Summary: Azzi’s been one of your best friends since you were a kid. Transferring to UConn was not easy, but having your best friend by your side made it better. That is until you meet a familiar pair of blue eyes that Azzi makes you swear is off-limits.
“Azzi, I can’t do this no more,” you said, pausing to take a long breath out of exhaustion. “Too many boxes.”
Azzi pushed the last box into your new dorm room behind you. Transferring from UMiami to UConn was not what you had in mind a year ago, but after finishing your sophomore year, you knew you needed something different, even if you didn’t want to leave the beautiful Florida beaches behind. When Azzi brought up the idea of you transferring to UConn, at first you didn’t consider it, but waking up every day to a text from your best friend giving you a reason to why you should transfer to her school may have been enough to convince you.
“It’s your fault for packing up this much shit.” She opens up one of the boxes beside you and reaches for an old psychology textbook. “I mean why are you bringing shit like this with you? You’re not even majoring in psychology.”
You take the book away from her, earning a laugh in return. “You never know when you might need it. Besides, this has all of my old notes in it from when I took psychology freshman year…it could be useful.”
Azzi plops onto your new bed, putting her hands behind her head as she lies down. “You call it useful, I call it hoarding.”
Slightly offended at her joke, you take a pillow from the floor and throw it at her. “Watch your mouth, Fudd.”
Azzi catches the pillow with ease and holds it in her lap. “On that note, I’m glad you’re here.”
“Me too,” you say, smiling at her. You cross your arms over your chest. “At least now I can finally see you ball in person.”
Azzi let out a laugh that proved your point. “Perfect timing now that I’m cleared to play, don’t you think?”
“You calling me your lucky charm or what?” You send a playful wink and Azzi being Azzi, she blushes before rolling her eyes.
“Stop fucking flirting with me.”
You burst out laughing. “Azzi, babes you need to work on your game,” you say between laughs. “And I’m not talking about ball.”
Azzi could practically get her eyes stuck in the back of her head from the amount of times she was rolling her eyes at you. “You always do this. Enough.”
“It’s not my fault my best friend is so hot,” you continue laughing. “I know I’m not the only one flirting with you.”
“I swear you’re just like Paige,” she says under her breath just enough for you to hear it.
“Paige…like your teammate Paige? From USA basketball camp?”
Azzi meets your eyes and nods. “Yeah, she’s a freak. Always says she’s got ‘top rizz in the world’ or something like that,” she puts her fingers up in air quotations. “She somehow got worse from high school.
“That’ll be crazy to see.” You’ve heard of Paige Bueckers. Who hasn’t? You remember when Azzi first brought her up after competing with her for team USA back in high school. The first time you met Paige was when she flew to Virginia to visit Azzi during her state championship and Katie had you two meet. She definitely made her presence known back then, especially at Azzi’s games, yelling at the refs and constantly bumping into your shoulders.
You remember one night specifically when it was Azzi’s birthday party and when everyone went to sleep, you and Paige went out on a late Taco Bell run because there was no more pizza left. That was the first time you had a real conversation with the blonde girl. And you weren’t oblivious; you noticed when her gaze lasted on you for more than it should’ve. And she always noticed when yours lasted on hers too long. And when you leaned in a little more than you should have; and she mirrored your action.
The last time you saw Paige Bueckers as a friend, you had just received your decision letter from UMiami and had gone to Azzi’s house to open the letter. You remember screaming and jumping with Azzi and her family when you read that you had been accepted. Paige had walked up to you to congratulate you on your admission with a fist bump. The touch was electric and you swore that for five minutes after, you could still feel her knuckles against yours.
Hours later after dinner with the Fudd’s, you walked out of their house to get into your car when you heard footsteps behind you.
“Yo, wait.”
You turn around, seeing Paige in front of you. “What’s up?”
“I’m very happy for you. Miami seems cool.”
You furrow your eyebrows, confused as to why she stopped you to say this again when she had said it earlier. “Thanks. Good luck at UConn.”
“Thanks,” she says and pauses, looking as if she was contemplating her next sentence. “Is this the last time I’m seeing you?”
You shrug, “I don’t know. If you ever visit Azzi during breaks, then you’ll probably see me.”
“And if I don’t want to wait until breaks?”
You were taken back. “What?”
“Like when Azzi comes to UConn, which she will, you’ll come visit?”
You shrug again. “Depends on how things go.”
“I’ve actually been wanting to say something to you since that night at Taco Bell.” She looked down at the ground before looking back up at you.
“Okay.”
“Look, what we did…I just want you to know that you kinda been on my mind since.”
You nod slowly. “It’s really hard to take you seriously when you refer to it as ‘that night at Taco Bell.’”
Paige lets out a low laugh. “What would you call it then?”
“Call it what it is. We made out in your car that happened to be parked in the Taco Bell parking lot.”
Paige smiles. “So you’d be down to do it again then?”
“Don’t tell Azzi.”
“Deal.”
“How is Paige?” You ask Azzi, pretending as if you’re just making normal conversation but really, you’re waiting to hear the information you’ve known since you cut things off with Paige.
Azzi shrugged. “Annoying as fuck, ego through the roof, always laughing. So basically the same since you last saw her.”
“Yeah, she’s grown into a bit of a celebrity hasn’t she?”
“Yeah. Have you seen the edits?”
You nod.
“You know what, I should text Paige. Let her know you transferred,” she says, taking out her phone. “I’m sure she’ll be stoked to see you.”
Your eyes widened. “I’m sure she’s busy enough.”
Azzi shook her head. “No she’s not, trust. She asks about you sometimes.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, but I just tell her to text you since she has your number.” Azzi continues to text on her phone, not looking up at you once.
“Like I said, probably busy.”
Azzi puts her phone down after she finishes her text. “One thing I want to talk to you about though.”
“Yeah?” You meet her gaze and bite your lip, waiting to see what she’ll see.
“Paige is a bit different,” she tells you. “I don’t know what happened but after she graduated and came here, she became a bit of a fuckboy. So, if she flirts with you or anything like that, don’t think too much into it because she now flirts with everything with a heartbeat.”
“That’s…interesting,” you comment, knowing the answer as to why she changed. “Out of curiosity, what do you think happened?”
Azzi shrugged. “Don’t tell her I’m telling you this but the Summer before she left for UConn, I think she had a girlfriend or something. She started getting like secretive as fuck and more happy in a way. Then after she left for college, I think they broke up because she was in a slump and started hooking up with girl after girl.”
“Do you know who the girl was?”
Azzi shook her head. “Not at all, but I do know that she broke Paige’s heart. So I automatically hate her by default.”
If only she knew that girl was standing right in front of her.
“Azzi I told you I don’t want to go out tonight,” you argue, trying to walk back to your dorm.
Azzi’s hand grabs yours and pulls you into step with her. “No, you need to make more friends and I want you to meet the rest of my team.”
“Maybe another time,” you continue to argue. This was the moment you had been dreading when you knew that Azzi would eventually drag you out to see her teammates. More specifically, Paige.
“No, you’re going.”
Azzi opens the door to Ted’s and waits for you to walk in before she does. You immediately scan the bar, looking for the tall blonde and your skin immediately started to crawl when you realized she was nowhere in sight. She should be here, you thought to yourself. This is her place, why isn’t she here?
You tried to convince yourself that you wanted nothing to do with her after you chose to walk away from her, but deep down you knew that was a load of bullshit. You just needed to see her.
“Azzi, over here!” A voice called out from over the loud music in the bar. Both you and Azzi looked over to your left being met with a table full of girls, some of which wearing UConn merchandise. You had recognized some of them from when Azzi would post them on Instagram.
Azzi grabbed your hand and pulled you over to the table. Still there was no sign of Paige.
“This is Y/n,” Azzi said as she introduced you to her teammates. “She just transferred from Miami.”
You take a small step behind Azzi, meeting the eyes of all the tall girls who sat there looking at you. “Hi.” Was all you could say because even though Paige wasn’t there, you could practically feel her presence in the air. And that put you even more on edge.
“Girl boo, why you so nervous?” A girl who you recognized from Azzi’s instagram walked to stand beside you, draping an arm over your shoulder. “Azzi been talking shit behind our backs or something?”
“KK, can you not?” Azzi laughs over the loud music and grabs a drink that was sitting on the table. “You’re going to scare her off.”
“How can we scare her off? She’s already friends with you,” KK retaliates and the entire table erupts in laughter.
“KK that’s so mean.” A girl who you learn to be Aubrey, says.
After a while you begin to let loose, taking the drinks that Azzi keeps offering you, knowing that at any moment she could show up and you wanted to be drunk for it. It wasn’t a surprise that the team took you in as if you were one of their own and Azzi couldn’t be happier that you had acclimated so quickly.
You felt like you’ve been at Ted’s for days, dancing and drinking so much that you felt as if your entire body could explode within a matter of seconds. You normally weren’t much of the party type, even back in Miami. Sure, you had your fair share of frat and sorority parties but you never stayed for more than a few hours, and it helped that your roommate wasn’t that much into the party scene either.
“So what are you studying?” KK asks you as she sips on a coke.
It takes a while for her words to register with you as your head is being pulled in a million different directions. “Um,” you start, shaking your head as the music somehow gets louder. “Switched from psychology to business my sophomore year.”
KK’s eyes widened slightly. “Period. That’s a huge switch girl.”
You nod, “Yeah, uh…” You can’t feel your head. You can’t organize your thoughts. It’s all too much. You squint your eyes and make eye contact with her. “If you see Azzi, tell her I’m going to get some fresh air. I’ll be right back.”
“O-okay,” KK said with a concerned expression, making you waste no time in heading towards the bar’s exit.
As soon as you feel that air rushing to you, you were finally calming down. You took this moment to ground yourself and lean against the wall of the bar, catching your breath. She’s not coming, no reason to freak out. You grab your phone to check the time, seeing that it was only 11:30 p.m. You shut your eyes, feeling yourself becoming even calmer.
A car door slams about a couple hundred feet away from you and the hair on the back of your neck immediately stands up.
“I told you I didn’t want to come here tonight. Is it so hard to understand that I just wanted to spend time with you alone?” A high-pitched voice echoes through the air.
“And I told you we could have done that any other day. Just not today.” That sounds familiar.
“Why? What’s so special about today that you have to come to Ted’s?” The girl seemed so pissed you could have sworn she would have left by now.
That familiar voice sounded irritated. “Team’s here and I want to hang with them.”
“You see them everyday.”
“Please baby?”
Just look up and open your eyes.
“Fine but you owe me.”
What sounds like a kiss makes it’s way to your ears, making you almost gag on instinct. “I’ll make it up to you, don’t worry.”
And that’s when you look up and see the tall blonde you have been dreading to see since you arrived in Connecticut. Everything about her was still so perfect. How was that even possible? Those hands you had held, lips you had kissed, arms you’ve been in. The smiles she would give you. It all came rushing back in that instant. Azzi was right, she looked just fine out here without you. You convinced yourself that you would be better without her, finding someone new and moving on. Only in this moment, you realized that she had moved on with someone else and you were stuck right back in the place you had started.
And when her eyes glance up as she’s about to walk into the bar and locks with yours, it’s enough to make her stop in her tracks and make her arms fall to her sides. It’s enough to make you wonder if she really was just fine. You can’t look away and neither can she. Her body tells you that she’s different. That she doesn’t know you anymore. But her eyes tell you that she’s the same girl from senior year. The same girl from the late night drives and secret makeouts. The same girl who told you to come to UConn with her before you left.
