So… I have an idea for a Jegulus, Regulus-centric fic.

It would take place in modern times, where Regulus is a university student, has a loving family, he and his brother (Sirius) are best friends, is a super close friend of Remus, who is his brother's husband and he is engaged to James, who he loves very much.

But one day he has an accident where he hits his head hard, and when he wakes up he is in a place he has never seen before. Without him knowing, he woke up in Hogwarts, in the 70s. And he is very confused, because what do you mean he is a student at a magical school and he is no longer in 2024? He had no idea magic was real. Besides, apparently here he and his brother hate each other, just like James hates him. Since apparently he is extremely cruel, a supremacist and a follower of Voldmort. Regulus has never been so confused in his life and he just wants to go back to his world. The only thing that didn't seem to have changed was that his brother and Remus were together, even in another universe. But one of the things that hurt the most to see, besides Sirius and James' contempt, was the pure hatred in Remus's eyes directed at him. Apparently he had done something very serious to deserve so much hatred from people he loved so much, and the worst thing was that he had no idea what it was.

In short, it would be a story with a multiverse. Because Regulus from Hogwarts and the one from the normal world would have suffered an accident at the same time, but the spirit of Regulus from the real world ended up going into the body of the one from Hogwarts (and the one from Hogwarts died in the accident, rip). But obviously no one knows that, and they just think that Regulus woke up strange. Because Hogwarts' Regulus would actually be someone VERY cruel, a friend of Snape and a faithful follower of Voldmort. But Regulus, who came from the normal world, is extremely kind and a loving person. And he wakes up super confused in a world he knows nothing about. In addition to feeling completely lost without his brother, best friend and fiancé, who hates him in this world. And he tries to pretend he's Regulus from Hogwarts, because he's afraid they'll think he's crazy if he tells the truth. But some people are starting to notice how different he is. Like Sirius, but he's super suspicious, thinking he's planning something, because the Regulus he knows would never be kind to a Muggle-born.

I won't write the story, but I really wanted to read something like this… if anyone wants to write it, please tell me and I'd love to read it. Or if you know of a fic with a similar plot, please send it to me.

Harry meets the Mauraders fanfic recs

Ok, so this list was born after I read the beautiful fic called The Devil’s White Knight. It’s about Harry traveling to an alternative universe where Voldemort was killed in his youth, where his parents are alive and his whole life played out differently. He still has his memories though, and a whole lot of trauma, so he goes through a journey of getting to know a family that loves him unconditionally while struggling with everything else.

I was obsessed to say the least. I started looking for similar fics that gave me the same feelings and that explored Harry’s trauma and power as the key to Voldemort’s defeat, and how he fit into his new life. Thse are some I enjoyed a lot.

Ogni Parte È Viva (Every Part Is Alive) by euphorial_docx on ao3 is my favourite thing i’ve ever read (142k words, completed). literally ever in my life im not exaggerating.

it is a jegulus call me by your name au, and it is the best writing i have ever experienced. the thing that really gets me about this fic though is the characterisations, specifically of regulus. the tags state that he is autistic, and while it isn’t explicitly stated in the writing, it’s presented so beautifully. the things he says and does, and even the things he doesn’t say or do but are parts of his thought processes all just makes so much sense i can’t even explain it.

i am fully and completely obsessed with it and i reread the epilogue like twice a week.

it also has two incompleted fics as a part of a series; one of them is described as a collection of moments before and after the summer of 1979, and the second is a sequel that currently has 4 chapters up.

every single word in this fic and the ones connected to it just hit so hard and i’m genuinely obsessed with it. it’s so different from anything else i’ve ever read and i very highly recommend it

You don’t have to have all the answers,” James says, to which Regulus hums disapprovingly. “The world isn’t ending tomorrow, Regulus. Slow down. We’ll figure something out, but for now, all you have to do is be here. No one expects more from you; not anymore.”

(1) what drew you to the jegulus pairing? what is appealing about it to you that makes you want to write it? (this is a genuine question with zero judgement or snark. i am new-ish to fanfic writing and i am genuinely curious as i'm not too familiar with this pairing!)

(2) can you recommend a good started mauraders fic that is not all the young dudes cause that is so many words i don't feel ready for lol

Hellooo bonjour of course, I love a good ask, and your questions are so cool and I really want to answer them <3, so you're absolutely welcome!

(1) what drew me to the jegulus pairing? what is appealing about it to me that makes me want to write it?

