Several Ontario hospitals are bringing back mask mandates for staff with COVID-19 cases on the rise once again â a clear sign the province has entered a new wave, an expert explains.
St. Joseph's Healthcare and Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) updated their masking guidelines on Wednesday, requiring staff to wear masks when interacting with patients.
âWhile we anticipate requiring clinical masking through the peak of the respiratory season, we intend for this to be a temporary measure,â an internal memo sent to HHS hospital staff said on Monday.
Masks became required in clinical-areas at Guelph General Hospital on Sept. 11 while remaining optional in hallways and meeting rooms. Earlier this month, some eastern Ontario hospitals in Kingston and Ottawa also made moves towards masks.
At a number of Toronto-area hospitals, including at Mount Sinai, North York General, Women's College, Lakeridge, St. Josheph's and St. Michael's Unity Health, masks continue to be required in patient-care areas but are optional elsewhere. [...]

Remembering A Hardcore Legend: Celebrating The Life And Career of Terry Funk
Today is the one year anniversary of the passing of the legendary Terry Funk. I hope this article helps you all understand who he was and why he is important to wrestling.
Terrance â Terryâ Dee Funk was born to Dorothy and Dory Funk Sr. on June 30, 1944 in Hammond, Indiana . He had an older brother , Dory Funk Jr. the Funk family soon moved to Texas during the end of World War II. Terry and Dory spent their childhood in the wrestling business as their father was a wrestling promoter. After high school, Terry attended college at West Texas A & M University, where he was also an athlete. He was on the football team and on the amateur wrestling team.
Terry Funk had a career which took place for half of a century ( 50 years ) . He was also known for the hardcore style of wrestling , which he is considered one of the pioneers for . His career began in 1965 at his father âs wrestling promotion , Western States Sports out of Amarillo , Texas. He became the NWA World Heavyweight Champion in 1975 after replacing his brother , Dory, who was set to face Jack Brisco for the championship. Dory never showed up to the promotion for the match. He also had a rivalry with â The American Dream â Dusty Rhodes , with Funk coining the catchphrase, â Dusty Sucks Eggs â . He also spent part of his career in Japan in the promotion, All Japan Pro Wrestling ( AJPW ). This was from 1972 to 1991.
Funk soon found his way to World Wrestling Federation from 1985 to 1986. He also had a stint in World Championship Wrestling ( WCW ) from 1989 to 1990 and again in 1994 . He returned to Japan in 1994 as a part of the International Wrestling Association of Japan ( IWA). He participated in the King of The Death Match Tournament in 1995. He would also have a stint in Extreme Championship Wrestling ( ECW ) from 1993 to 1997. He would have rivalries with stars such as Cactus Jack ( Mick Foley ) , Raven, Stevie Richards, Sabu, and his protege , Tommy Dreamer. He was even ECW World Heavyweight Champion before losing the championship to Sabu during a Barbed Wire Match at Born To Be Wired in 1997. Funk would soon find his way back to the WWF in 1997.
Terry Funk would be a surprise entrant in the 1997 WWF Royal Rumble at number 24. He was in the match for 15 minutes and 18 seconds until being eliminated by Mankind ( Mick Foley ). He had a short retirement before returning to the company in December of the same year to become tag team partners with Mick Foley. He adopted the gimmick , â Chainsaw Charlie â. He would also form a tag time with 2 Cold Scorpio during his time in WWF as well. He would return to ECW in 1998 and had a rivalry with Tommy Dreamer before a second retirement in 1999. Funk would return to WCW in 2000. He make appearances in Ring Of Honor , Total Nonstop Action Wrestling and Major League Wrestling. He would also spend time on the Independent Wrestling circuit before making a few more appearances in the WWE. Terry alongside his brother , Dory , would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2009 by Dusty Rhodes. However , Terry would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a solo wrestler by Mick Foley . In 2016, Funk was seen at Wrestlemania 32 giving advice to Dean Ambrose ( Jon Moxley ) , before his match against Brock Lesnar, which was a No Holds Barred Street Fight. Funk gifted Ambrose a chainsaw as a nod to his Chainsaw Charlie gimmick . He would return to the Indie scene the same year .
