Superman Legends: Jax-Ur

Jax-Ur first appeared in 1961 as a Kryptonian mad scientist banished to the Phantom Zone for destroyed a populated moon with a nuke. He has since made regular appearances, either breaking free of the Zone on his own, or working as basically General Zod's science guy.

In an adaptation, he would be an easy character to just place as "General Zod's science guy" as stated before. That said, a movie delving into the Phantom Zone itself, or maybe just one starring Mon-El or Chris Kent, could easily use him as their main villain. There are lots of people who could play mad scientists, but I kinda want to see what Jeff Goldblum would do with the role.
