Stede has always had a problem with authority and superiority due his upbringing and class, having to challenge them both by getting rid of the coat was a nice gesture.

Stede continuing his lucky streak of being a good pirate in life threatening situations but terrible in practice.

Izzy straight up called Luscious out and addressed the longstanding beef these have had. He asked if Izzy is okay and Izzy dismisses him immediately putting the blame on a shark. They both know this is bullshit- Izzy has been screaming for days now. That doesn't matter because that's the life of a pirate. Life of a pirate is living and dying for your captain and your ship. And both of them know they're better on here than they were out there. The two have seemingly also flipped roles with Izzy antagonising Luscious and him also being the obsessed one who cannot move on and int he end chooses his on happiness.
