One of my fondest memories in the pre-megxit community was our roasting of Meghan Markle's How to COOK Toast 🍞 video. Good Times!🤣

Jessica actually did receive a bit more press with a 1x nutritional cooking spot for busy familes.

Chef Cory also secured a 1x spot on Chopped Junior for his ungrateful, cheating girlfriend.

If she did drop Jessica after what she did to Sasha that's actually kind of hot girl shit, I'm not gonna lie, but something about it feels fake because it's not like we know the extent of how often Meghan hangs out with her friends.

Sinners that are 1 or 2 degrees separated from our Saint, share your stories! I’ll share mine. So, bear with me. Let me set up the scene. It was 2021 (so our Saint still was popular in the US)— I was on a flight to California, and I was bumped up to first class. And I found myself seated by the most beautiful man. He exuded confidence and his clothes spoke real money. Honestly, my first thought was “Crap. I’m sitting by a famous actor, and I don’t know who he is. Crap, crap crap.”

Well, he wasn’t an actor — as I soon discovered before the plane took off, when he took a call to speak to what I presumed was a coworker about logistics, “Monticieto, blah, blah, blah, Jaguar, Range Rover, blah blah…” and my curiosity was piqued. Was he a lawyer? Real estate agent? Who was this mysterious moneyed man? I didn’t know, but somehow the ice was broken when he asked me a very boring question — and we fell into easy conversation. And once the stewardess gave us drinks (yay first class) the conversation flowed quite freely.

We were around the same age (late 20s / early 30s) — and he mentioned he used to live in Toronto. I asked him casually if between Monticieto and Toronto if he ever ran into Oprah’s latest interviewee, St. Meghan Markle, and he looked me dead in the eye. “Yes. Oh yes I have,” and gave a deep sigh. I then said, as chill as I possibly could muster, “Tell. me. more!” (At this point, thanks to wine/vodka soda water we were chatting like long lost best friends), and he got a bit standoffish and said, “well… I don’t really like talking about her because… people don’t really like what I have to say.”

I decided then and there to show my cards (recall 2021 — it almost felt dangerous to say you disliked her! Oh how times have changed!) — and I told him point blank that I thought she was pretty phony (though I was not nearly reliably informed about her antics as I am now.) He looked relieved by my response and replied, “oh you don’t know half of it!” And the next half hour he spilled anecdote after anecdote about her behavior.

So he was very much involved in Toronto’s high society, and was/is actually friends with Corey her ex. (Like, he pulled up his texts with him to share recent pictures of him and his wife and their cute kid.) After sharing many anecdotes of her pretentiousness and ultimately that “no one was missing her in Toronto,” he told me people only really tolerated her because of Jessica Mulroney, who according to my travel companion is very likable “once you know her.” (He only had nice things to say about Jessica, for what it’s worth. 🤷‍♀️)

His (and my) favorite story that he shared was that one time Corey took her for a romantic getaway somewhere tropical. But when they went to check into the hotel, Madame tried to get their hotel rooms upgraded. She started throwing a tantrum at the front desk staff, and in a fit of rage said “DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?” (Recall, she’s Rachel from Suits 😆) And everyone was like….. um…. No?

This was apparently the moment where the scales fell from Corey’s eyes, and he realized what he was dating. Apparently, he was considering proposing soon / during that trip, but instead — he decided to head back to Canada and end the trip early. I don’t think they immediately broke up — but I think Corey was starting to rethink everything. And was very much NOT heartbroken when things ended, but very much relieved.

Every time she does a long trip/tour, I am like surely she'll get some outfits rights. Surely. But nope.

Her fashion sense is the opposite of whatever aspirational is.

I was talking the other day how I liked many of her outfits from her early royal days. It's a well known fact that early on she had the Palace staff doing her styling for her. I wish I could remember the names of the PAs who styled her. Alas, even they couldn't save her from herself all the time. She'd still manage to show up to engagements with dirty shoes and dragging hemlines.

This all changed when she hired Jessica Mulroney for the Oceania tour and started merching for people like Serena Williams without any fear. Which is how we ended up with everything from seeing her underwear, to her wearing blood diamonds.

Plant, I didn’t discover you until after the Australia tour, so I’ve been going through your archives, and April 2017 is amazing – your research on the metadata of pap pics, the value of brand deals/merching, the role of $tyli$t$ like Jessica Mulroney. And I just came across what you wrote about her dumping Reitmans:

Reitman’s also seems to be stepping away from this kind of collaboration in general. They seem to be going in a different direction.

So it appears to be a mutual parting of the ways.

However, Meghan has handled this very poorly, as she seems to be accusing the chain of violating its contract with her.

I’m sure prospective partners (including those UK charities she seems to be now interested in attracting) are watching very closely and taking notes.

No one likes a backstabber.

You warned everyone, including Meghan (AND Harry!), almost seven years ago. 

This was always going to end like this. What a pair of dopes, what a waste. Those poor kids, and all that squandered PR money, which could have been donated to charity to do some actual good.

Meghan has thrown everyone she has ever worked with under the bus--Deal or No Deal, Suits, Reitman’s, Jess Mulroney, the royals, etc... At this point she’s not going to change her ways.

Catherine didn't even seem to mind Pippa's bum getting all of that attention on her wedding day, of all days when a bride really could expect to be the absolute center of attention. It just shows what a healthy sibling relationship looks like and how a secure, mature woman reacts to someone else getting attention. Meg didn't even have an adult attendant at her wedding because she wasn't going to risk being upstaged. She walked herself down (half) the aisle so there wasn't anyone else there to take attention away from her. She's a freaking egomaniac.

Look how badly this woman wears this dress. Even on the VB website the dress is not meant to be skin tight and the length makes her look short and boxy. She has no idea how to dress for her shape and height.

Also, Look at how she stands ... always with her legs open. Her stance is like a guy standing at a urinal - with her legs spread and her pelvis pushed forward - peeing in a urinal!

I’m starting to think she stands with her legs open like that hip length apart to make her ass look smaller from behind. So trashy! Probably a tip from equally trashy looking Jessica Mulroney.

Loved the whole analysis around the Met Gala rumor. I tend to agree, it's plausible that Meghan might have proven more trouble that she was worth for designers and organizers alike, and was quietly dropped.

Perhaps she was given more to do for the "guest editorship" to make up for the Gala snub, and so she kept mostly quiet - also, Meghan couldn't quite lob the "racist" accusation at American Vogue with the same effectiveness as against the BRF, right?

But what I find almost unbelievable is that she still arrogantly Megxited while knowing she was PNG to the American Fashion Establishment - what was she thinking? Did she truly think Jessica Mulroney could do what Anna Wintour declined?

Also, can we all acknowledge how cool it was of "our Kate" to snag Sarah Burton even before she had the backing of the Royal family? All her stylish ISSA dresses (and her family money, of course) led her to the House of McQueen. Meghan could never!

Kate's partnership with Sarah Burton was really lightning in a bottle. It's been said that Kate first "discovered" McQueen/Burton when she attended Tom PB's wedding and the bride wore McQueen. Supposedly Kate started talking to the McQueen fashion house then, so by the time she and William were talking engagement, the atelier and Sarah Burton were already familiar with her so it was a no-brainer. (I don't buy it.)

Also the then-British editor of Vogue, Alexandra Shulman, likes to take credit for introducing Kate to McQueen/Burton. I think she thinks a little too highly of the moment.

I'm really curious to see where the Kate/Sarah relationship goes now that Burton isn't with McQueen anymore. I hope we get some answers soon!
