These were all done under 20 minutes. That page is literally from my morning english class I wasn't paying attention to (it was done without a sketch, excuse the weird ass proportions).

Based on a comment in the book, Jeremy’s (Step?) Grandfather has is a huge role in whatever drama happened. Or the fall out Jeremy had with the family.

It’s the one clue I don’t seen brought up a lot. I see the police, the aversion to the last name, the hatred of their stepfather, the possible loss of a sibling to suicide etc. but never specifically this scene! If I had to guess, that’s where the money comes from. The (step) grandfather. Generational wealth. The “ don’t ruin my future” bit from the sister clues me in there.

Jeremy’s POV in tsc was so interesting because overall, he’s just a Normal Guy. Like he really shows you what the Ravens and the nest look like from the outside.

Because obviously, it was bad before. It’s horrible when it’s Jean or Kevin or Neil and you know exactly what happened to them, exactly how it affected them. BUT. With the original trilogy being narrated by Neil and then half of tsc being narrated by Jean it’s hard to see just how insane all of it is. Because that’s the world Neil and Jean live in! They’re so used to the mafia and how it ties into Exy, and all the other fucked up things relating to it, that when you bring in a character like Jeremy who by all means is not a part of that world, and despite some family problems has had a normal life, you really see how Not Normal and Not Okay it is. You know?

Like Jeremy’s POV is so enlightening because of course we knew what Jean went through was horrible, but seeing it from the perspective of someone who doesn’t know how the sports-mafia aspect of the world works? Wow.
