Vyn!! Omg, hiii, pookie!! Thank you for the ask and it’s not a weird question at all!! I like to think about these things lol!!

Okay, okay, so this is what I imagine it's like (and I'm sorry for the way I wrote it out, but once I started replying my writing mode activated) in privacy because I think Miguel def appreciates his and your privacy, so this would be when you’re alone!

Miguel loves having your body pressed to his, to have your warmth combine with his own. He always wraps an arm around your waist, keeping you close. He squeezes your body gently and then caresses you, feeling your soft body. He uses his free hand to either cup your face, or to tilt your chin up so he can have better access to your face. Sometimes, if he’s not in a hurry, or like, just overwhelmed with the need to kiss you, he takes his sweet time to press soft and tender kisses to your cheeks, forehead, and nose before he finally kisses your lips.

When Miguel finally kisses you, his arm tightens around you instinctively! He hums in satisfaction when your lips connect at last, his eyes closed. It’s slow kissing because Miguel loves being able to truly appreciate your lovely lips. At some point, his hand holding your face moves to the back of your neck to keep your head close to his, not wanting to part from you any time soon. Maybe his fingers move to your hair (if you’re okay with that based on your type of hair) and grab a gentle fistful to keep you close, growing hazy in the heaven that’s your lips.

It’s all very gentle and sweet, with so much love!!! I think Miguel eventually seeks entrance to your mouth because he wants to taste and explore you, no matter how many times he’s done it in the past. He gently and silently asks for access to your mouth by swiping his tongue over your lip and when you grant him access, another noise of satisfaction comes from him. When you finally break the kiss to breathe, he presses his forehead to yours and sighs out of pure happiness, still holding you close to him.

yeah yeah trick weekes says whatever about it not making sense that solas couldnt sneak off THEY FAILED TO CONSIDER that maybe he just is ass at it when he gets invested. much like. the whole fucking rest of the romance where he COMPLETELY fails to resist until the breakup.

anyway.

im personally of the opinion that he's more liable to slip up - fail at sneaking, accidentally reveal details, contradict himself - when he actually makes bonds with people. which is why after trespasser he goes and lives alone in the lighthouse for ten years but i digress.

and i think "that", the bonds tripping him up, should be reflected in his exit from the Inquisition. you're enemies or neutral, yeah he just vanishes. there's nothing to keep him there, nothing to interfere with his plans and intentions. you're (ex)lovers? i think he still would pull back purposefully and probably vanish, but there would be definite hesitation. he would have to force himself to do so, because fuck, he wants to stay. he wants to be close to you. but he also, crucially, knows that you have a dangerous sway over him, so he MUST disengage. if you're friends, it takes him some effort. because he does like you, he doesn't want to do what he has to, it's been so long since he had people who were friends to him, and he doesn't have to force himself away because he's in too deep. he knows you would worry about him. he might not be willing to give anyone the truth - but he would owe you a goodbye, at the very least. especially if you weren't the type to try to convince him to stay.

when he walks through the front door, you notice the happy go lucky expression on his face fall immediately as the muscles finally relax, like the effort to keep them in place is exhausting on its own. the corner of his mouth perks up in the smallest grin, and relief washes over him when he makes eye contact you. he immediately swoops in for the biggest, warmest hug and his fatigued voice drops an octave as he mumbles a hello into your shoulder. he’ll snuggle up right next to you when you’re in bed, nuzzling his nose into the crook of your neck with his arms entangled around your waist as he lays his head softly on your chest. he closes his eyes and relaxes against your touch when you play with his hair, gently breathing as he gradually drifts off into sleep.   

yes, he can be goofy, and idiotic, and too loud, and overly dramatic, and childish...but he desperately craves these quiet, peaceful moments with you.

See, I hold back when I write. It could be far angstier than it is. I could be handing out forehead kisses left and right. Forehead kisses as someone cries and bleeds after a battle. Delirious from blood loss and pain and needing reassurance. Forehead kisses when they know their squadmate is going to die. A parting gift. One last way to comfort them, to remind them they’re loved.

I’m just saying I could make things more painful than they already are.

i imagine it's one of the first times you help him out and so you're still not really used to it. it's all going smooth and you think you're finally starting to get the hang of it, when suddenly you hear him suck in a breath. the reaction is enlarged by 1000 in your head because in reality he barely even reacts and there's barely even a little drop of blood, but to you it's like you gave him a full on stab wound in his chest… pepe just looks himself in the mirror and goes "oh" before wetting a towel and cleaning himself up. but you freeze, just blinking up at him and feeling your pulse increase instantly because… you just made him bleed…..

he doesn't even notice your reaction at first – because, again, it's not a big deal to him – but when he does, his eyes soften as they land on him and he instantly cups your cheeks in his hands. he's very "what's wrong? hey, it's alright – i'm not even bleeding anymore! don't cry, please, seeing you in tears hurts more than the cut…" and all kinds of words of comfort just to calm you down :( and then he has to promise you like 10 times that he indeed is alright and give you 100 little kisses to make you feel good again 🥺

FIRST OFF, ANON, I am ALWAYS taking prompts. It just might take me time to get to them sometimes bc I work a job that can be INCREDIBLY exhausting. BUT HONESTLY love a good prompt about aftercare. This might not QUITE be what you expected, it's more discussions of aftercare than ACTUAL aftercare but y'know. There will be more when I finish the fic I'm working on...which I ACTUALLY GET TO USE THIS FOR BECAUSE Y'KNOW I'm just like that.

