Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993)

The plot synopsis says “Jason’s supernatural origins are revealed.” Judging by the poster, Jason is possessed by an Alien.... From the Alien movies. A giant worm from Tremors. The dream demons in Nightmare on Elm Street. Like.... Who is he? Also, if-and-when time machine’s become available, my first recommendation is to not make Jason yell and grunt as he’s being shot. Way scarier without it. Everything about this movie was bad. Only his family can kill him, he becomes a crazy infant demon..... Straight out of a Freddy Krueger movie. For a movie they planned as being the final film, this was awful. This is what happened: Jason was caught and killed, then brought back to life by possessing other humans bodies on a mad hunt to possess his relatives to come back into his own supernatural form. And then everyone died. And then they finally killed Jason, and Freddy’s hand grabs the mask and laughs because they were setting up a movie with both of them and it happened TEN YEARS LATER. An unbelievable wait time.

Rating: F. This should not have happened. Yet another film where the murders aren’t performed by the real Jason. He deserves a dedicated horror franchise.

Jason goes to hell 1993 is actually not bad considering it’s a different kind of story that we are used to. And if you ignore the awful Jason X aka Jason in space. And jump immediately to Freddy vs Jason it makes more sense, since the ending of Jason goes to hell shows the Freddy glove pulling the Jason hockey mask down to hell. But Jason X. Ugh what a waste of time and a silly premise. Hey guys let’s make an alien rip off and have Jason on a spaceship killing off the people. And then there’s the transformation to Uber Jason. Holy mackerel, anyway Jason goes to hell sort of explains the origin of Jason Vorhees. The necromonicon book from the evil dead series has something to do with it. Jason is forever stalking and killing because of his mother being killed by a camp counselor in the first Friday the 13th. Now since new line cinema now owns the rights to Jason Vorhees, but not Friday the 13th title which is still with paramount, they can’t use Friday the 13th in the titles. In fact this is the first Jason movie since Jason takes Manhattan 1989.as for the title of this one Jason goes to hell, the final Friday . Nope ! That’s because Freddy Krueger had to disrupt his sleep for personal reasons in Freddy vs Jason. Which should be a direct sequel to Jason goes to hell. But they have been trying to get the right storyline and director since after Jason takes Manhattan. The great Kane Hodder has 2 roles in jason goes to hell. One as Jason and the other a security guard. And would you believe Jason has a sister? All of a sudden? And she’s played by Erin Gray( Wilma Deering of Buck Rogers. Jason goes to hell also stars; Steven Williams( X files, jump street) as a bounty Hunter, Billy Green Bush ( critters) as the sheriff.Steven Culp, and John Le May. Hey love it or hate it. It’s better than some of the sequels to Friday the 13th. And ugh Jason X. I wish they would do a sequel to Freddy vs Jason , but who is capable and worthy of playing Freddy Krueger? Since Robert Englund retired the character? My thoughts Kevin Bacon would be good. But Robert Englund in my opinion was the best Freddy Krueger. With all his sinister puns and evil laugh.