I really connected with Regulus, because how can a character with such good intentions fuck up so bad? He's a really interesting character with a lot of flaws, yet you can't help but feel kind of sorry for him? I think it's interesting that we know so little, but what we know is full of contradictions? Homeboy supposedly proudly took the Mark but then tried to destroy the horcruxes? What makes a person do such a 180? It kind of forces us to think about what makes a person turn to evil, and what are the levers of evil (family pressure, depression, not feeling like a worthy cause, etc...). And James spoke to me because he's kind of sensible and easily hurt and I visualize him as having a very deep and rich inner life, kind of like Regulus. When he gets hurt, he'll try to get over it, he'll be confrontational, he'll forgive... but he won't really forget? I don't really write James as a happy-go-lucky guy, I tend to give him a more serious vibe, but I like how many characterizations you can find of him!

The both of them are really similar, they just externalize it differently. They both want to be loved for who they are, both are misunderstood as being either always mean or always happy, and both are tired of being put into boxes. They can be themselves with each other, put all the ugly and unlovable parts on display...and still find ways to be loved by each other.

Obviously they're fake characters that don't exist, this is just my interpretation of them and why I like writing/reading them.

I like the idea that someone unlovable can be loved, despite. Maybe it gives me hope.

(2) can I recommend a good starter marauders fic?

I have never read all the young dudes, so you're not alone.

I think my first advice is, you don't have to read the popular fics. There are a few I have read, a few I haven't, but just because everyone raves about it doesn't mean it'll hit for you, so give yourself the freedom to pick and choose your own adventures.

I'm going to go on a little tangent here, but ao3 really is an archive, and every damn day I find gems that have less than 10K hits, sometimes less than 10 comments, that are the bees' knees.

I urge you to just go in ao3 and dig, my friend. Pull your ao3 tags and go on a rampage. Try all the tags you think would interest you.

Don't only trust the comments or the hits. Low or high hit/low comment means nothing. One of my fav fanfic ever sits at a cool 40K hits from 2017 and I believe God wrote it, I can't imagine a human out there in the world wrote this stuff.

My point is every single comment/hit is deserved, and you have "popular fics" that are fantastic and got a lot of love (and deserve them), and unknown fics that are fantastic and deserve a lot of love (and you're gonna need to dig to find them).

My advice is: search tags, start reading chapter 1, see if you feel it. Either click out, or enjoy your meal. Take chances. My god, the things you'll find.

That being said, here are a few recommendations that I really enjoyed, from different registers, so you can have a little pick and see if anything tickles your fancy:

ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking by inthesquare  and really any fics by @aboutnavi. The way she writes tickles a part of my brain that I really just--*sighs in love*. Ladies and Gentlemen is a fic she wrote for me, but I got to know her through : living in border lines (one of my absolutely favorite fics for no reason that I can pinpoint, just that it hits and I cried a lot). I recommend living in border lines to anyone with a pulse. It's sad and depressing, and it just takes 4k to get you there. But it's like, beautiful? ALSO in the ether, there is a website by her made me sob but in a positive, lovely way. She really said, I'm going to write something the way no one has ever written anything before, and did that.

It's a question of where, not when by Idontthinkthats_pumpkinjuice realllllyyyy took me there. I don't know there's something about the CONCEPT that I just thought was really cool and fun and original. It has become a sort of comfort fic for me. It's so weird, I love it.

Tarte Tatin by veryinnovative (@veryinnovative) I started reading this when I was in Japan and I was experimenting with strange and wonderful food, and the story sucked me in. I've never watched the media it was inspired by, but the fic is chef's kiss.

Choices by MesserMoon (@sophsicle) was the fic that dragged me kicking and screaming into the fandom. It's not really fun, nor happy (but it has light-hearted moment. Like, they really try to be happy you know?). I loved everything about it. All their fics are great--just know you'll suffer reading most, but you'll be happy about it.

quite like us by alarainai was the fic that dragged me out of the deep dark hole Choices put me in. It's fun, it's fluffy, it's cute, it healed me. All their fics are great if you want to be happy and have a good time and look at life and think "Thank god I'm alive".

The Mystery of the Pears by sonwar. I'm currently reading this one, and I've been having a lovely time.

