A couple of years back, I didn't understand the ship, until I picked up that book, opened it, and read it. My mind was like, "Oh! So that is why people like them so much!" Because Tallstar seemed pretty attracted to Jake, and attached to him. It was sad when they departed.

8. This is really good, and awesome, they loved being around eachother in Graystripe's Vow. Honestly, Flipclaw should have never left the tribe so he can be with Feather.

7. I feel like the books in A Starless Clan just says that Whistlepaw and Frostpaw should be together. Whistlepaw has helped Frostpaw out during the newest book. Well at least the first half, I have not finished it yet.

6. I think the dynamic of these two are hilarious, just think that after a long time of Sunbeam and Lightleap hating eachother, they would just be together, and Nightheart would be just like, ":o" and I just love Lightleap in general.

5. I think of the same for these two. Honestly it would make Lionblaze the slightest bit more interesting than his relationship with Cinderheart. Same for Berrynose. I also respect Jayberry as well. Jayberry is the other best Jayfeather ship besides Jaykestrel, and Jayfuzz.

4. This is Canon too. I think Ravenpaw x Barley is more clear than Tallstar x Jake, and Barley is the definition emotional support for Ravenpaw. Ravenpaw's Path is cool, and Ravenpaw's Farewell is okay. I hope Barley will see Ravenpaw again someday, he is basically 10 million years old if there is no more info on Barley.

3. I think everyone expected Mothpool to be on everyone's top 10 list. It really reads like Leafpool had a crush on Mothwing before Crowfeather came along. I was obsessed with this ship back in March of 2023.

2. This is my favorite rarepair in Warrior Cats for literally no reason. I just think that Hazeltail being happy to be around Hollyleaf is really cute for like I said, no reason. I am glad this ship is getting noticed by other people.

1! My heart is so happy to put Kestreljay on this list! Jaykestrel, Kestreljay, whatever you call it is my life! I get so happy when someone makes Kestreljay. Even draws it. I love this ship because back in the book Long Shadows, Jaypaw showed up in Kestrelpaw's dreams, and it seems like Kestrelpaw dreams about him often because he didn't seemed weirded out, or bothered. He was happy to see him. And what also gets me is back in Outcast where Kestrelpaw asked Jaypaw what is it was like to be blind. I thought that was funny. Everyone knows how Jayfeather acts. Power of Twelve Book Titles and Blurbs

Book 1: Fated Stars

“There will be three, kin of your kin...who hold the power of the stars in their paws.”

Those were the words whispered in the ears of the clan leaders. After a devastating battle rocks the foundation of the clans, new power has arisen and peace looks to be on the horizon. The Clans are growing strong and healthy with new kits. Now, the time has come for some of those kits to become apprentices.

With powerful legacies hanging over them, these wild cats hear the call of the stars, and a ThunderClan apprentice known as Jaypaw is at the center. Brought together for a purpose they do not yet understand, perhaps this mysterious fifth clan will have the answers they seek.

But with great power comes those who wish to claim it for themselves. As dark powers lurk and tempt the young cats, they will need to put aside their differences to overcome the challenges ahead.

Book 2: Black Moon

Jaypaw, Dawnpaw, Kestrelpaw, and Pebblepaw have found SkyClan and learned their ways, guiding them in turn towards the lake territories. But back home things aren’t looking bright. A mysterious cat named Sol is turning the clans against each other during their moment of weakness, and his accomplice seems to know a great deal about WindClan’s leader.

The gifted apprentices are learning they really aren’t as different as the clans make them out to be, but high tensions are putting their alliance in danger. When one of their own is taken hostage by the enemy, it’ll take all of their power to bring her home safely.

Book 3: Calm Waters

Sol and his rogues have retreated, and the clans are stronger now than ever. SkyClan has joined them at the lake, and while many are eager to welcome those who helped them, others are apprehensive to the change.

As their knowledge of The Dark Forest continues to grow, so too does their knowledge of StarClan. The stars were always heralded as their savior, and yet Jayfeather finds himself questioning the very cats he communes with.

Book 4: Dust

The alliance has been broken, trust shattered after Jayfeather’s revelation. Some attempt to move on from the prophecy, while others take matters into their own paws. From the dust and remnants, the warriors are training their own apprentices, and discovering more than they expected.

