned against humanity except. he still doesn't turn against humanity.

No idea who he is, what's going on, where they are, what a gun even is, but he's still hopelessly dedicated to Not Hurting People for some reason because it's part of who he is, deeper than any memory Knives can take and. Literally nothing about his core personality or beliefs change. He manages to escape, and the twins go back to the same game of cat and mouse they've been playing for 150 years. But Vash just doesn't remember Knives anymore. Wouldn't Knives. feel a bit silly. a bit. foolish. :)

i have a lot of Thoughts about this au. specifically where both kni and vash's goals differ but yet i still try to keep the same. the shift is, who was the one who got rem's speech after tesla's revelation.

kni uses his powers of creation so as not to let his sisters suffer the end of a last run anymore. hence the black hair. meanwhile, vash doesn't want to eradicate all of humanity, but to control them and strip them of their free will. he thinks in this way, he could control how plants are to be treated and kni won't have to slowly kill himself for the Humans and their sisters. he's starting a cult lmao

I've seen the theories that Miles didn't really burn the Mona Lisa because it was just a copy or whatever but may I just say, the story just doesn't work unless it's the real one? If it's a fake then Miles' fuel just burned his own house down. The way in which the narrative displays his separation from the higher plane as an ultimate act of rejection from a being capable of divine and unconditional love that somehow cannot accept him, in which the rejection itself was caused by his own jealousy of humanity and subsequent desire to destroy that which the other loved as a means to free both himself and those like him from servitude to these “lesser beings”, all of which can be traced back to his initial twisted desire to be loved in a way he could understand (something that at is fundamentally misaligned from his counterpart) that ultimately ends in his own destruction and the sacrifice of the counterpart for the sake of humanity IS PART OF HIM. And I for one, love him for it 💖
