I mean, they were both heavyweights (iirc), but when it comes to the styles they're known for I totally agree. It would be so cool for the Batfam to have more distinct fighting styles and lean into some of their specialties a little more.

If you watch the animated DC Batman: Bad Blood film, there's a distinct difference between Dick as Bats and Bruce's more punch-focused, brawler techniques, and I find that so cool. Jason's would likely be a fusion of both, but I like the idea that he's learned to utilize his extra muscle.

With a month to go before Iran’s snap presidential election to replace ultraconservative Ebrahim Raisi following his death in a May 19 helicopter crash, a clearer picture is emerging of other conservatives who may become the only approved candidates in the race.

The Iranian government set the presidential election for June 28, with prospective candidates invited to register during a five-day period beginning Thursday. All candidates must be vetted by the Guardian Council, an unelected body stacked with loyalists of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

In reports published Sunday, Iranian state media said the council will announce the approved candidates about two weeks before the vote.

Raisi was elected president in a 2021 vote marred by a record low turnout, with many Iranians disinterested after the Guardian Council barred his most prominent rivals from running. Some observers saw the election of Raisi, a protege of the 85-year-old Khamenei, as a sign of the supreme leader favoring Raisi to become his successor.

One possible candidate for next month’s race for is acting President Mohammad Mokhber, who had been Raisi’s first vice president and was next in line to assume the presidency upon the president’s death, according to the terms of Iran’s Islamist constitution.

Jason Brodsky, policy director for U.S. advocacy group United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) and a longtime observer of Iranian politics, said he has seen mixed signals about whether Mokhber will register as a presidential candidate. He discussed other likely contenders in an interview for the Monday edition of VOA’s “Flashpoint Global Crises” program.

Adidas Basketball has revealed the roster of top draft-eligible athletes, seasoned coaches, and special guests for the 17th edition of the premier pre-draft scouting event, adidas Eurocamp. The event will take place from June 1-3 at Ghirada La Città Dello Sport in Treviso, Italy. This renowned talent showcase aims to discover the next generation of star athletes, ages 18-22, who aspire to pursue professional basketball careers.

After seasons of middling returns on the field following plenty of turmoil off field that led to the eventual exit of their stalwart Andre Russell, the Tallawahs stunned everyone in 2022 winning three Play Off matches in a span of four days to lift their third CPL title. Tallawahs have kept most of their winning core from last year bar their talismanic skipper Rovman Powell who moved to Barbados Royals in a pre-season transfer. The architects of their Play Off wins from last year, Brandon King and Shamarh Brooks, both have not been in the best of form as is their overseas signing Alex Hales who will arrive only after completing his Hundred commitments. Imad Wasim has been in red hot form in T20s this year and will be the key in holding together the top and lower order while his erstwhile countryman Mohammad Amir will spearhead the pace attack.