When a cat from the mountains comes to RiverClan claiming she was guided by the spirit of RiverClan’s chosen, questions arise on what more the stars ask of them.

The Dark Forest grows stronger, preying on the weakness within the cats of the living. With Lionblaze’s anger, Tigerheart’s longing, and Minnowtail’s love, will any of these cats be able to free themselves like Harespring?

Book 5: Secret in the Flames

Having found the true cats with the stars in their paws, the alliance has slowly rebuilt itself, with unlikely allies being found in every corner. Jayfeather knows the end draws near, but whispers of traitorous secrets reveal they were never as safe as they thought.

With the return of an enemy thought to have been gone, tensions are rising, and the cats look to Jayfeather for answers. But when loss becomes too great, will the cats be able to persevere and lead their clanmates to victory?

Book 6: The Last Hope

The Dark Forest is ready to lay siege to the clans. As the cats prepare to lead their clans into battle, they find themselves divided in order to face this threat. They cannot hide any longer. The final battle is here, and this is their last hope.

Moon 221-Greenleaf

Primcrest (63) decides to check in on the dark-cursed kits.  She knows that things have been. . .odd lately, with so many of them in the Clan.  Especially considering all the kits are unproven.  Their powers are evident by the fact that, even in the warmth of greenleaf, things keep dying around them.  Dawnkit (5) says that he feels like Xhosa (89) doesn’t like him much.  Echokit (2) says that he noticed Kestrelpaw (10) sharpening her claws near him.  And Flowerkit (5) just wants to be a leader like her namesake so she can have permission to boss other cats around all the time.  Alright then.  Rubbleheart (17) wonders why Kestrelpaw is so withdrawn and he asks her.  She explains that it’s not because she doesn’t like other cats: she just enjoys spending time on her own.  Dawnkit thinks that Safariaster’s (128) pelt is really pretty and makes his light up to mimic it.  Tumblepaw (10) is proud of being the leader’s apprentice and shows off the skills she’s been working on to the kits.  Echokit is amazed by the wave she conjures and makes one of his own that splashes her and is bigger than her own. And then Goldenkit (2) dries her off with a giant gust of wind.  Well.  That show off session didn’t quite go as planned.

YAYYYYYYY THANK YOU!!!! i haven't said anything about either of those characters yet, so here we go!

Kestrelflight

-Unlike in canon, Barkface was unfortunately never around to train him- he died back during the forest destruction, succumbing to a combination of old age and sickness. The lack of a medic was a big contributor towards the WindClan Civil War. Mudclaw insisted on assigning a new medic, while Onewhisker insisted on waiting for a line to StarClan to be discovered so they could choose- and he also didn't want to force anyone into the position, even temporarily, so instead, Leafpaw spent a lot of time in WindClan as a temporary medic.

-MASSIVE point of contention. The cats were uncomfortable that he was once again letting a ThunderClan cat into a major position of power, while others insisted that they should appreciate Leafpaw's help when they had none. (This is also where LeafCrow starts here btw)

-It was only worse when they DIDN'T get an immediate sign, and yet no one was up to the task, so for a while WindClan just didn't have a medic. Leafpool eventually had to return after the scandal she committed with Crowfeather along with Cinderpelt's "death", and the clan was now vocally against letting another clan's medic help. But Onestar's fatal flaw is his stubbornness, and he was determined to keep his foot down and not turn back on his decision to wait for a sign. He was trying to keep his morals sooo bad.

-Finally though, they got Kestrelpaw, a young tom who had both the will and the signs to back him up. Poor guy had to deal with becoming an apprentice early at 4 moons though, they put him to work the instant he got the sign. They had StarClan be his mentor. Thankfully there were no serious epidemics or anything during his apprenticeship, but it was still a stressful time and he second-guessed his decision constantly.

-If this sounds familiar, it's because he's a parallel to Puddleshine. Kestrelflight is NOT pleased about being banned from helping the poor guy in AVoS- he knows EXACTLY what it's like in his position, except Puddle didn't even have a sign to back him up! He wanted to be a secondary mentor for the little guy, especially when the yellowcough epidemic nearly wiped out ShadowClan. He was PISSED about this.