You wake up with a pounding headache, feeling groggy and uncomfortable as you shifted to get out of bed. You pick up your phone which is filled with missed messages from Azzi.
Where you at?
KK said you went out for air but you never came back. U ok?
Should I be sending out a search party for you?
Paige just got here and said she didn’t see you outside.
Didn’t see you? That bitch. You were all she could see for maybe five whole fucking minutes. You text Azzi back: sorry had a pounding headache so went back to the dorm. Sad I missed her, maybe next time.
You put your phone back down to change into a new outfit, figuring the best way to distract yourself from Paige would be to go to the dining hall and eat. After getting changed, you grab your phone and walk out of your dorm room, locking it behind you. When you turn back around, you’re met with a tall body in front of you from across the hall.
“Y/n.” Paige is standing in front of you, hair messy and sweatpants just a bit lower than her waistline, exposing the band of her boxers. It was clear to you where she was coming from. And just your luck that you would be living across the hall from her fuckbuddy.
You wanted to scream at her. For what? You had no idea. You wanted her to feel how you felt last night. Every piece of it. So you may have said the most stupidest response you could have ever said at that moment. “Do I know you?”
Her head tilted slightly, the smallest flash of hurt in her eyes. She bites her lip before responding, “You can’t be serious.”
“You should pull up your pants, fuckboy isn’t a good look on you.” And all you do is walk away, leaving her there in the hallway because even though you want to talk to her, you have to move on now. And she needed to know that.
We need to talk.
You don’t get to be upset with me.
You put your phone on Do Not Disturb, letting out a long sigh before putting on Azzi’s jersey. Today they were playing Seton Hall at home and Azzi immediately dropped off her jersey at your dorm, saying you needed to ‘represent your team and show your support.’ In other words, she wanted to make you finally wear her jersey after you had refused to wear it since high school.
You meet up with Kayla early at Gampel, making sure to get good seats to be able to see the court up close. Azzi had introduced you to Kayla shortly after meeting her teammates and the two of you clicked instantly. Because even though she was good friends with the team, she understood what it was like being on the sidelines while they focused on basketball.
“Did Azzi make you wear her jersey?” Kayla asked you, eyeing the huge 35 that was written across your torso.
You laugh, nodding to her as you take a picture of the court on your phone. “Yeah, she’s been trying to get me to wear her jersey since high school. I figured I’d finally let her win that battle.”
Kayla laughs along with you. “She tried to get me to wear it too so I opted for a shirt with her face on it. Same with Paige.”
You hated to admit it but your eyes lit up at the mention of Paige. “Bet Paige loved that.”
“Yeah, she did.” Kayla looks over at you. “You’ve known her for a while right?”
“Paige?” you ask. “Yeah, I met her back in high school when she came to visit Azzi.”
Kayla raised her eyebrows. “So how was she in high school? Huge ego or no?”
You let out a quiet laugh. “Ego is always huge. But from what I remember, she was cool. We got along well and she was insane when it came to basketball. Still is.”
“Were you guys close?”
You stay silent for a while, trying to choose the right words. Because you two were as close as two girls could be and nobody knew that. But now you were as far apart as you had been before you had even met. “Something like that.”
The lights dimmed and the announcer came on, announcing the team as each player ran out. Azzi comes running out of the locker room, a huge grin plastered across her face. As soon as she makes it onto the court, she flashes you a smile and sends you a thumbs up, which you return. She sits down as the others run through and you wait for Paige to come out. She was the last to run through and you could feel your heart physically leap out of your chest for her. Fucking embarrassing.
Paige high-fives fans through the tunnels and goes to sit down by Azzi, not before meeting your eyes in the crowd, making her stop in her tracks for just a split second before sitting down. Her eyes were taunting, almost daring you to make a move. And by the look in her eyes, she wasn’t going to reject it either. At least that’s what you were thinking.
The game starts with UConn winning the tip-off and Kaitlyn getting possession of the ball. Throughout the quarter, Paige couldn’t stop making eye contact with you and you knew better than anyone that just your presence alone was enough to throw her off her game. She missed shot after shot resulting in a furious Geno yelling more than usual on the sideline. After missing two free throws, Azzi pats Paige on the back, giving her a look that screams ‘get it together.’ You could tell Paige was tense by the way her hands were balled into fists when she didn't have possession of the ball. She constantly tightened the elastic of her ponytail, a habit she had when she got nervous.
By halftime, Paige looked defeated and maybe that was your cue to leave. It was hard to believe that an ex-girlfriend from high school would be enough to throw off the game of the number one women’s college basketball player in the world. But here we are.
You knew Paige was feeling out of her element, watching past UConn games during your free time back in Miami. She was a good player. A good enough player to not be playing in a funk. Was your presence that triggering?
Eventually, Paige was subbed out, an irritated expression across her face as she sat down on the bench with her shoulders slumped. Caroline sat beside her, patting her shoulder gently to aid her in comfort. Paige took a sip of water before using a towel to wipe off the remaining sweat from her face. You go from staring at the back of her head to making eye contact with her as she turns to look at you. You quickly look away, completely embarrassed over the fact that Paige knew you were definitely already looking at her.
You look down at your feet and then back up towards the game when Paige catches your eye again, nudging her head towards the locker room. You shake your head, trying not to make it obvious to Kayla who was too engrossed in the game even to notice the small interaction. Paige’s mouth created a small line as she gave you an urgent look, resulting in you sighing and getting up out of your seat to walk to the locker room.
You meet her just past the door. “What?”
Paige closes the door to the locker room, leaving only you two inside. She leans against the door and crosses her arms together in front of her chest. “You’re ignoring me.”
You mimic her movement and cross your arms against your chest. “Ignoring what exactly?”
Paige rolls her eyes. “Don’t fucking be like that. You don’t get to be pissed at me. Why the fuck are you upset with me? I haven’t seen you in four years, Y/n.”
Your name came so effortlessly from her mouth like muscle memory. The way her jersey clung to her body, your eyes outlining her biceps up to her eyes. She was magical. You tear your eyes away, not wanting to make it obvious. “I’m not fucking upset with you. I actually haven’t thought about you once since I’ve been here.”
Paige laughs at that. “Not once? Because the way you looked at me outside of Ted’s and outside of your dorm makes it seem like you have a grudge against me or something.”
“I don’t,” you say, avoiding eye contact with her. “What exactly do you want me to say? It’s clear you moved on.”
Paige’s eyes widened, practically popping out her face. “That’s what this is about? Because of that girl you saw me with?” She unravels her arms from each other and points at you. “You fucking broke up with me four years ago. Why the fuck are you upset about me getting with other people?”
“I’m not fucking upset!” you scream as it echoes across the locker room. “I’m trying to leave you in my fucking past and you keep popping up like a goddamn fly.”
“So you thought transferring to the school where I play basketball was a good way to leave me in your past?” she asked you with a dumbfounded look on her face.
“Not everything is about you, Paige,” you say. “I transferred here because I needed out of Miami and Azzi came up with the idea. I don’t care who you date.”
“Right because you definitely weren’t pissed to the point where you pretended you didn’t know who I was when you walked out of your dorm a few weeks ago.”
“Paige.” Your tone becomes lighter. “Up until that night outside Ted’s, I hadn’t seen you since right before I left for Miami. And you look so different to the point where I don’t recognize you.”
Paige rolls her eyes. “It’s called aging.”
You shake your head, giving her an annoyed look. “I’m not talking about your physical look. I’m talking about senior year Paige who went on late-night drives with me.”
“Well, that was the same Paige who got her heart broken by a girl who didn’t even bother trying to make it work. It was clear you weren’t that into me like I was with you.” You could hear the pain in her voice and that made your heart hurt. Even after four years.
“I didn’t break your heart. I’ve heard the stories about what you’ve been up to since we broke up and it seems like you’re doing just fine.”
Paige shifts her body so that she’s standing in front of you again, practically forcing eye contact. Her having a towering height over you didn’t help either. “And what have you heard?”
You meet her eyes and shrug. “Apparently you get around a lot.”
She shoots you a disgusted look. “And you haven’t? Azzi’s told me about the girls you’ve dated since you left.”
You roll your eyes once more. “Okay.”
“You seem to be really into blue eyes and blonde hair by the way. I wonder who set that type up for you.” Paige smirked at her remark, resulting in you letting out a loud scoff.
“At least I tried to date the girls I was seeing.” You take a step closer. “Do all the hookups help?”
Paige looks down at you, taking a step closer with her hands behind her back. “To get rid of the thought of you? What do you think?” You can’t think of anything else to say and she knows it. She knows she’s getting you right where she wants you. “Why are you upset that I was with another girl?”
“It’s hard not to feel some type of way,” you say quietly, mumbling so fast to save your own dignity.
Paige leans closer. “Sorry, what was that? Couldn’t quite hear you.”
You sigh heavily before repeating, “It’s hard not to feel some type of way.”
She leans even closer. “One more time.”
“Don’t be a dick.” You pull away from her and she lets out a laugh.
“So after four years, you’re jealous?”
“And you wouldn’t be?”
The look on her face was priceless. Amused yet confused because five minutes ago you were just screaming at her and now you just admitted to your ex-girlfriend that she made you jealous. Paige stepped closer and you had no interest in stepping back. It took everything in you not to step even closer to her.
“You’re infuriating and I should hate you.”
You tilt your head up to her. “And do you?”
“Shut the fuck up.” In a second, she’s on you. Pulling at your clothes and moving her mouth with yours. You waste no time in responding to her touch, moving your lips against hers while your fingers tangle into her ponytail. You let a hand drift down to the base of her jawline and all those old, high-school feelings came rushing back. In that moment you realized just how much of a hold she had over you, her touch bleeding into yours.
This kiss made up for four years of mistakes. Four years of missing her and regretting that decision you made. You needed to prove to her that it wasn’t going to happen again. And by the way her tongue fought against yours was as if she believed it too. Your heart beat picked up as you both fell into a steady and rough rhythm. Paige couldn’t decide whether she wanted her hands around your waist or caressing your lower back, moving her hands upward. You could feel Paige craving you as she moved her lips faster, more aggressively. You kept your hands on her jaw to stabilize yourself as you thought you might faint. You could smell the subtle musk mixed with sweat that drifted off of her, the heat coming off her body and pulling you in.
“What the fuck?” Azzi’s voice pulled your lips apart, causing you to instantly take a step away from Paige, whose hands still lingered on your back.
The two of you, swollen lips and sweaty hands, turn to Azzi who looks as if she has seen a ghost, dropping the towel she was holding from pure shock.
Paige wipes her lips, looking from you back to Azzi. “Az, hey.”
Azzi’s eye twitched, insinuating that she was clearly pissed. “Hey?” Azzi takes a step forward. “What the fuck did I just see?”
You turn to fully face Azzi and Paige looks back at you. You step towards Azzi. “Azzi, I swear this isn’t what it looks like.”
“That’s bullshit. I just saw my two best friends making out.”
You shake your head, “No, no…” you pause. “Well yeah, but we’re not together or anything. It just happened. A one-time thing, I swear.”
Paige’s head snaps toward yours. You fucked up once again. “One-time thing?”
Azzi looks between the two of you. “Y/n, what is she talking about?”
A million thoughts ran through your head, debating if you should tell Azzi that you and Paige had dated. It felt wrong to keep it from her for this long. You sigh, scratching the back of your neck. “Paige and I used to date back in high school.”
“What?” Azzi asked, clearly hurt written over her face.
You walk towards her so that you’re now right in front of her. “That night at your sleepover when Paige was visiting, we left to go to Taco Bell and things happened in the parking lot which turned into us secretly dating for a while.”
