you were one of the first ones to start looking for her, together with mirko, who knew how hard it would be for you to see her again

instead, lady nagant crossed paths with hawks and deku first, with you only getting to meet her again when she was brought into a hospital after severe injuries that almost killed her

it took a while for kaina to get better again – not just physically, but also mentally. yet you were beside her every step of the way. and so was rumi!

your girlfriend knew how much your ex still meant to you and she wasn't the jealous type

even when you confessed to her that you still hadn't gotten over kaina and that you still had feelings for her, mirko encouraged you to tell her about it

if everything would go well, you'd get to be with kaina and rumi. and things did go well!

both of them were important people in your life that you couldn't live without!

they were aware of it and they didn't mind having to 'share you' with someone else

rumi had heard a lot about kaina since she started dating you and kaina learned about rumi during her time at the hospital

the two girls slowly got closer as well over time, realizing they weren't so different and that they had a few things in common, aside from you

but being your girlfriends was a good bonding point for the beginning

after a while, the relationship started to feel more and more natural. you started getting used to your situation and it started to feel like it was meant to be this way

you couldn't imagine your life without the two of them anymore

and neither could they! 

without you, kaina wouldn't have been able to recover. you were able to accept her flaws and support her as she tried to get better again

and rumi fell in love with you even more, seeing how kindly you treated kaina, someone who had been through so much and yet still received nothing but kindness from you…

Putting all these on hold because I’ve been so bad at keeping up with seasonals and getting stressed out over it that I feel like I have to cut some shows but I’m not at all wanting to drop anything either so.

Back at it again with a profile of an obscure woman from Spidey's past. Here we've got Marcy Kane who goes through a real twist. This one is so long, but it's so worth it.

PLEASE READ ON

When we first meet Marcy she's a TA at ESU when Pete's got a job teaching part time there. She's dedicated to the work and is suitably annoyed that Pete is missing classes he's supposed to teach.

She got to ESU through hard work and sees Pete as someone who slacks off and succeeds anyway. You'd think the story would be him revealing his difficult past or wishing he could tell her the truth.

Instead the story is she starts wearing different headgear. First up is a scarf on her head. Not notable at all except Pete notes it.

Next up is a "turban" and oh my god I was dead certain that the reveal was gonna be she's got cancer. If a woman starts covering up her hair like this in any other medium then it is a hint they've got cancer. It's like when a woman throws up in a movie and you know it's because she's gonna reveal she's pregnant.

Whoopsie nope she's just wearing weird clothes now! WTF is going on???

That's it? She's a brunette with a pixie cut? She says she used to dye it blonde but a doctor told me the dye was making her hair fall out.

So that's it? OH NO DEAR READER! First we get a reintroduction...

...and after that she's a whole lot of nothing for a while. She faints after Moonstone attacks ESU. Deb Whitman gets jealous of her talking to Pete. She helps Pete with his classwork and after he gets a little handsy she threatens to break his arm.

He runs out to be Spider-Man so she gives up on him at this point and that's the end of whatever their relationship was. From here she gets a panel an issue to berate Pete for abandoning his science career for photography.

FORGET ALL THAT IT IS TIME FOR THE MARCY KANE MAIN EVENT

In Marvel Team-Up #134 starring Spidey & Jack of Hearts we find out that 1) Jack and Marcy used to be in love 2) he had abandoned her when he got his dangerous powers. She vows to use her knowledge of biophysics to free him from the unstable powers that have ruined his life.

Wait, crap that's not the main event let's try again. In the Jack of Hearts mini series we find Marcy actually doing that science work on Jack.

And she promises to clear up the mystery. What mystery? Is she really a blonde?

NOPE SHE'S AN ALIEN

She's a "Contraxian" which is what Jack's mom was too I guess. We're way out of Spidey territory at this point.

Jack saves the Contraxians by reigniting their sun and leaves Marcy with them. That was 1984 and Marcy's last appearance. As far as I know Jack never told Spider-Man that his friend was a secret alien. I think Pete would have liked to have known.