-He actually starts off the series being a bit of a doormat, he's overly permissive and lets people walk all over him. Onestar doesn't like this and wants his medic to stand up for himself more because "we can't afford to show weakness" (Sire is projecting!). But after the debacle with Hollyleaf and Willowshine along with the dark forest, he becomes more cynical and less willing to deal with people's shit. Hence him breaking the embargo Onestar set as a "fuck you" to him specifically. (side note: since the Darktail plot is changed to not involve Onestar as much, the embargo plot may or may not stay. I do still plan to have him die in this arc though)

-He was close friends with Hollyleaf and Willowshine, though he definitely felt like a third wheel. He was aware of their relationship but never wanted to say anything out of fear of getting any of them in trouble. In fact, I'm thinking he helped hide Hollyleaf's pregnancy for the most part, though I'm not quite sure how. When Hollyleaf ran away, he was crushed and he tried to support Willowshine however he could, but she was very closed off after the incident and never stopped mourning the chance to know her kits, so he ended up losing her in a way too. It got somewhat better when Ivypaw was briefly a medic, but of course that didn't last.

-He actually had a crush on Jayfeather and was happy when he was briefly a medic, but it never really went anywhere sadly.

-Might hit him with the nby beam. Not sure yet though.

Mousewhisker

-In TNP, he's mostly handled the same as he is in canon! He's a kit that's accepted into ThunderClan with his family after he's in danger of being taken away and euthanized by the barn humans. I don't really have any additions to make there.

-I could be totally misremembering him, absolutely, but I always perceived him as a studious kid who seems like a goody two shoes, always giving an apple to the teacher and getting all As, and is sorta seen as stuffy for it, but in reality he loves to go behind people's backs and break the rules. He's got a sneaky streak! He spies on people a lot and he's no snitch- he'll help you sneak out of camp if he thinks he can get some fun out of it.

-Loves to "erm, actually-" people though. He's a teacher in the clan and he drives some of the apprentices crazy.

-He sneaks out consistently to meet with Minnowpaw/tail. The both of them decide to start training in the Dark Forest because they believe the DF cats' goal is to reform the code, and they want to remove the part that keeps them apart. This does not end well for them. Oops.

-Btw! I keep going back and forth on who the RiverClan three are, but I think I'm gonna shake up the family tree quite a bit here and make them Minnowtail, Beetlewhisker, and Rippletail. If canon doesn't care about their actual canon relationships and timelines then neither will I, these guys have the most material for me to work with so here we go. They're all Icewing's kits and after Rippletail's death, Minnow and Beetle and their mom all align with the Dark Forest, until Beetle also dies. Minnow is the sole survivor of her three.

-I'm not sure what Mousewhisker really does in the narrative himself, he's definitely just a supporting character to the RiverClan three's plots. I think the entire family is aware of him, and are actually cool with it and agree to try and get rid of the law so they can be together (Minnow and her sibs are also halfclan, Icewing has a leg in this too). Proto RiverClan family coup?

-He miiiight take Hazeltail's place death-wise, except he dies in the great battle instead of offscreen greencough. He fights for the clans, but ultimately gets killed trying to protect Minnowtail. Minnow may also be pregnant but idk who her kits will be. Poor girl goes THROUGH IT in The Last Hope.

Serpentstar's been following Larkpaw's progress for a while now, and feels it's finally time he gets his warrior name. He's gifted the name Larkcatcher, in honor of his enterprise!

Boulderheart gives Mistlepaw a friendly nudge when her name's called by Serpentstar. He watches with pride as Mistlepaw is given her new name, Mistlestripe, and honored for her dedication.

Logpaw & Ferncinder Logpaw isn't acting like his usual self. Ferncinder guides him to sit and asks him what's wrong. Logpaw, curled close to his mentor's side, whispers that he feels like a failure and he's not doing good enough. He's been an apprentice for way too long, and he just knows that if Milkweedpaw and Forestkit had lived, they'd have been warriors by now alongside Ospreynudge. He's being left behind, and it hurts.

Chasingcreek & Kestrelpaw Something skitters across the leaves- a lizard! Kestrelpaw pounces on it and carries it home proudly!