Terry Funk passed away at the age of 79 in Phoenix , Arizona. On the August 25 edition of Friday Night Smackdown , the WWE paid tribute Funk and Bray Wyatt , who passed away the next day. Thus , in honor of Funk , â The American Nightmare â Cody Rhodes , came down to the ring and announced a Terry Funk Memorial Hardcore Tag Team match with the participants being The Street Profits and The Brawling Brutes.
Wrestlers such as Mick Foley , Tommy Dreamer, Eddie Kingston , and Jon Moxley have all credited Funk for influencing their careers. Bret Hart has also praised him for being one of the greatest in ring performers.
My Final Thoughts:
There will never be another Terry Funk. If it was wasnât for him being so influential in hardcore wrestling , I think that we wouldnât have promotions such as Game Changer Wrestling ( GCW ) , which is known for deathmatch wrestling and I donât think hardcore wrestling would be popular . Terry Funk was one of those wrestlers who influenced almost everyone . Watching his matches on the internet and on Peacock, makes me wish I could go back in time and watch live . He is a reason why I love Deathmatch and Hardcore Wrestling. Long Live The Funker! Go watch a Terry Funk match if you havenât ! Youâll be amazed!
1944-2023
Love You All,
- Kay

HERE COMES THE JUDGE "When Judge Tanya Chutkan presides over the new criminal case against Donald Trump, it wonât be her first time tangling with the former president and his lawyers.
In fact, the U.S. district court judge already dealt the ex-president one of the most significant legal blows of his lifetime, triggering perhaps the greatest deluge of evidence about his bid to subvert the 2020 election â a scheme for which he now stands charged with serious crimes.
The Obama-appointed jurist ruled in fall 2021 that the House Jan. 6 select committee could access reams of Trumpâs White House files â a ruling that was subsequently upheld by an appeals court and left undisturbed by the Supreme Court. That evidence â call logs, memos, internal strategy papers and more from the desks of Trumpâs most trusted advisers â became the backbone of the committeeâs evidence and shaped much of the publicâs understanding of his effort to seize a second term he didnât win.
Much of that evidence resurfaced Tuesday in special counsel Jack Smithâs four-count indictment of Trump, which referenced call logs and White House records that were already familiar to Americans who tracked the Jan. 6 committee proceedings. Chutkan was randomly selected Tuesday to preside over Trumpâs latest criminal case, his third in the last four months.
âPresidents are not kings, and Plaintiff is not President,â Chutkan wrote in her 2-year-old ruling, a rebuke that is sure to echo as she prepares to preside over the newest criminal case against the current GOP frontrunner for the presidential nomination in 2024.
Chutkan, 61, was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and came to the U.S. for college as a teenager, attending George Washington University and then law school at the University of Pennsylvania. She spent more than a decade as a public defender in Washington, D.C. She later worked for the law firm Boies Schiller & Flexner before being confirmed as a federal trial judge in Washington in 2014.
Chutkan has avoided some of the most pointed criticisms of Trump that some of her colleagues on the federal bench in D.C. have delivered as theyâve sentenced defendants who participated in the Jan. 6 mob that attacked the Capitol as part of Trumpâs bid to remain in power. Judge Reggie Walton has called Trump a âcharlatan.â Judge Amit Mehta has said Jan. 6 defendants were âpawnsâ of Trump and his allies. Judge Amy Berman Jackson has chastised Republicans for refusing to level with Trump about the 2020 election.
âIt is not patriotism, it is not standing up for America to stand up for one man â who knows full well that he lost â instead of the Constitution he was trying to subvert,â Jackson said at a sentencing last year.
But Chutkan has delivered some of the harshest sentences to Jan. 6 defendants and made her disgust and horror over the attack clear, lamenting the prospect of renewed political violence in 2024 and noting that no one accused of orchestrating the effort to subvert the election had been held accountable.
âYou have made a very good point,â she told Jan. 6 rioter Robert Palmer at his December 2021 sentencing, âthat the people who exhorted you and encouraged you and rallied you to go and take action and to fight have not been charged.â
âThe issue of who has or has not been charged is not before me. I donât have any influence on that,â she said. âI have my opinions, but they are not relevant.â
But Chutkan also said that reality wasnât a reason to go easy on those who bought into the election lies and acted upon that belief.
