After giving the place a makeover, Khalil and Evie fell into a routine of doing course work and switching up on baby duties. It was during this time, that Khalil changed his mind about children and decided he was ready for a planned kid. This time he was delighted by the big news.

Cairo aged into a toddler and miraculously, despite living with someone with the terrible twos, Khalil managed to end the second semester with an A-, earning his Computer Science degree.

Evie and his parents were so proud of him. Sadly, Cairo didn’t get a chance to take a graduation selfie with his moms because Evie went into labor and they had to rush to the hospital.

Blinken alucina que EEUU debe preservar su liderazgo desde una posición de fuerza. ¿Cuál fuerza? ¿Dónde queda entonces la insuperable diplomacia que debería practicar frente a Rusia y China?

Mientras se escenifica la definitoria batalla global entre la “divisa hard” y las míticas “divisas fiat (cuyo significado perentorio es ‘así sea’)”, el mandatario de Norcorea, Kim Jong-un, visitó a su homólogo ruso durante el foro poco publicitado de la Unión Económica Euroasiática, en Vladivostok, lo cual provocó trepidaciones mentales en los multimedia globalistas anglosajones.

Thirty-five years waited for such a lovely moment. 13,112 days in total waiting for that instant. A full life dreaming of the minute when he would hold his child for the first time, his offspring; to feel the fragile body in his arms and perceive the soft infantile perfume.

It seemed like a joke, but he swore to God and all the holy gospels that he felt a deep love for that little person who barely opened his eyes to the world; the one who cried to express her needs and couldn't hold her head. Haha Sound - Broadcast

La primera vez que escuché Broadcast fue en el 2015 entre una tusa tormentosa y un rebound. El protagonista del rebound era alguien algo atormentado igualmente y era (es) todo un gurú de la música/movida “alternativa” (creo que es la única vez en mi vida que fumé y fumaré tanto y tan seguido) y en ese entonces yo estaba en mi peak melómano, por lo tanto, admiraba en este sujeto su gran capital cultural. Él ocasionalmente me enviaba canciones de manera incómoda y torpe y así fui introducida a la voz de Trish Kennan. En su momento pasó de largo y fue una canción random más recomendada por él, tal vez porque las decisiones de este sujeto me incomodaban y relacionarlo a él me daba como piquiña y por eso prefería ignorar sus hazañas de conquista.

Aunque muchas recomendaciones de él cayeron en el olvido por el poco interés romántico, en medio del tormentoso año 2017, año de la Gran Depresión por terminar la universidad, pude recordar en algún rato de random aburrimiento musical que ya había escuchado en alguna parte Come on let’s go, que de la nada escuché de nuevo y que logró impactarme tanto. Se me despertó la nostalgia de ser un poco más joven, de pensar qué sería de él, de qué iba a ser de mi en el futuro, de pensar porqué antes ésta canción me importó tan poquito y ahora porqué me importaba tanto, “¿es broadcast música para los veinte-casi-treinta?”, pensé, ya que ahora yo tenía la edad que él tenía cuando me lo recomendó. El caso es que después de redescubrirlos, simplemente no pude dejar de escuchar la discografía de Broadcast y de escuchar a Trish y de mitificar, junto a desconocidos en internet, su muerte a través de su voz y su música.

Al día de hoy para mi el álbum más importante es Haha Sound, aunque cada uno va en rotación en cada temporada de mi juventud que cada vez es menos juventud. Aunque toda la discografía de Broadcast es especialmente atmosférica y puedo conectar con cada álbum de maneras diferentes, creo que este es el más cohesivo en su espíritu de mirar al pasado, al presente y al futuro y de dejarse llevar por las llamadas del destino.

Colour me in, la primera canción del disco, introduce perfectamente estos espacios de incertidumbre, something new and nothing to do then i’m just the idea, I must be real cause somehow i feel that i’m just the idea. La incertidumbre viene desde la percepción de un individuo, como en el sentido de “nacemos solos, vivimos solos, morimos solos”. El álbum habla de un momento reflexivo y autoperceptivo de una determinada posición en el mundo. Here again at the end before the beginning. so the salt will spill again, throw it over your shoulder, oh it is in tomorrow, fortune or sorrow? Wait, you may win. I don’t mean to show that I know how this goes, before we begin again. No quisiera llenar esta reseña de pedazos de canciones pero son muy importantes en la narrativa que quiero construir sobre la noción de presente/pasado/futuro que veo en este disco. Here in this room no more a tomb, thoughts of you conclude without ending. the lonely distance and time, the only tears falling outside, i will not lament with the sky, no longer feel night on the inside.

Este álbum es casi una afrenta al destino, a pensar en el aquí y el ahora, en los ciclos, en el principio y el fin, y llegó a mi en el justo momento que estaba empezando a perder todo el piso que tuve en mi vida y empecé a ir lentamente a la nada. Es casi un llamado a la razón y a la calma, a dejarse llevar, a no esperar nada cuando se está perdiendo todo, es la idea de crecer y dejar ir.

LA OPERACIÓN DE "REMUNERACIÓN"

Mayo de 2020, a juzgar por las declaraciones de altos funcionarios estadounidenses y las acciones en los últimos días de abril, estará marcado por la creciente sinofobia en los Estados Unidos y el desarrollo de medidas especiales contra China.

 En la última semana de abril, tuvieron lugar tanto la escalada retórica como el despliegue de fuerza.

 El 27 de abril, el presidente de los Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, dijo que "estamos llevando a cabo investigaciones muy serias. Y no estamos contentos con China. No estamos contentos con toda esta situación, porque creemos que podría detenerse inicialmente, detenerse rápidamente y no se habría extendido por todo el mundo..." (1). Y a la pregunta del periodista sobre si Estados Unidos hará lo mismo que Alemania, al demandar a China por 130 mil millones de euros por el daño causado por el coronavirus, Trump dijo que "tenemos formas de hacer las cosas mucho más fáciles que eso... y estamos hablando de una suma mucho mayor que la de Alemania".

 Aunque no se recibió tal ultimátum del gobierno alemán, y la versión liberal de Bild lanzó la versión de la compensación, varios medios comenzaron a interpretar las palabras de Trump sobre las medidas contra China (2). Pero dentro de los Estados Unidos, comenzaron a hablar sobre la necesidad de multar a China en marzo (3). Las especulaciones sobre lo que hará Estados Unidos han ido tan lejos como para discutir incluso la posibilidad de cancelar la deuda de Estados Unidos con China, que supera los billones de dólares (4). Y en algunos estados de EE. UU., ya se han presentado demandas colectivas.

