Leila K - Electric 1995

Laila El Khalifi is a Eurodance singer and rapper of Moroccan descent, from Gothenburg, Sweden. Her song "Electric" is produced by Denniz Pop and Max Martin, and was released as a single in late 1995. In 1996, it was included on her third album, Manic Panic. The chorus is sung by Swedish singer Jessica Folcker (poll #247). The single peaked at number 2 in Finland, number 8 in Sweden, number 37 in Belgium, and number 18 in Israel. On the Eurochart Hot 100, it reached number 86.

The song's chorus has the same melody as Shannon's 1984 dance hit "Give Me Tonight". Chris Barbosa and Ed Chisolm share songwriting credits for the song. In the 2020 book, Move Your Body (2 The 90s): Unlimited Eurodance, writer Juha Soininen noted, "It also breaks the pattern of male raps: Leila raps and Jessica Folcker has the refrain. In its ferocity and aggressiveness, it encapsulates the best sides of eurodance." The European magazine Music & Media wrote that the song "shows that Leila K is still "The First Lady of Rap"."

El cuadro de Pedro López jugó bien durante los 90 minutos, las mejores opciones fueron para el Tricolor y solo fue cuestión de tiempo para que se adelantaran en el marcador.

Jacqueline Ovalle hizo el 1-0 con un disparo cruzado al minuto 31. Fue la cuarta anotación de la "Maga", quien salió en un gran día, buscando el gol en cada aproximación.

Karen Luna anotó el 2-0 al 49' para redondear el trabajo de las mexicanas.

Solo que Paraguay se negó a morir sin dar pelea, el técnico Carlos Bona hizo varios ajustes y desestabilizó a la defensa del Tricolor.

Se marcó penal a favor del cuadro guaraní, pero Jessica Martínez telegrafió su disparo y Stehefanny Barreras desvió el balón.

Las sudamericanas no dejaron de insistir y Camila Barbosa acortó distancias y anotó el 2-1 al 64'.

Para darle tranquilidad al equipo nacional, Ovalle apareció una vez más para anotar el 3-1 en el contrarremate al 69'. Stephany Mayor se robó el balón en la media cancha y encaró a la portera Alicia Bobadilla, quien se adelantó para atajar su disparo, solo que no contó con la "Maga", que estaba cerca y no perdonó.

Ovalle registró su quinta anotación en la W Copa Oro.

En la recta final fue cuando se vivió el momento de mayor tensión para la escuadra de Pedro López, pues Rebeca Fernández hizo el 3-2 al 72', y el equipo rival se lanzó con todo en busca del empate.

La zaga mexicana tuvo que despabilarse, pues las paraguayas les tomaron la medida.

México terminó pidiendo la hora, y si quiere llegar a la final, tendrá que hacer ajustes para evitar que su defensa haga agua ante Brasil.