Azzi shook her head and looked to Paige, looking for any sense of clarity. “Paige?”
Paige couldn’t look at her, light tears lining her eyes. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you.”
Azzi’s head drops. “So you both have been lying to me this whole time? Why didn’t you say anything?”
“I didn’t want to mess up our friendship or mess up yours and Paige’s,” you say, trying to justify your mistake.
Azzi couldn’t even look at you. “This is fucked, Y/n.” She paces the locker room and suddenly pauses, turning towards you. “You’re the girl.”
“What?”
“The girl who broke Paige’s heart.” Azzi looks between the two of you again. “It was you this entire time?”
Paige steps in front of you, waving her hand slowly in front of Azzi to try to calm her down. “Azzi, that was four years ago.”
Azzi laughs. “So the entire time I watched you hurting was because of my best friend?”
You turn to Paige who avoids eye contact with you. You turn back to Azzi. “It was fucking high school, Azzi. We were both going to college. What was I supposed to do?”
Azzi grits her teeth, pointing a finger in your face. “You weren’t supposed to lie to me. Do you think I would have cared if you dated Paige in high school? No. But now I know that for the past four years, the two of you have been lying to me.”
“Azzi, we didn’t want to hurt you.” Paige stepped in for you, trying to diffuse the situation.
“If you really don’t want to hurt me, you won’t see each other anymore,” Azzi says.
You and Paige both widen your eyes. “What?”
“It would make me more comfortable if you guys didn’t hang out alone. At least not for a while.”
You go to object, wanting to work this out with her to reach any other solution. Because keeping you and Paige apart was not going to end well.
Paige beats you to it. “Anything you want, Azzi.”
Your heart stops and your head snaps to her. How…why? Did she blame you for everything that’s happened? Why would she agree to that so quickly?
The two of them looked at you as they anticipated your answer. You blink a few times, trying to process Paige’s answer. “If that’s what you want then yeah, no problem at all.”
Azzi gives you both a light smile, nodding in agreement. “Okay good. That makes me feel a lot better actually.” Azzi picks up the towel she dropped on the floor, tossing it into a dirty towel bin. She waves Paige over. “Come on, we gotta go.”
Azzi leaves the locker room as Paige turns to you. “Not really sure what to say.”
You roll your eyes. “Really? Because it sounded like you were very sure when you told Azzi you’d do whatever she wanted.”
Paige leans toward your ear, whispering, “Payback’s a bitch isn’t it?”
And just like that, Paige is gone. Again.

—
It was game night at the beach, one of the days you dreaded. You always hoped for a higher level game as crazy as that sounded, you wanted to stay away from the games for as long as possible. Fortunately for you, your visa didn’t expire for another 5 days so you could sit this game day out. However, unfortunately for you, chishiya’s expired tomorrow meaning he had to leave this time. He kissed you goodbye before he zipped up his jacket and got ready to leave, you stayed in the doorway of your room for a little longer than usual, watching him leave.
You didn’t have much to do while he was gone, kuina left for a game too and it wasnt like you were allowed to leave the beach. You didn’t really know anyone besides the two of them anyways so you decided to go down to the bar to get a drink in the meantime. Nothing interesting happened, you got your drink and left. You had no idea what time it was but you knew it had been longer than an hour when you stopped staring at the ceiling, your drink long gone. A click snapped you out of your thought as the door opened revealing a disheveled and bloodstained chishiya.
Your eyes widened as you immediately slid off the bed, eyes assessing him to make sure that he wasn’t hurt. Your hands found purchase on his forearms before you could stop yourself, his jacket miraculously clean but the same could not be said for his face. The blood had been there so long it started drying and you could only assume it wasn’t his. You could tell he wasnt worried about it, more disgusted at the fact someone else’s blood was on his face than anything.
“Im okay, someone’s neck just exploded all over my face.” He said, his voice low as he looked at you.
Your eyes widened for a split second before your eyebrows furrowed, you knew thoes stupid fucking exploding collars were only ever used for hearts games. Your face scrunched up pensively at the thought of him in one, your grip tightening slightly on his arms. Your first game was a hearts game, you and one other person had survived and you spent the rest of the night staring into nothing as the memories kept playing in your head. You’d known chishiya before you both gotten sent to the borderlands, you were a nurse at the hospital he worked at and tried to keep it a secret that you were dating knowing it would cause trouble for your job but you were lucky to find him after you got sent to this place.
You slowly wrapped your arms around chishiya, more of a comfort to yourself than to him. He sighed, wrapping his arms around you in retaliation carefully as to not to put his face on you. You let go of him eventually, ushering him towards to bathroom to shower. He closed the door behind him, clothes in hand that you had given him and it didn’t take long before you heard the shower running. You tried not to stand outside the door like a creep, moving to sit on the hotel room bed as you played with the glass your drink used to be in.
—
After a while chishiya exited the bathroom, a cloud of steam following as he did so. You raised up from your comfortable position before he made his way towards you, your hands finding their way to his now bare hips as he’d decided not to put his jacket back on. You pulled him down making him grunt and fall down onto you, you smiled a little as he raised his upper body to glare at you before smiling himself, albeit a little cocky; you could tell he was glad you weren’t looking at him with that depressing look on your face still. he lowered himself back down but a lot more gentle as he had control of his actions this time.
“I was worried about you.” You mumbled, your lips moving against his neck.
He hummed before speaking, “yeah?”
You rolled your eyes —not that he could tell—before confirming your worry for him. You were always worried when it came to the games, you didnt want to lose him. You squeezed him closer to you, pressing your lips against his neck. He sighed from above before rolling off of you, your face following as you moved over a little to get comfortable when he did so. You moved slightly, pressing a kiss to his Adam’s apple before looking up at him.
Chishiya hummed, a low sound in his chest almost akin to a purr as he reached to take your shirt off. You raised your arms up so he could pull it off fully, moving them to the back of his neck to pull his lips towards yours when he was finished. The kiss you shared was softer than usual, a kiss with chishiya was usually suffocating, in a good way. As you continued your hands found their way to his swim shorts, untying the string keeping them taut before pulling them down. He broke the kiss paying attention to getting you undressed as well.
The position you both found yourself in was interesting to say the least. Your leg finding purchase on top of his hip while your hand gripped at his hair; pressing short but sweet kisses to his lips that he reciprocated as he slid his cock into you. His hand rested on your hip to keep you in place, his cock stretching you as he went deeper. A heavy breath left him as he bottomed out, he stilled and pressed kisses to your jaw and neck not wanting to rush. He mumbled something unintelligible against your skin before raising his head up to look at your blissed out face.
Your hand moved down from his neck to his shoulders as he began to move as a slow pace; although it was still fast enough to feel good. Your nails dug into his shoulder before you wrapped your arm around him, pushing your head to bury it his neck where his shoulders and head met. You felt chishiyas lips against your own shoulder, whispering something about how good you felt against it. You were sure chishiya felt the smile against him as much as you knew he had a smug look on his face.
The feeling of his cock hitting the spot inside of you that made your head spin caused you to drop your head down to rest on your arm as well as let a moan leave your lips. You heard chishiya chuckle earning a light slap against his back from you as a small blissed out smile graced your face once more. He thrusted into you a bit harder in retaliation causing you to let out a strangled noise as your fingers dug into him, a quiet curse leaving your mouth.
You could feel chishiya coaxing you from your position, no doubt wanting to press his lips against yours for the nth time that night. You let him, pulling yourself from your previous position to lock your lips with his. His hands eventually found their way to the back of your neck before speeding up his pace. Your kiss was broken as you gasped into his mouth, the sudden change causing you to throw your head back with a loud moan. You didnt have to look back down to know chishiya had a shit eating grin on his face, you could picture it perfectly even in your pleasured state.
You couldn’t even tell tears were fathering in your eyes and falling down your cheeks until you felt chishiya using his thumbs to wipe them away, pressing his lips to your face as he did so. A quiet whisper of a praise falling out of his mouth as he pushed you up and down on his cock you with his hands on your hips. You clenched around him at the feeling of him so deep inside of you, his movements stuttering as he let out a groan. There was no doubt he was close , you could tell by the look on his face, his eyebrows furrowed and his mouth open slightly. But he also knew you were close too, the way you were clenching around him paired with your nails digging into him gave you away.
“Y’gonna cum, hm?” He teased a bit as he looked at you with lust clouded eyes.
You couldn’t get out a verbal answer, settling on nodding frantically. He nodded back before smashing his lips against yours for the final time as you came, his cock twitching as he came inside of you. He stayed like that for a while as you both came down from your highs before pulling out, careful not to get the sheets dirty, he doubted either of you would want to change the sheets after that. You were both breathing heavy as you calmed down, you reached for chishiya’s farthest hand, holding it before you scooted closer to his to rest your head on his chest.

Gi hun X F!Reader: The look of love, the rush of blood
Warnings: smut, fluff, safe sex, penetration(p in v), cunnilingus, oral (f receiving), post game Gi hun, confessions, porn with plot, no use of y/n, female reader
Word count: 3,1K (the thirst for this man is real)
You were laying down, your hands wrapped around a book as you waited. You knew he’d be back soon. The truth was you weren’t even really interested in what you were reading, you just needed to distract yourself. You’d gotten off early tonight and even though you should probably be sleeping you couldn’t seem to close your eyes. Not when Gi hun was still out there, looking for the man that had plagued his thoughts for the last three years.
He’d found you a year after the games. You’d been working at a bar back then and he’d stumbled in one night. You’d noticed his somber expression the moment he’d sat down. You got all types of people coming to the bar but there was something different about Gi hun. A dark cloud seemed to follow him wherever he went. It made you want to know him.
It started off as small banter, he’d come for a drink and you’d spend the rest of your night trying to tug a smile for his lips. It never worked of course. His burden was too heavy. It had made him cold and cut off. Still, he couldn’t find it in him to tell you to leave him alone. You were the one bright thing in the miserable life he’d started leading since he’d left the games.
He wasn't even sure what had made him talk to you one night. Perhaps the loneliness had finally gotten to him. Or maybe he just needed to get some of the weight off his shoulders. He’d told you about the games and the salesman and the rest of it. You listened to him without judgment. When he finally finished speaking he’d expected you to tell him he was crazy or that he’d had too much to drink but you just stayed quiet for a moment. And then you’d said something that had surprised him immensely.
“How can I help?”
The rest was history. Try as he might, Gi hun couldn’t seem to get you to give up on the idea of helping him. And after a while he stopped trying to convince you. He liked the company. Sure, he had the men who worked for him but that was different. They were there because he was paying them. You were here because you wanted to be. You’d started spending so much time at the motel that Gi hun had given you your own room. You hadn't moved in exactly but you would sleep there most nights. You’d told him it was because you felt safer knowing that he was nearby but the truth was you felt like you needed to keep an eye on him. You knew he was motivated but you also worried for his health. All he did was sit in his car everyday and watch his monitors every night. It wasn’t good for him to be so consumed with his task. No matter how noble it was.
You flipped over another page, eyes moving over the words absentmindedly. Your head snapped up at the sound of footsteps. You looked down the hall, waiting as the footsteps got closer. Gi hun frame came into view.
“How many times have I told you to lock your door?”
“Oh relax. I knew it was you.”
“And if it wasn’t?”
You rolled your eyes, leaning over the bed to reach beneath it. You pulled out a pistol before leaning back into your prior position. You raised the gun and closed one of your eyes, aiming at Gi hun with expert precision.
“Then I would have shot you.”
