I would be really surprised if Ian & Sarah kept dating after the events of Jurassic Park: The Lost World.

On one hand, nearly dying could bring them closer, but she clearly disregarded Ian telling her about what happened on Isla Nublar & also his worry about Kelly's safety when he found out that she had snuck with them to Isla Sorna.

I love this movie but each time I think about Sarah she annoys me, it would be one thing to endanger herself after hearing for 4 years about Isla Nublar but to disregard the safety of a child (after 2 other children had also nearly died in similar circumstances) is a whole different thing

Rewatched Jurassic Park 1 & 2 for the first time in maybe 5-7 years and still impressed by how well both hold up. I despise the fact that JP2 got a bad rap for so long when I feel that it was an excellent follow up. Honestly it feels like the only thing that people ever clowned on & disparaged JP2 for was Kelly’s Gymnastics Attack and not much else, which though cheesy was cheesy in a very endearing way IMO similar to Lex being a hacker prodigy in the original and most certainly not fall on the floor, give this movie a Razzie Award level moment.

Speaking of Kelly Malcolm though, I remember being in some way spiritually fulfilled as a kid not only seeing Ian Malcolm in loving disaster dad mode but being a dad to a spunky black girl who was a major part of the cast. Interracial/biracial parentage at least to me felt extremely underrepresented in media of the time & Ian & Kelly had a great & believable relationship in the film. Watching both the OG Jurassic Park films wasn’t only a treat but reignited my disdain for the Jurassic World Trilogy which I felt was absolutely bereft of characters even half-way endearing as the cast in the first. A feeling I felt was validated by Jurassic Park Dominion pitifully dragging Ian, Grant & Sattler back into the mix.

Still pissed that the originals didn’t keep Grant & Sattler together nor capitalize on the obvious throuple potential of the 3 Docs in JP1 either 😂

Ian Malcom Headcanon (AU-I guess….)

( Hollywood had no business making those Jurassic world sequels so they don’t exist here😂)

After the events of the 2nd film, Ian and Sarah are still married to this day.❤️

And had two children of their own together a boy and a girl: Robert and Isabelle

But technically they have 15 due to Ian previous 3 children from his other marriages and their children.

He decided to be one big happy family so their kids are his kids, why be so distant about it. Which was pretty funny introducing him to the previous wives in-laws as “my ex husband “ but no big fuss.

His first ex wife: Isobelle married an Accountant famed Dan very sweet and kind they ahd 3 kids

His 2nd wife :Jeannie ,Married an ex Football player now retired as HS coach. They had 3 as well.

His 3rd wife : Kimberly, eventually married an actor who might as well named Donald ‘Don’ They had 4 kids (2 from a revulsion relationship of his ) and two from her.

Be a male model because she’s just as tall and handsome. And their kids end up being these same tall beauties their parents are.

set two years after the events of jurassic park iii, kelly is a comp sci major at university of texas at austin. she rejoined the gymnastics team at her school and became their top gymnast, and now competes on her college’s gymnastics team. she hopes to make it to the olympics one day.

kelly has retained a good relationship with her father, ian malcolm since the second film. her mother has moved to paris and only visits her daughter on occasion, which left ian to raise kelly mostly on his own. the things she witnessed on isla sorna had left her with trauma that she has seen a therapist for since getting back home. despite this, kelly is an independent individual unafraid of standing up for herself.

I remember seeing those two lines only one time when I was a kid. The scene would repeat in my head constantly, even now it does sometimes.

Weird, but bc of that, it is one of the most nostalgic interactions to me

francis malcolm sullivan is kinda a lethal blow however im convinced part of jack wishes he never had to change his name. something his entire family called him is just gone now because he needed to be safe.

(also devastating as hell that the name francis is supposed to mean “free man” and jack had to change it bc he just literally wasnt)

Jack’s experience becoming a father was shaped by the trauma of growing up with a neglectful and abusive father, Malcolm Sullivan. The thought of becoming like him made Jack incredibly nervous about his own abilities as a parent. When Sarah first handed him their son, he was too afraid to hold him, convinced that he’d somehow mess up. It took Sarah’s patience and reassurance to convince him to try, and when he finally did, he was stiff and tense, worried he might break him. Sarah would smile, seeing how much Jack cared, even if it made him nervous.

As time went on, Jack grew more comfortable. By the time their second son came along, Jack was more willing to hold him, though he still handed him back to Sarah whenever the baby cried, unsure of how to fix it. But by the time their little girl arrived, Jack had completely found his rhythm. He was a pro at handling any challenge that came his way, showing just how much he had grown since those nervous early days of fatherhood.

Why is Jurassic park trending??? Anyways here are some character design ideas (my favourite hobbie) for the lost world plus some skeches i did with them...

Ok so, explaning these... in an ideal universe i would really like to see a lost world miniseries that's a mix of both movie and book... because the movie makes some really cool stuff but the book has some parts that feel more cohesive and vice versa...

Rambles about how plot and stuff would work below

So, depending if you go with book or movie 1 ending the begining would change because of hammond, but it would be basically the same anyways. I mixed sarah and levine because she's basically levine in the movie and while book sarah is a badass i think it would be fun to se her journey to becomenong that, like she goes from this self centered research focused kinda loser to this badass girl. Thorne and eddie should be merged too but i don't know why i separated them.

I like kelly being ian's daughter but i would change her motive to go on the mission, instead of her wanting to be with her dad she wants to help her idol sarah and prove she's useful so she stays the same as in the movies, but i think she should be more math and computer focused instead of gymnastics just because i think it's useful in these movies and it would make a little more sense.

Ian stays the same as the movies because he's perfect like that. Plotwise i would stick to the book but with the movie's team, like hammonds nephew is replaced with dogson but the rest stay the same, i would really like to see more scenes of the book like with the carnotauros, or the velociraptor chase, or sarah getting the car scene and stuff like that but also scenes from the movie like the animals scaping or the two groups meeting and having to kinda work togheter.

I would just cut Nick from the narrative because he's kinda useless, and the san Diego ending because it's kinda idk just there?