 China también apareció en el comunicado de prensa del 29 de abril del Secretario de Estado Mike Pompeo cuando declaró que "China y Rusia estaban vendiendo armas a Irán e Irán, a su vez, está llevando a cabo campañas terroristas con la ayuda de Hezbolá y las milicias chiítas en Irak" (5). En respuesta a una pregunta sobre la financiación de China para la OMS, Pompeo señaló que el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de la República Popular China, así como varios medios de comunicación chinos, están difundiendo información errónea sobre el coronavirus, y enfatizó que "esta no es la primera vez que un virus proviene de China".

Paralelamente a los ataques verbales, el Pentágono envió buques de guerra al Mar del Sur de China (6). En este caso, Estados Unidos se adhiere al mito de "garantizar la navegación libre". El 28 de abril, el destructor de misiles USS Barry se acercó a las Islas Paracelso, que en china son conocidas como Xisha Qundao. Al día siguiente, el crucero de misiles USS Bunker Hill se dirigió a las Islas Spratly (Nansha) (7).

 China se limitó a una advertencia y pidió al ejército estadounidense que abandone la región.

El mito del coronavirus nacido en China es muy adecuado para justificar una nueva presión sobre China. Washington quiere obligar a Beijing a jugar según sus reglas. Y se refieren no solo a estos dos países, sino a la distribución del poder en todo el planeta.

 Los pensamientos del general de las Fuerzas Terrestres Herbert Macmaster, quien fue asesor de seguridad nacional de Donald Trump en 2017-2018, parecen bastante sintomáticos. En una edición de mayo de The Atlantic, publicó un artículo sobre políticas para contener a China (8). Es poco probable que la publicación de este material coincida accidentalmente con la escalada actual.

 En el artículo, Macmaster señala que China tiene una visión especial del mundo y la historia. La publicación comienza en un tono bastante ingenuo. McMaster escribe que "China se ha convertido en una amenaza porque sus líderes están promoviendo un modelo cerrado y autoritario como una alternativa al gobierno democrático y una economía de libre mercado. El Partido Comunista Chino no solo fortalece un sistema interno que sofoca la libertad humana y expande su control autoritario; también exporta este modelo y lidera el desarrollo de nuevas reglas y un nuevo orden internacional que haría al mundo menos libre y menos seguro. Los esfuerzos de China para expandir su influencia son evidentes en la militarización de las islas artificiales en el Mar del Sur de China y el despliegue de sus capacidades militares cerca de Taiwán y el Mar del Este de China. Pero la naturaleza compleja de las estrategias militares y económicas del Partido Comunista Chino lo hace especialmente peligroso para Estados Unidos y otras sociedades libres y abiertas".

 También menciona los logros de la dinastía Ming y el establecimiento del poder marítimo de China, cuya flota surcó los océanos más de cien años antes de los descubrimientos de Cristóbal Colón. Por lo tanto, China debe ser percibida como un poderoso imperio. Según McMaster, en este momento, "los líderes de China creen que se les ha abierto una pequeña oportunidad para fortalecer su gobierno y revisar el orden internacional a su favor". Además, "los objetivos del Partido Comunista Chino están dirigidos contra los ideales e intereses estadounidenses".

 Según Macmaster, China está siguiendo una estrategia de cooptación, coerción y ocultamiento. Además, Beijing está promoviendo tres planes interconectados: "Hecho en China 2025", "Iniciativa de la Ruta de la Seda" y "Fusión Civil-Militar". El primero es hacer que China sea totalmente independiente en ciencia y tecnología. El segundo se relaciona con la inversión en la infraestructura de la región del Indo-Pacífico, Eurasia y otras partes del mundo. El tercero representa el plan más totalitario y consiste en crear una red de inteligencia global dedicada al espionaje y los ataques cibernéticos.

 Lo siguiente se refiere a la necesidad de desarrollar una estrategia de respuesta adecuada. Se dice que "cualquier estrategia para reducir la amenaza de las políticas agresivas de China debería basarse en una evaluación realista de cuán fuertemente influyen los Estados Unidos y otras fuerzas externas en la evolución interna de China". La influencia de estas fuerzas externas tiene limitaciones estructurales porque el partido no abandonará la práctica que considere necesaria para mantener el control. Pero tenemos herramientas importantes además del poder militar y la política comercial".

 Se refiere a las herramientas de las ideas liberales, como el libre intercambio de información, la diversidad de la tolerancia en una sociedad abierta, así como a los disidentes chinos que abandonaron el país.

 Además, McMaster pide medidas duras contra cualquier empresa china que de alguna manera esté relacionada con la violación de los derechos humanos en China; defenderse contra la inteligencia china y sus agentes de influencia; involucrar a todos los disidentes chinos y facilitar la salida de un gran número de jóvenes del país para que estén imbuidos de las ideas del liberalismo occidental.

 El conocido autor de una serie de libros sobre geopolítica y fiscal federal Francis Sempa compara la propuesta de McMaster con el "largo telegrama" de George Kennan de 1947 (9), firmado como el Sr. X, donde propuso una gran estrategia para frenar la posible expansión comunista de la URSS, que condujo a la creación de un bloque de la OTAN y otras alianzas militares lideradas por los Estados Unidos.

 Francis Sempa observa un parecido con las propuestas de Kennan para centrarse en las fortalezas de los Estados Unidos, como la libertad de expresión, la libertad de prensa y el estado de derecho, calificándolas de "una ventaja competitiva y un gran motor de innovación y prosperidad".

 Además, Sempa amplía y profundiza la visión de McMaster, señalando que "las tímidas recomendaciones de McMaster no conducirán al colapso gradual ni al debilitamiento del poder comunista de China. Una política de contención dura y vigilante basada en la comprensión de la historia y la geografía china en la región del Indo-Pacífico será más efectiva y estará más en la línea de las tradiciones de la política exterior de Estados Unidos, que reconoce la necesidad de evitar que el poder hostil controle los centros de poder clave en la masa terrestre de Eurasia ".

