The Day After... Everyone is Irish
Weiss was trying to talk with Pyrrha as the Mistralian Champion waited outside JNPR and RWBY's dorms for the return of her partner, and his sister.
Apparently even though their name was Valian in origin, the pair of fraternal twins through their mother's side was predisposed to celebrate the 17th of the third month...
Pyrrha: I'm sorry, but...
Weiss: Are you worried about that dol... I'm mean Jaune and his sister? They are old enough to take care of themselves.
Pyrrha: But they've been gone since yesterday morning. I'm wo...
Jaune/Joan: (drunkenly singing... LOUDLY) What will we do with a drunken sailor? What will we do with a drunken sailor? What will we do with a drunken sailor? Early in the morning!
Pyrrha: Jaune? Joan?
Weiss : are... are they STILL DRINKING?!?
Jaune and Joan stumbled about arms over each other's shoulders, each holding a bottle of... something... probably highly alcoholic
Jaune/Joan: Way hay and up she rises Way hay and up she rises Way hay and up she rises Early in the morning!
Joan: Shave his belly with a rusty razor Shave his belly with a rusty razor Shave his belly with a rusty razor Early in the morning!
Wiess / Pyrrha: ...
Jaune/Joan: Way hay and up she rises Way hay and up she rises Way hay and up she rises Early in the morning!
Jaune: Put him in a long boat till his sober Put him in a long boat till his sober Put him in a long boat till his sober Early in the morning!
Jaune/Joan: Way hay and up she rises Way hay and up she rises Way hay and up she rises Early in the morning!
Joan: Stick him in a scupper with a hosepipe bottom Stick him in a scupper with a hosepipe bottom Stick him in a scupper with a hosepipe bottom Early in the morning!
Jaune/Joan: Way hay and up she rises Way hay and up she rises Way hay and up she rises Early in the morning!
By this point the intoxicated pair have reached the stunned Weiss and Pyrrha. Joan sticks her tongue out at Jaune and then shoves him off to stumble into Pyrrha... who he grabs by the waist and starts spinning her around as if dancing...
Pyrrha: EEP!
Joan: Put him in the bed with the captains daughter Put him in the bed with the captains daughter Put him in the bed with the captains daughter Early in the morning!
Jaune/Joan: Way hay and up she rises Way hay and up she rises Way hay and up she rises Early in the morning!
Weiss: Unhand me!
As Jaune continued to spin and sway with Pyrrha, Joan stumbled over and scooped Wiess into a princess Carry, and began to spin about with her... all the while the pair continued to sing... drunkenly and loudly...
Jaune/Joan: That's what we do with a drunken sailor That's what we do with a drunken sailor That's what we do with a drunken sailor Early in the morning!
The pair split off each moving towards a different dorm...
Jaune: Way hay and up she rises Way hay and up she rises Way hay and up she rises Early in the morning!
JNPR's door slams shut.
Joan: Way hay and up she rises Way hay and up she rises Way hay and up she rises Early in the morning!
RWBY's door slams shut.

Hi!! :)
I know you might be busy, but can I request some Parker and Lambert art? I’ve also been thinking about them a lot (other than Parker and Ripley) and I love them. I think they got a silly but really sweet dynamic going on, I love them too. 💙
(Honestly I kind of think about the Nostromo Crew a lot in general)
Tumblr media
got two requests for lambert and parker so i combined them into one post... i love these guys

March in books (so far) / buddy reading with V @adhyayana-v, ordered a copy of Stuart Gilbert’s study of Ulysses on a whim lmao, restarting Woman Running in the Mountains, and rereading a few of Didion’s essays

Do writers actually have a plot in mind or will Pike every so often just bonk with Batel and ignore the fact that he almost lost Una I wonder

