Things in AYITL I disagree with:

Paris and Doyle getting a divorce, especially the part where Paris insists on it being messy. Like, she’s felt the repercussions of a messy divorce before why is she putting her kids through that?

Luke and Lorelai making literally no progress in their relationship.

Rory having an affair with an engaged Logan. She learned her lesson with Dean.

That Lorelai couldn’t come up with one nice thing to say about Richard at his funeral. He helped her daughter to attend Chilton and then Yale. That was a safe yet sweet thing to say, yet she couldn’t come up with it?

Paris being a surrogate agent. She said she wanted to do cancer research. This job just doesn’t seem like something she’d be interested in.

Rory having a boyfriend that she was always forgetting about/just stringing along.

Wtf was the musical? Like, it didn’t need to be that long and it wasn’t funny in the slightest. Fill that time with, I don’t know, Luke and Lorelai’s wedding maybe??

Building off of the Luke and Lorelai relationship thing—they seriously didn’t talk about kids? What was that whole surrogacy thing? It seemed so out of character. Also, why did they make Luke so dumb about the whole thing? He isn’t dumb.

Sookie’s poorly explain disappearance. Like, I get Melissa McCarthy had a conflicting schedule or something of that sorts, but give a better background? Or just have her come in one day and film a bunch of small scenes of her’s to slowly sprinkle in? I don’t know, it just bugged me.

What was that Mr. Kim thing? C’mon, you can’t just suddenly have him pop up and try to act like we’ve known about him the entire show.

Why was Jess only in, like, five minutes of the entire thing? He was literally there just to push other characters to do stuff (Luke with Lorelai, Rory with her book). What’s he been up to?? Don’t give us a longing look just to have it never discussed again?

So yeah, that’s all I have right now. I’ll probably add to this later bc I know I’m forgetting a lot. Feel free to add more!

Get All Travelling Riverside Blues You Can Take

What must Paul have been thinking with Get All You Can Take (1984) ? "If I'm obviously stealing, then I'm stealing properly and with plenty of steam behind it?"

I think so, because Paul provided the steam and necessary power himself this time, and the result would bring tears of pride to the eyes of any qualified mechanical engineer.

The motif he has appropriated this time comes from Travelling Riverside Blues (1969) by good ol' Led Zeppelin, which itself is a freely interpreted cover version of Robert Johnson's Travelling Riverside Blues, which was released in 1961 but recorded in 1937.

The Led Zeppelin riff version is a kind of a slide guitar wave that builds up in wonderfully relaxed intervals, which each time anew, quite naturally, like warm summer rainwater that cleverly runs off through half a dozen gutters, only to lose itself again in pleasurably thick drops of colorful sound in the ground.

In the Kiss version, a very similar movement sequence takes place, only in a chrome-plated and machine-reinforced form. The only difference is that the built-up tension doesn't dissipate, but swings up and down again and again in this perfectly lubricated hydraulic construction, pumping the necessary energy into Paul as a matter of course, which he certainly needs to cut our ear canals into strips with his infamouse balls-in-the-zipper voice in the following verses.

So good it almost hurts, if you know what I mean (Wink emoji) .

Sookie is wonderful and perfect she’s such a good friend and Jackson is such a goofy guy and Michel is so entertaining I love him very much and Lane is such a sweetheart and I love her story with her mom and ms Patty and Babette and Morey are all silly and Paris and Doyle are so fun and Ceaser is fun and Kirk is Kirk

I don’t understand Lorelei Gilmore and the questionable decisions she makes. However I will always salute her for pulling Luke Danes.