If I had to recommend one fic to read from my collection, it would be Le Mange Dieu et le Dévoreur de Mondes. I think you can really tell from the writing how much fun green and I had writing this. I'm extremely proud of what we did there, enough that we both got the name tattooed on our bodies last summer (don't do that. We both have lots of tattoos so we weren't bothered, but don't do that. don't tattoo fic names on your body. It's madness)

Anyway, I urge you not to take these as the gospel truth. It can be a starting point, but there are thousands of amazing writers out there with fics updating, or completed, just waiting for you to find them. I'm mostly writing, so I haven't read any fics from the Marauders fandom in a while. I don't know what's been thrown out there in the past few months, I'm sure there are so many gems!

for your anon concerned about tokenism which is a very important thing, it truly is. but what made me go easy on myself was realizing that fanfic is kinda not the place people should go for when looking for rep? now let me explain. it’s not that fics shouldn’t have rep, or that fic writers are exempted from having to incorporate it, because i don’t think it’s neither here and there. that’s not the argument we should be having. we should have rep in proper media, in things that actually make an impact in the world. that’s where the rep should happen and we should advocate for that etc etc. we also should be mindful of what we consume and how we do it and see if we only engage with cishet westernized stuff. but aside from that, if people are demanding from fic writers those things it’s kinda weird to me. like, my dude, you love the whitest, most cishet work of all times and that’s fine with you, but this random writer from xique xique bahia (brazilians will understand my joke) has to know all the intricacies of being a teen in the 70s in wales? or else they’re not doing a good work? like, maybe…! go read books that are diverse and engage in those fandoms too. a lot of HC are just like that anon said, so widely spread that just makes sense. desi harry is very dear to me. even if i also vibe with latino james. idk man, i think we can call off straight up problematic stuff. racist stuff. but if you go into fics trying to be educated maybe open a proper book and like, don’t expect fics to be a manifesto? i just want to see gay people kissing. and i think that’s the gist of it, i read books, i study, i educate myself so when i go into fanfiction im expecting to have a good time. i can also find amazing political stuff in it, but i don’t demand an academic work from writers. but some people are so braindead nowadays that the thought of actually opening a book and studying it too time consuming. so, anyways, yes please don’t be racist don’t be weird don’t be creepy, but also guys, maybe y’all should take fanfic less seriously and engage with other things outside of fandom.

the beauty of fanfiction is how chill it is !!! which is something that's been lost recently with all the moral debates (noisy jegulus haters, i'm looking at you and frowning) !!!

i'm doing a lit + pol degree, and that really shows the difference for me. yes, whilst i read these works for university i'm picking apart everything, i'm cross-referencing it with the politics of the time and how they've developed, at the back of my mind i've always got this idea of representation.

i don't with fanfiction. because that's not the point.

fanfiction is the a FREE and OPEN resource. we don't have to worry about whether publication companies find value in our ideas, we don't have to worry about whether our words hold as much worth as others. we just Write.

people get too concerned with the morality of fanfic, they expect perfection from people Doing A Hobby. and i get it, i get where frustrations come from, but at the end of the day this is a bit of fun.

and yes, diversity is SO important but at the end of the day, fanfiction is already the most diverse form of media out there. if you want deeper explorations, either write them, or take your frustrations out on the core material that fandoms are derived from. take your frustrations out on the fact that we have to add diversity to fandom spaces because it's not in original media.

fanfiction is fun, it's a hobby and i am getting So So So tired of people nitpicking and deciding what words have worth when that's the exact reason i criticise official publishers.

BONUS YAP: "i think that big authors needs to step up and-" NO ‼️‼️‼️ just because they have more hits does not mean fandom etiquette doesn't apply. just because their works have more kudos does not mean they owe anything !! maybe stop putting people who are Having Fun with a Hobby on a pedestal to be your moral light.

JEGULUS/SPIDERMAN MINI FIC.

I’ve been thinking about them recently and a fanart of them as Spideys from different universes. So here is a little something for your reading pleasure. There may be a couple more installments.

James couldn’t be sure how he’d gotten there. He knew his head was burning and he felt shaky with all of the lights and sounds. He’d already almost been hit by three cars that were zooming through the air.

The air!?

That wasn’t even the first realization James had at just how far from home he was. The very first was the water that was covering any ground he couldn’t see. What was this place?

“You’re a long way from home.” A voice came from behind him.

James turned quickly, ready to continue the fight he’d been having only moments before. He paused, the black suit with the silver webbing across it took him by surprise. He nearly lost his balance on the precarious perch of the skyscraper he’d gotten himself onto.

