#Kaboodle SMP season 3

disclaimer: I'm new to this fandom and running on my observations, please tell me if I've missed something.

Kaboodle SMP Theory lets go! Okay so we know what 2/3 of the primordial entities are, I think the third entity is the Elder Guardian. I also think that the Elder Guardian's host is going to start off as being Kaboodle, but then move to Maddie.

Okay so lets tackle the first part, both of the primordial entities we know of speak to their hosts and display some level of intelligence, this immediately rules out the warden as the primordial entity for the Overworld as they were shown as anything but intelligent in season 1. Not to mention if the warden was the primordial entity, it likely would have had Riice or Ivo as its host.

Another piece of evidence is that all of the primordial entities take the form of something unique to their home dimension. Wither skeletons are unique to the Nether, the Void is unique to the End. Water is unique to the Overworld, so it would make sense for its' primordial entity to be connected to it in some way. It also helps that we haven't seen an Elder Guardian or ocean monument in the series so far.

It would also tie back to the start of the series, the stronghold where Kab, Maddie, and Rae first met is underwater after all. Plus the library where the group learned about the primordial entities had several water features and was directly on the beach.

Plus cc!Kaboodle has stated she has intense thalassophobia, or fear of water. It would make sense if she took that fear and somehow worked it into the story.

With Clownpierce's colonization of the end, and the fact that Rae is likely going to be visiting the end soon; it would make sense if this season's plot revolved around taking him down and stopping whatever master plan he's been setting up.

Thing is, Clownpierce is OP as fuck. Odds are a deal with a primordial entity, similar to the one Kyle made would be necessary to take him down.

Now we get to the second part of the theory. I think the first host for the elder guardian would be Kaboodle cause 1 she's the main character 2 she has a repeated theme of sacrifice.

For a few examples; Pyro calls her a "necessary sacrifice" in season 1, in season 2 Ivory tries to sacrifice her post stabbing Maddie, 3 her stabbing Maddie could be viewed as an act of sacrifice to get her sanity back, 3.5 same with Izzy, 4 she also almost sacrificed her life to take Kyle down during the season 2 finale.

She's also one of the characters most connected to the primordial ones who hasn't been possessed by one. There's obviously her connection with Kyle, but there's also her interactions with Magic, with Pyro, etc.

Overall if anyone was going to make a deal with a primordial one, it would probably be Kaboodle. However I doubt other people would want her to do that. Which leads us to Maddie.

First off, Kyle would probably not be down given his experiences with the Void and the fact that he just got Kab back so he probably wouldn't want to lose her again.

Secondly, and more importantly, there is no universe where Maddie would be okay with this. Given Maddie's interactions with Artemis in the season 3 premire and just before the season 2 finale, it seems she has forgiven or is on the road to forgiving Kaboodle for the stabbing incident. She has also now had to abandon Artemis twice, so its unlikely she'd want to lose another little sister.

Maddie also has large themes of abandonment and running away. If Maddie did sacrifice herself, yes she would be facing the larger problem, but she'd be abandoning both of her families, possibly permanently, in the process.

Plus, Maddie just makes sense. Hear me out. If Maddie hosts the Overworld's primordial entity it mirrors Kyle hosting the End's primordial entity. She'd also complete the trio since Kyle's from the Overworld and Pyro's from the Nether.

There might be a few holes and I'm still new to this so please tell me anything I missed! Sorry for this being so God damn long lmao.

help i’m very very very new to lifesteal where do i begin i just started watching squiddo bc i absolutely love their other stuff and now im vibrating at the idea of loving this smp. where do i begin.