âThe people who planned this and funded it and encouraged it havenât been charged, but thatâs not a reason for you to get a lower sentence,â she said. âI have to make it clear that the actions you engaged in cannot happen again. Every day weâre hearing about reports of antidemocratic factions of people plotting violence, the potential threat of violence, in 2024.â
Chutkan has alluded more specifically to Trump in other Jan. 6 sentences, including her first â to misdemeanor defendant Carl Mazzocco, who Chutkan said âwent to the Capitol in support of one man, not in support of our country.â
During those early months of the Jan. 6 investigation, Chutkan also staked out territory that some of her colleagues were reluctant to tread: She pointedly rejected the equivalence some defendants were drawing between violence adjacent to Black Lives Matter protests and the riot at the Capitol.
One Trump-appointed judge, Trevor McFadden, had raised sharp questions about whether Jan. 6 defendants were being treated more harshly than people accused of similar conduct during the summertime violence of 2020.
âI think the U.S. attorney would have more credibility if it was even-handed in its concern about riots and mobs in this city,â McFadden said at the time.
Chutkan, while sentencing a defendant in a different case, appeared to allude to her colleagueâs remark, before saying she âflatlyâ disagreed.
âPeople gathered all over the country last year to protest the violent murder by the police of an unarmed man. Some of those protesters became violent,â Chutkan said of the protests and rioting that followed George Floydâs death. âBut to compare the actions of people protesting, mostly peacefully, for civil rights, to those of a violent mob seeking to overthrow the lawfully elected government is a false equivalency and ignores a very real danger that the January 6 riot posed to the foundation of our democracy.â

Toni Hamel
Born (1961) in Italy. Lives and works in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
Toni Hamel describes her work as âan illustrated commentary on human frailtiesâ. Rooted in story-telling, her art practice draws from personal experiences and outward observations to create thematic bodies of work that reflect on and interpret the psychological unease of this anthropocentric age. Virtues and vices, the holy and the profane, the good and the bad all share equal weight in her work and supply an infinite source of material for her investigations. Pointing to historical references, popular culture and our current conceptual standing, Hamelâs satirical narratives ultimately seem to question our behaviour while alerting us about the repercussions of our current thinking models.
Hamel is the recipient of three Ontario Arts Council grants (2011, 2012, 2014). Her work has been exhibited in public and commercial galleries in Canada and abroad, and is included in the art collections of J. J. Abrams, Whoopi Goldberg, the Government of Ontario, the Omer DeSerres Corporation, the Robert McLaughlin Gallery and many other private collections around the world.

Growing up, you always wanted to work in television production. And you always wanted to be a wrestler. So when you were deciding your future career goals (and figuring out you werenât that athletic), you decided to combine the two and wanted to become a promoter or producer in a wrestling company. After just graduating from college and working the independent wrestling scene since you were 16 as a manager, you soon got calls to work backstage at different companies. Then at 22 years old, you were signed by All Elite Wrestling.
At the fastest-growing pro-wrestling promotion, your roles in the company include creative writer and creative producer. So basically, you help out with storylines and the gimmicks of wrestlers and personnel. Even though for the most part wrestlers create their promos and âscriptsâ by themselves, they still have to ask for the okay and help now and then. As you are the mentee of your boss, Tony Kahn, you are hit with tasks every day: getting coffee, talking to talent about their storylines, approving promo topics, running meetings about how storylines should go, and explaining to Eddie Kingston why he cannot stab Claudio.
You were a friendly face amongst the talent and other backstage hands as you were the delicate words to Tonyâs rough actions. And then with you being one of the youngest members of AEWâs personnel, everyone saw you as their little sister; The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Ricky Starks, Renee Paquette, Dustin Rhodes; even Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston adore you. As you walked into the arena for AEW Rampage, you were stopped by your best friend, Skye Blue (who helped you with the drink tray as you had held two bags).
âGirl, you look like an intern from New York,â Skye said giggling.
