We should be worried about immigrants – though not necessarily the ones the MAGA crazies are hysterical about.

Peter Thiel, Elon Musk, and Rupert Murdoch were not born in the US. Seriously, real Americans are not named "Elon". 🤨

Musk fled from South Africa when the end to white minority rule under apartheid was in sight. German-born Peter Thiel also has apartheid connections. Simon Kuper at The Financial Times (non-paywall link) wrote about their apartheid associations. Thiel apparently called apartheid "economically sound".

Murdoch was already filthy rich as an Australian press baron. He brought his own brand of reactionary tabloid media to the UK before coming to the US. He became a US citizen in order to be able to own American TV stations. That's why we now have "Fox News".

All three are very much like classic James Bond villains. In fact, the Bond film "Tomorrow Never Dies" features a Murdoch-inspired media mogul named Elliot Carver who wants to start World War III in order to boost circulation.

Thiel is the least known of this foreign trio though he is arguably the most evil.

Modus Operandi:

I prefer using quieter methods to get things done, and if I don’t have to be there in person I won’t be! Often, people never even remember a thing thanks to a little so-and-so from my lab or a well placed piece of blackmail. The best way to stay ahead in the villain game is to make sure they never even knew you were there!

About my lair:

My lair is filled with a wide mixture of things including plants and technology. I tend to think of it as an eclectic mix of witchcraft and computers. Why yes that is a fully functioning laboratory in my basement, no you may not touch anything!

My secret weapon:

My little notebook filled with all the delicious secrets people tell me (whether they remember them or not)

Kind of crazy to think that Daniel Brühl has not played a James Bond villain yet. Maybe EON Productions has grown tired of hiring worn-out-looking Europeans actors to play them?

A shame though, I'd love to see him play a villain in another big film franchise!

Elon Musk REALLY IS sounding more like a James Bond villain. Seriously.

We all know that Musk is a mega-rich narcissistic megalomaniac who is promoting his own version of eugenics and has a goal of colonizing Mars. That's pretty weird by itself. But now he is actually using the sort of language we'd hear from some nefarious nemesis of 007.

The Independent reports that Musk recently posted this...

"Take a big step back and F*** YOURSELF in the face. I will go to war on this issue the likes of which you cannot comprehend."

That's over the top even for a James Bond villain.

Musk wasn't aiming that comment at some "lib" he was trying to own, but at MAGA immigration hardliners. There is apparently a MAGA civil war over the use of H1-B work visas. Who knew that Musk was pro-immigration? (Oh wait, he's an immigrant who is a citizen of three countries.)

Trump ally and werewolf lookalike Steve Bannon called Musk a "toddler" – which is probably the way many of us would describe his idol Donald Trump.

In terms of the "five primary modes of Bond girl chic," would this count as a combination of swimwear and lingerie? But it also functions as no-nonsense work clothes, since Naomi is all business and she works around water a lot.

The ropes of beads all over the wrap she's wearing over the swimsuit look pretty, but they seem like they would get in the way a lot.