it really depends in what way you would like to watch it!!! like idk if youre more of a yt or stream watcher. squiddo videos are very high energy (and also do a great job at representing her pov during season 5) and if you wanna get deeper into it.... the trick that worked for me was to float around in youtube until i found a few people whose videos i really liked, then run with that. as a summary of each season:

season 1: its aight theres like a few yt videos

season 2: pvp sweat season kinda

season 3: pretty well rounded season. i recommend uhhhh clownzy pov (the gay one), rekrap, vitalasy, reddoons (every s3 video playlist)

season 4: the weird beast of lifesteal. absolutely disease inducing stuff if you can stand to pour a crazy time sink into it. i recommend princezam pov. more stream based than youtube based but theres youtube vids on it too (here's a VOD directory by @myrmica) (s4 summary by @cogmented) (every single season 4 video playlist)

season 5: the one with squiddo (and by default more awesome). this season is also really well rounded and a couple people like minutetech and jumperwho joined who have fantastic videos on long arcs. i rec them. (playlist of every season 5 video thank you @irrealisms)

season 6: latest season. so far its pretty awesome and theres a few vids on it that i havent watched yet (im a stream frog lol). heres a peer reviewed intro post with frequent streamers, pov recommendations, additional resources, etc. ive been watching princezam and jumperwho whenever they stream, and other povs on occasion like chiefxd, derapchu, hannahxxrose, kaboodle, and yea

Some notes:

No new tags that I saw this month, though as always I could have missed something! As you can see, we already have quite the assortment of canonized tags.

Fics are still primarily in english, but we have three exceptions with significant spanish fics. Karmaland (740 of 842 are in spanish, from 731 last month), Tortillaland (110 of 115 are in spanish, the same as last month), and QSMP (752 of 7,375 are in spanish, from 668 last month.)

QSMP also shows 39 fics in French, up from 30 last month, and 405 in Brasilian Portugese, up from 375 last month. While I did not check every language this month, I checked on the languages I knew had a fic in QSMP and we see 1 fic in ASL (probably a misclick as it appears to be in english), 1 fic in Bahasa Malaysia, 1 fic in German, 1 fic in Esperanto, 1 fic in Filipino, 5 works in European Portugese, 5 fics in Русский (Russian), 1 fic in Suomi (Finnish), 1 fic in Tiếng Việt (Vietnamese), and 3 fics in 中文-普通话 國語 (Mandarin Chinese, I believe), all the same as last month. New is two fics in Polski (Polish), one fic in Svenska (Swedish), and one fic in Dansk (Danish).

In the small and micro fandoms (under 200 fics), some of the most active small fandoms have grown out of this category so we only saw small amounts of growth. The standout fandoms all saw an increase of 6 works, and that was a tie between Content SMP, New Life SMP, and Witchcraft SMP. Note that Content SMP was coming up from only 24 works, so 6 new works is an increase of 25% of the fandom, truly impressive.

In the midsize fandoms (200-1000), Fable SMP has broken that 1000-fic mark and can no longer qualify for our standout fandom! Instead, our most active fandom was Evolution SMP, with 33 new works, followed by Mystreet with 20 fics and Minecraft: Story Mode with 24 fics. Mystreet and Story Mode are both new fandoms so it's unclear whether that's people retagging old work or true new fics.

For the post-canon big fandoms: Empires went up by 178 works, singificantly more than last month's 117, but not beating the previous month's 240, and Dream SMP's increase of 918 beat the previous month's 767, but is still only the second time I've seen this fandom fall under a thousand works plus a month. Hermitcraft is between seasons right now, but still experienced that holiday exchange boost, as its increase of 784 beat both last month's 574 and the previous month's 651. For active fandoms, traffic series posted a staggering 831 fics, which is its highest ever number, beating April 2023's 671 fics. QSMP saw 865 fics, which is part of a three month decline (894 last month, 913 the month before), but still posting numbers that are only exceeded by DSMP.

Overall, the number of fics posted under Video Blogging-RPF (the umbrella fandom that contains all MCYT) is 4,223 fics, a significant increase from last month's 3,489, and the previous month's 4,035, but still exceeded by October's record 4,702. Notably, it's higher than the summer numbers and almost exactly the same as the number we saw last January, 4,235 new works.