Foghowl & Blossompaw The patrol comes across a squirrel, engrossed in nibbling an acorn. They narrowly miss it, the squirrel alerted by a bird's alarm call.

Chaffinchflip & Ospreynudge Chaffinchflip notices that Ospreynudge is much quieter than usual. When prompted, she slowly asks if he could teach her more about StarClan. Chaffinchflip tells her about the nature of prophecies, and Ospreynudge listens with wide eyes.

Warriors Ship Hypokits: Adult!FTM!Talonpaw x MTF!Leafpool Edition

In this AU, Squirrelpaw is the one who dies killing Sharptooth instead of Feathertail, and Crowpaw asks to be named Crowtail in her honor instead (because Crowsquirrel doesn't sound right). Talonpaw completely breaks down when his brother Smokepaw plummets to his death. He can't bring himself to keep going and just tells the others to just go on without him. He refuses to move another step and no one really knows what to do- Rowanclaw doesn't want to leave their apprentice, but the mountains are dangerous at night and the clans need to keep moving. ThunderClan's Medicine Cat apprentice Leafpaw solves the problem by just picking him up and slinging him over her shoulder. The two end up traveling like that every day while on the Journey. They both bond over the deaths of the closest cats in their lives, and continue to meet up once the clans all separate in their new territories. Talonpaw also doesn't get killed by Jaques and Susan, another ShadowClan apprentice does. Leafpool and Talonpelt earn their names and soon fall in love with each other. When Talonpelt realizes that he's pregnant and the two panic, breaking off their relationship. Talonpelt later has a litter of three kits, not disclosing the identity of their other parent:

Alderleaf- brown tabby molly with amber eyes. Cis molly, aromantic asexual lesbian. This universe's version of Hollyleaf. Alderleaf is very different from her canon self. She doesn't care too much about the Warrior Code, seeing it as something archaic that needs to have many changes and revisions done to it, although she does respect it to a degree. She also is pretty uninterested in StarClan as well. She often challenges authority out of the desire to improve the world around her and better the lives of other cats. Her power is future sight, and she would be the one with the dreams about The Ancients. She is not too happy about getting a power from StarClan but accepts it with relative grace. She is a Night-Stalker, then Deputy, and then eventually becomes Leader after Rowanstar steps down (replacing Tigerstar 2).

Ravenwing- dark-gray-and-white tom with blind amber eyes. Cis tom, demisexual demiromantic. This universe's version of Jayfeather. Ravenwing is still a snarky, prickly cat who doesn't let others in easily. While he was trained as a warrior apprentice for a time, he suddenly decided to apprentice under Littlecloud as a MedCat alongside Flamepaw. Why? Well, it's because Ravenwing is the one with the cross-clan romance. He became close to the WindClan Medicine apprentice Kestrelpaw after they met and decided to become a MedCat so the two could be together (MedCats can have romantic relationships with each other as long as no kits are involved). It also doesn't hurt that he's actually very good at being a Medicine Cat as well. His power is dreamwalking and sensing the emotions of others. He's uncomfortable with his powers because he is constantly invading the privacy of other cats. As stated above, he is a Medicine Cat.

Panthersmoke- massive dark gray, almost black, tabby tom with amber eyes. Cis tom, heteroflexible polyamorous. This universe's version of Lionblaze. Panthersmoke is mostly the same as canon Lionblaze except he is much more interested in battles and fighting. When he discovers that he is somehow invulnerable to physical wounds he is very happy about it. He ends up training in the Dark Forest much longer than he does in canon due to a combination of general lust for battle and just not being the smartest cat, and is the sibling that gets trapped in the tunnels with Fallen Leaves (maybe he still accidentally kills Russetfur in a fight? because killing a cat in battle is fine but this is a cat in the same clan as him so its bad). He'd come back for the final battle against the DF like Hollyleaf does in canon, but wouldn't die because he is invulnerable. He is a Warden.

Oh its been a minute since i've done any warriors content but i do love Kestrelflight sooo,,,,i shall make an exception~

Kestrelflight uses He/They ~

While i love the headcanon that Kestrelflight is Harespring(Bounce?? I never know which one it is) and Heathertail's brother, he gives off the most "Only child" vibes i've ever felt on a warriors character.