Gi hun leaned against the doorway for a moment. His eyes raked over your body, noticing the way your shorts were bunched up, leaving your thighs barely covered. It took all his strength to not show you how much the sight affected him. “I brought dinner.”
You smiled at him, moving to hide the gun before getting up from the bed. You made your way past Gi hu, walking to the makeshift “dining room”. Gi hun watched you for a moment, eyes catching on the sway of your ass before he shook his head.
“Stop it.”
“What?”
“Nothing!”
You lay the table as Gi hun unwrapped the takeout containers. You hummed as you moved around, swaying slightly to the sound of your own voice. Gi hun couldn’t help but smile at the sound. He didn't allow himself to have a radio, knowing it would call too much attention. But ever since you’d joined him he didn’t feel the need for the machine. Not when he had you as his very own jukebox. The chairs scraped against the floor as the two of you sat down. You ate in silence for a while. It didn’t feel awkward. After two years you’d grown used to the quiet manner in which Gi hun behaved. You never forced conversation, fully content on just being around the man.
“What were you reading?”
“Some dumb romance.”
“Not a fan?”
“I’ve got nothing against it but it’s just so…”
“Sappy?”
“PG 13.”
Gi hun almost choked at your words. He let out a small cough, wide eyes moving to look up at you. You were completely unaware of the thoughts your words had made rush into Gi huns mind. He wondered what you normally read.
“But it helps to distract me so I can't complain. You okay?”
You were looking at Gi hun now, noticing the slight blush that coated his face. You raised your eyebrows, slightly amused at his reaction. You didn’t mind talking about this sort of stuff, you were shameless that way. But Gi hun seemed to have a harder time. What you didn’t know is that this difficulty was due to you. Over the years Gi hun had found himself growing fond of you. It had been a while since he’d lived, in the broad sense of the word, with a woman. Not counting his mother of course. Being around you made him feel like a horny teenager. And that made him feel pathetic.
“Anyway, how was your day?”
He welcomed the change of subject. Gi hun told you about the searches and the dead ends. The two of you continued to chat through dinner and no matter what subject you were discussing, Gi hun's mind couldn’t seem to get the dirty thoughts in control. You’d cleaned up the dinner table, saying goodnight before making your way to your room. Gi hun watched you walk away, his eyes lingering in the space you’d occupied before moving to focus on his cameras.
You’d been trying to sleep for what felt like hours. When you’d finally realised it wasn’t going to happen you shifted to turn on the lights, grabbing the book you’d been reading before settling back in bed. You’d made it through one chapter when there was a knock on the door.
“You awake?”
“Yeah, come in Gi hun.”
The door opened slowly, Gi hun lingered on the doorway for a moment before stepping into the room.
“Everything okay?”
“Oh yeah, I just couldn’t sleep.”
He gave you a sheepish look and you smiled.
“Neither could i. Well don’t just stand there, come here.”
Gi hun moved over to the bed. You hadn’t shifted from your position, your head rested on the pillow, your feet placed on the mattress, knees bent towards the ceiling. It was only when he’d made it to the edge of the bed that he realized you were only in your underwear and a flimsy sleep shirt. Normally on nights like these, when neither of you could sleep, Gi hun would make his way over to your room, lying beside you for a couple hours before sleep seemed to take over your body. You were normally the first to succumb to slumber. Gi hun would watch you for a moment before rising from your bed and moving to cover you up with the sheets. He’d turn off the lights and close your door before moving to his own room. But tonight something was different. Tonight Gi hun seemed to get the nerve to do something he’d wanted to do for a long time.
He hesitated for a moment at the edge of the bed, trying to steal his nerves. Before he could chicken out, he placed a knee on the mattress. You watched him crawl over to you. You’d expected him to stop once he’d reached your legs but he didn’t. Instead he continued to crawl until his body was over yours. He gazed into your eyes for a moment and you felt the breath catch in your throat. Then he did something you expected even less. He laid down on your chest, his body resting against yours. Your legs caged his waist as he relaxed into you. It took you a moment to realize this was actually happening and that you weren’t dreaming. You could feel Gi huns breath against your neck. Instinctively your hand moved to caress his locks, causing him to let out a small noise of satisfaction. His nose shifted against your neck brushing the skin lightly. You had to close your eyes, your body already reacting to his proximity. One of Gi hun’s hands moved to caress your thigh, it was an innocent enough gesture but you couldn’t help but whimper. The noise made Gi hun raise his head to look at you.
“This okay?”
You nodded, unable to trust your voice. Gi hun moved to kiss your neck.
“How about this?”
You bit into your lip, nodding once again. Gi hun enjoyed the way your body reacted to him, he’d barely even touched you and you were already speechless. One of his hands moved beneath your shirt, inching against the skin until he found your breast. You gasped as he began to knead your breast with his hands. Your legs tightened around his waist instinctively, hips bucking up into him. Gi hun grinned against your skin. But you weren’t the only one who was becoming flustered. Gi huns dick twitched against his sweatpants as you shifted beneath him. It was your breathy whisper of his name that caused him to look up at you. He’d barely registered your movements before your lips were on his. Your tongue lapped over his lips begging for entrance. He was more than willing to give it to you. He groaned as you tugged at his hair, tongues moving in tandem. You could feel him growing harder against you and that knowledge made you clench around nothing.
“Gi hun?”
“Yeah?”
“Can you-hum-help me?”
He gave you a confused look and your heart clenched at the sight. For a grown man he had such an innocent face. You moved until you could grab onto one of his hands, guiding it until it rested against your cunt. You moaned as Gi hun's hand grazed the place where you desired him most. The sound made his eyes widen, understanding immediately. A rush of pride made its way through his chest as he realised he’d managed to make you as needy for him as he felt for you. You had expected him to help you out with his fingers but Gi hun had other plans. He shifted down your body until his face was at your cunt. You threw your head back as he placed a kiss on your thigh. Carefully his hands moved to your waistband, tugging your underwear down. A breath left Gi huns throat as he caught sight of your pussy.
“Fuck. You’re so wet.”
He moved his fingers over your folds, collecting your juices on his digits in disbelief. You whined above him, hips chasing after his fingers. Gi hun didn’t waste time, his lips found your folds immediately. Your hands clung to his hair, as his tongue lapped at your folds. His hands moved to rest at your hips, helping him eat you out with a newfound fervour. All you could do was gasp and moan as Gi hun moved with expert precision. You’d never expected him to enjoy this so much but you’d been pleasantly surprised. You clenched around his tongue and he groaned.
“You close?”
“Yes Gi hun please just a bit-shit-there! Right there!”
He sucked on your clit and you were a goner. Your lips parted, his name slipping from them in an euphoric shout. You coated his face, body sagging onto the bed as your orgasm washed through you. Gi hun lapped it all up, stopping only when you let out a small whine of discomfort. He dragged himself up your body, settling into his prior position. You tugged him into a kiss, tasting yourself on his lips. Unconsciously Gi huns hips rutted against you. You smiled into the kiss, hand moving to caress Gi hun through his pants. He groaned against your lips.
You pushed yourself up, forcing Gi hun to lift his body too. He watched you remove your shirt, throwing it somewhere across the room before looking at him expectantly. It took him a second to understand what you wanted. When he finally got the message he got off the bed removing his clothes until he was fully nude before you. Your mouth dropped open at the sight of him, he was surprisingly toned for somebody his age. Before Gi hun got a chance to get self conscious you were gesturing him to come to you with one finger. He grinned at you, crawling over your body once more. You opened your legs to him eagerly.
“Oh shit.”
“What is it?”
“I don’t have any condoms. I don’t keep any because I never…well, you know.”
He gave you a sheepish smile and you couldn’t help but laugh.
“It’s okay.”
You leaned over the bed, reaching into the nightstand and pulling out a condom. Gi hun looked at you in surprise.
“Don’t worry. I’m not bringing anyone here. I kept these here in case I got the courage to…”
“To?”
Gosh he could be so oblivious.
“You know…”
You gestured between the two of you.
“Oh.”
His eyes widened in realization.
“Oh!”
You smiled at him, your hand moving to cup his cheek. You placed a kiss on his lips before moving to hand him the condom. He took it from you, opening the package and slipping it on. You relaxed onto the bed, waiting for him to line himself up. Gi hun glanced up at you.
“Are you sure about this?”
“Very.”
“Okay.”
He began inching himself into you slowly,his eyes never leaving the place where your two bodies connected. It was shameless but the sight of your pussy swallowing his dick was enough to make him twitch. The sounds leaving your lips didn’t help much. You were all breath whines and quiet moans. He set a tender pace, fucking into your gently. Your forehead rested against his, breathes mingling as you each enjoyed the feeling of each other. Your nippels rubbed against his chest causing you to moan. One of his hands moved to knead the flesh as he continued to thrust into you.
“Fuck you feel good.”
“Ah Gi hun! Please give me more.”
He wanted it to be tender. He wanted to transmit his gratitude for you with his body but he could also feel his self control slipping. He sped up slightly, his thrusts becoming rougher and upon feeling you clench around him he wondered why he hadn’t done this since the beginning. You clung to his body, your pants growing as he moved your legs up slightly, allowing him to hit your g-spot perfectly.
“I’m close…”
“Just a little more. Wait for me okay? Can you do that princess?”
With the way he was fucking into you it seemed you wouldn’t be able to hold on for much longer but you’d try for him. You gave him a small nod, nails digging into his back. Turns out you didn’t have to wait too long. Before you knew it Gi hun was whining out your name, his hips stilling as he came. You followed after him, your eyes rolling back as the coil in your stomach finally snapped. Gi hun fell into your body. Sweat coated both of you but neither one seemed to mind. Gi hun placed one last lingering kiss to your neck before rolling off of you. You stayed still for a moment, trying to catch your breath.
“That was-”
“Wonderful.”
You turned to look at him.
“It was wonderful Gi hun.”
He smiled at you,pulling your body to his until your head rested against his chest. You traced the lines of his abs, enjoying your post orgasmic bliss in silence. You tugged your lip between your teeth, a small wave of guilt gnawing at your chest.
“I’ve been selfish.”
“Huh? How come?”
“I’ve been hoping you didn’t find him.”
You lifted yourself off Gi huns body, resting on your arm as you spoke.
“I know what you’re doing the right thing but I can't help it. I-”
You took a deep breath in, forcing the tears down.
“I don’t want you to get hurt. I don’t want you to go, Gi hun.”
Gi hun watched the way your face contorted as you spoke, clearly trying to stop yourself from crying.
“I love you.”
Your words had surprised him immensely. Never would he have imagined the words slipping for your mouth. But the words didn’t frighten him. In fact they made him realize something he’d been denying for a long time.
“You don’t have to say anything. You don’t own me that. I just wanted to get it of my chest in case-”
“Hey, hold on a second.”
His hand made its way to your cheek, forcing you to face him. He raised his brows at you, his lip tugging to one side of his face.
“I didn’t think I'd ever get a shot at something like this. I didn’t feel like I'd even deserve it. Not after…”
He paused for a moment, memories flashing through his mind. He pushed them down, focusing on you instead.
“What I'm trying to say is, I love you too.”
You gasped at his words.
“I think I've known for a while but didn’t have the courage to accept it. You’re…well… you’re really something special.”
He smiled at you and you couldn’t help but grin. You leaned down, placing a kiss to his lips before laying on his chest again. Gi hun knew he couldn’t give up on his mission. He needed to end the games once and for all. He knew he had to win, after all, you’d be waiting for his return. And he would find his way back to you. No matter what.

