Currently writing the hospital section in Chapter 2 and guys... it feels so strange.

Firstly, it brings back a lot of memories, some better, some worse. But it's also so odd writing about something I wasn't "supposed" to talk about when it happened. Staying at a psych ward was made out to be this dark, dangerous thing (at least in my time, and I'm still rather young actually) that people (me, I am people) were discouraged from talking about because it might make others uncomfortable.

And now the story has moved on to that section and I'm writing it and it's weird idk

me talking to someone in my office and the conversation takes a turn to TV shows. Naturally, I mention I love Supernatural.

Them: oh the Winchester brothers. I love Dean.

Me: you watched it too? Great! I'm a Sam Girl

Them: but Dean is so hot

Me: so is Sam and I love him for the complexities of his character

Them: *clearly irritated I'm still on Sam's side.. don't know why they expected me to flip on their 'Dean is so hot' point. Good for him, I guess? * oh..but you know Sam is actually.. * goes on to tell me why Sam is not the better choice based on all wrong assumptions *

Me: 🙄 yeah, I'm Sam Girl forever..

Them: *still confused. about what? I have no clue *

Sweetie, you don't get to "Sam is actually.." me. I know Sam. I have studied every minute expression of Sam. I know all the good and all the bad there is to this character. I can present you 20 reasons for why I love Sam against your every 'Sam is selfish' or other random arguments.

So, uhh, a few hours ago, my family & I passed by the Catholic church in our neighborhood as usual after eating out for dinner. The whole church was just dark. Their only light (aside from the neighbors' lights) was a campfire they made at the front at their only parking area and people were just standing around it with the priests in full white robes holding something. Ngl, it looked a little creepy. lol Even my former-Catholic mom finds it unusual because this was something the church has never really done before (I think) for Holy Week. I'm wondering if this is a new thing all Catholic churches are doing rn or if it's just this one.

Sometimes I envision there would be an announcement from kieron that he's finally retiring from hollyoaks. He would act out his exit storyline. Sometimes I envisioned his exit storyline would be one lost on screen row of sorts with Brendan but his last scene remains the same.

Ste would be wearing his little jumpsuit, a bag pack on one shoulder with a duffle bag in hand walking along that little square on his way out. In the distance there would be Brendan/Emmett standing in front of a black cab, in that large gray coat Brendan owns with his hands in his pockets. His hair is long and all pepper grayed-beard just standing there looking at Ste/Kieron. He looks disheveled yet resolved in some way. There aren't any words really exchanged, just a look of longing and home. Sometimes I envision Brendan just saying to Ste "let's go home" but it's usually not actually voiced, just like resolution in some way. Kieron's just happy to see an old friend smiling at Emmett's out stretched hand.

He just grabs his hand firmly, Brendan takes Ste's duffle bag in one hand and they enter the cab, driving off in the distance as the camera pans out to the wide road ahead.

Butter fried Scarlet Elf Mushroom

These bright red mushrooms tend to grow on the dead woods and branches, near rivers and mashes. They are slightly firm in texture, with a layer of skin on the grills that need to be removed in order to clean off the dirt.

I simply fried them with a teaspoon of butter, and pinch of sugar and salt over high heat, until til they shrink. Fry them in bacon fat is also very delicious.

I was really young when I first saw Two Towers.. I was trying to tell my brother something about Eomer but I couldn't remember his name and my brother wasn't sure who I was talking about. So I said "the guy with the angry eyebrows" and then he immediately knew I meant Eomer.

These days I would say something more like intense (brooding, smoldering, bold, dramatic) eyebrows, but I don't think I was wrong then either. Just sharing because I like to talk about Eomer.

Any other fitting words for Eomer's eyebrows are welcome and encouraged.