Which is also why I headcanon Kestrel as really wanting to befriend or at least be on decent terms with the other medicine cats. As an apprentice they really idolized what little of the relationship (Platonic or Romantic or Both) between Mothwing and Leafpool he could see during half moon gatherings. He tried with Jayfeather but we all know how that went...(Seriously Jay just hates kestrelflight for NO reason, like dude c'mon) He just wants to friends with his,,,co-workers? But feels like they might view him as childish or not as experienced as the rest of them due to...

Kestrelpaw had a pretty,,,,unorthodox apprenticeship with Barkface, due to the fact that his mentor was the oldest in the clans and was likely to kick the bucket at any moment, Kestrelpaw had the shortest apprenticeship of all of the PO3 medicine cat apprentices. Barkface was a very kind mentor to them but while he was making sure Kestrelpaw Understood everything he rarely gave them anytime to really explore any of the nuances of his role. By the time he was given his full name Kestrelflight understood the broad strokes of his position and barely anything else before Barkface passed away.

Barkface was also rather protective of his apprentice as well. A few of the other medicine cats protested his choice AND his decision to speed run their training but Barkface argued it was for the best. He wasn't going to leave Kestrelpaw wanting for information or lacking the skill/ability to do his best. (Which Kestrel adopts when he gets his own apprentice, although there's thankfully no rush for Whistlepaw.)

Kestrelflight is a restless task do-er. No matter what they're doing they also have to be preforming 2-3 other tasks at them same time. If not, and it isn't and injured or sick clanmate, he's getting up and pacing around his den every other minute. He's got too much energy and not a lot of places to put it most of the time so it's not uncommon to see him making laps around the camp or deciding his stores need rearranging suddenly.

Antpelt's death was the biggest blow to Kestrel's confidence and belief in himself. He had no idea what went wrong or how he could've saved Antpelt, even now that he knows why he can't help but blame himself a little bit. I feel like this would be partially why he didn't take an apprentice for so long.

As Goatpaw touches noses with Cloveflower, they hope they'll get to do something that will really impress the Clan on their first day. Maybe they could catch a big, fat rabbit? Or chase off a fox! That'll show the Clan they're the best apprentice anyone's ever seen!

Blotchkit runs up to the front of the crowd, eager to get their new name. When they're called Blotchpaw for the first time, Wisteriaflare and Scorchbud's voices can be heard the loudest as the Clan welcomes the new apprentice under Cinnamonbreeze

This passage presents two timeline oddities:

1) It’s still Kestrelpaw not yet Kestrelflight. The Sight gave me the impression that Kestrelflight was like a moon or two older than Jay, Holly, and Lion if only because when Barkface mentioned him being back in camp sick at Jay’s first half-moon meeting (which is implied to be the first to happen since the littermates got apprenticed) it sounded like the others had already had some acquaintance with him. I guess it could just be that Jayfeather “skipped a grade”/Kestrelpaw was “held back a grade” so to speak, Jay was afterall noted to have been a particularly gifted learner but still.

2) Flamepaw makes it sound like the whole faking a sign thing never happened. Moreover he makes it sound like it was so long ago there was a possibility Jayfeather would forget. I continue my theory than in a first draft, Flame, Dawn, and Tiger were meant to be kits not apprentices when coming to ThunderClan. Timeline wise it’d make more sense since if we follow previously established facts, they couldn’t have been older than 3 moons and this is happening about a season after that whole thing.

Longstar AU Three to Tango part 2

Sorry this bit took longer, had some personal issues to deal with, but we’re all good now.  I also realized I added a plot point too early, and removed it.  Alright back to cats!

While out hunting, Cinderpaw falls from a tree, injuring her hind leg.  Lionpaw carries her back to camp, and brings back a strange stick as well, saying he just thought it was neat.  Fireheart is worried that due to her being a reincarnation of a crippled warrior, that she might have similar leg problems.  Lionpaw butts in, saying that she’s not the same cat; even if her spirit resides in Cinderpaw, Cinderpelt is a far different cat.  Darkmoon is touched by this wisdom, but then looks at Lionpaw to see him staring off into space, with the AOL dialup tone playing.  Canon continues until...