 Obviamente, EE. UU. ve a la China moderna como un "poder hostil" con sus iniciativas de infraestructura como la "Ruta de la Seda" y la "Ruta Digital de la Seda”, que se dirigen a Eurasia.

 Por lo tanto, en el futuro cercano, debemos esperar la actividad de los Estados Unidos en la promoción de una estrategia anti-china con sus socios tradicionales en la región: Corea del Sur, India y Taiwán, así como los países de la ASEAN y la India. Habrá una mayor atención a los países de Asia Central. He crashed so many of Secretary of State Cyrus Vance’s meetings and motorcades that Vance’s secretary sent a memo: “You may not insert yourself as a passenger in the Secretary’s car unless this office has specifically approved your request to accompany him.” When national security adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski wanted him fired for chatting “warmly” with the Vietnamese ambassador in Laos before Washington restored relations with Hanoi, he lied and said the report of the meeting was just an act of Soviet disinformation. When a mentor, Averell Harriman, died, Holbrooke harangued his widow into letting him give a eulogy; then he shuffled the name cards at a meal after the service so he could “chat up the right dinner guest.” Packer thinks Holbrooke never interested himself in Middle East peace because “it was too easy to piss off American Jewish organizations and hurt himself on his climb.” Holbrooke begged Pakistan’s foreign minister to tell Secretary of State Hillary Clinton what a good job he was doing. “You will have heard that he was a monstrous egotist. It’s true. It’s even worse than you’ve heard,” Packer summarizes. “He lets us ogle ambition in the nude.” [...]  (He strategized so often with his deputy in the nearest men’s room that “the Croatians finally switched off all the lights in the bathroom except one above the urinals, which illuminated a sign that said, ‘Welcome, Mr. Ambassador.’ ”) The result was the Dayton Accords. Holbrooke’s name became a Serbian verb: holbrukciti, “to get your way through brute force.”

I have protected and help people who are in need of my service no matter what they are facing but I feel that I been curse by the devil, Satan is trying to destroy me with Envy, Greed and Anger. The reason behind this is Envy, I was jealous that people who are evil are rich and they have the power, money and most of all a better life. Greed, I was hungry for wealth and power. Anger, I was angry at the world, government and the people who abuse us. Now I became a theif who is steals from the rich and gives it to the poor just like Robin Hood and a killer who kills people who are abusive with power and people who are evil. The people gave me a name “Dark Knight”. A unexpected event happened the Drug Syndicate known as “Karisma” who is Known as Og Evangelista took over the government and the entire city and is out to get me because I stopped his drug operations in Domsa region. While I was in the church cleaning father Kennan called me in his office. When I was there he showed me a box and told me to open it, when I saw what’s inside I was shocked because it’s a sword from the Arthurian Legend but it is not the same as the swords from the Knights of the round table then father Kennan told me that I was the last blood line of King Arthur Pendragon and only a real Pendragon can harness the power of this legendary excaliber. I took the sword and it glowed then I heard a woman’s voice whispered at me and said this is the excaliber of light forge from dragons blood, parts of the sword and Armour of king Arthur, Lancelot and Mordred and lastly the pearl of the Nymps in the sea and it was hand made by Merlyn himself. Father Kennan told me I was the one who will fight Og for he is the Decedent of Gilgamesh. Then Father Kennan told me about a prophecy that the Decedent of Gilgamesh will unleash Hell upon the earth and he will Rule here and only an Arthurian blood can defeat him because of that I confessed to Father that I’m the Dark Knight and his reply was “I know my son even you don’t tell me because you have the blood of an Arthurian”. Father Kennan was not against on my actions now it’s up to me to Save this City. As I am walking in the alley I bump into my girlfriend Jamay in a scared look she told me that their Apartment has been burned down and her family murdered by Og and she is the only one who escaped now Og is out to get he, we decided that she hide’s in the church under the protection of Father Kennan so I can confront the people who are trying to harm her. When I got to the apartment I saw the Thugs who hurt her and her family, they stared at me angrily and the intention to kill me. As I was talking to them they pointed a gun towards me and told me go to hell and fired the gun, as the bullet has been fired I grab quickly my sword and started to deflect the shot the sword glowed the thugs saw what happened and they run away. I went back to the church and told father Kennan that I will end this now, father replied first go to your room and talk to Jamay. Jamay was crying in my bed because she saw how her family has been killed by the thugs she survived by hiding under a pile of dead bodies in the parking lot then went to the back and run towards the church, I promise her that he will end it now so he gave Jamay his Emerald necklace and told her “when this is over I will marry you and start a family of our own” with Tears and smile she said “get them, make sure you beat the crap out of Og’s face and also tell him to say Hi to mom and dad for” then she hug me tightly and kissed me. That Night as I am getting dress to fight Og, I prayed to God that I am sorry for my sins and I prayed that whatever happens tonight for give me because I have no assurance that I would make it back alive and take care of Jamay and Father Kennan. 8:30pm in the front of his Mansion I screamed to him “This ends here, I am John Daniel Constantine Garcia and I am the last Arthurian bloodline and I am here to fight you Decedent of Gilgamesh. He step up and introduced himself "I am Og Martin Evangelista I’m the Decedent of Gilgamesh I am here to fulfill my great grandfather’s legacy. (To be continued)

Lost Graves by S.A. Dunphy

Boyle & Keneally #2

 Gripping, gritty, and gruesome – grabbed my attention on page one and never let me go.

The thought going through my head…maybe a song…or that creepy movie…and now this book…was…don’t go into the woods today…and something about a big surprise…

 This is a series I am glad I came in on book one and look forward to reading for many books to come. Book one in the series introduced me to four characters that made me sit up and pay attention wanting to get to know them all better. Book two gave me a few insights into how the new investigation team put together in the first book are doing, reaffirmed that I like them and want to get to know each better as the series progresses.

