Humanity vs Evil
The difference between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump is that Trump’s flaws come from a disordered personality and from hatred. Kamala’s flaws come from her humanity. She is human. She is real. She is compassionate and courageous and yeah she did flub up a few interviews as vice president. Because she is a good and genuine human being. She’s been accused of not knowing where she stands because she stands out by not giving the simple easy answers that we crave. She understands the nuance to important issues. Most things are not all or nothing. That is a cognitive bias that all human beings are prone to, but we must fight it. All you have to do to understand who Kamala Harris is, is to read her book. She cares deeply for others and she cares deeply for diversity and justice. When she falls down, because she is human, she fights and gets back up. The things she is criticized for, her joy, her laughter, her occasionally imperfect interviews, her complex view of issues etc., are all things that prove her humanity. We need her leadership. America is a beautiful and wonderful place but we have our skeletons. We have our prejudices. We need to fight them. We need to move towards unity.
Donald Trump has abandoned his humanity a long time ago. I’d argue he abandoned it when Barack Obama became president. He believed his birth certificate conspiracy would have prevented a black man from becoming president, and it didn’t. He knew it was a racist conspiracy. His own mother was an immigrant. It wasn’t about Obama’s father being an immigrant. It was about the color of his skin.
Let’s make the right choice this November. Let’s choose unity. Let’s choose cohesion. Let’s choose justice. Let’s choose a person who does genuinely care about our economic well being.

Karen Araiza at KPRC:
HOUSTON – Introduced by Beyoncé, Vice President Kamala Harris took the stage at Shell Energy Stadium in what her campaign called the biggest rally yet. Reproductive rights were the sole focus of the rally. Harris was interrupted a few times by applause and a chorus of thousands chanting, “We are not going back! We are not going back!” She told the crowd it would be a tight race until the very end. “We are 11 days out from an election that will decide the future of America including the freedom of every woman to make decisions about her own body and her reproductive freedom.”
She called Texas ground zero in the fight for reproductive freedom. Since abortion was restricted in Texas, the state’s infant death rate has increased, more babies have died of birth defects and maternal mortality has risen. Harris highlighted the medical fallout from the state’s strict abortion ban and put the blame squarely on Former President Donald Trump. “Texas has a law now that offers a cash bounty for turning in someone who merely helped a friend or a family member get the care they need. In Texas, the law provides prison for life for healthcare providers for doing what they believe is in the best interest of their patient. In some counties in Texas, they have passed travel bans to prevent women from going to other states to receive care.”
Friday night in Houston, Texas, Kamala Harris gave a speech that focused predominately on abortion, especially the impacts of abortion bans in states like Texas.

A white socialist/communist outright stated that they don't like Democrats, and considered them vile for supporting genocidal candidates no matter what. A feeling most I know of shares across 'racial lines'.
and Black women (Dem or neoliberal) really levied the "love waffles? you must hate pancakes" logic at them ah-la, "Oh, so you must hate all Black women because most Black women are Dems". And all hell broke loose in their comment sections and across TikTok.
(This is the same woman who implied Palestinian protesters were being antiblack when they interrupted Kamala's empty spiel that resulted in her "I'm speaking now" bullshit.)
Tumblr media
All because the said socialist/communist said they were offered 15k to talk nice about the Dems, and noticed that other leftists they knew of were using talking points that were sent to them, and weren't required to disclose that to their audience because of a legal loophole.
I have blocked and unfollowed so many Black political TikTok commentators as a result of this bastardized version of identity politic. Especially the ones that passive-aggressively threw Black radicals under the bus (like they always do).
Effectively, this whole incident was a manifestation of the weaponization of Black womanhood and antiblackness in action. Weaponization because "listen to Black women" has become "don't challenge Black women on their politics". Weaponization meaning "antiblackness" is being thrown around the same way "antisemitism" is right now. Something a lot of folks predicted would happen the moment Harris was nominated.
But this was also a manifestation of anti-socialist and anti-communist sentiment that has been socialized into people since birth. Folks really got mad at them for saying Angela Davis was not a member of the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense but worked with the Black Panther Political Party as a Communist. We are truly living through another Red Scare.
I hate to see it.

In a recent appearance at a rally in Houston, Beyoncé and her longtime friend and Destiny's Child bandmate, Kelly Rowland, joined Vice President Kamala Harris, stirring up excitement and, as expected, a fair share of rumors. https://shanneltarottv.blogspot.com/2024/10/why-did-beyonce-and-kelly-rowland.html

Paige Skinner at HuffPost:
Beyoncé is expected to perform in her hometown of Houston at Vice President Kamala Harris’ rally on Friday, according to NBC News and The Washington Post. Harris will speak about Texas’ near-total abortion ban at the rally as the campaign comes to a close with only 11 days until Election Day. Harris has used Beyoncé’s song “Freedom” as her walk-on song at rallies throughout her presidential campaign. The campaign also used the song in an ad narrated by actor Jeffrey Wright. “What kind of America do we want?” he asks while “Freedom” plays. “One where we’re divided, angry, depressed? C’mon! We’re Americans! Fascism? We conquered it. The moon? Landed on it. The future? Building it. Freedom? Nobody loves it more.”
Beyoncé is set to perform at the Kamala Harris rally tomorrow in Houston, Texas.