Hi, little hater here from earlier. At no point when writing that out did I think it was misogynistic, but like. Yeah it might have been a little bit. Idk if I would care enough to yap about it if it had been just another guy being added. Maybe I am holding her to higher expectations then I would for a male creator.

I was hoping for other female creators to get in, and maybe since she was the final person announced in the 6 we expected I'm salty cause she 'took' the hypothetical slot that other creators I was hoping for for lifesteal. And that's stupid, and looking back I know that that's stupid. And that's not on Kab, that's on Lifesteal for adding 6 guys and 1 girl, and that's on me for bitching about it in a public place.

I've been watching her for a while now, and I really do want her to succeed. I think some of my hesitancy for her in Lifesteal is the sort of lack of commitment to real storybeats that we saw in the final stretch of s5, and Kab deserves to be in better stories. She's at the top of the artform of mcrp, and so far Lifesteal has not been. I want Lifesteal to do better, and maybe Kab can bring some of that to the server, but like unless they can reach that level idk if its the right place for her. I just don't want to see her on a server that refused to meet the energy level she brings to things.

Idk man. I'm not that pressed about it, just between seasons is the time to yap cause theres no streams to watch to focus on instead, by july 7th I'll be hyped to see her there. I'm sorry about that prior ask. I will be paying Kaboodle the unfair hater tax in the form of a gifted twitch sub tonight.

i dont have any real bias for lifesteal or kaboodle. i started watching lifesteal this week and im not familiar with kaboodle at all. and the reason ive stayed away from pvp focused mcrp is because it's so heavily male dominated especially lifesteal, ive been making jokes that there's a secret no girls allowed rule since ive heard abt it.

this fandom has a long history of not treating women well and when a woman is a fan-favorite she's really only allowed to be 1 of 3 things, a fighter, a girl-boss, or ur soggy poor wet little meow meow. its just not fair to creators to be essentialized and treated as support for their male peers. made to fit into men's stories instead of getting recognized and respected for their own. and smps themselves have horrible ratios, my favorite is hermitcraft but 5(4?) out of 27 is less then 20 percent! that's terrible! there's so many wonderful women ccs out there yet so little space is made for them. 2(3? idk squiddo's gender) out of 31 is the ratio for lifesteal 6. i dont need to point out how bad that is.

so to get an ask with "I just don't think that the vibes are going to be right with her there" put me really on edge. it's putting the fault on her, and it's ignoring that there was a group of lifestealers who already agreed that she was a good fit because she's on the smp! she's on the team! the difference between "the vibes arent going to be right with her there" and "they can't reach her level" is huge. but you know lifesteal better then me. if you say they cant match her energy i believe you! but if it's true, her and lifesteal dont work out because she did put her all in and they didnt that is still completely different from the thesis of your original ask

ive turned off the reblogs of the other post but i hope moving forward we can be more critical and careful with how we treat our women creators. there's already so little space for them in creator spaces let's not push them out of community spaces too.

ECorridor isn’t keen on killing, but Pentar has been killing (usually weaker) players while E is offline. E doesn’t know about this yet. 

To commit fully to the deception, Pentar has been removing his new hearts when E logs on.

Spacewaffles

Have been building at spawn (+ killed by the Empire at spawn)

Bacon was forcefully inducted into Quickdrop Daycare a few days ago

Attempted to trap the end portal. This backfired when Leo attacked Zam at the portal and they set off the trap, killing Zam as well as Leo and Kab

The Sticklers

Jumper has had an interesting week. She was one of the first deaths, killed by Spoke dropping a dripstone on her. 

Her base was found 3 times, so she has had to move 3 times. She was also spawn-killed and stalked by Clown (assumedly because he failed to kill her at the end of Season 5).

Despite this, she has a good relationship with some of the Empire (mainly Minute), calling them to help her when Clown found her base.

Jumper plans to build a megabuild at spawn that involves a massive tree suspended above a huge void hole

Zam

Wanted to be a pacifist this season

Spent a lot of the first few days with no armour (?)