 What I liked:

* The setting…creepy woods in Ireland

* The writing…brisk, short, intense chapters that pulled me in and moved me quickly through the story

* The four main characters that made an impression in book one continue to be people to admire

* Jessie Boyle: criminal behaviorist, focused, professional, has suffered great loss, strong, team player, leader, competent, skilled, someone I want to get to know better and wouldn’t mind having as a friend

* Seamus Keneally: detective, partner to Jessie, takes on more of the police aspects in the story, strong, skilled, professional, team player, forceful, works well with Jessie and Terry

* Terry Kehoe: historian, genealogist, tech wizard-guru, third member of the team, small but mighty, provides great support in more ways than one

* Dawn Wilson: Irish Police Commissioner recently appointed, Jessie’s best friend from childhood, strong, determined, focused, professional, takes no guff, there for the team she created

* The way the team works together, steps in, reads one another easily, takes on jobs without having to be told to do so, their interactions

* The sense that the team is a tightly knit unit that will only become stronger over time

* Joe and Finbar Kennan and their dog Rufus: Travelers caught up in this story – in more ways than one – that their part in the story informed me a bit and made me interested in googling Travelers. I wouldn’t mind seeing them again in aa future book of the series

* The tie-in to the local myths and the way it played into the story

* Abhartach: see above…big part of the story and interesting take on a common myth/legend

* That it was believable…even when it made me angry-sad

* The tie-in, though slight, to the first book’s serial killer – imagine s/he will show up again later

* That I had empathy for the killer

* That there were surprises throughout the story

 What I didn’t like:

* Exactly what I was meant not to like: whoever and whatever they might be.

* Knowing that evil exists in the world and some of it is similar to what was in this book…

 Did I enjoy this book? Yes

Would I read more in this series? Definitely…as soon as I can!

Terörizme Öbür Yanağını Dönmek: Tolstoy’un Dağdaki Vaaz’ı Tefsirinin Çağdaş Anlamı Üzerine Düşünceler

IV. I. TERÖRİZME KARŞI HERHANGİ BİR HRİSTİYAN YANITA DAİR OLASI ETKİLER

Böyle bir Hristiyan anlayışın “terörle savaşa” dair en azından iki önemli etkisi vardır: Başlangıç için Hristiyanlara şiddet kullanmayı terketme çağrısı yapılır fakat aynı zamanda ve daha temelde terörizm problemine öncelikle daha farklı bir ışıkta bakılmalıdır.

Kuvvet Kullanmaktan Vazgeçmek

Tolstoy’un “terörle savaş”a dair yapmış olduğu en önemli emredici yorum, her iki tarafın hangi şiddet aracı olursa olsun kendi amaçlarını haklı kılacak düşüncelerini akıllarında bulundurdukları tehlikeli yanılgıya işaret etmiş olmalarıdır. Tolstoy’a göre bu yanılgı üstesinden gelinmek zorunda olunan en kötü yanılgıdır çünkü Hz.İsa, başkası gerçekten çok kötü olsa da olmasa da yapıcı olan tek tepkinin direnmemek  – uzun vadeli tek çözüm – olduğunu rasyonel olarak ortaya koyar. (Tolstoy 1902, 1934d, 2001c).

Kişinin saldırıya uğradığında umutsuzca pasif kalması, hiç de tepki göstermediği anlamına gelmez. Hz. İsa mesela, “sırf acı çekmek aşkına” değil, aynı zamanda acı çekmeyi gerektirse bile kötüye karşı koymamak noktasında, sonuç ne olursa olsun öbür yanağını dönmenin yapılması gereken eylem olduğunu açıklar. (Tolstoy 1902, 17). Bu hedefi olan, sevginin, sabrın ve affediciliğin nihai hareketini temsil eden bir yanıttır. Sevginin böylesine güçlü bir göstergesi olan umut, düşmanın, kötünün şiddet dolu kalbini zamanla yumuşatmakla zorunludur. Tabii ki bu böyle olacak diye bir garanti yoktur. Bu görünürde düşmana zaferinin yolunu açar fakat kurbanın acısı sırası geldiğinde düşmanın kalbine – en azından onun nüfusunun sağlam kısmına – hitap eder. Bundan dolayı, düşman kısa vadede tüm savaşları kazanıyormuş gibi görünse de, akıllar ve kalpler için geniş mücadelede, onun fiziki gücü ahlaki başarısızlıkta ve sonuçta kalbinin değişmesiyle son bulabilir. Hepsinden öte, Hz. Sonrasında Gandhi, Martin Luther King ve 1960’ların “barış yanlılarını” [Peaceniks] etkilemiş ve her ikiside kampanyasını yaptıkları davalarında bazı başarılar elde etmişti. Basitçe, bir taktik olarak sevgi işe yarayabilir; mücadele ahlaki bir zeminde kazanılabilir. Direnmeme düşmanın son zaferini ifade etmez; tam aksine, sonuçta o saygın ve zorbaca olmayan bir şekilde kazanılabilir ve bu yapılabilir.

Fakat burada bir belirsizlik ortaya çıkar:  Tolstoy ve hatta dahası, onun yirminci yüzyıldaki bazı takipçileri kimi hallerde masumane bir şekilde Matta Bölüm 5 ayet 39’daki “kötü’ye direnmeme”yi “kötüye kötüyle direnmeme” olarak yanlış okumuşlardır. Yani, Tolstoy’un gerçek olarak uyarıyı kötüye direnmek için hiç bir fiziki güç kullanmamak anlamında yanlış yorumlamış gibi görünür – bundan dolayıdır ki şiddetsiz direniş tolere edilebilir (Maude 1930b, 250; Maude 1933, xv). Tolstoy bu şekilde Hz. İsa’nın buyruğunu yanlış mı anladı? Hz. İsa asla ve asla direnmemiş midir? Doğruyu söylemek gerekirse, Tolstoy muhtemelen Hz. İsa’nın kimi zamanlar küçük düşürücü kimselerle tartışıp, konuştuğu, onları yanlış olduklarına ikna etmeye çalıştığına dair “direndiği”ni tahmin etmekteydi. Bu Hz. İsa’nın kendi buyruklarına göre hareket etmediği anlamına mı gelir? Cevap kısmen kişinin Dağdaki Vaaz’ın ruhundan ziyade yazılana ne kadar odaklandığına bağlıdır. Hz. İsa’nın eylemleri daima sevginin ruhuna dayanır. Sonunda, Tüm Hristiyanlara klavuz olan nihai referans ve en yüksek prensiplerin dayandığı şey sevgidir. Hz. İsa’nın sıklıkla tekrar ettiği birinin komşusuna ve tanrıya duyduğu sevgi tüm hukukun sonradan bağlandığı temel buyruklardan ikisidir (mesela Matta 22.36-40; John 13.34-35). Bu yüzden mesela, sıkı direnmemenin uygulandığı durumda daha temel Hristiyansevgi ilkesi uygulandığı zaman direnmemenin ikincil buyruğu herhalde orantılı olarak ılımlı olmak durumundadır.