“Cool retro spidey suit.” The black spider said.

“Who are you?” James asked.

The Black Spiderman held his arms out as if it was obvious. “I’m Spiderman. At least in this universe.”

“This universe?” James’s head was swimming.

“How’d you get here?” The boy dropped down next to James.

“I don’t know.” James looked around, flashing lights and constant noise weren’t new to him. He was a New Yorker after all, but this was an entirely new monster. “I was battling Green Goblin—“ James looked around for the villain, there were endless places he could be hiding.

“And then I was suddenly here, flying through the air almost getting smashed by these hovercrafts.”

“You came through a wormhole.” The boy pointed further away from them. “It appeared right there.”

“Did anyone else get through with me?” James was still scanning the horizon for Gobby and his glider.

“Nope, just you.”

“I’ve got to get back.” James shot a web out to catch the nearest building. “Gobby is probably wreaking havoc all over my city by now.”

“I don’t think you can go that way.” Black Spidey shook his head.

“Well I’ve got to try.” James said. “Er… nice meeting you.”

He leapt from the building, catching webs until he finally reached where the other Spider-Man had said he’d appeared, propelling himself forward and shooting through the air only to find himself falling towards the water again. He shot a web out, missing the nearest building and plummeting downwards.

“Oh shit!” James swore, trying to release a couple more webs to no avail. At least he could swim, although he hated when his suit got drenched.

A hard force was now colliding with his body and tugging him upwards, back to safety at the base of a large scaffolding.

“I told you that wouldn’t work.” Black Spider-Man admonished.

“Thanks for that.” James rasped, his hands still wrapped around the other boys shoulders. “Usually I’m the one doing the saving. It’s quite nice.”

“Oh for fucks sake.” Black Spidey hissed. “We need to move now. Follow me!”

James watched as the boy released his webs and flew into the air. He had no choice but to follow the other boy, just in time as a blast of hot molten goo exploded right where they had just been.

“Two spiders to squash. It must be my lucky day!” Squealed Green Goblin.

“I thought you said he didn’t follow me!” James yelled towards the Black Spider-Man who was now swinging around a building.

“He didn’t.” The boy said. “This guy isn’t from your universe. He’s from mine.”

“Hobgoblin! Get Spidey!” Green Goblin commanded.

“Which one?” Hobgoblin yelled from his own green and black glider.

“Take your pick!” Gobby smiled, grabbing two more bombs from his pack.

James took only a moment to get his bearings before swinging back around and kicking Hobgoblin off his glider, the glider jetting down underneath to catch him before he fell into the ocean.

“Spider-Man!” Black Spidey yelled, grabbing James by the arm they spun into each other, the air rushing out of James at the force of it.

“Make a sticky web down there!” He pointed towards the water. “I’ll keep them busy then drop them to you.”

“Alright.” James dropped down and began working on his sticky web, glancing up as Black Spidey soared through the sky like a ballet dancer. It was incredible to watch. He took Hobgoblin’s punches with ease, wrapping the boy up in webs until he couldn’t anymore.

“One coming down.” He called to James as Hobgoblin fell towards his incomplete web trap.

“Hold on!” James yelled, catching the young villain just before he hit the water, he began spinning him into the web around him fully encasing Hobby into it.

“Two Spidermen is cheating.” The boy complained.

“Can it kid.” James snapped. “I’m not even meant to be here.”

He was spinning as quickly as he could as Green Goblin came falling into his web, flailing and throwing the last of his bombs. James encapsulated them, minimizing the explosion that still hit him, searing his face through his mask.

“Are you alright?” Black Spidey was now with him, spinning Gobby up tightly next to his son. “I’m sorry! I thought I’d gotten him to use all of his bombs.”

“I’m alright.” James grunted, his ears were ringing and a dull throb has started just behind his eyes.

“Quick let’s get out of here before the police show up. They don’t take kindly to me and you by association. Can you still spin?”

“Yeah. I think so.” James said, releasing his webs and following Black Spidey through the skyline.

He could feel the wind whip against his exposed face and his right ribcage. He must have taken more damage than he thought. He looked up towards the other Spidey, he could see milky white skin and blood covering his back.

“You’re hurt!” James yelled.

“I’ll be fine.” The other boy responded. “Let’s just get to safety.”

He followed Black Spidey until they finally stopped in a far more run down piece of town, the skyscraper old and rotted where water was engulfing it.