You sighed, âI might as well as be one. Tony has been moving at level 100 this past week. Ratings and pressure from the locker room have been getting to him lately.â
âWhat do you have to do today?â
âUmm, finalize matches on the card, talk to Max about his rap, create an outline for the creative meeting, listen to MJF rant for ten minutes again,â you were cut off by your cell phone alerting you about a text, you read your screen and continue to talk. âAnd talk Eddie out of murdering someone.â
Skye laughed, âSounds like a full day. But Iâm surprised to hear that your day doesnât include one person.â
âWho?â You asked as Skye stopped in her tracks. âWhat?â She just raised her eyebrows and winked in response. Your eyes widened as you realized who she was talking about. âShut up!â You started walking faster to the backstage table for producers.
Skye was talking about Darius Martin, one-half of the incredible tag team Top Flight. Ever since you arrived in AEW, youâve been interested in Darius. He and his brother Dante were the first friends you made in AEW. They even invited you to join their friend group with Hook and Anthony Bowens. Darius was everything you wanted in a significant other: smart, kind, insanely funny, athletic, and most importantly reliable. He was there every time you needed something, it didnât matter whether it was 3 PM or 3 AM, he was always there.
But somewhere down the line, you were convinced not to pursue a relationship with him. You didnât wanna ruin the friendship that you had with him, especially when you couldnât tell if he liked you back.
As you sat your stuff down at the production table, Skye sat the coffee cups down. âWhy donât you ask him out? Itâs clear that you like him.â
âThere are multiple reasons.â
âIt better not be because of me and his brother.â She said raising an eyebrow, to which you gave a small smile. âY/N!â Another reason why is that you knew Skye and Dante were exes (and you did not complicate their relationship). âOkay, you need to understand that what happened between with me and Dante was between us. I donât care that you like his brother, itâs not like youâre breaking the girl code. Besides, you have to be a complete idiot if you think that Darius doesnât like you.â
âI know that for a fact.â You said through your teeth.
A voice from behind you spoke up, âKnow what for a fact?â And just from the honey and smoothness in their voice, you know for a fact that it was Darius right behind you. You turned around to his beautiful brown eyes gazing into yours. Honestly? You almost either jumped in his arms or melted right then and there.
âThat Tony likes his coffee lukewarm.â You blurted out quickly.
Darius shrugged and said âEw, lukewarm coffee, I knew he was a weird dude. Anyways, are you ready for the hangout tonight? We were thinking Dave and Busters, they donât close until 1.â
âYeah, but I might have a meeting afterward, so I might be late.â
âThatâs okay, weâll wait for you.â
âReally? For little old me?â
âAnything for my favorite girl,â Darius said with a smile. To you immediately looked down and started blushing (automatically feeling butterflies from the nickname). He gave you a quick hug (and what you could have sworn was a kiss on the crown of your head) and told Skye bye before leaving. Looking back up, you see Skye with a shit-eating grin. You quickly dismissed her and sat down, getting ready to tackle the day.
Hours later, you completed everything on your to-do list and found some downtime. You found yourself texting Darius with a wide-ass grin on your face.
Just as you were about to respond, you were met with a booming voice, âWhat the fuck is this shit?â You looked up to see Sammy Guevara walking over to you with an angry face. He put his phone in your face with the phone reading Sammy Guevara vs Eddie Kingston.
Looking back up, you said, âWhatâs the problem?â
âWhy am I wrestling Eddie? That literally makes no sense! Eddie has no business in the ring with me!â He said standing over you. You quickly got up to put distance between yourselves as people turned their heads to see what was going on.
You stuttered out, âTony made the match and told me to confirm with the production crew.â It was true. Tony wrote the matches on tonightâs card and gave it to you. At first, you admit, it was strange and you questioned him; but he brushed you off as he was busy with other things (so you decided to let it be).
