10: What objects do they always carry around with them? Clementine always has the basics, a good knife, spare thread and needle, firestarter, waterskin, etc. But also, a pressed dandelion kept in a little glass trinket, a handful of spare arrowheads just in case her wife needs to emergency fletch some arrows, a notebook slowly filling up with sketches, and a rainbow feather. 8: Describe the place where they sleep. Oh Keeya room is lonely and empty and dull, nice ten by ten room with a slowly collapsing bedframe over a bunch of storage boxes, a clothes hamper, and a small desk with one chair and a horrid mess of papers and empty ink pots. Of course scattered liquor bottles they have to step around and over every time they traverse the room.

Keeya drops debut EP Paradise; listen to the title track

Bahamian singer-songwriter and visual artist Keeya has shared her debut EP entitled Paradise. The hugely impressive project boasts tracks which represent the soul of Keeya both as an artist and as a person, as she uses personal experiences as a muse for some beautifully crafted RnB that is both accessible and innovative.

Written and recorded in LA and at Keeya’s home in Nassau - Bahamas, the four-track offering is full of uplifting stories which celebrate female empowerment, soulful (yet leftfield) vocals, wavy synths, crispy 808s and enough bottom end to satisfy all lovers of bass genres. Keeya’s melodic approach to song writing is evident as she mixes Caribbean influences with progressive sounds and which coupled with her flair for visuals set her alternative RnB apart.

Title track ‘Paradise’ was one born out of a DIY ethic that Keeya is all about. Written and recorded in LA at Maestro The Baker’s home, it is described as ‘one is for the girls’, as it celebrates how the barriers are beginning to be torn down for women in music. Keeya explains: “Right now in music, I see women having fun again, and that makes me so happy. Women should have the space to be upfront about the things they like and the things they desire. As soon as we finished the demo it felt like a party. Everyone was dancing and vibing.”

When the soul leaves the body, before it finds its place in the realms beyond, it drifts above the Astral Sea, beneath the eight Astral Moons. 

We had our first death in the Dandelion Farmers campaign, luckily a “friend” was near enough to revivify Kaet, @suzirya‘s character.

This was a commission for Kianga and their friend Keeya (the mesmer on top of the rocks) ^^ I tried out some new things in this as well, and even made my own brush for the tree leaves =) I think it turned out quite well. However, not sure I will doing hand-painted grass blades again in the near-future hehe ^^’ it looks great, but very time consuming. 

Anyway, thanks to Kianga for commissioning me. It was a great pleasure working on this, thank you for the commission! ♥
