From a historical standpoint, i appreciate the political episodes of south park, as well as the more controversial. From a 2023 retrospective and understanding, some things like the "butt out" episode really didn't age well. From a casual viewing perspective, some of these episodes are really annoying and I'd rather see the boys get up to random shenanigans. Like idk. I know this show does get more political as the show goes on, but uh... I think i prefer the episodes that aren't like that. I also feel like the boys are starting to turn into mouthpieces for the writers opinions a little too much. I guess I'll just be someone who prefers early south park

When is the joint ET interview scheduled to come out? I think when it’ll air would impact how people are feeling. Like if it’s directly after the finale that might make me a little more anxious, versus after the next ep which would seem kinda routine because they have post-ep stuff all the time

The only thing that makes me nervous about the two interviews is how random they seem when looking at them sorta from the outside.

Like why do we not have Kenny getting an interview after he killed it (the acting, not Bobby) for three episodes straight!!? Why isn’t he on ET? (Rhetorical question). Having OS and RG on there now just makes me a teensy bit nervous because the timing seems suspicious. If the show was doing PR clean-up for Bobby, I don’t know if they’d lean heavily into the buddie angle because the GA (Entertainment Tonight watchers not Buzzfeed who are younger and more socially online) wouldn’t expect them to. The thirst tweet interview doesn’t faze me, because it seems like ABC realizes they have a good pair they can use for marketing and this type of stuff used to be way more common a decade ago. It’s just the fact that there’s two things now, you know? Right at a time when I wouldn’t be shocked at all if Tim decided he wants to keep making shocking choices.

I’m still a believer in BuckTommy resolution because it would make no sense to include Tommy again when he had so many opportunities for the show to say “that’s it.” And it just makes the most sense for the story to have them back together. But idk I think I got some of the anxiety vibes floating around. I think after Thursday we’ll have a much better idea where the season is going to end which will hopefully help disperse fears (I hope!!!!!)

Please keep in mind that this ET segment 'Spilling the ETea', as far as I'm aware, doesn't air on television. It's an online segment. So, it IS very much for the chronically online.

I don't know when it'll come out but online segments obviously don't need as much time as segments that air on television. I'd assume we're getting one this week.

The thing is, the clean-up is for the fandom. They're the only ones actually making noise and pestering the cast and crew. So, yes, they 100% will fall back on buddie to get them to shut up. It's literally what PR does. I'm sure ABC had this shit planned as soon as the gave the okay to kill off Bobby. The 911twt fandom has a reputation and by now, it's child's play at what will appease them.

I think it's incredibly funny how easy it is to figure out who it is you kin/like the most in this fandom. Heck, it is possible to tell in 5 seconds flat by the way they draw cartman whether they're his number 1 fan or want him dead for all of his crimes against humanity. I feel like when people get strongly attached to a character they start seeing other characters through their fave's lens. For examole, Kyle's fans are more vigilant in making sure Cartman stays accountable for his bigotry, while Stan's and Kenny's fans might focus more on his whole assholery. At the same time, Cartman's fans make a point in reminding everyone what a douche Kyle can be. (while cartman's fans do accept the fact that their fave is. Well. Cartman. They also very much don't like the angle of him being irredeemable -- and by arguing that hey it's not all bad they uh. Do tend to sound dismissive of some of his actions. And so you get a lot of internet arguments but what else is new) Stan's fans I feel like while they might not have a certain opinion of other characters, their artstyle is very. Stan. Idk. I swear to god here's an artsyle or a whole vibe that is very common for Stan's fans for some reason. It's very cool, too. Kenny's fans are very cool and I think they focus on characters outside of Main Five more often than others. They tend to simplify some characters for bigger narratives, but i say that as a cartman fan so i am indeed bias. The only group of people I can't comprehend are Butters' fans bc they seem to differ greatly. Or maybe I just haven't met enough. They seem to like Bunny though. Very sweet art, too.

Dub writing was also the best hands down

Sun & Moon (S20-S22)

Honestly tied for first with OS for me

REALLY fun ensemble cast! They do a fantastic job giving each character enough time for you to get to know and care about

Excellent modern anime style that perfectly fit the vibe of the season and allowed for some of the best character animation of the show's run

Finally figured out how to write Ash like a 10 year old again (but in a kind/sweet 10 year old way as opposed to OS)

Very different from previous series in terms of the formula they'd follow. Doing a school series instead of another "8 badges to championship" plot felt new and fresh!