Riverclan!  They proclaim their camp is unusable, and Jaypaw sneaks over to see a bunch of twoleg kits running around.  Unfortunately he’s caught, but it’s Uncle Hawkfrost, who just sends him home with a stern warning.  A few nights later, Lionpaw has a strange dream about tunnels, and an orange-and-white tomcat, and a nearly hairless elder.  Canon continues until...

The Windclan kits go missing, and the Three join Breezepaw and Heatherpaw to look for them.  They find the kits in the tunnels, but the water begins to rise.  Lionpaw, remembering his dream, tosses the kits on his back and leads everyone to safety.  Canon continues until...

The Tribe!  It goes mostly as canon, but with the Three bonding with their father, trying to get him to bond with  Breezepaw somewhat successfully, and immediately adopting Purdy as their “Gramps”.  Crowfeather, Tawnypelt, Foxflight, and Stormfur rekindle their friendship, with Tawnypelt apologizing to Foxflight about Brambleclaw, and all four reuniting with Feathertail.  While watching battle training, Lionpaw asks Feathertail what works best for her back, determined to gather new knowledge for any future injuries.  Canon continues until...

After the fight with the intruding cats ends, Hollypaw is covered in blood and little cuts, but shows her brothers a brand new scar on her belly that should have been a fatal wound, but instead healed up.  Lionpaw tells her that he can tell it doesn’t hurt because he would feel it.  Hollypaw says what?  Lionpaw says what?  Jaypaw, remembering the dream-sharing he did with Lionpaw that one time, decides Starclan is involved and didn’t tell them.  Starclan you beTTER EXPLAIN SO HELP ME I’LL GET GRAN-GRAN INVOLVED!!!!

Gran-gran Yellowfang yeets down from Starclan to kiss and holler at all her descendants, and gives them the Prophecy, explaining that their parents didn’t tell them because they were unsure who it involved, and she refuses to keep it a secret anymore, citing that the last time she kept a secret Brokenstar happened, giving a short explanation.  The Three agree to not be mad at their family, because that makes sense.

Storm and Brook decide to stay with the Tribe, and after a tearful farewell, the Clan Cats leave.  When Hollypaw gets back to camp, she has another dream about Tigerstar and Brambleclaw, now insisting they can train her to be the best warrior ever.  When she wakes up, she grabs her siblings, parents (Crowfeather and Swiftpool are having a sleepover), aunt and uncles, and her grandparents and great-uncle and the beans get spilled about the Prophecy and the Creepy Cat Dreams.  Everyone panics!  But they unpanic when Sandstorm, who was woken by the ruckus, points out that maybe the panic was the point?  Maybe if we stay calm and ignore them, they’ll either stop or make a move.  Everyone agrees, but this plants the seeds of doubt and anxiety in Hollypaw.  Did they pick her because she’s weak?  Canon continues until...

Windclan and Thunderclan both start finding each other’s prey on their land.  Mudstar and Longstar both agree someone is trying to start a fight, which happens when some younger warriors from both sides start a tussle.  Mudstar says until they figure out who’s doing this the clans should stay apart.  This leads to Swiftpool and Crowfeather being separated for a time.  A little while later, Berrynose, one of the troublemakers, says he saw a lion walking around camp, no it wasn’t Lionpaw I swear!  A little later, Fireheart, Darkmoon, and Lionpaw are gathering herbs, and discussing when Fireheart should retire, when Sol strolls up, say oop sun’s gonna go out, and yoinks out of ther before Darkmoon can grab him.  Canon continues until...

The free for all, triggered by some idiot in Windclan, starts, and the Eclipse happens.  Everyone except for Jaypaw and Longstar panics, and Sol strolls off to Shadowclan, with a ghostly Yellowfang throwing cat-cuss words at his back.  He still convinces Blackstar to forsake Starclan.

Back at Thunderclan, Hollypaw, Jaypaw, and Cinderpaw are promoted to Hollywish (for her great-grandmother and grandmother, and her hopes for the future), Jaywhisker (for his alternative senses and long whiskers), and Cinderheart.  The clan cheers them on, with Swiftpool at the front, and Lionpaw at her side, comforting her because his father can’t be there.  Flyshadow cheers from the nursery because she’s pregnant!! The Three sneak onto Shadowclan territory, and see poor Littlecloud get grounded by Blackstar.  On their way back, Tawnypelt catches up to them, with her kits Emberpaw (Flamepaw), Goldenpaw (Tigerpaw), and Dawnpaw in tow.  They want no part of a Starless Clan.  Longstar welcomes them to Thunderclan as long as they need shelter.  Canon continues until...

