Every Friend Group TV Show Should Have...

A list of reasons why Rory Gilmore is a good person and not the shallow, manipulative person people make her out to be:

Took full responsibility for breaking Paris’s project and offered to help her fix it despite Paris being only rude to her at this point

Didn’t tell anyone that Paris had to take her cousin to the Chilton formal despite Paris taunting Rory/saying Rory couldn’t get a date

Told Paris that she could talk to her if she ever needed anyone to talk to despite the fact that Paris had just exposed Lorelai and Max kissing to the whole school

Encouraged Tristan to ask out Paris because she knew Paris had feelings for him

Helped Paris get ready for her date with Tristan and allowed her to borrow her mother’s clothes

Reassured her mother several times about her relationship with Max

Agreed to a coming out party because it made her grandmother happy

Helped Paris study numerous times despite Paris almost always antagonizing her

Gave Jess a chance and was nice to him when the rest of the town despised him. She even vouched for him/defended him often.

Took partial responsibility for the car accident with Jess instead of letting him take the entire blame, which the entire town was doing (and she reassured Luke as well).

Dyed Lane’s hair and then also then dyed it again after Lane freaked out (and she even left the Kim house through the window so that Mrs. Kim wouldn’t see her)

Agreed to go with her grandfather to visit Yale to make him happy even though she didn’t really want to and was only interested in Harvard

Apologized to Dean after their break up and took full responsibility for the problems in their relationship (even though it wasn’t all her fault).

Took time out of her busy end of the year schedule (when she was dealing with finals and being valedictorian) to help her grandmother pick out an outfit for her graduation

Went back to Kyle’s house the day after the disastrous party to get Lane’s heavily stained backpack and deliver it to her

Was always super supportive to her friends (Lane with her band, Paris with academics, Lorelai with the Inn, all of them about their relationships, etc.)

Helped her mother throw a baby shower for Sookie (albeit they never got to have said shower).

Took care of Logan when he in the hospital and after even though he hadn’t been the best boyfriend at this point.

Always encouraged Dean to pursue his dreams/passions and told him he could do what he put his mind to.

Anyways this is all I can think of off the top of my head but stop saying Rory Gilmore is a terrible person. Yes, she made mistakes, but everyone does lol

Season 2: Episode 8 "The Ins & Outs of Inns"

The murder prank was funny because of how ridiculous it was and because of how much Taylor overreacted. It was just a little arts and crafts :( well, fine, vandalism, but you would think he REALLY killed someone from Taylor's reaction. Okay, to be fair Taylor did seem to believe there'd been a murder but, hey, that's on him, I don't think anyone else did.

It was kinda fucked how much everyone in town DESPISED Jess because like, again, that's not some random kid, he's Luke's nephew, he's Liz's kid. He's a troublemaker, yes, but like idk isn't community so important to the people of Stars Hollow? What did they even want to do? Vote to have Jess exiled? Where the hell would he go? I guess they don't care about that. Luke standing up for Jess was nice though. Taylor is insane.

Lorelai was incredibly uncool towards Sookie in this episode, Sookie was trying to calm her down and offer ideas when Lorelai started freaking out about the inn and Lorelai was super mean in return. "But I gotta tell you, my back is aching from all the extra slack I'm taking up." Booo, fuck you Lorelai. And then when Sookie wants her to explain why she's so upset Lorelai says she doesn't wanna get into it. Then they get into it and Lorelai comes out with a bunch of non-reasons which aren't even the truth. Good on Sookie for standing up for herself.

The series of events of Rory confronting Jess about not appreciating Luke enough (After they've already known eachother for a while and without making assumptions about Jess's personal life, take notes Lorelai), Jess admiting he didn't know about the town shunning Luke because of him and then Jess fixing Luke's toaster and vehemently denying it. Sigh, they care about eachother so much. They think they're so slick.

Other thoughts:

"Lorelai, would you like me to put a mirror in front of you so you can look at yourself while you have this conversation?" 💀

I've always wanted to try using oil paints, they seem so juicy :(.

"How are you, Jess?" "I'm not bleeding or anything." so hopecore.

We love to see Sookie hating on trump. Also she just seems so excited for the inn, I love her.

"I told him it looked fake but he didn't believe me." "And you have such an honest face. ☹️" "Well, he must not love me as much as you do. 😔" Bro justice for Dean, he used to be so cute.

Poor Michel, his accent is perfectly understandable, give me a break.

Luke as a teen carrying people's groceries home and charging them for it is hilarious to me.

Luke bickering with Taylor at the diner was fantastic, amazing line delivery from both actors.

I liked getting to meet Mia but she didn't particularly stand out as a character to me, for someone who has been so important to Lorelai and Rory's story she just was a bit unremarkable. That might just be me though.

Oh, holy shit, the town troubadour has a 12 string guitar, how bougie of him, how did I never notice that?

I hate when people start apologies with "I hate myself for--" like, cool, that makes two of us, I don't feel bad for you.