Landoscar and discussions of aftercare/sub-drop under the cut

“So…what do you need? Like…for aftercare?” The question is halfway tentative, like Lando second-guesses himself before asking it, and Oscar wonders if he’s just not sure how to bring it up, Oscar’s sub-drop from the other day, how to prevent it. And really, at the crux of it, Oscar’s not really sure. He’s never had partners that he’s gotten to explore this part of himself with. His small pool of ex-girlfriends haven’t been interested in the version of him that Lando gets, the version of him that’s stripped bare and revealed. They’ve never taken control away like Lando likes to do, haven’t peeled him away to his barest parts. 

Oscar focuses on the pull of Lando’s fingers through his hair, the place where Lando’s finger brushes along the inside of his wrist, breathes in deep and lets his eyes shutter closed. He doesn’t know what he needs, aside from to feel grounded, to feel valued, to have Lando wrapped around him so he forgets where Lando’s body ends and his body begins. He hasn’t thought about all the ways that he wants someone else to care for him, after he’s been pulled apart and stitched back together. 

“I dunno,” Oscar murmurs the words, easier for him to say now that he can’t see Lando gazing down at him. “Never really thought about it,” he shrugs, and Lando’s fingers tighten in his hair minutely, before softening again, and he makes a noise in the back of his throat, vaguely disapproving. 

Oscar can’t help but feel like he’s failed some sort of test, and he opens one eye to meet Lando’s gaze again, raises a brow and Lando just shakes his head. “Look, I’ve never done this before. Your guess is as good as mine,” it’s unintentionally defensive, hackles raised for no reason. It’s just Lando, it’s just them. “Osc,” Lando’s voice is soft, soft, soft, and Oscar just turns his face to nuzzle into Lando’s thigh. “What,” Oscar’s tone is still a little prickly, feels out of his depth, doesn’t know how to talk about it. 

He’s never been good at this, at talking about things. 

“Osc, can you look at me?” Lando asks, and the gentleness in his tone hasn’t changed, but there’s a hint of a command there, enough to make Oscar squirm a little bit, enough to make his cheeks heat up. He can’t truly stop himself from listening, because when Lando asks him like this, he’s drawn to obey. Tilts his head back up to meet Lando’s gaze, wishes that he could shrink away from the intensity he feels directed at him. Twists his wrist to break it free from the shackle of Lando’s fingers, before he grabs Lando’s hand in his own, twines their fingers together, to stop himself from doing something stupid, like picking at the skin of his fingers until they bleed. “I just don’t want something to happen, like the other day,” Lando finally verbalizes the words that they’ve both been thinking, the thing that they’ve both left unsaid. “Clearly, you need something that I wasn’t able to provide you with, last time,” 

And really, there’s a part of Oscar that it’s pretty sure what they’re lacking right now is communication. There’s still this nasty unsteadiness, trying to define what they are through the layers of whatever they’re building between themselves, whatever the nature of their relationship is. He knows there’s more to it than that, but he’s never been good at feeling like he’s off-balance, has never been good at being one step behind. 

“Lando,” he doesn’t mean for his voice to come out hoarse, has to swallow hard before he starts again, “That’s not because you didn’t do enough. It’s just…” he trails off, because he doesn’t know what else to say. 

“It’s because we haven’t talked about it,” Lando says, earnestly. “That’s on me, I know. But that can’t be the only reason,”

got may have made the adults feel better about liking fantasy, but lotr got into the kids' heads when they (we) were just young and impressionable enough to be absolutely transported and emotionally rewritten by don't you leave him, samwise gamgee and my brother, my captain, my king and and rohan will answer

lotr was rewriting entire generations' brain chemistry long before asoiaf and so obviously it's not fair to compare any post-lotr fantasy novel to it, and each book series was trying to do different things within their own spheres and so that also is not a fair comparison, but in terms of the cultural impact of the adaptations that came out within a decade of each other, saying that it was game of thrones that made fantasy mainstream is baffling

for me, i think it was the updated proposal scene, where gale kneels to kiss the protag's hand. the dichotomy of alton viewing his hands as bloodied beyond forgiveness and gale kneeling down (on his poor bad knees) to gently kiss them just about did me in. esp in conjunction with alton kissing the mark of the orb. accepting each other's dark parts. the things you consider ugly. the acceptance of the self and the other.

aki just gets carried away sometimes... he's gentle and sweet and patient with you, but he loves you so much, he'll hug you too tight for too long when he comes home and you have to remind him to let go of you. he'll kiss your lips until neither of you can breathe and you'll push him away a bit to give you both some breathing room. to everyone else, aki is reserved and serious, but when he's around you, he's smiley and giddy, he just wants to hold you and kiss you and pinch you and touch you because his love for you is overwhelming...

I love thinking about the physical affection aspect of Worf/Jadzia/Julian because youve got Worf who won't go out of his way to initiate physical affection but then youve got Jadzia and Julian who are all about the touchy feely and Worf doesnt, like, mind this and lets them do what they want so he just has them clinging to him at all times. Worf is trying to sit and eat and he has to do so around Jadzia who is perched in his lap and Julian is hanging over his shoulders like a scarf. he's walking somewhere and the both of them are hanging off his arms. getting out of bed in the morning is an entire ordeal because he is sandwiched between the two of them. cant hand him shit because his hands are always being held. they are so goddamn obstructive but Worf just lets them do their thing because its not worth the argument and also he maybe (definitely) likes the affection