A/n: haiii guys Hru 🥹 I’m not necessarily back but I wanted to write something for you guys for Valentine’s Day as my valentine gift to you 🩷 so enjoy it, it’s not my best work (it’s a mess and I didn’t re-read it) and if you guys ask I’ll make a part 2 :3
✦•┈๑⋅⋯ ⋯⋅๑┈•✦
Sometimes, when you’re bored, you start talking to people, just to pass the time. And before you know it, you’re in a relationship you never even wanted, but you were too nice to shut it down.
But this time? You’re single. The catch? You somehow ended up with two Valentines.
You met Aeri in your Asian American Studies class, one of those Gen Eds you had to take. At first, it was just the usual small talk, complaining about assignments, joking about the professor’s weird grading system, bonding over how neither of you wanted to be there that early in the morning. Then, out of nowhere, she started flirting. And you? You never back down from a challenge. So, of course, you flirted right back.
It didn’t hurt that Aeri was hot, amazing body, confident smirk, the kind of girl who knew exactly what she wanted and wasn’t afraid to go after it.
And apparently, what she wanted was you.
“So, Y/N… are you doing anything for Valentine’s Day?” Aeri asked nonchalantly, casually checking her nails like this was just another conversation.
You knew her game. You knew exactly what she was trying to do. But if there was one thing you loved, it was flipping the script.
“Oh, you know,” you said, stretching your arms like this was the most casual thing in the world. “Romantic dinner, maybe some flowers, a little gift… the usual Valentine’s Day stuff.”
Aeri glanced up, her interest piqued. “Oh?” she mused, tilting her head. “Who’s the lucky person?”
You grinned, keeping your voice light. “Wouldn’t you like to know?”
She rolled her eyes, but there was amusement in them. “Oh, come on. You can’t just drop that and not tell me.”
You shrugged. “What can I say? I like to keep things interesting.”
Aeri let out a soft laugh, shaking her head. “You’re such a tease.”
“No, but seriously, do you have a date?” Aeri asked, facing you now, her eyes betraying a hint of nervousness as she waited for your response.
You met her gaze, your smile never faltering. “I don’t,” you replied, keeping your tone casual. “I was just going to stay in, maybe watch a movie. You know, chill.”
Aeri’s expression shifted slightly, almost as if she were relieved, but you couldn’t be sure. She let out a soft laugh, her usual confidence slipping back into place. “Sounds pretty nice, actually.”
You leaned in a little closer, teasing her just enough. “Yeah? What about you? Got any big plans?”
She paused for a second, clearly considering her response. “Nothing too crazy,” she said with a shrug, though her eyes were still on you, like she was waiting for something.
The bell rang, signaling the end of class, but you stayed in your seat, watching as Aeri packed up her things, her movements quick and practiced. The tension between you two was still there, unspoken, but thick in the air.
As she stood up, she caught your gaze, her lips curling into a sly smile. “So… you sure you don’t want company for Valentine’s Day?” she asked, voice low and playful.
You leaned back in your chair, taking a moment before responding. “I mean, I’m not opposed to company,” you said with a grin, “but I want a grand gesture. I just won’t be anyone’s Valentine, you know?”
Aeri’s expression flickered for a second, as if trying to process your words. “A grand gesture?” she repeated, the teasing tone still there, but with a hint of curiosity.
“Yeah,” you replied with a shrug, still smiling. “You’ve got to earn it.”
Her eyes narrowed slightly, studying you as if deciding how to play this. “And what makes you think I haven’t already earned it?”
You stood up, grabbing your bag, the challenge clear in your eyes. “Maybe I’ll let you prove it.”
You turned to leave, but not without feeling the weight of her gaze on your back. You didn’t look back, at least, not yet.
“I’ll see you around, Aeri,” you said casually, leaving the door open for whatever she might do next.
Aeri stood there, replaying your conversation in her mind, a smile tugging at the corner of her lips. “A grand gesture…” she muttered to herself, clearly scheming. She was used to getting what she wanted, but this time? It was a different kind of challenge. You weren’t going to make it easy, and she liked that. Now, she had to think of something big enough to impress you.
Meanwhile, you walked to your car, a cocky grin spreading across your face. You knew exactly what you were doing, playing the game just right. You’d seen the way Aeri’s eyes had lit up when you’d said no one could just be your Valentine. It wasn’t arrogance; it was just the way you were. You weren’t going to settle for easy, and everyone seemed to think they could win you over with a few sweet words or a simple gesture. But that wasn’t how it worked with you.
You leaned against your car, taking a second to enjoy the feeling of being in control. Aeri was hooked. She’d play her cards, try her best to impress you, but you knew, no one played you.
Let the games begin.
You drove to a nearby café near campus, ready to get some assignments done. You could use the quiet to focus, especially after the little game you’d started with Aeri. As you walked in, lost in your thoughts, you bumped into someone, knocking over her drink.
You immediately panicked, hands flying to grab napkins from the counter. “Oh my god, I’m so sorry!” you blurted out, rushing to clean up the mess.
But before you could make a bigger fool of yourself, her hand gently stopped you.
“Hey, it’s okay,” she said, her voice light with laughter. You looked up and met her eyes, catching her smile. “It’s just half-drunk tea, it won’t stain.”
You paused for a moment, taking in her presence. She was... pretty. You couldn’t help but think that as you continued fumbling with the napkins.
“Are you sure?” you asked, still a bit unsure. “Tea usually stains.”
She giggled, shaking her head. “That’s true, but it’s green tea. And honestly? It’s pretty watered down, so it’s basically just flavored water at this point. I’m sure it won’t stain. It’ll dry up just fine.”
You breathed a sigh of relief, handing her the napkins anyway. “Well, I’m still sorry. Let me at least buy you something to make up for it.”
She considered it for a moment, then gave a playful shrug. “Alright, I’ll take you up on that.”
You led her to the counter, exchanging a few lighthearted comments along the way. Once you reached the register, you turned to her, offering a warm smile. “I’m Y/N, by the way.”
She mirrored your grin, her eyes lighting up. “I’m Yunjin.”
The energy between you two felt easy, almost like you’d known each other longer than just a few minutes. After getting your drinks you guided Yunjin to a nearby table, pulling out a chair for her before sitting down across from her. “So, Yunjin,” you began casually, sipping your drink as you settled in, “do you go to NYU or…?”
She smiled, resting her arms on the table. “Yeah, I do. I’m actually in business school.”
“Nice, same here,” you said with a nod, leaning back in your chair. “What’s your major?”
“Marketing,” she replied, her eyes lighting up. “How about you?”
“Marketing too,” you grinned, feeling a little surprised but also intrigued. “Looks like we have more in common than just this tea disaster.”
Yunjin laughed, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. “Guess so. What are the odds, huh?”
You leaned in a little, trying to keep the conversation light, and flashed her a playful grin. “So, Yunjin, if you’re in the business school, you must be really busy, huh?”
She rolled her eyes, grinning. “You have no idea. Between classes, group projects, and my part-time job at the café, I barely have time to breathe.”
You laughed, nodding in understanding. “Sounds like my life. I swear, my schedule’s so packed, it’s a miracle I can even manage to have a conversation like this.”
Yunjin leaned back, eyeing you with curiosity. “A conversation? Or are you just really good at distracting yourself?”
You raised an eyebrow. “Maybe a bit of both. It’s a skill, really.” You paused, then added with a smirk, “But honestly, I’m glad I bumped into you today.”
Yunjin’s expression softened, her smile becoming more genuine. “Yeah, same here. It’s nice to meet someone who’s not just another student cramming for exams or talking about business strategies.”
You chuckled, glancing around at the bustling café. “Yeah, it’s refreshing, right? A little chaos here and there makes life interesting.”
She agreed with a nod. “Definitely. I swear, I’d lose my mind if I didn’t have little breaks like this.”
There was a brief pause, and then you casually asked, “So, what are you doing for Valentine’s Day? Got any fun plans?”
Yunjin’s eyes widened slightly, then she shrugged nonchalantly. “Valentine’s Day? Honestly, I haven’t really thought about it. It’s always so overhyped, you know?”
You raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “Really? Most people are either super into it or totally avoid it. What about you?”
She hesitated for a moment, clearly considering the question. “I guess I’m somewhere in the middle? I don’t mind the idea, but I don’t expect anything too crazy. What about you?”
You leaned back, teasing. “Well, I’m kind of a big deal, so I might have a couple of people vying for my attention.”
Yunjin laughed, clearly amused. “Oh really? Are you some sort of player or something?”
You smirked. “I wouldn’t say player, just... popular.”
She shot you a skeptical look. “Uh-huh, sure. So, who exactly are you planning to spend the day with?”
You let out a playful sigh, exaggerating just a little. “Honestly, it’s up in the air. I don’t make plans until the last minute.”
Yunjin raised an eyebrow. “Classic. But hey, if you’re as popular as you say, I’m sure you’ll figure it out.”
“Maybe,” you said, leaning in just a bit. “But I’m still waiting to see if anyone can come up with a grand enough gesture to win me over.”
Yunjin smirked. “A grand gesture, huh? Well, that’s something I’m definitely interested in hearing more about.”
You smirked, watching her reaction carefully. “A grand gesture, yeah,” you said, leaning back in your chair as you watched her, knowing the spark of curiosity was there. “Not just the usual flowers and chocolates, you know? Something that shows effort. I can’t just be anyone’s Valentine.”
Yunjin tilted her head, her eyes narrowing playfully as she teased, “Is that so? You really think you’re that special?”
You leaned forward, keeping your voice casual but with just enough confidence to make it clear you weren’t just talking for fun. “I mean, I am a catch. It’s gonna take something impressive.”
Yunjin laughed softly, her lips curving into a smile. “Alright, alright. You’re a catch, got it. But what if I told you I was thinking about doing something special for you?”
“Already? We just met!” you said with a smirk, raising an eyebrow as you leaned back in your chair.
Yunjin chuckled, clearly not backing down. “What can I say? You made an impression.” She paused for a moment, eyes twinkling with mischief. “Besides, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and I like a challenge.”
You couldn’t help but grin. “A challenge, huh? Guess we’ll see who can top the other with their grand gestures. It’s gonna be tough to outdo me, though.”
She gave a playful shrug, clearly unbothered. “I’m up for it. But don’t underestimate me.”
You leaned forward a little, enjoying the playful tension. “You think you can outdo the competition?”
She leaned in a little closer, her eyes lighting up with a mix of mischief and excitement. The space between you two felt charged, and for a brief moment, you could feel the heat of her presence. “Maybe. I guess we’ll see how things go. You said you want a grand gesture, right?”
You nodded, now even more interested in what she had in mind. “Yeah, that’s right.”
Yunjin hesitated for a moment, then, almost as if she were testing the waters, asked, “So, you’ve got someone else in mind, don’t you? Someone you’re planning on spending Valentine’s Day with?”
You smiled, trying to keep your cool, but you could tell she was fishing. “Maybe. I mean, I’ve got options, right? But honestly, nothing’s set in stone. It’s all about the effort, you know? Whoever can really surprise me, that’s who gets my attention.”
Yunjin studied you for a moment, her smile turning a little more confident. “Well, maybe you’ll be surprised. You might just end up with two Valentines after all.”
You couldn’t help but grin, the excitement of the game intensifying. “Two? I’m intrigued. Let’s see if you can impress me enough to make it worth it.”
As she spoke, Yunjin leaned just a little closer, her arm brushing against yours in the slightest motion, a deliberate graze that sent a small spark of electricity through you. Her eyes never left yours, and the playful challenge between you both suddenly felt even more tangible.
