Hello, love your blog!

Just a quick question do you think Joan and JFK ever had an affair? Considering they worked closely together during his camping and he called her “the dish”. I’ve always been curious.

First of all thank you so much, glad you like it! :D

There is no way to know for sure, but my personal opinion is no. Back in the early 60s, Joan & Ted's relationship was 'good' (as good as possible when you're married to Ted Kennedy lol). Joan said herself 'the first 5 years of their marriage were the best' (1958-1963). I think Joan might have had some emotional affairs after 1972-1973, when she was starting to be completely disillusioned regarding her marriage. Joan was raised as a religious, pure girl. I'm pretty sure she was a little bit naïve and oblivious to what was going on around her at first. (And then she realized whoops my husband's a trashbag 🙃). I think she idolized Jack and comforted him when Patrick died, but she probably had more of a little sister role (they had a 19-year age difference!)