âNo! No, Tony would never be this stupid! You are horrible at your job! I donât know why he has a kid doing this job!â He got closer, yelling at you. You started to slightly hyperventilate as you donât do well in high-pressure situations (and certainly not when someone is yelling two inches away from your face). Due to your anxiety, you hated confrontation and tried everything to avoid it; including taking responsibility and moving on. Your eyes started to water as he continued yelling, âOh youâre gonna cry?!â
You quietly said, âIâm sorryâ
âI bet you are! You better fix this or-â
âOr what Guevara?â Another voice spoke up. You turned to see an angry Darius marching up to Sammy with Dante, Hook, and Anthony not far behind him. As soon as he got in Sammyâs face, Darius pulled you behind him (essentially shielding you). He pushed Sammy which caused him to get back in Dariusâ face, âYou ainât gonna do shit, you better back the hell up.â
âI-â
âYouâre not gonna scream at her, she was just doing what-â
âNo! Sheâs screwing up tonight! My-â
Darius raised his voice, cutting him off, âShe was doing her job! Now either you accept your match or you take it up to Tony when he gets here. But youâre not gonna yell at her, not while Iâm here.â Sammy glared at you before stomping away, curse words and all. Darius immediately turned to you and hugged you, softly caressing your hair. âAre you okay, sweetheart?â You shook your head as tears fell down your face and as your body was shaking due to your hyperventilation. He quickly ushered you to his locker room, where he sat you down and gave you a water bottle. You took various sips as he went through the 5-4-3-2-1 method with you. As you got down to the final step, your breathing slowed down and your tears dried. âName 1 thing you taste.â
âThe lint from your shirt mixing with this water.â You said, making him laugh. âThank you for helping me and calming me down.â
âDonât thank me, Iâm supposed to do that. Truth be told, I want to fight him.â Darius said, rubbing your arm.
âWell, good thing you didnât. But again I appreciate you so much.â
âOf course, I got your back. As a friend or something more.â He said, his voice drifting off.
Your eyes widened as your head turned toward him. âDarius, what?â
Darius slightly chuckled, âI really thought I was obvious. Y/N, I really want us to be more than friends. I donât ever want you to feel disrespected, especially when Iâm in your life.â He grabbed your hands. âYou should never have to feel anxious, especially when I would do anything for you. I will always be right there for you.â
Your eyes sparkled and your heart thumped at the words. âI didn't think you liked me like how I like you. But, would you really do anything for me?â You asked.
He nodded his head, "Anything for my favorite girl." Your heart fluttered at the familiar nickname yet again.
âYou promise?â
âHereâs my promise,â Darius said as he leaned in and gave you a long yet soft kiss. âY/N, I will do anything and everything for you. I promise to make you the happiest woman on Earth and I promise to give you my all. If you accept me as your boyfriend.â
Giggling, you said, âOf course, I would love for you to be my boyfriend.â Darius kissed you again as knocking occurred at the door. In rolled, Hook, Dante, and Anthony checking up on you guys. While Darius was explaining your newfound relationship, you got a text.
That night, you walked away from the arena happier and more relieved with your new boyfriend in tow.

Kathleen M. Gorman
Together, we celebrate the life of Kathy Gorman, who passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 24th, 2024. Born on August 26, 1943, she was the second child of John and Sara Gormanâs nine children.Â
Kathy was born in Kingston, PA and moved to Forty Fort at the age of eight. She attended Forty Fort schools. In high school, she enjoyed participating as a majorette in the Forty Fort High School Marching Band. Kathy was an outstanding swimmer actively involved in the sport of water ballet and synchronized swimming. Throughout high school and college, she worked at the International Color Printing Company alongside many family members, helping print what we all loved and called the âcomicsâ.
Kathy attended Misericordia College and graduated with her degree in Secretarial Science. She moved to West Islip, Long Island, New York and began her teaching career at Lindenhurst Public School, Lindenhurst, NY. She spent the next twenty-eight years at Deer Park High School in Deer Park, NY as a teacher. She also served as chairman of the business department at Deer Park. She continued her education and received her masterâs degree in secondary education from Hofstra University and then a professional diploma in Educational Administration from Long Island University. Kathy retired from teaching and moved to Ormond Beach, Florida and chose to resume her career in teaching at St. Brendan Catholic School in Ormond Beach. Her dedication as a teacher enlightened young minds, and Kathy devoted her life to shaping these minds with wisdom, kindness and passion. We honor her legacy for her devotion to education.
Kathy earned respect from her students, and they knew that everything she did for them was in their best interests. Many of us have had a teacher that stands out in our lives. We believe Kathy was that teacher.
