The idea of the batkids scaring Bruce with “a new grandchild” to only show an animal is so funny to me, because imagine Bruce is so used to it that when Jason wants to introduce him to his new grandchild Bruce almost falls out of his chair when there’s an ACTUAL KID!

When Danny's team member asked him for a favor, Danny agreed before hearing him out. "What else are Titans for?" he had said, but really it's because none of the bats ever asked for favors. He was nosey, sue him.

However, he wasn't expecting to meet crime lord Red Hood and be asked to help with his "Pit Madness" or whatever.

Danny's sigh and hanging of his head seemingly worried the bats. He doesn't think the answer to their problems they were looking for was, "Go to therapy."

In my opinion, Jason Todd's murder was the most cruel, callous, and cynical decision in the history of comic books. Ever. It certainly is in the Batman canon. This is exactly the moment DC changed for me. And absolutely for the worst. That decision completely reverberated, infected, and poisoned the rest of the Batman canon, and that poison spread to the other heroes as well. If I could pick one moment in the history of comics I would change, it would be this.

It wasn't just the murder itself, it wasn't just the way the murder was carried out, it wasn't just the implications with regards to his new backstory--hell it wasn't even just the poll that did it. It was ALL of that plus the future additions that made things worse. It completely went against everything DC stood for--or at least should've stood for. It demonstrated a complete lack of empathy and care for its creations. Which in my opinion is the biggest sin a creator can commit.

For a while, I wondered what exactly changed for me regarding comics post-1989. Why I didn't connect to them as much as I did to the ones made prior. The reason is Jason Todd. I do not say this as a big Jason Todd stan (though I do hold a particular soft for Jaybin, especially pre-retcons). I say this because his death is the rotten seed that birthed the rotten fruit.

To me, the story went from "any victimized child can be a hero" to" any victimized child can be a hero as long as the money flows. If not, we'll let the audience stone you so we can dig up your corpse years later for a plot twist."

I think more media should work with the concept that you can still love someone you never forgave. You can still rebuild and create a new relationship with someone but also be "what you did to me was wrong and I trust you to not be like that again and want you in my life but I can't won't forgive that, won't forget the hurt you caused. I love you but there will be days I won't be able to see you because the trauma you gave me is back and I'm just so angry and sad and at least you never asked for forgiviness just to be here, just for friendship, because you know that this are things I can give you."

I need you to know that, as a tim stan (derogatory), I fully support your Tim hatred and in fact think he deserves MORE haters, if only bc it would be incredibly funny. Every time I see one of your posts ripping him to shreds I think to myself "only oifaaa understands this character in its entirety" and every time I am correct

The secret is that I don't hate Tim I just enjoy bullying him which is very difficult to do when people keep infantalising and victimising him it makes me look like an ass for harassing a poor defenceless child when it's like no that's a grown ass man who has made several bad decisions that have lead to his own shitty situation

Very big believer of Jason leaving Sabo with Bruce to get them to know and like each other.since Sabo is Jason’s romantic partner then there’s nothing wrong with hanging out with your technical son in law.Right? So Sabo becomes Bruce’s temporary assistant in crime fighting in Gotham.

i see the potential for a dick and jason reverse robins au. jason staying on the good kid track from his childhood and being put on a pedestal despite still having so many issues, and then pre-teen dick grayson shows up; problem child, keeps running away from juvie and foster homes because he's lusting for murder, filled with rage and plastering a feral smile on top of it all--which jason can't even comprehend because he's so fundamentally authentic with his emotions at any given moment--and above all, making jason cry with laughter because of the look on bruce's face when he sees dick on the chandelier. it's perfectly backwards. i'm obsessed

Red Robin redesign based on the idea of an inverness cape... this version of RR has returned to his detective roots, puzzling over Gotham's toughest mysteries and donning the cape and cowl when it's time for some good old-fashioned legwork.

I know in my heart tim is a Cape Guy -- the Question may rock a detective’s coat and fedora but that's not the right look for tim (not to mention batman!damian already has a claim on the coat-as-cape look). But tim is also a confirmed sherlock holmes nerd, so the two-layer inverness-inspired cape seemed a good way to subtly infuse some detective vibes into his costume.

CASSANDRA CAIN MY LOVE!!! She's definitely the batgirl I've read the most in terms of full issues, the first 30-ish issues of her solo by Kelly Puckett Scott Peterson and Damion Scott had me hooked and I binged them but fell off after Horrocks came on (nothing against him, he was just given an editorial mandate to make the book more romance focused and it turned me off because it felt so ooc for Cass to me lol. I do own some of the issues he wrote tho! I like the ones with art by Rick Leonardi). I'm not really caught up with modern comics (ish??) And I'm not reading anything dedicatedly but I hear she's in a new original book teaming up with a magic user? Neat! Good for her. I love her in the shadow of the batgirl graphic novel (IT'S SO GOOD)

Your transfem Tim fics are just SO amazing and moving to me and I love them so much. But I'm curious since a couple days ago you said your most popular ('by any other name would smell as sweet') isn't your favorite you've written- which one is, and why?

Thank youuu also hm i think its too mean to say 'literally any other one' bc i dont hate it or think its bad i just. Looking back i would change many things. Like maybe lower the amount of supporting characters in that fic. Paralytic states + crude and graceless are dear to me bc i think the levels of repression and tiptoeing around the issue comes through better and it takes tim longer to come to terms with it, and i think he'd be much more withdrawn about it/keep it close to his chest than i wrote it in that fic. Thats just the sort of stuff i changed my mind on as time passed and i thought about this hc more so u know it happens. Drowning lessons has a vibe i still really enjoy it feels kinda self contained? And hairline fracture is special to me bc its a part of a kind of complicated au im probably never actually going to write. So yeah im v fond of all of them for different reasons