Millie and her daughter Briarkit become ill, and the illness begins to spread.  Lionpaw has a visit from Raggedstar and Runningnose, and grabs his siblings and the Shadowclan apprentices, hoping a plan can be hatched.  Jaywhisker and Flamepaw come up with the tree plan, and are as surprised as everyone else when actual Starclan ghosts show up to holler at the Shadowclan cats.  Blackstar is convinced, and throws Sol out with a Goofy Ya-ha-ha-hooie!  Canon continues until...

Longstar loses a life to the Greencough in camp, and Lionpaw asks Jaywhisker to dreamwalk Kestrelpaw, the Windclan Medicine apprentice, to find out where the catmint is.  After locating it, Lionpaw goes to get it, and is spotted by Breezepaw, who looks a bit happier?  Lionpaw is delighted his half-sib is doing well, and Breeze paw admits that he and Crowfeather hashed things out a bit, then tells Lionpaw to get on and go.  Lionpaw returns to camp with the medicine, and at the next half-moon, is named Lionblossom (for his “blooming spirit” and he gets petals stuck in his fur) by a proud Darkmoon.  When he goes to sleep the next night, he has a dream about tunnels and tribe cats, and a pretty molly named Half-moon.  Canon continues until...

The Fire Scene!!!  Foxflight gets stuck on the other side of a flaming wall with her niece and nephews, and makes a daring leap to grab a branch.  As she maneuvers it across the fire, a shadowy figure approaches.  In a flash, a dirty grey tabby leaps on the branch, blocking her way back!! Oh whatever will she do?!? She tackles him, knocking the tom head over tail into the fire, and saves her family.  Lionblossom has to be carried out, as he’s writhing in agony, feeling the pain of burns from the mysterious stranger.  He recovers shortly after, and no body is found in camp.  However, right before the next Gathering, a Thunderclan patrol finds a burnt corpse by the lakeside.  Flamewish, part of the patrol, thinks he looks familiar, but Graystripe is behind her, too horrified to speak.  He manages to sputter out that he recognizes the scarred pelt when Longstar approaches, and immediately identifies him as Darkstripe?!?!?  Wait what!???!!!  That night, Hollywish is visited by her Least Favorite Ghosts, but behind them is a smoky tom, both in pelt and in stench, and her doubt increases...Canon continues until...

Bluestar yells at Yellowfang for telling her descendants the prophecy.  It was supposed to be a secret, yells Bluestar.  Well so was Brokenstar and look where that got us, Yellowfang hollers back.  The two glare at each other for a while until Runningnose and Redtail break them up.

Back at Thunderclan camp, the cats are discussing how Darkstripe survived his throat being shredded, when the newly promoted Breezepelt and Heathertail enter camp.  They spotted Sol on Windclan land carrying a Thunderclan bird, and watched him plant it on Windclan territory, explaining the prey problem.  Longstar sends a patrol out to look for him, and the bring him and this other hanger-on that refused to leave him.  The Three grab their Gramps Purdy and escort him to the elder’s den, are you comfy Gramps, oh here let me introduce you to Mousefur.  Canon continues until...

Briarkit is attacked by the snake.  Honeyfern leaps in the way, getting struck in the eye, and Lionblossom makes the painful split-second decision to to an eye-ectomy on the spot.  Luckily, Fireheart heard the screaming and was rushing over to help, and finds both Honeyfern and Lionblossom on the ground writhing in pain.  Honeyfern is rushed to the Medicine Den, where she makes a miracle recovery - her eye and the hearing in that ear, and her ability to have kits are gone, and she’ll most likely be wobbly for life.  Honeyfern and Berrynose mourn their lack of future kits, but Poppyfrost insists she’ll carry kits for them, and the three can raise them together.  In the forest nearby, a seething ghostly Mapleshade confronts a shimmering Frecklewish, but both stalk off without a fight.  At some point around here, Coldlight confesses his feelings to Sandstorm, who tells him she needs to think about her feelings.  He respects her wishes because he’s sensible, and needs to emotionally recover from his love confession, because Coldlight’s drained by feelings. At next Gathering, Mudstar and Blackstar both want a piece of Sol.  Longstar counters that holding him prisoner keeps him from doing more harm, and Mudstar agrees, ending the cross-clan conflict - Crowfeather promises his kits he’ll visit shortly.  Back at Thunderclan later, Hollywish thinks she’s talking to her father and confesses her fears and anxieties.  The shadowy cat tells her of course she’s evil, and no one actually loves you.  A teary Hollywish rushes off, past her brothers, and into the tunnels, and they collapse behind her.  Crowfeather pins Sol to the ground, and he laughs evily.