Kathy brought joy and laughter into all of our lives. Her love for entertaining, and her love for crocheting brought happiness to many. It was a joy for her to show off the gift of her hand-made afghans that were given to many family members and friends. Her love of and her ability to pull off an impromptu party was amazing! She had a knack for calling you and inviting you for a bite to eat. There was always the infamous pot of chili, famous chicken rice soup, and Sara Gormanâs recipe and brother Tomâs favorite - ham, waxed beans and potatoes - simmering on the stove. She loved big gatherings of her friends while living in Florida and could plan a major celebration with only a day or twoâs notice. Her most notorious event was on Easter Sunday. Kathy planned one of her usual gatherings with mounds of food she prepared. There were unseen circumstances causing cancellations. Kathy, not wanting to waste the effort put into this wonderful meal, she packed everything into the trunk of her car and drove to the local fire department. The squad had a delicious feast! What better way to celebrate! The âguysâ even asked for one of her recipes. Hooray for Kathy for making what could have been an unfortunate ending into a day of celebration for all.Â
Kathy delighted in the videos of her grandchildren, Mady and Jack, and hearing about their many awards and adventures. She looked forward to her children and grandchildrenâs visits to Florida and enjoyed vacations and sharing time with them.Â
This past year, Kathy made the decision to move back to Forty Fort to be closer to her family and friends on Myers Street with her two brothers just down the road. Everyone hoped we could petition the town fathers and re-name it Gorman Lane.
Kathy is survived by her daughter Suzanne Gollhofer and Carlos, her son Rob Gollhofer and wife Leslie, grandchildren Jack and Mady, brothers and sisters â Judy LoTruglio (Peter), Mariel Batjiaka (Paul), Tom Gorman (Mary), Susan Quigley (Bob), Beth Harkins (Jim), Joan McCue (Jack), Margaret Weber (Jim), John Gorman (Susan), many nieces, nephews and so many more extended family including all of her canine friends from the neighborhood that she so enjoyed. We also would like to acknowledge her special Florida friend, Scott Botka, who always offered a helping hand and friendship.
Family and friends are invited on Thursday, December 5th from 4 to 7 PM at Hugh B. Hughes & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort.
Funeral will be held on Friday, December 6th at 10:30 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 116 Hughes St., Swoyersville. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the Church.
If you would like, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Blue Chip Farm Animal Rescue, Dallas, PA (https://bcfanimalrefuge.org/donate/); 974 Lockville Rd., Dallas, PA 18612.

HARTFORD WOLF PACK REPORTER'S NOTEBOOK
By: Gerry Cantlon, Howlings HARTFORD, CT - For the Hartford Wolf Pack and their parent organization, the New York Rangers, the lazy, hazy summer days are winding down. The teams are two weeks away from training camp opening in Tarrytown, NY and then the Wolf Pack training camp at the XL Center starts a couple of weeks later. There are still moves being made in the hockey world. The Rangers have hired Angela Ruggiero (Choate Rosemary Hall-Wallingford) to join Peter Lavioletteâs coaching staff as a Hockey Operations Adviser. No clear reporting on what her responsibilities will be. Rangers President Chris Drury (Trumbull) and she were both selected and entered the US Hockey Hall of Fame together with the Class of 2015. Ruggerio played for several US Women's Olympic teams and won a gold, two silvers, and a bronze medal. She earned four gold medals and six silvers in international World Championship action. In 1999, the Harvard grad with an MBA degree won a national title with the Crimson, and the defenseman won the Patty Kazmier Award as the top college female hockey athlete in 2004. She played for two womenâs professional leagues in her active playing days. She was part of the CWHL (Canadian Womenâs Hockey League) and the WWHL (Western Womenâs Hockey League) during her 11-year career. Ruggerio retired in 2011. She has been involved in the business side of hockey since then. Hiring Ruggerio is part of the overall revamping of the Rangers coaching staff. HARTFORD CONNECTED ATHLETES MAKING MOVES Casey Torres, an ex-Pack assistant coach for one year and who was out of hockey last year, is back in. was named the assistant coach for the