First post of 2025
1/2/25
I survived the holidays with minimal gain- pretty sure it is just a little water weight.
Either way- I kept my sanity.
I had lots of great meals. Lots of great and amazing desserts. Family time. Game time.
I am so proud of myself for not gaining my normal 20-30 pounds.
Time to lock in and get some shit done.
My inner heart has set a secret goal. 150.
Planning on working on my daily habits to hit my target:
-water/coffee/tea
-protein & fiber
-consistent workouts: cardio/weights/JJ
-NEAT: 10k steps & nonexercise activities
-Supps: you know what works
Let this be the year that you got even prettier, hotter, skinnier.
Let the assholes choke.

Stay conditioned for 5ks and 10ks, long bike rides.
Do random stuff as necessary.
Take that long walk. That long run. Go. Go. Go.

Where do you work out? I know so many people who love hitting the gym, but for me I am perfectly happy just keeping it cheap and cheerful!
I love to get out for a run in any of the local parks, or even just a road run can be enjoyable first thing in the morning. The most important thing for me is time alone with my own thoughts and a chance to clear my head before another day
What is your work-out destination of choice and why? I'd love to hear!

I am walking on my walking pads.
My goal right now is to increase my NEAT.
Although my exercise is now in a good routine, my weight loss has been stalled for awhile.
I noticed that despite my workouts, my daily steps is low.
Things I am trying to increase:
-store steps
-parking farther away
-pokemon go
-walking pad

Cattanooga Cats headcannon: Groove, in "jock" mode
Even as the Cattanooga Cats' drummer and sometime backup vocalist as can get to be passionate about his craft, Groove, considering his pudginess, can get to be something of a "keep fit" type. And what better exemplar of this than his getting up well before a Gatlinburg sunrise, wearing a reflective vest ("safety precaution, you know") while doing some running along the Parkway starting and ending at Cattanooga Klatsche, the Cats' coffeehouse and roastery.
(The pre-sunrise thing being dictated in the summer months especially by the heat and mugginess endemic to the Great Smoky Mountains region during daylight hours. Not to mention tourist traffic.)