Mesela Tolstoy insanlara şiddetli zulmün esas aleti olan devleti redetmeleri, kendi ordularında mecburi askerliği protesto etmeleri[2] ve vatandaşlara vergi vermemeleri için çağrıda bulunuyordu (sonraki bölüm Tolstoy’un devleti neden kötü olarak düşündüğünü daha iyi açıklayacaktır). Fakat o genede “kötüye karşı koymama buyruğuna riayet ederken,  insanların otoritelerin talep ettikleri emek ve malları vermeleri gerektiğini” de söyler (Tolstoy 1933, 288).  Bundan dolayı kişi otomatik olarak itaat etmemelidir – şiddetin gelecekteki bir tehdidini adeta önceden sezme de – fakat sadece sonuçta baskı yapıldığında teslim olmalıdır (ya da karşı koymamalıdır). Mesela, kişi isteyerek ne vergi vermelidir ne de devletin sonuçta onların zorunlu olarak ele geçirilmesine direnmelidir. Ve hatta boyun eğmeye zorlandıkları zaman Hristiyansevgi daima en üstün olarak kalmalıdır. Bundan dolayı örneğin kişi askeri bir eyleme zorlanırsa kardeşlerini öldürmemesi – yani kimseye ateş etmemesi – gerekir. Her ne alternatifi benimserse benimsesin, hiç bir şiddet kullanmamalıdır, kişinin Tanrı’ya ve komşusuna sevgisi tüm eylemlerinin en önemli ölçütü olarak kalmalıdır.

Kısacası, kişinin karşı koyma benzeri duyguya sürüklenebildiği herhangi verili durumda önceden tanımlanmış basit, güzel cevaplar açıkçası yoktur. Şurası kesindir, şiddetle karşı koyma Hz. İsa’nın buyruğuyla halen açık bir çatışma içindedir. Şiddet içermeyen direniş kimi zaman hoşgörülebilsede halen netlik kazanmamıştır. Kötüyle yüzyüze gelindiğinde bu bazı karşılıkları gerektirir; fakat şiddete bu tepki dürüst bir Hristiyandan geldiğinde asla şiddet olamaz. Tolstoy’un şiddete kendi tepkisi onun çeşitli deneme, oyun ve romanlarında onun prensiplerine yayılıyordu – onun protestosu geniş anlamda şifahiydi.[3] Gandhi şiddetin prensiplerini çok daha çatışmacı olarak uygular; onu kral ve daha sonraki pasifistler çok daha ileriye, taktik politik aktivizme itmişlerdir.

İsa tarafından kınanması gereken bir şey olduğunu düşünen bir “Hristiyan” olarak kalmak arzusundadır ve terörizme karşı olası Hristiyanyanıt, spektrumu oldukça dar olarak karşı koymamaktan şiddete şiddetle karşı koymamak arasında dizilir – herşey daha da fazla Hz. İsa’nın buyruklarının itaatsizliği olarak ortaya çıkar.

Yine de, “doğru” yorumlama sıkı direnmemeye ya da daha müphem bir şiddetsiz direnişe daha yakınsa da, takip edilen her iki yöntem de oldukça zor bir görev olarak kalır. Bundan dolayı tekrardan Tolstoy’un bize hatırlattığı gibi Hz. İsa onun haçını taşımamış olanların – yani, kötüye karşı koymanın nihai sonucuyla yüzyüze gelmeye hazır olmayanların – onun müridi olamayacakları uyarısında bulunmuştur (Tolstoy 1902, 18; Matta 16.24-28; Markos 8.34-38; Lukas 9.23-27).[4]  Hz. İsa tarafından gösterilen yol sadece şehitlerimiz tarafından yürünebilir. Bir “şehit” etimolojik olarak bir inanca kendikendine şahitlik eden kişidir. Terörizm Üzerine

Bu konuda “terörle savaş” ifadesi gerçekten bir şey ifade etmemektedir. Kurbanın perspektifinden bir şey için şiddete dair herhangi bir eylem çok korkutucudur. Yani, hedeflenen nüfusu “terörize” eden gücün herhangi bir şekilde kullanılması boyutlarında, savaş sadece daha geleneksel taktiklerle terörizmdir. Geleneksel ordular en azından hedeflerini seçerek daha titiz olmaya çalışırken, teröristler kasti olarak gelişigüzel bir şekilde vururlar. Bunun yanında, Tolstoy haddi zatında teröristlerin kötü yaradılış ya da insanlık dışı olarak nitelendirilmesini reddeder; ona göre, kendi insanlarına ve değerlerine karşı algıladıkları adaletsizliklere karşı umutsuz bir yanıt olarak şiddet gibi kötü yöntemi seçme yanlışlığını yapan insanlardır bunlar. “Kötü” olan teröristler değildir, ilk elden onların kendi kendilerine “kötü” olarak düşündükleri şeye gösterdikleri tepkileridir.[6] Bundan dolayı geleneksel savaşla terörizm arasında önemli farklılıklar olmasına rağmen, Tolstoy’a göre, her iki taktik de kötü olarak algılanan benzer yanlış davranıştan türer – ve gerçekten bu kötünün bulunduğu önemli yanlıştır. “Terörle savaş”ın neden işe yaramaz bir ifade olduğunun ispatıdır; hiç değilse, bu “savaş” istemlerini tesadüfen engelleyen ölçülerde önemli problemlerin kendi temelini karşılayan yaygın bir körlüğe ihanet eder. Çünkü her iki taraf da kendi amaçlarına ulaşmak için şiddet aracını kullanmaktaydılar ve böylece onların bu eylemleriyle her ikiside durumu sadece ağırlaştırmaktaydı (Tolstoy 1937c, 1937e, 1937f). Tolstoy’a göre, gerçek problem başkasına karşı direnmek için birinin şiddet kullanmaya hazır olmasıdır. Başka bir deyişle, “onlara karşı biz”de zararlı unsur, “onlar” değildir, şiddetli bir “karşı olma” durumu olarak gördüğümüz sürece “biz”dir; “Terörle savaş”ın iki tarafı da daha geniş boyutta, yok etmek için çalışma iddiasında oldukları “kötü”de canlandırdıkları eylem yoluyla ya birbirilerine karşı açık bir “savaş” halinde ya da sözümona meşru müdafada şiddet kullanmaya hazırdırlar. Ve Tolstoy, her iki taraf bunu kavrayıncaya kadar “terörle savaş”ın kötü bir şekilde uzayacağını bekler. Tolstoy, bundan dolayı, “terörle savaş”ın her iki uzlaşmaz tarafının topluma dair vizyonlarını yerine getirme teşebbüsünde şiddet kullanmamaları çağrısını yapar. İddia eder ki insanlık kesinlikle “kafasının biri koptuktan hemen sonra yeni bir başı ortaya çıkan mitik canavarın kafasını koparmak gibi bir yıkım yöntemi kullanmaktansa bundan böyle insanlığın şartlarını geliştirecek daha iyi araçları” tasarlamalıdır (Tolstoy 1937e, 197).