Windsor Spitfires (OHL). After a year off from hockey, ex-Pack Peter Holland signs with the Colorado Avalanche organization and will likely be skating with the Colorado Eagles next season. Holland last played in Sweden two years ago. Holland was traded from the Wolf Pack in 2018-19, a week after then-captain Cole Schneider. The belief is that Schneider was dealt because of the manner in which he tried to motivate then rookie, and now an unsigned ex-Pack, Libor HĂĄjek. Apparently, Schneider's actions angered former Wolf Pack head coach Keith McCambridge, who is now an assistant coach with the Bakersfield Condors. Ex-Pack Jake Elmer dissolves his contract with Odense in Denmark and signs with the Dundee Stars (Scotland-EIHL) for next season. Jeff Heil was a backup goaltender for 11 games during the Wolf Pack's first season. His son Caleb, also a goalie, is involved in the game. He played for the Sioux City (SD) U-16 AAA (T1EHL) team and nine games for the Sioux Falls Stampede (USHL) last season and has verbally committed to play in two years at the University of North Dakota (NCHC). Jabez Seymour, a Newfoundland native from the Selects Academy program at South Kent Prep-SKP U-15 team last year, signed with the Baie-Comeau Drakkar, who drafted him in the first-round 18th overall in the June QMJHL Draft. After six years as a head coach for Kootenay/Winnipeg Ice (WHL), ex-Whaler/Ranger James Patrick signed to be the new Director of Player Development for the Victoria Royals (WHL). The team in Winnipeg was sold to a group of the Wenatchee (WA) Wild, who moved up from the Junior A level BCHL to the major junior WHL. One of the players to start the year there will be Easton Armstrong, who is the youngest son of ex-Pack legend Derek Armstrong. He'll play his overage year to start with Wild. After four years as the Northern Ontario Scout for Kingston Frontenacs (OHL), ex-Sound Tiger Brent Gauvreau returns to his hometown as an assistant coach with the Sudbury Wolves (OHL). AHL signings to Europe now stand at 76. The latest, Alex Galchenyuk, leaves the Colorado Eagles (AHL) for SKA St. Petersburg (Russia-KHL). Sweden leads in the signees department with 30. Maxim Barbashev, who was in the Wolf Pack house late last season when his junior season ended but never played a game, was involved in a pre-season QMJHL trade as he was moved from the Moncton Wildcats and will play his third season with the Shawinigan Cataractes. Ex-Pack Josh Nicholls leaves Kunlun Red Star (China-KHL) for a second time and signs with the Sheffield Steelers (England-EIHL). SIGNINGS/TRANSFERS The college to pro signings North America/Europe, and the transfer in-school and graduate continues. North America first, Hockey East leads all conferences with 38, and the NCHC conference has 37. The Big Ten and the CCHA each have 34, the ECACHL 25, and the AHA 21. Division III is at 32, and attending Canadian colleges four and undergrads departing early is 39. Independent Division I schools now have 14, signed in Europe is 62, and returning to American junior hockey is two. Incoming freshmen will feature Oliver Flynn (Wolcott/CT Chiefs (AYHL)/Loomis Chafee Prep-Windsor). Forward Joey Muldowney, D Owen Simpson, and Bauer Swift (West Hartford/Choate Rosemary Hall-Wallingford). Swift has an older brother (Cooper) and younger brother (Easton) involved in hockey and are both named after a hockey equipment brand. Rayen PetrovickĂ˝, the son of former Hartford Whaler and Ranger RĂłbert PetrovickĂ˝, elects to sign with VHK Vestin (Czechia (Czech Republic-Division-II) for 2023-24. It took just two days for ex-Yale Bulldog Ken Agostinoâs one-year deal with SkellefteĂĽ AIK (Sweden-SHL) to be terminated. The team said it received backlash for signing someone who played in Russia for the last two years with the ongoing war in Ukraine. He played on the 2022 US Olympic squad at the Beijing Games. Howlings previously reported on the strange anomaly of current and ex-North American players signing deals with KHL clubs despite the war and public declaration that the NHL wanted nothing to do with Russia, where no transfer agreement exists. A long line of players behind Agostino have all done the same thing. Per Elite Prospects.com, as of last week, 53 North Americans are in the KHL, 39 Canadians, 15 Americans, and 22 players from EU nations are listed in the KHL. Russian and European training camps are about to end as their regular season starts next month. Will other EU clubs announce their rescinding any dealings with any of these players or