“In here.” Spidey said, crawling through a webbed tunnel. James followed, the full extent of his injuries finally hitting him. He tore his mask off as he vomited in the sticky webbing.

“I worried you may have gotten a concussion from that blow to the head. I’ve got something inside that’ll help.” Black Spidey was next to him again. “Can you make it?”

“I’ll be fine.” James said. “Worry about yourself.”

Black Spider-Man was shaking from the pain of his own wounds. He shook his head and continued crawling forward, giving James no option but to follow him.

When they finally emerged in a run down room James truly felt like he may pass out. He tugged his glasses out of their special compartment and slid them on, his eyes trying to fully focus.

“Weird.” black Spidey said, tugging his own mask off.

James stared at the face of the boy, his heart slamming hard in his chest.

“Reggie?” James spluttered.

Regulus made a face. “How’d you know my name?”

“You… were dead. H-how—“ Images of Regulus’s body slamming into the concrete, slipping just out of James’s grasp flooded into his mind. He could practically feel the weight of the boys lifeless body in his arms.

“Stop.” Regulus snapped, his hands now covering James’s mouth. “Don’t say another word. I can’t know about my death in a different universe. It’ll give me nightmares of it.”

“But you’re here now.” James grabbed Reggie’s hands tugging him closer. “You’re here. And you’re… Spider-Man in this universe? Who the hell am I then?”

“No idea.” Regulus shoved James’s hands away and turned peeling his suit down his skin. He tossed a bottle of pills behind him, James’s hand reaching up to catch them on instinct.

“Take three. It’ll heal you. Then we’ll worry about getting you home.” Regulus was now trying to dab an ointment on his ruined back.

James took the three pills, swallowing harshly. “Can I help?”

Regulus squinted at him and shrugged, handing the bottle of ointment to James and turning. James squeezed some onto his hand, rubbing down the other boys back.

James sighed, his hands shaking against the boy identical to his Reggie.

“Whatever bullshit you’re thinking about knock it off. I’m not him.” Regulus said harshly.

“I know that.” James said.

They were silent again.

“Who was he?” Regulus asked, quieter this time.

“His family owned a corrupt corporation that was siphoning funds from their non profit hospital and not caring for its tenants. He and I were trying to bring them to justice.” James said, wiping the excess ointment onto his suit leg.

“My parents were terrible too, but they’re dead now.” Regulus said slowly, turning to face James.

He was so beautiful, his light blue eyes giving James the same burning sensation down to his core. His high cheek bones sending electricity through his fingertips. He balled his hands into fists to keep from reaching out and touching the stranger in front of him.

“And you loved him?” Regulus finally said.

“Yes.” James breathed.

“I’m not him.” Regulus turned away, tugging his ruined suit back over his shoulders, zipping up the side. “C’mon. I know someone who can help with your little world issue.”

So, occasionally I do adventure out of my comfort zone and read something other than Harry and Draco falling in love for the 1246th time in a row. This month I've been enjoying some magnificent entries in HP rare pair fair (@hprarepairfest) - all the love for this fest. Also I've been exploring some jegulus which I'm absolutely obsessed, at least in theory. In reality I don't think I'm honestly strong enough for the marauders era at all, that shit fucking hurts and I salute all those who go through it day to day. You're amazing.

So, without futher ado, my november non-drarry favorites:

Apple Tree and Juniper by @trueliarose 💫 Harry/Charlie, 17,732 words

Charlie Weasley: dragon tamer, single, attractive and the man Harry had had a crush on for years - what will happen when said man has to take some time off at work and decides to occupy himself by helping out with Harry's business?

Now, the thing about me is that I'm the biggest simp for Charlie Weasley. He makes me absolutely feral. The whole idea of getting it on with your best friends brother is like fucking ecstasy to me, and this might or might not stem from personal experiences. Out of all the Weasley siblings Charlie with Harry is just 🤌🤌 Now this fic had it all. A little angst, lots of fluff, Harry being all crafty crafty, TENSION and PINING, amazing magical woodworking lore (??? idk but i love it).. and the best part is that I noticed the author started a series with this fic being the opening act - I've never in my life hit that subscribe button as fast as I did with this one. God is good.

Choices by @sophsicle 💫 Regulus/James, 624,178 words

People make mistakes, but they also make choices. It’s important to James, that difference. He does his best not to confuse the two.