You exchanged a knowing look, the playful energy hanging in the air. “Alright, Yunjin, you’ve got my attention,” you said, tapping your fingers on the table. “But don’t expect me to go easy on you. I like a good challenge.”
Yunjin’s grin widened, her confidence growing. “Oh, I wouldn’t dream of it. I’m not the type to back down from a challenge.” She picked up her drink, taking a slow sip as she glanced at you over the rim of her cup. “Guess we’ll see who ends up on top when the day comes, huh?”
You chuckled, the excitement of the situation starting to hit you. “You’ve got guts, I’ll give you that. But be careful. I’m not someone who’s easily impressed.”
“Oh, I’m sure you’ll be impressed,” Yunjin said, her eyes gleaming. “The real question is: will I be the one you choose in the end?”
You met her gaze, feeling the playful spark between you both. “Well, you’re definitely making it interesting.”
Yunjin leaned in just a little more, her voice low and teasing. “Just wait, Y/N. I’ve got some ideas that might just blow your mind.”
Her hand brushed against yours again, this time lingering a little longer, before she pulled back slightly. The air between you was thick with tension, but the excitement was undeniable.
“Let me get your number,” Yunjin said with a smirk, her eyes glinting with mischief. “So I can decide when I can pick you up for our Valentine’s Day date.”
“Wow, confident, aren’t we?” you replied, raising an eyebrow, impressed by her boldness.
Yunjin chuckled, unfazed. “What can I say? I like to take charge when I know what I want.”
You leaned back in your seat, studying her for a moment. “I’m not easily won over, Yunjin. You’ll have to put in some serious work to impress me.”
She leaned forward slightly, matching your intensity. “Oh, don’t worry. I’m up for the challenge.” She paused, her grin widening. “And I’m pretty sure I’ll be the one you’re thinking about when Valentine’s Day rolls around.”
You couldn’t help but smile, feeling the playful tension building between you both. “We’ll see about that.”
Yunjin pulled out her phone, her fingers quickly tapping away. “You’ll find out soon enough,” she said with a wink as she handed you her number. “But I’m not going to wait forever, so think fast.”
You took her phone and entered your contact info with a smirk of your own. “I’ll think about it,” you said, giving her a look that left the challenge hanging in the air.
“Good,” she replied, her voice low and teasing. “Take your time. But don’t take too long.”
Yunjin got up and left, her confident stride taking her out of the café, leaving you sitting there in complete disbelief. You stared at your phone, still processing everything that had just happened. Her number was saved in your contacts now, and you couldn’t help but chuckle at how fast things escalated.
What the hell did I just do?
You shook your head, half-amused and half-astonished by how quickly you’d found yourself in this mess. Two Valentines? Really? This was definitely going to be more complicated than you’d ever expected.
You giggled to yourself, the absurdity of it all sinking in. Well, this is going to be fun...
Valentine's Day was coming, and you had no idea how this was all going to play out, but one thing was for sure, this game was about to get a whole lot more interesting.
You leaned back in your chair and let out a light laugh. Let the games begin.
~~~
“Y/N! WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU HAVE 2 VALENTINES?!” your best friend Kazuha yelled, her voice rising in disbelief. “Don’t tell me you’re playing with people’s feelings again!”
You let out a groan, slumping in your seat as Kazuha stared you down, her arms crossed and eyes narrowed. She was not buying whatever you were about to say.
“Kazuha, I swear, it just happens! It’s my aura,” you defended yourself, throwing your hands up in mock innocence. “I can’t help it if people are drawn to me!”
“Y/N, shut the fuck up,” Kazuha shot back, throwing a cushion at you. “You know exactly what you're doing. You’ve got two people chasing after you, and you’re just sitting there like it’s nothing.”
You chuckled, tossing the cushion back at her, “What can I say? It’s a skill. Not everyone has it.”
Kazuha rubbed her temples, her frustration palpable. “I swear, you’re a walking disaster. You're gonna end up making someone cry with all this back-and-forth nonsense."
“I’m not doing anything... yet,” you smirked. “Let the games begin, right?”
Kazuha sighed dramatically, clearly over it. “You’re impossible. Just... don’t make things worse. You might have a way with words, but someone's gonna get hurt if you’re not careful."
You shrugged, unfazed, as you scrolled through your phone. “I know what I’m doing. It’s just a little fun. Don’t worry so much.” You smirked, raising an eyebrow. “What if I make it three Valentines?”
Kazuha’s eyes practically bulged out of her head. “Three? Are you trying to have a meltdown? You’re gonna have an entire love triangle on your hands, Y/N!”
You chuckled, leaning back in your chair with a mischievous glint in your eye. “Why stop at two? The more the merrier, right?”
Kazuha slapped her forehead, exasperated. “You’re seriously gonna make this a competition, aren’t you?”
“Well, yeah. Why not? It’s not like anyone’s heart is on the line... yet,” you said casually, not even looking up from your phone.
“You’re playing with fire,” Kazuha warned, but there was a hint of amusement in her tone now. “Just remember, you can’t keep juggling people forever without someone getting burned.”
You smirked again. “I’m just having fun. What’s the worst that could happen?”
Kazuha shook her head, but she couldn’t help a small smile from forming. “You’re impossible.”
You looked at your best friend, putting down your phone and walking over to her. “Look, I promise after my dates, I’ll tell them,” you said, trying to reassure her.
Kazuha shot you a skeptical look, her arms crossed. “You really have to be careful, Y/N.”
“I know, and I will,” you replied, trying to sound serious, but you couldn’t quite hide the playful tone in your voice.
Kazuha raised an eyebrow. “What if you end up liking them? After these dates?”
You let out a nervous chuckle, scratching the back of your head. “Then I’d be in a serious pickle.”
Kazuha sighed dramatically, clearly not convinced. “You’re seriously digging yourself into a hole, aren’t you?”
You shrugged. “It’s all part of the game, Kazuha.”
She stared at you for a moment before a new thought seemed to strike her. “Who are these girls, anyway?”
You hesitated for a second before answering. “Yunjin and Aeri.”
Kazuha’s eyes went wide, and she let out a huge gasp, her mouth hanging open. “Y/N... YUNJIN AND AERI ARE BEST FRIENDS!!!!”
You froze, a feeling of dread creeping up on you. “What?”
Kazuha was practically shaking, her voice rising with disbelief. “What the hell, Y/N? You’ve got two of the most popular girls on campus both after you, and you’re playing them against each other??”
You blinked, suddenly feeling like you were in over your head. “I... didn’t know they were best friends!”
Kazuha threw her hands up in exasperation. “Are you serious right now?! This is like some messed-up love triangle waiting to explode. Do you have any idea what you’re getting yourself into?”
You rubbed your temples, already feeling the weight of the situation. “Great. This just got a whole lot worse.”
Kazuha’s voice softened slightly, but the concern was still there. “You better be careful, Y/N. This is more than just ‘fun’ now. They’re both gonna find out eventually.”
“They won’t. I’ll make sure of it.” You said, with a confident grin, trying to mask the nervous energy bubbling beneath your calm exterior.
Kazuha narrowed her eyes at you, clearly not buying it. “You think you can keep them both in the dark? You’re walking a fine line here.”
You shrugged nonchalantly, though your mind was racing. “I’m good at keeping things under control. I’ve got it handled.”
Kazuha rolled her eyes. “I’m not so sure. You can’t keep up this charade forever, you know.”
You let out a deep sigh, already feeling the stress creep in. “I know, I know. But hey, it’s Valentine’s Day, right? How complicated could it get?”
Kazuha shook her head, half laughing and half worried. “You’re crazy. But whatever. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you when everything goes up in flames.”
You chuckled nervously, already imagining the mess you might’ve just gotten yourself into. “I’ll deal with it when it happens.”
~~~
You were sitting in your car, parked outside the café, trying to get some studying done, when your phone buzzed again. You sighed, thinking it was just one of the usual notifications, but when you checked, you saw both Aeri and Yunjin had sent you messages.
Aeri’s message was short and sweet: “Hey, want to meet up later? I need to talk to you about something important... ;)”
Your heart skipped a beat. The playful tone told you she wasn’t just asking for a casual hangout.
Right after that, Yunjin’s message popped up: “Hey! I was thinking we should meet up today, got something on my mind, and I need to ask you something in person. What do you say?”
You leaned back in your seat, a grin tugging at the corners of your lips. They both wanted to meet up. You knew what was coming, and as much as you loved the thrill of this little game, there was no denying the rush it gave you. But now, you had to juggle both of them. You typed out quick responses.
To Aeri: “Sure, I’ll meet you later. What time works for you?”
To Yunjin: “Sounds good. When and where do you want to meet?”
The messages sent almost simultaneously. You sat back and let out a breath, trying to focus. Kazuha’s warning echoed in your mind, but you shook it off. You’d be fine. You had to be.
Aeri replied first: “How about 5 pm? I’ll be at the park near campus.”
Yunjin responded right after: “Let’s meet at the café at 6. I’ll be waiting.”
You stared at your phone for a moment, then chuckled. This was getting more complicated by the second. But there was no turning back now.
At 5 pm, you walked into the park, nerves creeping up as you scanned the area. Aeri had been so mysterious in her messages, and now you couldn’t help but wonder what kind of grand gesture she had in mind.
You spotted her near the fountain, but this wasn’t your usual “meet me in a café” vibe. She was standing confidently by the water, a soft pink balloon in her hand and a small bouquet of flowers at her feet. It was a picture-perfect moment.
"Hey," you greeted her, your heart pounding, a playful smile tugging at your lips. You couldn’t help but admire the effort she’d put into this.
Aeri smiled warmly, her eyes glinting with excitement. "I know, I know, this is probably a little much," she began, twirling the balloon in her hand as if it were no big deal, "but you deserve something special. I’ve been thinking about it a lot, and I want to ask you properly."
She took a step closer, her voice dropping a little, but her excitement obvious. "Y/N," she said, her smile growing, "I’d be honored if you’d be my Valentine. I know we’ve had some fun getting to know each other, and I think we have something that could be really amazing. What do you say? Will you be my Valentine?"
The moment hung between you, her words sincere yet playful, and you had to admit, you were impressed. You weren’t one to be easily won over, but this was a whole different level. The balloon, the flowers, it was grand, thoughtful, and definitely something to remember.
You grinned, shaking your head in disbelief at how bold she was. "Aeri, this is... a lot. But I like it."
She beamed. "So, you’ll be mine?"
"Yeah," you replied, your voice almost a whisper, "I’d love to be your Valentine."
Aeri’s eyes sparkled, and for a moment, she looked like she’d just won the biggest prize. "Great. You won’t regret it, I promise. I’ve got plans."
You both exchanged an excited glance as she handed you the bouquet, her gesture as grand as the moment.
Aeri’s smile lingered as she handed you the bouquet, her eyes searching yours for a reaction. You could tell she was really excited, and it made the moment feel even more special. She tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear, glancing down at the flowers in your hands before speaking again.
“So, I guess I’ve got your attention now, huh?” she said playfully, a hint of mischief in her voice.
You chuckled, nodding as you looked back at her. “Yeah, you definitely know how to make an impression, Aeri.”
“I aim to please,” she said with a wink, a light laugh escaping her. The two of you stood there for a moment, the playful energy between you palpable. It was clear that Aeri was genuinely enjoying the moment, and you couldn’t deny that you were, too.
After a few more moments of talking, just enjoying the vibe, your phone buzzed in your pocket. You pulled it out, glancing at the screen. Your heart skipped for a moment as you saw it was a text from Yunjin.
“Everything okay?” Aeri asked, noticing the change in your expression.