Was spawn killed by Mapicc three times in revenge for Zam managing to escape him while naked

Accidentally killed by Spacewaffles using their trap before the End Fight

More recently has a closet in his house which contains a monster (?) (implied to be Joker Zam, who Zam is very afraid of)

Planet took off their armour when Zam was shooting at him, causing Zam to break his vow of non-violence by accidentally killing them.

Since then, Zam has been sending Spepticle threatening whispers in the in-game chat, saying that Zam could kill him and no one would believe Spep. Zam is canonically sleepwalking when he says this.

Pangi

Not teamed with anyone yet this season, but still often found with Zam. The two of them are responsible for most of the builds at spawn.

Found a pink sheep called Greg, which is simultaneously a very terrifying eldritch entity / god which wants to consume all of Lifesteal. Pangi has built him a church.

Poafa

Hasn’t streamed yet, but uploaded two videos to twitter: one claiming that Clown has the mace, and another revealing the first video was faked and just revenge for his murder at Clown’s hands

So. Hear me out. Clown is still the overarching villain of the series. Whatever's happening with Kyle and the void is still """""important"""""" n stuff, but (totally not because i'm biased or anything (i totally am)) that's all a red herring covering up the real threat. The idea I have rn is that Clown is biding his time and finishing up whatever research he had on the void, then when Kyle is defeated, he's gonna swoop in, take the void for himself, and become basically unstoppable which'll lead into season 3 or smth.

Bits Of Info That Makes The Pepe Silvia Meme Cover Relevant

Time to be insane and dump every single bit of potential evidence on why I think Clown's a bigger threat than the others think he is, starting at the very beginning (i'll try to keep this as chronological as possible but i'm busting my brain trying to piece everything together i watched this so out of order at first).

First, obviously, is the whole him killing Pyro bit and betraying him to get to Rae, then killing everyone in the commune. hoWEVER bro just casually tore open a portal to the nether and back and none of the other people in the group can do that. It's kinda hinting that Muu knows how to make portals but other than that the original s1 group has been stuck there since the start (which maybe suggests Muu isn't from this dimension also but that's another thing to unpackage).

a side note here: lincu came from an end portal that clown made for maddy and they NEVER BRING THAT UP AGAIN????????? WHAT

In the Pyro POV that came after that, it was heavily suggested that Clown was originally a conqueror or insanely destructive pillager (not the actual mob) (like come on, "bow before the scythe emblem" or whatever the words are? just write your name in the book you're practically screaming it at this point). Then, when Branzy showed up in that cameo episode, he didn't shut up about how Clown destroyed entire villages and killed a fuck ton of people (i will scream more about this point in a second 😁).

In the Season 2 opener animatic, he dropped his manipulative buddy buddy act the moment the void appeared, stabbed Kaboodle, and fucked off. He was also shown going full aggro on Magic, trying to get information about the void from her. A little while later, he's shown reading books on the void and finds something "perfect" for whatever he's planning (brain explosion).

Looping back to the Branzy cameo, it was revealed that he, Branzy, and Ashswag worked together in a laboratory somewhere in a different dimension researching and experimenting with portals. Ashswag said that Clown pushed him into one they made, which resulted in him glitched out and broken (WHICH OPENS UP ANOTHER CAN OF WORMS ARE THEY SUGGESTING THAT THIS IS ALL ACTUALLY JUST A SIMULATION/GAME LIKE HOW MINECRAFT ACTUALLY IS???????????? holy shit if i think about this for too long i'm gonna have another huge scream fest again).

and THEN in the most recent one as of today (aka A New Issue) it's revealed that Pyro had his suspicions that Clown is otherworldly and unnatural. Bro casually soloed a 100-Piglin invasion. I already had the thought of "oh yeah this guy's definitely not from any of the three dimensions" but the only contradictory thing that popped up for that was he and Pyro used to live together for a bit with the Waste Walkers. HOWEVER with this new information that Clown was just this anomaly that popped up periodically in their group, he's practically screaming that he's not from any of the three dimensions.

