Let's talk about Centered (@centeredpodcast ). Centered is a fiction drama about self discovery and family. When Selah Copeland (Jerrika Hinton, Gray's Anatomy, Hunters, A Majestic Christmas) graduates college with a degree in accounting and goes to work for her mom's firm, she has panic attacks. Luckily, she can center herself at yoga class; even though her ultra religious mother thinks yoga is basically satanic. Selah's mom won't stop imposing her wishes onto Selah, at church, at the office, in her own darn bedroom, so when she butts in and finds out Selah is going on a weekend yoga retreat, first her mom tries to keep her from going, and when that doesn't work tries to book herself into the retreat with her, and just will not stop. Selah just needs this, some time away. But when Selah has time to think at the retreat, she starts to connect with what does and doesn't give her joy, and her mom might not want to hear what she figures out. Its 4, 20-ish minute episodes, a quick, but well done, and engaging listen. So if you enjoy #blackaudiodrama , margaritas & donuts, or voyages of self discovery, then Centered is for you!

❌ 2020 has begun with some interesting/intriguing series. Netflix with season 1 of The Witcher and season 3 of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and now "Hunters" on Amazon Prime ❌ With a diverse cast including Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson) and Al Pacino (The Devil's Advocate, etc) this series brings to life the struggles of the Jewish culture/Nazi regimen ❌ The emotional flashbacks of the concentration camps/evil acts of the Germans, helped fill in any/all questions you might have had ❌ Although this series has a slow pace enough as it is, it's ruined by the UNNECESSARY scenes of the LGBT Nazi hunting FBI agent. QUICK INFO: Dropping on 2/21, #Hunters is, to quote Prime’s description, “an epic conspiracy thriller, starring #AlPacino as the leader of a rag-tag group of Nazi hunters, in 1977 NYC.” The much-hyped show was even featured in a #SuperBowl commercial!! The ensemble cast also includes #JoshRadnor (#HIMYM), the inimitable #CarolKane, #LoganLerman (The Perks of Being a Wallflower, the #PercyJackson series, #Fury), & #JerrikaHinton (#GreysAnatomy). THE DEETS: Checking out what’s been released on this show so far, it definitely seems like one to check out. Al Pacino is still a powerhouse as an actor, & there’s also the fact that it’s coming to us via the brilliant #JordanPeele, who serves as an executive producer on the show.

#Vigilante #justice is something that is often exciting to watch on the small screen, with the interplay between the good guys, the bad guys, and the law (I.e., think of #Netflix’s Daredevil, or any of their other Defenders shows). But at the same time, one has to remember that this was actually based on true events, & I think that the realistic nature of that, interplaying with the Nazi history we’re all familiar with, will definitely amp up the drama of the show.

I’ve seen exciting documentaries on real-life #NaziHunters, such as famous investigator #StevenRambam, who have kept the cause going for decades...hunting down (and capturing!) wanted #Nazis, into the 21st century. While I’m looking forward to seeing how “Hunters” plays out in comparison to the real-life programs I’ve seen on this, I’m excited to check it out, just based on its own merit.