Call The Midwife
BBC One and BBC iPlayer
Call The Midwife’s 2023 Christmas Special begins two weeks before Christmas, with Apollo 8 poised to circle the moon. Sister Monica Joan (Judy Parfitt) is convinced this could be her final Yuletide and decides she’ll not live to see man walk on the moon. The Nonnatus Family, including Trixie’s (Helen George) brother Geoffrey (Christopher Harper), decide something must be done to try and lighten her state of mind. Nancy (Megan Cusack) has recommitted to staying at Nonnatus House and Sister Julienne (Jenny Agutter) has offered her and Colette (Francesca Fullilove) a room for the foreseeable future. Trixie and Matthew (Olly Rix), fresh from their honeymoon, are preparing their first Christmas together as husband and wife when Geoffrey pays them an unexpected visit days before Christmas. Cyril (Zephryn Taitte) gently intervenes when he discovers a lost soul living alone in a dilapidated basement flat. For this man, Christmas is a reminder of all he’s lost and all he’s never had. Nurse Crane (Linda Bassett), away on her refresher course, makes it home in time for Christmas festivities despite a treacherously heavy snowfall. Call The Midwife (1x90) is a Neal Street Productions for BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Executive producers for Neal Street Productions are Pippa Harris, Heidi Thomas and Ann Tricklebank, with Gaynor Holmes for the BBC.

That's the first time in a long time that call the midwife has reduced me to tears.

Listen to me. I'm like if Joan of Arc sucked. I'm like if Jesus was bad at carpentry. I'm like a beta fish who listens to too much Mitski. I'm like and subscribe. I'm like the moment before you hit the water. I'm like one grain of sand. I'm like if fake flowers could have children. I'm like if St. Patrick was canonized. I'm like glitter in the carpet. I'm like if crepe paper had thoughts.

Call the Midwife Ep 4
Some thoughts
So…
Moon landing !! Loved that so nice seeing Sister Monica Joan bursting with pure happiness.
TB … that poor family didn’t expect the death not going to lie. Yet no mention of the turners when it came to Shelagh and her Tb. I wasn’t that surprised because CtM and continuity aren’t exactly a match made in heaven
Nancy.. I’m glad she got what I’m hoping is some closure for her. Not knowing what has happened to you family must be hard and that just have helped with her grief process. Her protecting Collette at the end is totally understandable and justified and I’m pleased she got that beautiful storyline. But I feel it could have been tied into Shelaghs time with TB.
The Pupil midwives … that must have been hard for Joyce to come forward and tell the facts of what happened. The act of “telling on” other staff is still an issue the NHS faces today as well as many other workforces but she done the right thing. Although personally I would have called out Trixie before the events happened. Leaving to take a phone call for a start and then for clearly rushing.
Trixie … I’m taking her separately because I really felt for her this episode. Midwives make mistakes and it’s a horrible feeling knowing you have caused harm on a mother and that it could have been avoided.
Trixie and Matthew… I’m not willing to comment really. Because my blood is actually boiling. With the rumours of Olly Rix leaving the show I wonder if they are trying to make him unlikable so we don’t care if he ends up leaving. However he had no right expecting that of Trixie. CtM has showed the great changes in married women in the workforce way back from Chimmy continuing to work to Shelagh and now Trixie. Chummy and Shelagh did adapt how they worked because anyone with kids will tell you that you can’t go back to working the same way you did before kids. I feel Trixie would have had to do the exact same and shifts like on call and night shifts aren’t always as feasible for people who have family commitments and kids. But still if anyone can make it work it’s Trixie but only if Matthew allows.
That’s all I have to say at the moment

Loved tonight's ep of midwife.
The Turners working together and supporting each other.🥰. Patrick shouting for her when he sees what's happened is cute, they are such a sweet couple.
Did have to stop eating my snack when they did c section though so I wasn't sick.
Also love how the Turner kids couldn't go to the wedding just as a plot device so only the adult Turners were in the car when the accident happened.
Trixie's brother is sweet and the hen night was lovely, plus sister Monica Joan reading the poem she wanted to.
I hope that the 2 grandma's and the dad support each other to raise the little girl and tell her stories about her mum and how loved she was by her.
Finally good old sister Julienne after a few people said Nonnatus is finished she's like you wanna bet I'll show you. 😏
Love her reassuring Phylis as she probably feels the same as she gets older and sees the younger nurses moving on.
I don't think my mum has ever noticed they call Shelagh 'Mrs Turner' instead of nurse Turner she sounded very confused tonight when Dr T said it.