You hesitated for a second, debating how much you should say. You didn’t want to give away too much, not when things were getting complicated. You quickly glanced down at the message from Yunjin before looking up at Aeri.
“Oh, it’s just Kazuha,” you said quickly, putting your phone face down in your hand. “She needs me for something.”
Aeri’s eyes softened a little, her playful tone now replaced with genuine concern. “Oh, really? Is everything okay with Kazuha?”
You nodded, giving a small, reassuring smile. “Yeah, she’s just going through some stuff and wants to talk. I told her I’d be there for her.”
Aeri looked at you with a thoughtful expression for a moment. “I get that. If you need to go, I don’t want to keep you.” Her voice softened further, and you could hear the sincerity in her words.
You shook your head quickly, feeling a bit guilty for not being fully honest and using your best friend as an excuse. "Are you sure?"
Aeri gave a small, understanding smile. "Yeah, I mean, if it’s really important, I get it." She took a step back and put her hands in her pockets, her demeanor still warm but with a bit of distance as if trying to give you space. "Kazuha’s your best friend, right? You should be there for her."
You nodded, but a feeling of guilt gnawed at you. You’d definitely misled Aeri a little, and while you didn’t want to lie, you couldn’t exactly tell her the whole truth, not yet, anyway.
You caught her gaze again and gave a reassuring smile. “It’s just a quick thing, I promise. Kazuha’s got a lot on her plate right now, but I’ll be back in no time.”
Aeri raised an eyebrow but seemed to accept your words. “Alright, but don’t make me wait too long. You’ve got a Valentine who’s already looking forward to making plans with you, after all.”
You chuckled nervously, "Don’t worry. I won’t leave you hanging."
She smirked, clearly not buying into your reassurances entirely, but she gave you a playful wink. “Well, I’m counting on it. You’ve got a lot to live up to, Y/N.”
You smiled, feeling a little more at ease, and without thinking too much, you leaned in and pressed a quick kiss to her cheek.
Aeri froze for a moment, her eyes widening in surprise before a soft blush crept up her neck. She glanced at you, slightly flustered, then smiled warmly. “Guess that’s your way of saying you’ll be back soon?”
You pulled away with a sheepish grin. “Exactly. Can’t leave you hanging too long, right?”
Aeri chuckled, clearly flattered, and shook her head. “Alright, alright. I’ll hold you to that. Be safe, Y/N.”
You gave her a wink and a quick wave before turning to leave, the weight of the situation still on your mind, but a little thrill from the moment lingering as well.
~~~
You rushed to the cafe, checking your phone as you hurried through the door. Just in time, you thought, glancing up to see Yunjin already sitting at a table near the back, a confident smile on her face as she spotted you walking in.
Her eyes sparkled with something you couldn’t quite place, and she immediately stood up, adjusting her coat with a flourish. “Look at you, right on time,” she said, her voice light but with a teasing undertone. “I knew you wouldn’t leave me waiting long.”
You took a seat across from her, still catching your breath from the run over. “Wouldn’t dream of it. So, what’s all this about, huh? You’ve got that look in your eyes.”
Yunjin leaned in slightly, her eyes locking with yours, filled with excitement and maybe a little mischief. “Well, I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and I wanted to do something special for you.”
You raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “Special? You’ve already got me curious. What’s this grand gesture I’ve been hearing about?”
She smiled wider, sitting back in her chair before reaching into her bag. You couldn’t help but notice the small twinkle of anticipation in her eyes as she pulled out a small, wrapped box and placed it in front of you.
“Open it,” she said, her voice soft but laced with excitement.
You glanced up at her, a mix of curiosity and amusement in your expression. “I’m not sure if I’m ready for whatever this is.”
Yunjin’s smile didn’t falter. “Come on, trust me. It’s not a big deal... just a little something to show you I’m serious about this Valentine’s thing.”
You carefully unwrapped the box, your fingers pausing when you saw the familiar logo on the outer packaging. When you opened it, your breath caught in your throat. Inside was a sleek, delicate Dior bracelet, elegant and expensive, with a silver band and a small charm dangling from it. You couldn’t believe what you were seeing.
“Yunjin... this... this is Dior?” you asked, stunned, your eyes widening. You couldn’t hide the shock in your voice.
Yunjin’s grin widened as she watched your reaction. “Yeah, it’s Dior. I told you I was serious about this. If I’m going to be your Valentine, I wanted it to be something that really shows you how much I mean it.”
You looked down at the bracelet, almost speechless. It was beyond anything you expected from a casual date or even a flirtation. This was... a gesture. A big one.
“Wow. You really went all out,” you said, still trying to process it all. “I didn’t expect... this.”
She shrugged, her confidence radiating. “I don’t do things halfway. So, what do you say? Will you be my Valentine?”
You blinked for a moment, genuinely taken aback by how thoughtful and extravagant this gesture was. For a brief second, you couldn’t help but wonder if maybe you were playing with fire here, but you pushed the thought away.
“Well, Yunjin,” you said, a smirk tugging at your lips. “You certainly know how to make an impression.”
Her smile softened, and she leaned in just a little closer. “So, that’s a yes, right?”
You paused, letting the suspense build for a second, before finally answering. “Alright, Yunjin. I’ll be your Valentine.”
Her eyes lit up, and she reached across the table, her fingers brushing against yours in a gesture that felt warmer than you expected. “You won’t regret it,” she said, her voice filled with quiet excitement.
You chuckled, feeling the weight of the moment settle in. “We’ll see about that.”
You walked out of the cafe with Yunjin, the Dior bracelet now safely secured on your wrist. The weight of it still felt unreal, but you had to admit, her gesture had left a lasting impression. As you walked down the street, your mind buzzed with thoughts of Aeri and how you were going to juggle this whole situation.
“So, now that I’ve asked you, what’s next?” Yunjin asked, her voice light but with a trace of curiosity. “Do you have a plan for Valentine’s Day?”
You glanced over at her, trying to play it cool. “I guess we’ll see how things go. You’re the first one to ask me, so I’m definitely interested in what you’ve got in mind for the big day.”
Yunjin’s eyes twinkled, a smile creeping across her face. “I’ve got something special planned. You’ll have to wait and see, but I promise it’ll be worth it.”
You chuckled, not able to resist the excitement in her voice. “You’re really going all out for this, huh?”
Yunjin shrugged nonchalantly, though her playful smile didn’t falter. “When it comes to something like this, why not go all in? You deserve it.”
You couldn’t help but feel a small thrill run through you at her words. Yunjin was clearly invested in this, and you were curious to see what she had planned. But at the same time, you felt a small pang of guilt. Aeri was probably wondering where you were, and you couldn’t avoid the fact that you were now juggling two Valentines, two amazing, beautiful, and passionate girls. What a mess this had turned out to be.
As you walked towards the subway station, your phone buzzed in your pocket. You pulled it out to find a message from Aeri, and your stomach dropped a little. You didn’t know why, but something about her messages always seemed to pull at you.
“Hey, are you free tonight? I was hoping we could talk more about... well, us. Let me know when you’re free. <3”
You paused for a moment, biting your lip. Aeri was so sweet, and she was definitely in the running for your Valentine. But what about Yunjin? This was getting complicated, fast.
Yunjin glanced at you, noticing the change in your expression. “Everything okay?” she asked, her voice laced with concern.
You quickly hid your phone, forcing a smile. “Yeah, just a little something with a friend. Don’t worry about it.”
Yunjin raised an eyebrow but didn’t press the issue. Instead, she smiled, her hand brushing against yours again as she added, “Well, whatever happens, I’m glad we met. And you won’t regret picking me as your Valentine, I promise.”
You returned her smile, feeling a little guilty, but also intrigued. “I guess we’ll see about that.”
As you said goodbye and parted ways, you couldn’t shake the feeling that things were about to get a lot more complicated. Valentine’s Day was only a few days away, and you had no idea how you were going to navigate this little love triangle you’d gotten yourself into.
You slammed the door behind you as you rushed into your apartment, the weight of the day finally crashing down on you. Kazuha was in the kitchen, but you didn’t even acknowledge her as you rushed to your room. You threw yourself onto the bed, burying your face in your pillow and screaming into it. The tension of juggling two Valentines had officially reached its breaking point.
“What the hell am I doing?” you muttered into the pillow, letting out a frustrated groan. Your mind raced with thoughts of Aeri’s sweetness, Yunjin’s grand gesture, and how the hell you were supposed to keep up with it all.
You could hear Kazuha’s footsteps approaching your door, and she knocked lightly before entering. "Y/N, what happened? Did something go wrong?"
You lifted your head just enough to look at her, eyes wide with panic. “I’m in way too deep, Kazuha. I’ve got two Valentines now, and I’m not even sure what I’m doing. Aeri’s been so sweet, and then Yunjin... she just went all out with the Dior bracelet and now I don’t know what the hell I’m supposed to do.”
Kazuha raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms. “So you’re telling me, you went ahead and accepted two Valentine’s invites?”
You buried your face back in the pillow, muffling your voice. “I didn’t mean to! It just… happened. I’m an idiot.”
Kazuha sat on the edge of your bed, sighing. “Well, you’re definitely a mess, but that’s nothing new. Just be honest with them, okay? You can’t keep playing this game and not expect things to blow up in your face. They both deserve more than you just juggling them around.”
You sat up, rubbing your eyes. “I know, I know… but how do I even tell them? I’m not ready to pick just one yet. I don’t know what I want.”
Kazuha gave you a sympathetic look. “Look, you don’t need to rush. But don’t keep them hanging, okay? You owe them more than that.”
You nodded, your chest tightening. “I guess I’ll figure it out. I just… I don’t want to hurt anyone.”
She gave you a small grin, patting your back. “You’ll be fine. You always are.”
You let out a sigh, still feeling overwhelmed but grateful for Kazuha’s blunt, no-nonsense advice. One thing was for sure: you had a lot to figure out before Valentine’s Day. And there was no going back now.
You sat up on your bed, finally lifting your face from the pillow, a new wave of determination flashing in your eyes. Kazuha gave you a skeptical look as she raised an eyebrow.
"No, no," you muttered, shaking your head. "I’ve got this. I gotta lock in the player in me. I can’t let this get to me. I’m gonna be nonchalant about it. Chill, calm, collected." You nodded to yourself, as if convincing your own mind.
Kazuha rolled her eyes but smirked. "Yeah, sure, good luck with that. But you do you, I guess."
You let out a deep breath, lying back down on your bed, trying to calm the nerves. "I’m not gonna let either of them think they have me wrapped around their finger. I’ll keep it cool, play it like I’m not phased. They’ll respect that more, right?"
Kazuha shook her head but laughed. "I swear you’re impossible."
You grinned, looking at the ceiling. "It’s the only way to play the game. One of them might end up being more than just a Valentine, but for now? I’m keeping it light. Keeping it fun."
Kazuha shook her head again but gave a small chuckle. "I can’t believe you. Just don’t let this whole thing blow up in your face, okay?"
You gave her a confident smile. "Trust me, I got it. I’m the master of this stuff."
Kazuha just sighed, clearly unsure, but walked out of your room anyway, leaving you to lay back down and think about the chaos you were about to manage.
This Valentine’s Day was shaping up to be way more complicated than you ever imagined. But, hey, you were ready. You’d make it work, one way or another.
You let out a deep breath, still lying on your bed, your fingers absentmindedly playing with the edge of your blanket. “And they won’t find out,” you muttered to yourself, as if repeating it like a mantra would make it true. “I’ve got it under control. I can handle both of them. No one’s gonna get hurt. I’ll play it smoothly. No slip-ups.”
