A full, probably not cohesive, list of every random little guy in the Fairy Tail Anime roster that sparked my interest even just a little bit.

Why did I make this list? Because I want to talk about this multitude of freaks so very badly, and the only way I can do that is screaming into a void begging you oh rando on the internet to come ask me about said freaks.

I have headcanons upon headcanons, rewrites upon rewrites, fake lore and just general frothing at the mouth for pretty much everyone pictured in these images.

9. How do other characters feel about you? Why?

It really depends on the canon we're in at the moment, but I mostly fall into a Neutral Vibes category. I don't have any strong positive or negative connections to most of the main cast outside of side canons.

10. What is your "role" in the story? Main character? Villain? Side character?

Background or side plot, depending on the game, but nothing major.

In most routes in the main game I don't even show up, in Anghel's route I'm just class 2-2's unnamed homeroom teacher who speaks to Hiyoko with maybe two lines of dialog without a portrait.

In Holiday Star I have my own short side story about unrequited love to class 2-3's homeroom teacher that, Kazuaki Nanaki, that Hiyoko helps with, which ends in polite rejection. Same story in the manga as well.

In Mirror (which isn't out yet, thus why the majority of my S/I AU is based in it) I am prominently in a Poly relationship with Kazuaki and Hitori that is mildly dysfunctional because none of us are proper adults and are a bit co-dependent.

But mostly, I'm just a filler character.

also theres like so many lingual intricacies when it comes to the titles of their eye abilities, like the eye abilities of takane (目が覚める/me ga sameru) and haruka (目を醒ます/me wo samasu) both literally mean 'eyes waking up', but takane's 覚める/sameru has the more general meaning of 'waking up from sleep', while haruka's 醒ます/samasu is more like 'sobering up from a state of intoxication'. and what takane's 目が覚める/me ga sameru means specifically, i could find that it can mean like, 'waking up, jolting awake', but i couldnt figure out if haruka's term 目を醒ます/me wo samasu has a particular idiomatic meaning, but i did read that 覚 and 醒 can be used interchangably, so..... 🕺i think its very cool that harutaka have abilities that are very similar in meaning to one another, and that they sound similar too!

and then there's also the abilities of momo (目を奪う/me wo ubau) and seto (目を盗む/me wo nusumu), where both of their abilities literally have the meaning 'to steal eyes', but momo's 奪う/ubau means 'to forcefully take something away', while seto's 盗む/nusumu is a more general term of 'dispossessing someone of something'. but when you stick these verbs into a phrase relating to eyes, they become idioms where 目を奪う/me wo ubau means 'to captivate/draw eyes in', while 目を盗む/me wo nusumu means 'to do something behind one's back/without them noticing'.

and the english term that both fans and official translators use for kido's ability (目を隠す/me wo kakusu) is 'concealing eyes', but this term differs a bit from it's japanese meaning. bc the term 'concealing one's eyes' in english is a rather uncommon phrase and could mean anything from blindfolding your eyes, covering them up with your hands, closing your eyelids, or even hide the fact that you have eyes with like, makeup! but in japanese it's likely more precisely to be something like "hiding your eyes/covering up your eyes":

and also 'hide and seek' in japanese is 隠れん坊/kakurenbo. so 隠/kaku for most intents and purposes means 'to hide'..., but i do understand why the fanbase at large has gone along with the term 'concealing' instead of 'hiding', bc the term 'concealing' has the implication of 'keeping something away from somebody', and in kido's case, she's keeping the presence of specific things away from the sight of others! very cool 😎

They drift apart circa 7th grade (I can naut remember if/how school works for inklings but when I first had this idea I was projecting something fierce so I’m committed to it I’m not about to disappoint 13 y/o cake bc his selfship lore isn’t as canon compliant as 21 y/o cake wants it to be) bc my si was sent to a fancy “private” middle school instead of the public one (it’s not actually private it just has strict rules and a uniform)

Fuck all happens until my si runs into spyke right around when they both first became adults

I’m being literal btw. He walked into spyke getting off a train and they ended up talking while waiting for a bus.

Shit sucks ass for both of them like, spyke had not gotten the hang of his shit with snails yet so he was perpetually broke and starving and my si hit academic burnout and was trying not to get evicted from his dorm.

They end up clinging to each other in a very “everything sucks and I want to die but I’m not leaving you here alone.” Type way

Spyke gets his shot sorted so he is no longer broke and starving and they end up sharing an apartment where my si becomes a complete shut in.

That’s pretty much where it stops being written, timeline wise this is between s1 and s2 roughly, closer to s1. I’m being horribly indecisive about where I want to go with the lore following