Meanwhile, Whitewing’s kits and Flyshadow’s kit sleep peacefully.

Moon 218-Newleaf

It’s nice for the Clan to have so many young cats running around.  Hopepaw (7) is hard at work training herself to become a mediator and Wildcave (101) has to remind her to grab something from the fresh-kill pile.  Creekstar (72), being pregnant, is getting cravings.  She thinks the marmot Hopepaw eventually chooses looks delicious.  Having shared the nursery with Primcrest (60), Smokepaw (7) is making sure that the deputy knows she appreciates her.  Kestrelpaw (7) is a little bit shy, but Primcrest admires how brave she is even if she would rather be alone.  Charipeak (84) is so proud of her kits and wants to explore the whole territory with Hopepaw.  Tumblepaw (7) has been having some weird dreams lately, filled with shadows and screams.  She explains this to her mom, but she doesn’t know how to help her.  Safariaster (125) and Queenyspeckle (94) are less thrilled by the influx of young cats.  Both of them think that Jumblepaw is a little weird and wishes that she would act more normal.  Queenyspeckle has also translated his grudge from the leader’s daughter onto the leader’s apprentice and glares at Tumblepaw from across the clearing.  Dawnkit (2) has decided to be annoyingly curious and is asking his mother where kits come from.  Awkward.  Flowerkit (2) overhears Vaxxstreak complaining about her behind her back and asks her mother what it was about.  It was about her being dark-cursed, and Primcrest does her best to explain it to her daughter, although it’s challenging.  Having dark-cursed cats around makes Vaxxstreak anxious and he tries to breathe deeply to no avail.  Chiku (152) is trying to help by telling stories about Yuccawillow.  It is not helpful and just ends up scaring Dawnkit.  He runs away and tries to hide from other cats with little gusts of wind swirling in his fur. He thinks that the ex-leader is going to come kill him.

A follow up question about the seer au. With Cinderpelt being in Shadowclan and living past her death date in this au, does Cinderkit number 2 not exist? Or is she a different soul not connect to Cinderpelt just living her best life?

cinderkit no. 2 does exist, but she has her own soul.

oots is honestly really weird and vague about this to begin with, but she doesn't strike me as a "true" reincarnation, so much as a second soul crammed into a body.

i haven't decided if she keeps her name yet. i have to decide...soon? i have to decide soon and i am very very very unsure what i want to do.

sigh.

anyway, yeah, the places where seers die is really weird. i have No Idea when yellowstorm dies because i knew she died in mothwing's piece and i knew mothwing wasn't super torn up about it. like she was sad but she also lowkey had Bigger Problems. and yellowstorm and mothwing weren't super close, the way cinderpelt & runningcloud and spottedleaf & mudfur were.

plus like. it just wasn't relevant to the plot.

anyway.

spottedleaf and cinderpelt are still alive and runningcloud and barkface are dead, which is...very funny to me. jayfeather's piece will cover what's going on with all the po3 apprentices (willowpaw, flamepaw, and kestrelpaw), so there will be some amount of follow-up on that.

anyway yeah, cinderkit 2.0 is born, but she's her own cat to begin with. i'm not 100% decided about it, yet, but i'm p sure her plot stays the same as canon. the only thing i know for sure about po3 that i can share is that hollyleaf and lionblaze keep their names (because i didn't want to give myself a headache keeping ashes names and seer au names straight, since i literally write the chapters for each back to back every week), and jayfeather isn't there for the fire scene.