Onun zamanlarına dönersek, Tolstoy Hz. İsa’nın nasihatları önemsenmezse genel olarak dünyayı ve onun ülkesini büyük ihtimalle korkunç şiddet sarmalının içine çekeceğine dair uyarı yapmaya çalışmıştı. (Tolstoy 1937c, 1937e, 1937f, 2001a, 2001d). Ve kısa bir süre için, Rus dostları onun sesini dikkatli bir şekilde dinliyormuş gibi göründü; Tolstoy, Rusya’da kesinlikle oldukça etkili bir figürdü– bir yorumcu yüzyılın bu dönümünde Rusya’da iki önemli gücün olduğu haberlerini yapmaktaydı: Çar Nikola II ve Leo Tolstoy (Kentish 1987, 9). Fakat sonunda Tolstoy’un mesajları şiddetli devrim ve savaş çağrıları arasında işitilmez oldu ve 1910’daki ölümünden kısa bir süre sonra dünya belkide tarihinin en karanlık dönemine girdi. Mitik canavarın birçok kafası hem ulusal olarak (Bolşevik devrimi) hem de uluslararası olarak (Birinci Dünya Savaşı) kesilmişti ama hemen yeni kafalar eskilerinin yerinde bitmişti.

Şimdi dünya global boyutlarda başka bir savaşın içine çekilmiş oluyor, Tolstoy bir kere daha iki tarafın ılımlılarına seçmiş oldukları yolun varmak istedikleri; hedeflerindeki yere gerçekten de götürebilirliğini ciddi şekilde sorgulamaları çağrısını yapmaktadır. O misilleme ve kınama yerine anlama ve affedicilik için mücadele etmekteydi. O, belkide Batı’yı insanları başka insanlara zarar vermek için intihara teşebbüs ettiren dış politikasını yeniden gözden geçirmeye davet edecekti. O belki de komşumuzun terörizme başvurmasının ilk evvela komşumuzu sevmemize dair kendi payımıza bir başarısızlık semptomu olduğunu, başka bir deyişle, düşmanımızın şiddetinin kendi şiddetimizden ayrı olmadığını tartışacaktı. O belki de Batılılara kendi eylemleriyle kardeşlerine ders vermeden önce neden oldukları kötüye dair düşünmelerini soracaktı. O belki de bir an için kötüye karşı koymak adına sarfedilen çabaların – “Hristiyan” milletlerin olağanüstü büyük “savunma” bütçelerini – yerine tüm insanlığı korumak ve sevmek için çaba harcamaları çağrısında bulunacaktı.[7] O belki de eğer Batılılar nefretle değil sevgi ile muamele edilmesini istiyorlarsa ilk evvela – “düşmanlarını sev” – sevgiyi yeşertmelerini fakat “ve hiçbir şeye sahip olmayacaklarını” isteyecekti  (Tolstoy 1937a, 250).[8]

Tolstoy bugünün uluslararası terörizmine şahit olmadı. O, yurtiçinde, devrimci şiddet ve eşit ölçülerde karşı-devrimci baskı ve uluslararası ölçekte, askeri gerginlik, milliyetçi hiddet ve savaş ittifakları bağlamlarında yazılar yazdı. Onun merkezi temel pasajı tüm tarafların her türlü şiddet kullanımından vazgeçmeleri ve bu bağlamda “dişe diş” ve “göze göz”le vurmak yerine “öbür yanağını çevirme” çağrısıydı (Tolstoy 1937c, 1937e, 1990a, 1990b). Bunun uzun vadede tek rasyonel yanıt olduğunu düşünmekteydi. Bundan dolayı, en iyi şekilde Hz. İsa tarafından vurgulanmış olan evrensel aklın benzer bir zemininde, aynı şeyi bugün de savunurdu fakat bu yola Hz. İsa’nın müritlerinin yol gösterici olmalarını beklerdi. Dahası, bağlamımızda sonra da, belki de var olan devletin yok edilmesi gerektiğini tartışacaktır. Aşağıda açıklanacağı gibi ona göre devlet şiddetin en temel nedenidir ve olmamalıdır. Daha da önemlisi, o Hristiyanları oldukça basit ve farklı bir yaşam sürdürmeye ve birbirleri için fedakârlık yapmaya özendirecekti, bu da özellikle en baştan doğacak şiddet ve nefretin önüne geçecekti. Tolstoy’a göre, Hz İsa ve gerçekten de aklın kendisi şiddetle karşı koymanın uzun vadede işe yaramayacağı ve yarayamayacağını iddia eder.

[1]     Tolstoy’un burada her ikisi de Hristiyansolunun önde gelen ilahiyatçısı olan Wink (1987, 1992) ve Yoder (Wogaman 2000;  Yoder 1992, 1994) ile güçlü benzerlikleri vardır. Elliot (1990) ve Ballou (2001, 2006) Tolstoy gibi devleti sorgulamak ve onun Hristiyan meşruiyetine şiddet kullanmadan direnmek fikrine çok daha fazla eğilimlidirler.

[2]     Tolstoy ciddi bir şekilde vicdani retçilerin büyüyen bir dalgasının toplumun Hristiyanyenilenmesi için öncü olacağı umudunu taşımaktaydı.

