hi! and thanks for your support, i really appreciate it :)

hmmm, i would say to fully believe in your work and put all of your efforts into it. seriously; it works WONDERS. bonus points if you have that innate ability to be imaginative with just about anything. i've been told many a time that the competition within the revolving screenwriter community and the entertainment industry as a whole is highly competitive, akin to that of the budding actors and actresses out there but actually, what matters is the commitment you are willing to give to your craft and not giving up. i'm still a writer in the working and honestly, every writer is! vbts, for example, started off as a surface-level slice of life with a small antagonistic force threatening the group into a complex, emotional and interesting journey for the characters where they face trauma. it's just about how you build the foundation for your story and then make your own twists to make it all the more intriguing for readers.

if you have an interesting idea, grow it. feed it. evolve it with your ideas and see if what fits into your idea and play with tropes! subvert tropes, build off tropes, literally anything is possible when storytelling and i believe in you!

Is there any projects you're gonna do after vbts ends?

yeah! i have a few in the developmental phase (i.e. NORMAL, Stronger Hearts) but one that is near "100%" completion, such as the psychological horror drama i've planning called "FAITH AND FEAR" which will drop this year with its first episode. there are some other projects that have been in development for over a year now but i'm going by my level of interest in each one instead of by the time i've conceived them. and FAITH AND FEAR, to me, feels like it should be the second project under Happystick Stories after VBTS.

FAITH AND FEAR is the result of my determination to come to peace with my religious trauma growing up and knowing my fucked up mind (lol), i think this series will do it justice and can't wait for you guys to see it.

I'D LOVE TO! i think VBTS would most definitely be in an animated format if it was made into an actual show people can watch.

unfortunately, a fully animated show on the same caliber as VBTS scripts etc usually comes with some extreme upfront costs, time and effort but never say never lolll.

What can we all expect from vbts season 4 pls answerrrr PLSSS

A LOT of sudden twists and turns. i like to think of the first 6 episodes setting up and getting you guys more comfortable for what is going to come in Venom Basketball: A Journey's End.

NOTE/UPDATE ON VBTS: i see a lot of askbox questions asking is A Journey's End apart of Season 4 and just want to clarify this in one single post: kinda lol. A Journey's End can act as a separate thing from Season 4 but it's still apart of Season 4 cause it's the final resolution of VBTS as a whole.

Venom Basketball: A Journey's End is a multi-part finale event to Venom Basketball: The Series that will drop across late 2025. i don't want to give out the full episode count of A Journey's End cause, yes, i want you all to be on the edge of your seats with each episode release of A Journey's End - i'm evil hehehhe >:) -

Season 4 though, will drop in early 2025 with the midseason finale being Episode 21 (you'll see why) which will lead Season 4 into a short hiatus into the last two episodes of Season 4 which will return the summer of 2025 if that makes any sense lolllll.

i actually just got done writing all 6 episodes of Season 4 an hour ago :D but i'm taking a short break before writing A Journey's End to recharge. actual release dates will be announced either in December of this year or January of next year. stay tuned and I LOVE YOU GUYS <33333

I'm so sad vbts is ending :( My question is will season 4 be depressing like season 3 and how would you describe season 4? I love this series smmmm Im gonna miss it

hiii! and yeah, it is sad VBTS is ending but all good things must come to an end, unfortunately.

as the last season of VBTS, season 4 naturally has a very clear sense of finality to it. characters are coming to terms with their journeys and preparing for major changes in their lives. this season will explore a lot of new and unexpected avenues of VB that haven't been looked into yet so far in the series and it's looking pretty interesting so far.

can't really say much yet but my main goal for this final season is to go back to the magic that is season 1 while balancing the heavy tone the series is most known for. but unfortunately, yes, the season will start getting depressing midway through and in the final episodes as the characters realize things in their lives that are still present. however, this season will still go out with a bang and finally bring closure to our favorite band of silly teens :)

fans of vbts, please DO NOT off yourselves because of the election. that’s what they lowkey want us to do. keep living your lives authentically regardless of the election and keep being yourselves. i know the overall atmosphere is heavy and discouraging after the election but don’t let them take your life away from you, don’t let them win or hold any power over you. i love all of you for your support of vbts. season 4 is cooking and it's gonna end vbts with a bang. <3

Hiii!! First, Im a BIG FAN OF VENOM BASKETBALL THE SERIES but my question is why did season 2 get so sad out of nowhere not a bad thing I think its really cool to talk about those subjects like that and how did you handle it?? Once again I love the series so far

hi and thanks!!! :D this is a really frequent question i get so here’s my full explanation for all:

around season 1, i wondered what if i implemented more mature topics in the series and that’s where the del x owen arc came from in episode 3 and wanted to at least dip my fingers into that type of stuff, the first “topic” being explored was boundaries and why they should be respected. after that episode, i found myself feeling resolved?

idk how to explain it but using some of my own experiences for a story arc felt refreshing and the feedback on season 1 and the two awards i won for it gave me a sign that i have potential to tell more emotionally powerful stories, even within vbts which began as a silly lighthearted series back in 2022.

when it got around to conceptualizing season 2, i wanted to expand on that emotional maturity aspect of the show more. not to say that i wanted to intentionally make VBTS too depressing for everyone to read but wanted the series to have some sort of emotionally mature story for the characters and by extension, everyone who has dealt with issues shown in VBTS to be noticed and represented by and taken in the most serious light. (i.e. dom’s backstory involving and dealing with domestic abuse)

and yeah, i do get comments saying that the “angst” isn’t required all the time in episodes and feels forced (mostly towards the late season 2 episodes and majority of season 3) but still, it’s genuinely made me so happy to see people reach out to me saying they felt seen and tell me about their experiences with panic attacks, depression, mental health issues, domestic and child abuse and how i accurately portrayed these topics in the series and some of these issues, i dealt with myself.

balancing and finding its tone throughout making all three seasons has been difficult but neccessary and i hope people will continue to enjoy VBTS through its end despite this.
