Which profession in the wizarding world should you choose based on your zodiac sign?

Aries: Auror -  Aurors are a highly skilled elite, tasked to protect the magical community and trained to a very high standard. It is very difficult to fulfil the requirements to get into Auror training. Applicants must first have excellent academic credentials before they are accepted into a rigorous training programme. An Auror’s job is to hunt down and capture Dark Wizards, once a criminal is captured they are generally handed over to the authorities.

Taurus : A Magizoologist is a person who studies magical creatures though they may possibly also be referred to as wizarding naturalists. A Care of Magical Creatures class is taught at Hogwarts for students who wish to learn about magical beasts and the professor of the subject can be counted as an magizoologist, since they are educating others about creatures.

Gemini: Writer - From Hogwarts library favourites Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Quidditch Through the Ages to textbooks like A History of Magic, not to mention the so-called journalism of the Daily Prophet’s Rita Skeeter, writing is a varied career that appeals to a wide range of witches and wizards. After all, wizards aren’t really into televisions or internet, so the magical community relies on books a lot more for their personal entertainment.

Cancer: Pub landlord - The pubs of the wizarding world are sociable places – with the possible exception of The Hog’s Head. Apparently it’s a bit dodgy there. But London’s Leaky Cauldron is almost a visitor attraction, and we would very much like to try a Butterbeer or a Firewhisky in Hogsmeade’s Three Broomsticks. Judging by Madam Rosmerta, you also pick up a lot of good wizarding gossip too.  

Leo: Dragon keeper - This is one of the most hardcore-sounding jobs: hanging out with dragons.  The Ministry of Magic classifies them as XXXXX , known wizard killers that are impossible to train or domesticate. Despite how dangerous they are, there are people who are trained to work with them, called dragon keepers, or dragonologists. 

Virgo: Obliviator is the occupational title of a witch or wizard specially trained in the use of mental charms and employed by a wizarding governing body to help ensure that the Wizarding World is safely concealed from the non-magical community.

Libra: Teacher -  From the strict but fair McGonagall to the enthusiastic Professor Flitwick, the professors of Hogwarts show teaching is a profession with broad appeal. Some are better than others, of course, and the Defence Against the Dark Arts position is particularly troublesome, but almost all Hogwarts teachers do have deep respect for their subjects.

Scorpio: Wandmaker - The practise of making a wand is known as wandcraft. Wandmaking shops date back to at least the establishment of Ollivanders in 382 B.C., and some of the earliest wandmakers were the druids. But those with wandmaking ambitions can be hampered by the monopoly that existing wandmakers have in the industry. Garrick Ollivander is the only person we know that supplies Hogwarts students and the UK’s wider wizarding population with their wands. 

Sagittarius: Professional Quidditch player -  Ludo Bagman, Viktor Krum, Gwenog Jones – there are quite a lot of professional Quidditch players flying around. And just like Muggle sportsmen, the best players are seen as heroes and celebrities to the wizarding world. Much like any extreme sport, however, being a Quidditch player isn’t all fun and Snitches. That’s a long distance to fall.

Capricorn: Ministry of Magic official -  A Ministry of Magic is the primary governing body of the magical community in many countries. You could work for the Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Office, then there’s the offices associated with the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes, the Department of Magical Games and Sports, and the Department of International Magical Co-operation. 

Aquarius: Curse-breaker -  A Curse-Breaker is an occupational title denoted to witches and wizards who removes, counters or breaks curses placed on objects or places for a living. Best known as one of the profession sought after by Gringotts Wizarding Bank, in which a wizard or witch disables or counters curses in ancient tombs or other historical sites.

Pisces: Healer -  Magical injuries and illnesses can be a lot more complicated than those sustained by Muggles, so to be a Healer is a big job, especially in a world full of dragons. Aside from that, other magical ailments include artefact accidents, Dementorattacks, creature-induced injuries, magical bugs, potion and plant poisoning, and spell damage. Sadly, not all of those things can be cured with a massive slab of chocolate.

Amethyst - Aries

Amethyst is always good for a laugh and has the ability to really cheer people up with her lighthearted way of going. All of Amethyst’s appearance screams ‘Fight me!’ (well, except her rather cute looks). She loves to live, is bursting full of energy and takes in everything pleasure along the way. Although she’s not the voice of reason, in crucial situations she’s surprisingly mature in her decisions and states her mind without fancy bits. Without her friends (and therefore family) she’d be lost because she’d much rather be guided by her companions to avoid having all the responsibility laid on her shoulders.

Greg - Taurus

Greg is a real uniqueness. His innocent approach to doing things and his impartiality make him a treat to have around. He’s satisfied with the simple things in life - love, music and family; those give him the most. He’s more confident singing than talking. At first sight, Lapis comes off emotionally detached and maybe even a bit bad-tempered. But this is only because she doesn’t see a point in overly dealing with people who don’t give her anything back. Besides, Lapis’ experiences have made her a bit of a cynic who’s skeptical towards new people. Her bright mind is a very sensible one with a ‘no bullshit’-attitude. Maybe she’ll never admit it but the friends she’s found mean literally the world to her and it seems like she’s sometimes unable to grasp the love she receives. Lapis is very brave and sacrificing, always fighting like a true rebel for the greater purpose.

Lars - Pisces

As one of Steven’s best friends, Lars oftentimes gets involuntarily caught up in one of his adventures. Due to his many self-doubts, Lars tends to act incomprehensible to his friends. Through his self-downgrading he overshadows his good qualities of which he has so many! He’s loving, brave and a real leader (with quite a talent for baking!) But Lars gets jealous easily and is pretty lethargic at times so that he looks at the black side too quickly.