[3]     Kimileri şiddetin fiziki olduğu kadar sözlüde olduğunu tartışır (Mesela Ellul 1970) ki bu Tolstoy’un sözlü kınamalarının şiddetin bir şekli olarak anlaşılabilir. Tolstoy asla bu gri alana işaret etmez. Şiddet vasıtasıyla, o bir insane varlığının başka bir insane varlığının eyleminin sonucu olarak çekmiş olduğu kaba, görünür, fiziki şiddetle fiziki acılar çekmesini gerçekten anlatmak istemektedir; ve – Hz. İsa’nın sözlü olarak karşılık vermeme ve şiddete şiddetle karşılık vermemesini örnekleyip, vaaz verirken dinsel otoriteleri kınamıştı – Tolstoy’un Hz.İsa’nın buyruklarına göndermede bulunurken ele aldığı bu çeşit bir şiddettir.

[4]     Tolstoy’un Hz. İsa’nın “haç’ı taşımak” çağrısına dair anlayışı açıkçası Hristiyanhaçlılarının onu kâfirlerin boğazlanmasına dair bir emir olarak yorumlamalarından farklı kutuplardadır. Fakat tartışmalı olarak Dave Andrews ve bir diğer Hristiyananarşistçe belirtildiği gibi Hz. İsa’nın öğretisi ve örneğiyle çok daha fazla aynı çizgidedir (Andrews 2001).

[5]     “Şehit” kelimesinin intihar bombacılarının çağında oldukça negatif yananlamlara sahip olduğu inkâr edilemez fakat bu herzaman bir vaka değildir. Kilisenin şehitleri, en azında başlangıçta, kendi Hristiyaninançlarına gölge düşürmeyi reddetmelerinden dolayı vahşice işkence edilen ve öldürülen azizlerdi. Öldürmeye çalışırken ölmenin anlamını alması Tolstoy’un anladığı gibi, kilisenin ilahiyatçılarının Hz. İsa’nın öğretisinin acınacak bir şekilde saptırılmasıyla olmuştur: bu şehitler elbette bundan dolayı şahadet eden ve şehit olanlardır fakat kendi saptırılmış “Hristiyan” inançlarının şahidi ve şahadetidir bu. Gerçek Hristiyanşahadeti Tolstoy’a göre sadece sevgi, affedicilik ve karşı koymamanın -kesinlikle şiddetin ve nefretin değil- bir şehitliği olabilir.

[6]     Tolstoy tarihçilerin onlara atfettikleri tarihin “büyük adamları”nı suçlamayı kabul etmez – o Napolyon savaşlarında doğrudan Napolyon’un sorumlu olduğuna dair bakış açısını Savaş ve Barış’ta reddettiğini yazmıştır. (Hopton 2000, 28-32; Tolstoy 1993a). Tarihin büyük kötü adamlarının kendi kendilerine kötü olarak nitelendirilebilmelerine inanmaz görünmektedir. Ona göre kötü olan, bu yöntemi yanlışlıkla benimsemiş insane varlığından ziyade yöntemdir.

[7]     Daha sonraki bölüm göstereceği gibi, o daha da ileri gider ve hakiki bir Hristiyan(anarşist) toplumun paralel uygulamalarıyla devletin eskimiş kılınması için çağrı yapar. Bundan dolayı, kamu harcamalarının ayarlanması için bir talebi olmayacaktır. Fakat her bir Hristiyanın devlete itimat etmeksizin bunu onlar için yaparak, insan kardeşlerini sevmeye çaba ve eşit zaman harcamalıdır.

 Hola , mi nombre es Catalina Florez , nací en la ciudad de Cartagena y tengo 13 años , hago este escrito porque me gustaria contarle  mi historia , contarle todos los sucesos por los que he pasado , todos mis acontecimientos mas especiales y los mas tristes , esta bien comenzemos , se podria decir que mi vida no es la mas emocionante pero tampoco es la mas aburrida , naci el 15 de Octubre del 2003 en el hospital la san Juan de Dios al medio dia , sin tener uso de la razon , me senti esplendida al sentir el primer beso de mi madre en la frente , bueno el primero hasta ahora ; creci con mi madre y con mi padre juntos compartiendo grandes momentos llenos de felicidad y al mismo de tristeza en donde me enseñaban a sentirme segura de mi misma , a sentirme segura de mis emociones y al mismo tiempo de mis pensamientos , con el pasar del tiempo me enseñaron a ir tomando mis propias desiciones para poder afrontar la vida y todo lo que trae esta , hasta que con el paso del tiempo ya las cosas no eran como antes , mis padres no se entendian , pasaban discutiendo por la minima estupidez y pues eso me dolia y me afectaba y pues creo que ellos se daban cuenta de esto asi que llegaron al punto de separarse , se plantearon los papeles del divorsio y todo eso .En fin yo me quede a vivir con mi mama , no teniamos tanta comunicacion , solo un hola incluso creo que no existia el buenos dias ,  en fin no era yo no me sentia yo me miraba al espejo y decia ¿ah donde carajos se fueron las risas y las alegrias? ¿donde quedaron las ganas de vivir? ¿donde quede yo la de antes?enserio me sentia triste , pero creo que es normal que a alguien le duela no poder ver a su papa en la mañana , verlo al llegar del colegio y todo eso , total fue pasando el tiempo , conoci nuevas personas , la comunicacion con mi madre se daba  a ver mas , es decir , resumidamente todo estaba en la normalidad , aun no me sentia yo oficialmente pero se acercaba , una tarde mi papa me llamo a mi celular me dijo que queria presentarme a alguien , yo me imagine miles de cosas ,  pero nunca me imagine una nueva mama , o una madrasta como dicen por ahi , en fin su nombre es Angie , digamos que no me agrado mucho pero tampoco es  una mala persona , entendi que mi papa necesitaba a alguien a su lado para seguir con su vida y seguir siendo feliz , es decir , alguien a quien amar y conocer cosas nuevas , fui aprendiendo un poco mas de la vida pero aun asi la ilusion que tenia del final feliz ya no iva con migo.