others? Wolcott native Nick DiNicola, who played youth hockey for the CT Jr. Wolves (AYHL), CT Clippers (AYHL), Hartford Jr. Wolf Pack (ATJHL), CT (Stamford) Yankees (USPHL-Premier) then under the direction of ex-Wolf Pack/Sound Tiger Jeff Hamilton (Yale University & AOF) and had five games with the Danbury Hat Tricks (FPHL) leaves Como (Italy Division-2) for Chiavenna (Italy Division-3) for next season. By the way, Hamilton has owned the CT Jr. Rangers (NCDC) for the last two years and is out as owner. He was involved with the Mid-Fairfield Rangers U-14 team as head coach last year. Five ex-Whalers were at the golf club at Avon Country Club last weekend for a charity event. They included Ron Francis, Ulf Samuelsson, Mike Liut, Dave Tippett, and Joel Quenneville. The tournament was named, honoring Quinneville's late nephew Connor Scott Zieky. None of them made it to the Yard Goats Whaler Day last month. The Yard Goats official assistant GM, Dean Zappolorti, said Francis informed him he would come next year and help him recruit other players to attend. If that happens and Pat Boutette gets Mike Rogers and Blaine Stoughton to return, it will be a home run (pun intended) next year. Ex-Pack Domenic Moore is playing in the Over-40 Senior Canadian Tennis Championships. During the hockey season, he works as an Analyst for ESPN. An NHL source regarding the Phoenix situation. âItâs a mess. We hear that they're looking to secure land now, but they have to get something soon. Itâs become an embarrassmentâŚa sore point for the league, a black eye. The playerâs association is unhappy, theyâre losing money and owners are getting tired of spending money to keep them going. Sooner or later, something has to give, soon, it just canât keep going on like this. When a kid like (Logan) Cooley, a next generation likely NHL star, signs reluctantly, leaving a larger arena he had in college (Minnesota) for a smaller one in Arizona, that theyâre not even selling out, things have to get done in short order. Theyâre gonna have to move them most likely if they donât nail things down soon.â HARTFORD WOLF PACK HOME Read the full article

If only everyone would have read this article prior to the 2020 election. Biden was a liar, is a liar and will continue to tell lies as the walls coming crashing down around him and his family. Why lie about stupid stuff? But to the radical progressive party the ends justify the means; they will circle the wagons and hold no Biden accountable for their actions.
Direct Quotes
Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr., his Democratic presidential campaign battered by charges of plagiarism in his campaign speeches and in a law school paper, admitted yesterday that some of his boasts about his college academic achievements were untrue
Biden also claimed that he had attended law school at Syracuse University on a full academic scholarship, that he had been named the outstanding student in the political science department as an undergraduate at the University of Delaware, and that he had graduated from Delaware with three undergraduate degrees.
Biden admitted that these claims were "inaccurate."
my recollection on this was inaccurate
Biden held a news conference last week at which he confirmed he had faced disciplinary action on a charge of plagiarizing part of a law school paper as a freshman, and admitted that he had sometimes borrowed quotes from other politicians, including Robert F. Kennedy, Hubert H. Humphrey and British Labor Party leader Neil Kinnock.
he graduated 76th out of a law school class of 85
academic records show that he graduated from Delaware 506th in a class of 688 with a "C" average and that he got his undergraduate degree with a dual major in history and political science.
In response to some suggestions that the Delaware bar might not have admitted him to practice in 1968 had it known of the first-year law school disciplinary action, Biden said that when he applied for admission the dean of the Syracuse Law School wrote to Delaware authorities that his "records reflect nothing whatsoever of a derogatory nature" that called into question his integrity or ability.
"Not wanting to leave any questions, however, I have written the chief justice of the Delaware Supreme Court bringing these facts to his attention," Biden said.
He also challenged suggestions he may not have won a moot court competition he said he won.
"I did, with my partner Jared Jossem, win an international moot court competition at Kingston, Ontario, on December 12, 1967," he said.