This series genuinely made me cry the most (MEMORIES IN THE MIST!!!!! LIKE ARE YOU KIDDING ME)

Chronicles (S0)

Fun concept! It was really nice to see more of the side characters without Ash there. We get to see more of Misty, Tracey, Daisy, Brock, Ritchie, Oak, Delia, Butch, Cassidy, Jessie, James and Meowth!

Stylistically really nice. Just solid drawings all around and it retained the 90s anime style in digital form more successfully than other digitally done series imo

BUTCH AND CASSIDY!!! Team Rocket centric episodes!!! Training Daze!!!!!!!

Idk how possible it would have been (seems like a TON of work) but it made me want one of these in between each season, where we'd follow the characters that Ash had just said goodbye to for the next region.

Diamond and Pearl (S10-S13)

Series I grew up with! Honestly I was kinda a hater as a kid but having watched it back, I love the series

Love that Ash and Dawn were bros. They had a really fun dynamic.

Debatably peak Team Rocket. They had some of the best Team Rocket centric episodes this series.

Contests were really fun and a bit more figured out compared to the Advanced series

Fun, memorable rivals for Ash (Paul and Barry) as well as Dawn (Zoey, Kenny and Jessilina sometimes)

This is unfortunately where I stopped caring about Ash as much. He feels kinda watered down for the next couple series.

Advanced (S6-S9)

Pretty tied up with DP for me

Really fun series! Still had some of that early Pokémon charm

I appreciated that they put Ash in more of a mentor role for May (but he still had a lot to learn himself).

Ash and May constantly butting heads was really fun

May was a very compelling character to me, being very clumsy, kinda lazy, directionless, not really into Pokémon, etc. But then over time, she comes around and finds something she's interested in!

Journeys (S23-S25)

I love the episodic take as well as the way they let the characters jump around from region to region at random

Goh was a GREAT travel companion to Ash. They contrast each other nicely, have moments where they get on each others' nerves but still get along and have a mutual admiration for one another.

It was fun that they made Goh's thing catching every Pokémon (the motto of the entire series) so they could focus on Ash just training and prepping for Worlds.

Amaaaazing style. Took the great parts of classic Pokémon, roundness of SM and blended em together for a really fun look.

Black & White (S14-S16)

I don't think it's that controversial to have BW this low haha

I did enjoy Iris and Cilan but it felt like the writers didn't reaaally know what to do with them? Also this was their first time in a while not having Brock and it shows. I feel like Brock was successful because he was grounded and lower energy compared to the rest of the kids. Having 3 pretty eccentric characters is kind of a lot. No hate to the characters in the slightest, there was just not as much balance.

I think maybe they leaned on Cilan and Iris for more comedic relief because they killed the comedic relief that was Team Rocket this series. I appreciate them trying something new with Jessie, James and Meowth but I don't think it worked very well lol

XY (S17-S19)

I've ranted about this series a lot LOL. I get the appeal of it, but it just wasn't for me. I felt like it was the weakest comedy-wise and took itself a bit too seriously for my taste

My main gripe is that Serena, Clemont and Bonnie all like,,, worship Ash. By doing so, Ash begins to feel like a side character because we're constantly looking at Ash through their eyes. There's so little conflict within the group so their dynamics feel really flat. I think this dynamic could have worked if they leaned waaay more into Ash being a mentor and maybe feeling the pressure of having to be a role model for the people around him.

Team Rocket very much feels like an afterthought in this series. They did in Journeys as well, but at least in Journeys they were doing something silly and also had a handful of episodes dedicated to em.

Outside of that, the episodes weren't super memorable for me

I think it's just frustrating because there was sooooo much potential character-wise

2) idk if I've asked this before but about Vi's parents, do you think her parents were abusive (in canon or AUs) ? In a lot of stories, ppl mainly pin it on her dad with his being physical abuse while her mom is it's mainly verbal or psychological abuse.

