His design is still pretty similar but I think the small changes are still a major improvement. Instead of a flock of butterfly, he now only has 2 named Destiny and Karma (will eventually become important for the plot).

Looking at everyone's coat colors, do you use the full genetics mod? If so that's so cool!! I haven't seen anyone make a clangen blog with one yet that I know of..

i do use the full genetics mod! it's my favorite mod as a cat genetics nerd. i love this mod because it also gives cat heights and body types. for example, cats like heatherstar and falconshine are "intermediate" body type, which is like a normal cat. sootface, cinderbone, and flametail are oriental cats, and briarfeather and eggdust are cobby cats! though you can't really tell by looking at their sprites. i think it's a fun way to make them all super unique when drawing them!

EDIT: oops, spoiler for hopepaw's warrior name. i'm working on the update right now LOL

Myrtlewing! BottlebrushClan's founding deputy and Hopepaw and Lizardstar's adoptive father, charismatic like his daughter but on the more mellow side due to age. He's constantly checking in on his Clanmates and making sure everyone's included, even if he tends to be a bit condescending at times.

sadly i had to cut a fight between hopepaw and elderpaw from this moon, so imagine i drew them fighting about how hopepaw keeps getting in border skirmishes... anyway. LOTS of mixed feelings about this one. havenpool has been here from almost the beginning, it feels like, so him dying was a huge shock, but nonbinary hatchfeather and sherman coming back made me decide against savescumming. i'll miss him, though. :(

Moon 222-Leaf-fall

So much for Tumblepaw (11) being proud she was the leader’s apprentice.  With Primcrest’s  (64) dark-cursed kits now being apprentices, Creekstar (76) felt like she needed to mentor one herself.  So Tumblepaw is now Charipeak’s (88) apprentice while Creekstar mentors Dawnpaw (6).  Primcrest  is mentoring Flowerpaw (6). Primcrest is excited to teach her kit how to control her powers and is already giving advice to her.  With the other dark-cursed kits being apprentices, Echokit (3) is feeling a little alone.  And embarrassed.  Amberwhisker (81) told a story about when he accidentally drained a moth that he had asked the warrior not to share. Goldenkit (3) goes up to Vaxxstreak (108) and asks if he has time to play with him.  Vaxxstreak decides to team up with Wildcave (105) and play with their kits.   In the evening, they pretend to be enemy warriors that their kits get to fight.  Afterwards, Wildcave carries a sleeping Echokit back to the nursery.  The lull in their energy doesn’t last long and the kits have decided that they’re obsessed with Hopepaw (11).  They bug her constantly and find her awkward answers about where kits come from to be hilarious.  The kits are also fascinated by Smokepaw’s way of communicating and so she teaches them some tail signals. Tumblepaw is still having nightmares.  Charipeak does her best to comfort her daughter, which at least makes Tumblepaw’s ears stop drooping.
