Baby Jon not knowing which is which as he follows Damian the most thinking it’s you. He’s crawling after an angry baby. You just sat there babbling away as Damian sped crawls like a damn demons wanting to get away from the half kryptonian boy. As Damian speeds by you, Jon was gonna pass you until he realized Damian was you.

Eyes shining in happiness, he goo’s at you. Immediately hugging the adorable twin. Damian looks behind him, huffing in annoyance as he sees his twin getting smothered by the super. Jonathan rubs his chubby cheek against your own.

Damian growls, immediately speeding his crawling sped as he bull rushes Jon with his big bobble head. Making Jon blankly stare up at the ceiling. On his back, with his big head he cannot get up. Damian then just plops by his twin who just calmly watched that go down.

Now some Vampire Lore, which explains why Lucy mainly attacks children and is Voluptuous. Other than children being a much easier, vulnerable target for a new vampire, especially at night, and vampires being attractive to lure people to them:

One of Stoker's primary sources was Ármin Vámbéry, a Hungarian-Jewish traveler and orientalist. Van Helsing even gives him a shout-out in the book later. Stoker consulted him a lot about the legends in the Balkans and Austria-Hungary (which Transylvania was part of at the time).

Dracula is heavily based on the area's Strigoi. And partly on the Estries (who are associated with the Succubi: Beautiful, blood-thirsty female demons, with succubi thought to favor babies and young children as prey.) The Strigoi are closer to what we know as vampires due to them rising from the grave, or being created by something unholy. So Lucy turned into a child-drinking succubus.

The Strigoi and Estries both:

Gain vitality by drinking human blood

Can shapeshift

Influence people's minds

Mainly feed on infants and children

the Strigoi also target young girls, the Estries target all genders but mostly men

On the child feeding, Wilhelm Schmidt reports in 1865 the tradition "upon the birth of a child, when one tosses a stone behind oneself and exclaims "This into the mouth of the strigoi!" Note the stones found in the skulls of people suspected to have been vampires.

There are striking similarities between them and the Estries. Note the common "strix" root. Screaming is also a feature that they have, which is similar to the banshee.

More about the Count and less about Lucy: The Strigoi are associated with sorcery, which is very relevant in Dracula, as he used to be a sorcerer of Scholomance. The Strigoi influence people's minds, especially those who are ill, have sleeping issues, suffer from alcoholism, and more. This is shown by Dracula's influence on the sleepwalking Lucy and on Renfield.

First image is pretty much just straight up fan art of a fan fiction I found, with the Eye making Jon the archive early but also mentoring him and very much pushing him to prey on people, which I haven't seen before and I adore?? Like the idea of Jon being raised to be a proper avatar that has no qualms with hunting people is very fun. (it's right here if you'd like to read.)

The second is just my imagination running away with how he might end up. I'm picturing him not running into Elias, the eye helping him terrorize foster parents until he gets a family that gives him an allowance and doesn't hurt him but is just neglectful enough that they can hunt down people with statements on weekends. Him ending up with truly no friends at all but the eye cause he just, stopped really caring about people at some point, but he's good at faking enough to ask his questions. He's kind of like an eye themed Simon Fairchild. Happy with himself but not truly friendly, just a smiling shark. (I like to think he does have some positive interactions with a couple other fear avatars. Fears that get worse if you feel seen but not helped leaving him with the occasional witness to feed on.)

Congrats on finishing the Born Archivist AU, @sieveyourtea !

Just a little Child of Illumination doodle based on a funny tshirt to celebrate the completion of Sieve's very long series (I still need to catch up, but I am certain that this is totally within the tone of how things end. Not a doubt in my mind 🙂).

So ok, it’s amazing growth on the part of Lockwood to speak with Skull and thank him as he would a living person, when you consider Lockwood’s rage and grief always prevented him from seeing Visitors as conscious beings. But it’s interesting that it comes right after he examines Marissa’s “living remains”.

And it’s amazing growth on the part of Skull to save Lockwood just after this at all.

Because while Skull clearly loves and has a close bond with Lucy, he has no loyalty or love for Lockwood and he didn’t have to save them both. A more selfish and possessive thing to do would have been to separate Lucy from the Lockwood-and-Marissa-slapfight and just let the two be killed by the charge. Then Skull would have had a grieving Lucy all to himself. But right there in Marissa's office Skull just saw what happened to humans who bond too closely with a powerful spirit and how it warps the living into dead.  

So he saved the only person who could stand between him and Lucy and protect her from him. Skull is possessive of his relationship with Lucy, but in the end not to the point of hurting her.

I've been having a blast with this game. There's definitely been some...moments. Which add to the riddler and scarecrow lore I collect in my head. Especially scarecrow revealed some things I didn't know about him. I'll be making a separate post about that 👀
