14 I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, 15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd.

John 10:14-16 NLT 14 âI am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me, 15 just as my Father knows me and I know the Father. So I sacrifice my life for the sheep. 16 I have other sheep, too, that are not in this sheepfold. I must bring them also. They will listen to my voice, and there will be one flock with one shepherd.
John 10:27-30 NLT 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, 29 for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Fatherâs hand. 30 The Father and I are one.â

Romans 8:10 (NLT). âAnd Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God.â
Galatians 2:20 (NLT). âMy old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.â
John 14:15-17 (NASB2020). âIf you love Me, you will keep My commandments. The Holy Spirit I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, so that He may be with you forever; the Helper is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him; but you know Him because He remains with you and will be in you.â
Ephesians 3:16-19 (NLT). âI pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into Godâs love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all Godâs people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.â
There is much more about God in you on the Blog (link below). Amen! đđď¸đ

Line Upon Line Lesson 066: Bread from Heaven
Exodus 16:14-16 - And when the layer of dew lifted, there, on the surface of the wilderness, was a small round substance, as fine as frost on the ground. So when the children of Israel saw it, they said to one another, âWhat is it?â For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, âThis is the bread which the Lord has given you to eat. This is the thing which the Lord has commanded: âLet every man gather it according to each oneâs need, one omer for each person, according to the number of persons; let every man take for those who are in his tent.â â
ââGod provided food for the children of Israel during their wanderings in the wilderness. When the Israelites first saw manna, they were not sure what it was. What lessons was God trying to teach them with the miracle of the manna?
Letâs read together Exodus 16:17-21; Matthew 6:11; and Philippians 4:19.
God was teaching the children of Israel to depend upon Him daily. Even today this is not an easy lesson for us to learn.
Letâs read together Genesis 2:2-3; Exodus 16:22-30; and Mark 2:27-28.
Many people mistakenly believe the Sabbath was only for the Jews. God was reminding the children of Israel to keep the Sabbath even before they got to Mount Sinai. Jesus Himself said that the Sabbath was for man, as in everyone.
Letâs read together Exodus 16:32-34; Deuteronomy 8:3; Matthew 4:4; and John 6:35.
The most important lesson God wanted to teach the children of Israel was that they needed spiritual food as well as physical food. Today we know that the manna pointed to Jesus, the bread of life. We read the Bible daily to learn more of Jesus and his life.
Friend, will you live by the word of God daily?

God looks on the heart is often used as a comforting verse and there is much truth to that but let us remember that if we harbor evil in our heart God will judge that.
But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Matthew 5:28
Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
1 John 3:15
For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Isaiah 14:13
But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.
1 Samuel 16:7
I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
Jeremiah 17:10

âHe put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the LORD and put their trust in him.â Psalm 40:3 I am sure many of us have witnessed two distinct ways of singing a song and playing an instrument; and one appears to be more of a gift or an acquired gift than the other. The only true difference being if he had to use those ass whoopin' abilities or not.

"I'm Not Good Enough" is Only One of the Lies
âIâm not good enoughâ is only one of the lies we tell ourselves. Moreover, this is what I told myself most of my life along with other lies like âYouâre not good enoughâ, âYouâll never amount to anythingâ, âYouâre too fatâ, âYouâre not pretty enoughâ, and the like. What Lies Do You Tell Yourself? I guess the point that Iâm trying to make is that these are lies. So, why did I continue to believeâŚ

Unlimited Atonement

The Stifled Walk to Christ (250) â June 15 2024
Play on other Podcast Apps Since eternal life is defined by John in John 17:3 as the need to know God the Father and His Son Jesus, we identify some of the blockages that can stifle us in walking in a deeper relationship with the Lord. Saturday Before Good Friday: Ten Days That Changed the World
Yesterday, we began a day-by-day look at the Passion Week, so our âweekâ is actually ten days, starting BEFORE Palm Sunday⌠Here are some observations about the Saturday before Good Friday, which would have been eight days before Easter. It is a quiet Saturday, a sabbath, so there is no mention of any activity until we read Johnâs account of Supper at Bethany. Eyewitness Account (Johnâs GospelâŚ

âIf you love me, obey my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isnât looking for him and doesnât recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. No, I will not abandon you as orphansâI will come to you. Soon the world will no longer see me, but you will see me. Since I live, you also will live. When I am raised to life again, you will know that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.â âJohn 14:15â-âŹ21 (NLT)
âBut I have said these things to you, that when their hour comes you may remember that I told them to you. âI did not say these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you. But now I am going to him who sent me, and none of you asks me, âWhere are you going?â But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer; concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. âI still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you. âJohn 16:4â-âŹ15 (ESV)
âThis is the new covenant I will make with my people on that day, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.â âHebrews 10:16 (NLT)
âWho Is The Holy Spirit?â Devotional. Day 3 - âJesus Promised to Give You the Holy Spiritâ By Switch (Life.Church):
âCan you imagine trying to send a group text using pen, paper, and the post office? Imagine writing out letters by hand to your five closest friends, buying stamps, stuffing envelopes, and mailing them to five different addresses. After waiting for two or three days, the letters would start arriving at your friendsâ houses. Then, each would respond with a letter of their own, making copies for each person in the group and waiting a few more days for each reply. Whew! Iâm exhausted just thinking about it. It seems silly since you can accomplish the same thing in a few seconds using your smartphone.
The Holy Spirit works sort of like that. He makes it possible for Jesus to communicate with every single one of His followers in real time across the globe. Jesus could only be in one place at a time. His first disciples didnât know much about the Holy Spirit or His purpose. Thatâs why Jesus spent His last days on earth preparing them for His death. They didnât know He was about to die, and they certainly didnât understand why. So, instead of trying to dump His entire plan on them all at once, He made them a promise.
He said that when He left Heâd send someone else in His placeâthe Holy Spirit. Jesus wasnât saying that they would be trading their relationship with Him in exchange for the Spirit. Instead, the Holy Spirit would come alongside them and help them understand everything Jesus had taught. Plus, the Holy Spirit could teach them new things as they learned to hear His voice.
When the Holy Spirit came, He would lead them to the truth. He wouldnât have His own agenda, but He would be totally committed to completing Jesusâ mission on earth. In fact, the Holy Spirit would do everything to bring honor to Jesus. He would relay messages straight from Jesus into the hearts and minds of all His followers. But, hereâs the best news of all: That promise wasnât just for the disciples who were sitting around that night. It was also for you!
Think about how that changed the game. Before Jesus gave us access to the Holy Spirit, Jesus was the single source of information, and He was limited to physically being in one place at a time. He had to spread His message one crowd at a time. But, when the Holy Spirit made His home in the heart of every believer, Jesusâ message was engraved into our hearts.
Now, without cell towers or smartphones, the Holy Spirit can speak directly into our hearts and minds. Tomorrow, weâll begin to explore His amazing power thatâs available to us any time or place.â

âWHEN THE JOURNEY WITH JESUS GETSÂ HARDâ
Luke 24:13-19, âThat same day two of them were walking to the village Emmaus, about seven miles out of Jerusalem. They were deep in conversation, going over all these things that had happened. In the middle of their talk and questions, Jesus came up and walked along with them. But they were not able to recognize who He was. He asked, âWhatâs this youâre discussing so intently as you walk along?ââŚ