pasaron 6 meses ya no era la unica princesa de papa o mejor dicho ya no era la princesa de papa , mi papa me explico  que tendria una hermanita y que el cariño que me tiene a mi nunca iva a ser reemplazado por ella ,en ese momento no le crei  no se si era el dolor tan grande que tenia que me hacia no creer en sus palabras , me sentia muy mal , queria estar sola , no pense que en mi vida se llegaran a dar tantos cambios , no sabia que hacer es ese momento , pero esta vez no me deprimi esta vez puse en practica lo que el mismo me dijo “apesar de todo se fuerte” asi que lo hize , pasaron muchos meses hasta que ella por fin nacio , no me emocione mucho porque no la consideraba mi hermana pero aun asi me sentia feliz porque por lo menos mi papa era feliz y pues eso es lo que me importaba , no compartia mucho con mi  supuesta hermana pero algo es algo.Fue creciendo , ya mi papa no era el mismo con migo , le prestaba más atención a mi “Hermana” pues claro como no , también le tenía que enseñar lo mismo que que me enseñó a mi , eso de sentirme segura de mi misma

que tengo que afrontar la vida y lo que trae esta , aunque espero que ella no pase por todo lo que yo he pasado , ya mañana cumple 2 días de nacida y tengo que ir a casa de mi papa pero no me gustaría , ya han pasado 9 meses de que mis padres no están juntos , ya han pasado 9 meses en donde no puedo tomarme una foto junto a ellos y subirla a alguna red social ,pero diría que ya no puedo hacer más nada. Ya mi hermanita esta creciendo , se parece a mi papa , es muy linda hay que reconocerlo , mi mama conoció a alguien ,es decir ahora además de tener una nueva mamá ,también tengo un nuevo papá ,su nombre es kennan lo conoci hoy despues de haber visto a mi hermana , mi mama junto a el me cuentan que se conocieron hace 2 meses y que desde el primer instante en que se vieron se enamoraron, total a mi me da igual su noviazgo ya que como mi papa mi mama tambien se merece una oportunidad,los dias han pasado y aun no me siento la misma de antes pero siempre hago un esfuerzo por poder ser quien era . Ya han pasado algun tiempo desde que mis pensamientos , ni mis emociones no son las mismas , aun no se porque , pero quisiera que ellas vuelvan .

ya han pasado 2 años , resulta que ahora no soy la princesa de mama , esta bien nunca lo fui , mi mama esta embarazada y ya sabe que sera niña , ella no me lo conto , no tuvo el minimo valor ni la minima confianza para contarmelo , yo me entere por unas conversaciones que ella tenia en su celular , pero no le dije que sabia , solo calle y espere a que ella me lo contara , fuimos a la iglesia ese mismo dia en la noche , llore mi mama no me pregunto porque pero aun asi no tuve el minimo miedo de hacerlo , al llegar a la casa no aguante y le pregunte  mami estas embarazada , ella supongo que se puso nerviosa y me regaño por el tono de voz que estaba utilizando , aun asi no me dio miedo volverle a preguntar hasta que me dijo la verdad , despues de esa respuesta espere ah que ella se retirara de mi habitacion y llore , me desahogue como nunca lo habia hecho en mi vida pero aun asi se sintio bien 

hoy en dia estoy clara de lo que siento y lo que  quiero ser en un futuro , estoy consiente de mis verdaderas amigas y de quienes siempre han estado ahi para mi , conoci una persona especial su nombre es Andrea , es una gran amiga y me ha ayudado mucho ya que ella ha pasado por lo que yo pase , es decir , las peleas de los padres , la  madrasta , el padrasto y las nuevas hermanas , en fin encontre el amor en alguien que nunca pense , su nombre es David y lo amo mucho y por nada del mundo quisiera perderlo , ya soy un poco mas madura y mas consiente de mis actos , mis papas se separaron ¿y ?ni que el mundo se acabara , tengo apenas 13 años de edad ya casi cumplo los 14 , me queda un futuro por delante y enserio no debo estar desperdiciando sonrisas en cosas que ni siquiera me deben importar a mi , me amo y amo todo de mi y si lees alguna vez esto quiero que siempre seas feliz apesar de todas las dificultades , siempre habra alguien que te aliente y te haga sentir mejor

I DO HAVE OCs! i’m guessing you’ve only followed me recently, but yea i really should draw them more–OCs used to be the main thing i drew, years back _(:’3 CAN I SHOW U SOME OF THEM THO?? JUST A FEW–PLEASE?? (sorry in advance, this may be a long post; i’ll put it under the cut!)

1–Seishin, one of my oldest babies, no big change with overall design over the years tbh. He’s one of three badass Generals in this mega kingdom I made up when i was a child. Currently courting a dragon bc he’s just THAT badass.

2–Heiwa, possibly my…oldest ever OC?? 8′D I have several versions of him; basically he exists in all the stories i come up with, just in different forms. Sweet kid, takes shit from no one. Everyone loves Heiwa.

3–Kennan, also an old af OC. He is Heiwa’s boyfriend in all the universes they exist in. Wicked smart, tattoos and brawls kind of guy. He excels in fist fights and is a well-known underground fighter. Everyone is a little scared of Kennan.

4–Incubus, co-founder of the Black Circus, an evil organization slash shady(?) entertainment business. Super emo. He’s a being that exists in every generation and has had many famous aliases. He retains memories from every one of these lives. This seems to be an eternal punishment for a past crime.

5–Ganymede: don’t let that face fool you, he’s a stone cold gold digger, baby. I love him. He’s got a face so pretty it made a whole town burn down (not an exaggeration, part of a long backstory). A high-ranking Black Circus member. Also Kien’s lover.

6–Kien, my evilest darling. Ringmaster of the Black Circus. Has a king complex. Very unpredictable and cunning. Has the sickest kinks but luckily Ganymede is like down for anything. People think he’s nuts so everyone lets him do whatever. Can sing all the Disney villain songs by heart. 

7–Arora, my angriest son. Very adaptable, doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty. Hardest worker you’ll ever meet. Can come off as an ass to some people. Hella protective of his younger bro. The kind of guy that will stand behind his sibling with arms crossed, daring anyone to come talk to him.

8–Fawne, Arora’s younger bro. A mega sweetheart, the perfect cinnamon roll. Has issues due to Tragic Backstory. Desires world peace. Can protect himself with the Power of Love. Knows no fear, which makes him do crazy shit but gives Arora heart attacks.

9–Nameless for now; from a small project I started called Tokyo Shonen.
