Introducing my new OTP! It’s between the creator of miraculous (Thomas astruc) and the creator of bioshock (Ken Levine). I call it writers cock (thanks @the-robot-bracket for the name).

I made this ship because both of them like to make canon more confusing, butcher characters or pretend their existence in canon never mattered, and like, their relationship with the female heroine of the series (i saw the body pillow tweet Ken) They’ve probably done other similar things to but I can’t remember all of their actions.

Imagine being so fucking wrong about everything that 25 years after you die a videogame is published that is a detailed, thorough exploration of how fucking wrong you were about everything. It does at least fix that awful early 2010s gameplay trend of “two weapons at a time,” which also fixes the game’s useless weapon upgrade system, but it still has all the other gameplay issues as the original (boring, samey charged Plasmids, buying plasmid upgrades with regular money meaning killing the harder enemies has no reward, the Shield mechanic existing, random gear drops, etc etc etc). The story is a butchering of the first two games. It undermines the fall of rapture by having outsiders play pivotal roles instead of it being the logical endpoint of Ryan’s Objectivist philosophy and straight up RETCONNING massive beats from BioShock 2 because Ken Levine is a petty asshole who can’t let other people play in his space.

Burial at Sea is NOT a highlight of BSI it’s SO much worse. Save yourself the trouble and just don’t.

damn 😅 i kept hearing it was better than the base game for some reason. i’ll probably still play it bc… well i have it. but i guess i’ll know to keep my expectations low !