hi i wanted to get into life steal smp is it story driven or is it more for funsies or a mix. How would you describe it? And would I need to start from season 1 or season 2 or can I go straight to season 6?

lifesteal is really dependent on each creator's style! some, like princezam or kaboodle, are more likely to have story driven streams or videos. people like pangi usually do goofy stream bits turned into goofy videos. squiddo narrates the lifesteal story in a silly lens. each creator has their own style so my best recommendation is to find whoever fits yours!

my starting point was on youtube with clownpierce, but i also recommend vitalasy, rekrap, planetlord, and roshambogames. jumperwho or minutetech if you wanna get deep into the season 5 of things. squiddo lifesteal videos are a must watch

you dont need to start from season 1 to watch lifesteal (its better if you dont season 1 is very .missing from the history of things). id say the best starting points to get familiarized with the shape of lifesteal is season 3 or season 5, which both have videos. if youre particularly interested in the princezam pov, season 4 is a beast of its own and he just released a video on season 6 so you could jump straight into his streams with some context along with them already

A new fandom this month! Showtime SMP is new, bringing this up to 49 tags that I track.

Fics are still primarily in english, but we have three exceptions with significant spanish fics. Karmaland (750 of 857 are in spanish, from 740 last month), Tortillaland (109 of 115 are in spanish, down from 110 last month), and QSMP (827 of 8104 are in spanish, from 752 last month.)

QSMP also shows 43 fics in French, up from 39 last month, and 452 in Brasilian Portugese, up from 405 last month. While I did not check every language this month, I checked on the languages I knew had a fic in QSMP and we see 1 fic in ASL (probably a misclick as it appears to be in english), 1 fic in Bahasa Malaysia, 1 fic in Dansk (Danish), 1 fic in Deutsch (German), 1 fic in Esperanto, 1 fic in Filipino, 5 works in European Portugese, 2 fics in Polski (Polish), 7 fics in Русский (Russian) (up from 5 last month), 1 fic in Suomi (Finnish), 1 fic in Svenska (Swedish), 1 fic in Tiếng Việt (Vietnamese), and 3 fics in 中文-普通话 國語 (Mandarin Chinese, I believe). While a 한국어 (Korean) speaker was recently added to the QSMP, there are currently no fics in 한글 (written Korean).

In the small and micro-sized fandoms, several of the smaller fandoms posted a decrease, including Legacy SMP, Bear SMP, and Area Unknown. HBG, on the other hand, posted a frankly impressive 16-fic increase, and both New Life and Witchcraft saw a 8-fic increase.

In the mid-sized fandoms, the showstopper was Minecraft Diaries, which went up a staggering 140 fics, which makes me suspect a sub-tag got wrangled into them. Pirates SMP and Outsiders SMP both saw 20 fic increases, and Mystreet saw an increase of 24 fics.

In the post-canon big fandoms, Empires went up by 188 works, which is an increase on both January's 178 and December's 117, but not beating November's 240. Dream SMP's increase of 591 works is the single lowest number I've seen since I've started tracking tags, being exceeded by both January's 918 and December's 767, which were the first months I'd seen the increase being lower than a thousand. 3rd Life, now that we're outside of a season, posted a respectable 558 fics, down from last month's record high of 831.

In the currently airing big fandoms, Hermitcraft saw that new-season boom, as it posted 716 fics, not as high as January's 784 (holiday exchanges), but beating both December and November's 574 and 651. QSMP posted 729 fics this month, which is part of a four-month decline (865 last month, 894 the month before, 913 the month before), but is still the fandom with the single biggest increase over a month. Incidentally, that means that Dream SMP is beat by both Hermitcraft and QSMP this month, and 3rd life is close behind it.

Overall, the number of fics posted under Video Blogging-RPF (the umbrella fandom that contains all MCYT), is 3,513 fics, down from January's 4,223, December's 3,489, and November's 4,035. Incidentally, it's very close to what we saw last year at the same time, as February '23 saw a VB RPF increase of 3,674.