This is an honourable mention on this list since I read this already in October. But listen, I'm fucking traumatized by this fic. This was my first jegulus, my first marauders I've ever finished, and my 13th goddamn reason. And I can't even blame anybody other than myself, I knew exactly what I was getting myself into. I binge-read this in a day and a half and in retrospect I should've taken it a little more easy. But what can I say, I'm an all or nothing kinda girl. Chapter 53 hits different at 4am, just saying. The writing was hauntingly beautiful and I still think daily about some quotes and scenes from this fic. This fic is a journey and I'm glad I took it.

Light Bringer by meanwhiletimely 💫 Albus/Gellert, 10,678 words

Gellert doesn't simply shine—Gellert blazes, casting all around him into shadow with sheer dazzling force of being. When he turns that beatific gaze on you, your whole body comes alive for him: heat flaring up from within, blood in your veins turned to light.

This story is EVERYTHING. I was holding by breath while reading this. Beautiful. I love grindeldore (even though my resentment of Albus is as deep as the Mariana Trench), and this has to be one of the most beautiful fics I've ever read. This was written in second person POV which made the fic even more intense. Like I felt every word in my soul. Lots of love.

Mystic Lake of Memory by @sliebman10 💫 Harry/George, 5,055 words

As George's thirtieth birthday approaches, Harry convinces him to go on holiday to Loch Ness, where he and Fred had originally planned to spend their birthday in search of the sea monster.

Fred and George remain as an open wound for me still after all these years. This fic was sweet and melancholic at the same time, I absolutely loved how their relationship had grown and this fic was pretty as a picture. Absolute joy.

Sleeping With Ghosts by @ghaniblue 💫 Regulus/Harry/Draco, 27,902 words

Harry wakes in an unfamiliar bed to Regulus pointing a wand at his head, and then Draco moves into his house. Harry just wants the world to fuck off; being able to sleep through the night would be appreciated, too. This is the story of one very tired saviour of the wizarding world, a resurrected corpse and a mean little ferret living in Grimmauld Place together, drinking too much tea, talking less than is warranted, and falling in love.

I'm a slut for triads. Even more of a slut if two thirds of the triad is drarry. This fic was everything. It was so witty and funny and I was seriously laughing out loud reading this. I need this relationship tag to BLOW THE FUCK UP in 2024. I loved the build up and the ending was perfect. I really enjoyed Regulus' characterization and I think this fic really hits the spot with how I imagine him being. The interaction between the three of them was amazing.

Sweet Boy by @maraudersaffair 💫 Harry/Narcissa, 6,261 words

Harry agrees to date Narcissa to help her improve the reputation of her family. The intensity of their sexual chemistry takes them both by surprise, and it turns out there is nothing fake about their arrangement.

After reading this I decided that being a MILF is a state of mind and that being said I am one now. Do I have any kids? No. Will I have any kids? God knows. This fic was delicious in all the ways and more and I love Narcissa. So much.

Two of the Easiest Words in Gaelic by sky_watcher_rose 💫 Druella/Minerva, 27,902 words

Minerva will be the first to admit that Druella Rosier was the love of her life. But it’s been twenty years since they last saw each other, and she’s done her best to move on. When Druella unexpectedly arrives at a parents’ evening - the first she’s attended in the four years that Minerva has been teaching her children - both of them have to face up to certain feelings that never went away.

I usually shy away from muggle au's, but this was magical nevertheless. It was the first fic with this pairing I've ever read (and yes I have to admit I had to google who Druella was). The Scottish winter vibes were immaculate. I absolutely adore the "one that got away" kinda vibe in this one. There was this one quote from Minerva which was something like "I'm Scottish, nothing depresses me except bad whiskey" and I felt that in my core. Feel u sis, even though I'm not a Scot.

for when you’re completely broken from a canon compliant fic, or you just need a good distraction from anything you may be stressed about

it’s a jegulus fic set during the war except it’s mostly them hanging out at james’ apartment. regulus has survived the cave and hides out at james’ house. it’s the sweetest thing ever with the most beautiful writing and every description and every bit of dialogue just hits different and it truly is the ultimate comfort fic.

the black brothers angst is subtle but very much there, and so are the little glimpses we get into their past. for the most part it’s just a really warm and lovely story about two people learning how to love and be loved by each other and i’m so obsessed with it.

personally i’ve read it atleast 6 different times and i hope you enjoy it half as much as i do <3