3) If/when you make AUs or headcanons, what is Lee's romantic situation? Is he single and focused on his kids? Or is he with Carley or Kenny?

for louis and violet i find their hairstyles to be so iconic to them and their Vibes that i always struggle to change them. it took a while for me to land on something i felt happy with for their +10 looks. its why i just throw the beanie on modern vi. for louis i also like twists but always find myself going back to his locs. theyre both just designed so strongly 😭 their genders !!! clem tho i like to have fun with :) ive drawn her in more hairstyles that ive just never posted. this look was actually for the messy modern au wilderness walk with vi lol

for violets parents i just keep them as i imagine they were in game. we know her dad was a drunk and her mom worked 3 jobs to make ends meet, and that she shipped vi off to ericson because she just did not have the time to deal with All Of That. if her dad wasnt violent i do think he was at the very least a massive asshole who let his wife work 3 jobs while he drank all their money away. i can definitely see vi wanting to avoid him regardless, im sure she hated him. for her mom i assume she was more absent than abusive. and probably permissive with her shitty husband. her relationship with her mom was probably very distant. even if she wanted better for vi there was only so much she could do in that situation. for whatever reason she never took vi and left (probably the christianity 💀). i think her home life was just a very sad situation all around. absent/neglectful parents and a grandma who brutally killed herself in front of her and left to figure it out on her own 😔 oh vi,,

and as for lee i usually have him single. maybe dating carley. but not married. usually im just thinking of him post-divorce and trying to get back on his feet, focusing on being the dad he wanted to be

Well, Eldritch Kenny exists in what I guess I consider a “bubble” universe—I wouldn’t have him interact with OCs from my other universes (and very hesitant to do so with other peoples’ OCs, because idk…it’s not really a universe where I feel comfortable with people interacting in that way yet). I don’t want to spoil too much, but I guess he can be thought of as like a sentient virus—spreading his evil and corrupting the world he’s been summoned into however he sees fit. Gotham Kenny doesn’t really want to kill/corrupt humans, he deeply cares about the world and wants to see it protected/healed, and he uses humans as a means to get that done.

he’d trust you more than himself, so there would be no problem in asking him to do something. straight on it, anything and everything you need.

man he’d be so scared of staying home alone with the lil baby, and if he did, first thing he’d be doing is ringing his mom. she’d sit there on the other side of the phone chuckling and giggling away while trying to guide AJ through his first independent diaper change. and just generally he’d memorize or maybe even write down some of the tips Mrs.Shabeel would give him.

at night you’d both have to get up and calm down the baby. even though Aj would really want you to get the rest, Aj junior just wouldn’t be having it with just his dad trying to rock him back to sleep. it would sometimes get him a little sad, like why wouldn’t he be able to calm the baby by himself? but luckily that worry wouldn’t last long because as soon as the lil bro gets a little stronger he’d be vibing w dad.

after somewhat getting the hang of this whole parent situation, it would actually be fun with AJ around.

your camera roll would fill up with videos of AJ doing something stupid and making AJ junior laugh, and it would just be the cutest thing ever. like imagine him getting a small cute baby-chuckle out and just rolling around the floor after repeating “did you hear him? DID YOU HEAR HIM?”

soon AJ would excitedly want his friends to meet the kid and it would even turn into a whole Saturday ritual when he’d let you go off with your friends to the spa or get your nails done, while he and, most of the time, Kenny and Niko introduced AJ junior to football, video-games and whatever else they usually did.

sometimes they’d all get too crazy and Chunkz would have to step in and be the responsible one with things like “ayo calm down he ain’t gon be able to nap after that” , “did ya’ll feed the baby?” (yes everyone would refer to the lil guy as The Baby ahahah)

AJ would definitely be the type of dad to turn diaper changes into a competition. and he’d win cause he’d be so good at it. (why else would his mum give him all the A+ tips?)

as stressful as some nights would be, some would turn out to be incredibly peaceful and wholesome. you three on the bed, AJ junior between the two of you, facing eachother while holding hands in your sleep. Guarding the lil baby and at the same time enjoying each others embrace (so cute)

sometimes you might feel like AJ isn’t being sensible and you’d have some conflict saying “AJ you need to grow up and be more responsible.” To which he’d feel a little hurt and he’d turn gloomy. Later you’d feel guilty for saying it so you’d apologize and he’d be like “No you’re right I am childish.” “You’re not childish, AJ. Innocence and imagination is better than sin and genuine.” “Did you read that somewhere?” “…maybe?”