Your mind raced, wondering how you could keep everything from unraveling. “I just gotta stay calm. If I keep my cool, keep my distance, they’ll never suspect a thing.”
You closed your eyes for a second, letting the idea settle in. “No way are they gonna find out. I’m not gonna let this blow up in my face. I can handle it. Just gotta keep the charm turned on and the lies well-rehearsed.”
You smiled to yourself, trying to shake off the slight tension in your chest. Kazuha was right about one thing, this was gonna be complicated. But, hey, if anyone could juggle two Valentines without getting caught, it was you.
The only thing you had to do now was make sure no one figured it out. Simple, right? Keep things smooth and under wraps. Let's just hope Aeri and Yunjin haven't talked to each other yet.
Valentine's Day had arrived, and you were already feeling the tension building up. You had your plan set: Yunjin’s date started at 3 PM and would end at 7, just enough time to give you a brief window to recover before Aeri's date kicked off at 7:30 PM.
You dressed in something casual but still nice, nothing too flashy but enough to show you’d put some effort in. You glanced at the clock, knowing you had to keep things on schedule. You couldn’t afford to mess this up.
Valentine's Day had arrived, and you were already feeling the tension building up. You had your plan set: Yunjin’s date started at 3 PM and would end at 7, just enough time to give you a brief window to recover before Aeri's date kicked off at 7:30 PM.
You dressed in something casual but still nice, nothing too flashy but enough to show you’d put some effort in. You glanced at the clock, knowing you had to keep things on schedule. You couldn’t afford to mess this up.
Yunjin’s date started off in the cutest way possible. You arrived at the café to find her already waiting by the window, her eyes lighting up as soon as she saw you. She waved enthusiastically, and you couldn’t help but grin back. There was something so magnetic about her energy, so warm and inviting.
"Hey, you made it!" Yunjin said, her smile stretching from ear to ear. "I was hoping you'd show up on time."
"Of course," you replied with a playful wink. "I wouldn’t want to keep you waiting."
Yunjin motioned for you to sit, and as you did, she handed you a small bouquet of freshly picked flowers. "I thought you’d like these. Something simple but sweet," she said, her cheeks flushing slightly as she handed them to you.
You were honestly taken aback by the thoughtful gesture. It wasn’t over-the-top, just a simple, genuine moment. "You’re amazing," you said, unable to hide your smile.
She smiled shyly, clearly pleased that you liked them. "I’m glad you like them."
As you both ordered your drinks, Yunjin, of course, got her usual matcha latte, and you opted for a caramel macchiato, there was an ease in the conversation that made everything feel natural. Yunjin had this ability to make even the smallest things feel important. She asked about your day, your interests, and the conversation flowed effortlessly. She shared little anecdotes about her childhood, making you laugh with funny stories about her attempts at cooking or her obsession with collecting random trinkets.
"You know, I never understood why I love those tiny figurines," she said, giggling. "But I’ve got a collection at home that’s pretty impressive. I swear, every time I go to a market, I find a new one to add."
You laughed, genuinely enjoying her quirkiness. "I think that's adorable. You should show me sometime."
As the conversation carried on, you could feel yourself getting lost in her presence. She was the kind of person who made everything feel light, fun, and easy, and her enthusiasm was contagious.
Around 5 PM, Yunjin suggested a spontaneous walk in the nearby park. You both strolled around, chatting about everything and nothing, until she suddenly stopped by a bench and pulled something from her bag.
"I know we’re still in the middle of our date, but I brought this for you," Yunjin said, a little sheepish.
You raised an eyebrow. "What is it?"
She revealed a small, hand-decorated jar filled with homemade cookies. "I baked these for you," she said with a proud smile. "I know it’s cheesy, but I thought it'd be cute. I may not be a professional chef, but they taste pretty good."
You took the jar from her and opened it, the smell of fresh-baked cookies instantly hitting you. "These smell amazing, Yunjin. I’m so impressed," you said, taking a cookie and giving it a bite. It was soft and delicious, just like her thoughtfulness.
"You like them?" she asked, her eyes hopeful.
"I love them. You’ve totally outdone yourself," you said, giving her a playful nudge.
As the date neared its end, Yunjin leaned in slightly, her voice soft. "I had a really great time today, Y/N. It feels so easy to be with you."
You smiled back at her, feeling your heart flutter just a little. "I did too, Yunjin. It’s been so fun."
After exchanging a few more sweet words, you both shared a quick hug before parting ways. As you watched her walk away, you felt this warmth in your chest that made you second-guess everything about this ‘player’ act. Yunjin was special, there was no denying that.
But you still had one more date to go...
You rushed back home, your mind buzzing with excitement from your afternoon with Yunjin. She was sweet, thoughtful, and had a way of making everything feel so special. But there was still Aeri’s date to go, and you couldn’t afford to let your guard down just yet.
You quickly changed into something a bit more polished, opting for a sleek, yet casual outfit. You glanced at the clock, 7:15 PM. You had a little time to spare, but not much.
As you made your way to the café where Aeri had asked to meet, you couldn’t help but think about what had happened with Yunjin. It was almost like a little fantasy, a moment that felt real, but not quite.
You entered the café, and Aeri was already there, waiting. She looked stunning as always, her hair falling in soft waves, and she had this confident, almost daring look in her eyes as she saw you approach.
"Y/N," she said, her voice warm but with a playful edge. "You’re late. But I guess I can forgive you... this time."
You smiled, feeling a little guilty. "Sorry, I was caught up in something. But I’m here now."
Aeri raised an eyebrow, clearly curious. "Something interesting, huh?"
You gave her a nonchalant shrug. "Just... spending time with someone special," you said, keeping your voice calm.
Aeri’s eyes narrowed just a little, but she didn’t push it. "Well, I’m glad you made it. I was actually thinking we could do something a little different tonight."
You leaned in, intrigued. "Different how?"
She reached into her bag and pulled out a small box. "I hope you’re in the mood for surprises," she said, her eyes twinkling mischievously.
You raised an eyebrow as you took the box from her. Inside was a dainty gold necklace with a delicate heart-shaped pendant. The soft shine of it caught the light, making it look elegant and thoughtful.
"This is..." you trailed off, genuinely surprised by the gesture. "Aeri, you didn’t have to..."
Aeri grinned, clearly proud of herself. "I wanted to. I know it’s nothing huge, but it’s a little something to show how much I care."
You looked up at her, feeling a little taken aback by the sincerity in her eyes. "It’s beautiful. Thank you."
Aeri smiled, clearly pleased with your reaction. "I’m glad you like it."
After a moment, Aeri leaned back in her seat, crossing her arms. "You know, I’ve been thinking a lot about us, Y/N. About what we could be... You’re someone I really enjoy spending time with. I hope you feel the same way."
You nodded, feeling the weight of her words. "I do, Aeri. I really do. Tonight’s been amazing."
Aeri’s smile softened, her voice lowering just a bit. "I’m glad. Because, you know, I’m not one to do things halfway. So, if you want to take this further, I’m all in."
The air between you two shifted, a mix of excitement and vulnerability hanging in the balance. You realized, in that moment, just how much you liked Aeri, maybe more than you’d been willing to admit.
But as she looked at you, waiting for your response, a small part of you couldn't help but think of Yunjin too. This was all getting more complicated than you’d ever imagined.
But for now, you focused on Aeri and her smile. "I’m all in too," you said, making sure she knew that you meant it.
Her smile widened as she reached across the table, taking your hand in hers. "I’m glad," she whispered. "Let’s see where this goes."
And just like that, you were caught in the middle of two beautiful people, both vying for your attention, and Valentine’s Day had become far more than just a simple celebration of love. It had become a game of choices, and you weren’t sure how it was all going to turn out. But you were excited to find out.
You rushed back home, still trying to act calm, even though your mind was racing with all the mess you’d just gotten yourself into. Yunjin’s sweet gesture, the bracelet, and then Aeri, Aeri was different, and you felt that spark. It wasn’t supposed to be like this. You were just having fun, right? But now, it felt like you were teetering on the edge of a cliff, just waiting for the fall.
You walked in and found Kazuha lounging on the couch, scrolling through her phone, her usual laid-back demeanor. You threw yourself on the couch next to her, trying to appear cool, trying to keep it together. "Hey, it wasn’t that bad," you said with a nonchalant shrug. "Yunjin's date was cute, the bracelet was nice. Aeri, too, she’s sweet. It’s all fine. Totally under control."
Kazuha put her phone down and raised an eyebrow, her gaze skeptical. "Right... I knew the nonchalant act was fake," she said, her voice dripping with amusement. "Come on, spill it. You’re clearly freaking out."
You let out a frustrated sigh, sinking into the couch. "Okay, okay. You’re right. I’m losing it here, Kazuha. This is way more complicated than I thought it would be."
Kazuha sat up, her teasing smile gone now, replaced with a more serious expression. "What happened? What did you do?"
You rubbed your forehead, trying to gather your thoughts. "So, I had this cute date with Yunjin, right? She gave me this amazing Dior bracelet, and I, " you stopped, a little taken aback by how deep into it you were. "I don’t even know, Kazuha. Then right after, Aeri pulls me in for her date, and she gives me a necklace. A necklace, Kazuha. Like, she’s seriously into me, and I... I don’t know what to do."
Kazuha’s eyes widened. "Wait, so you’re seriously seeing both of them now? Yunjin and Aeri?"
You nodded, feeling the weight of the situation finally crashing down on you. "Yeah. I know, it’s messed up. But I can’t stop now, can I? They’re both amazing, and I, I don’t want to hurt them. But I’m definitely in over my head."
Kazuha let out a long breath, her voice serious this time. "Y/N, this is gonna blow up in your face. You’re playing a dangerous game, and someone’s gonna get hurt. They’re not gonna stay in the dark forever."
"I know," you muttered, frustration building up. "But I’ve got to keep it together, Kazuha. I can’t let them find out. Not yet. I need time to figure this out."
Kazuha shook her head, a soft smile pulling at her lips. "Take your time, but don’t be an idiot. Someone's gonna find out sooner or later, and you need to decide who you really want to be with."
You looked at her, trying to suppress the panic rising in your chest. "Yeah, you’re right. But... how do I pick? They're both so different. It’s like I'm torn in two directions."
Kazuha gave you a knowing look. "Don’t get too comfortable with the ‘player’ act, Y/N. The longer you wait, the messier it’s gonna get. I just hope you figure it out before one of them figures it out for you."
You let out a sigh, finally feeling the weight of the situation hit you fully. "I guess I just have to make a decision soon... before things spiral out of control."
Kazuha slapped you lightly on the back, her voice light but serious. "Just don’t drag it out too long. I’m not cleaning up this mess when it all falls apart."
You chuckled weakly, realizing how true her words were. "Thanks, Kazuha. You really know how to keep me grounded."
She grinned. "Someone has to, right? Just don’t screw this up too badly."
You laughed, but the anxiety still gnawed at you. Valentine’s Day was supposed to be fun, but now it feels like the biggest mess of your life. All you could do was hope you wouldn’t get caught in the middle of your own game.
You lay back on your bed, staring at the ceiling, feeling the weight of the situation pressing down on you. The adrenaline from the chaos of the day had worn off, leaving you with nothing but the aftereffects of what you’d just done. You thought about all the moves you’d made, how smooth you tried to play it.
But now, the idea of lying to both Yunjin and Aeri started to feel less like a game and more like a time bomb ticking away. What if they found out? What if they already knew and were just playing you the way you were playing them? The thought made your stomach twist.
You ran your hands through your hair, trying to make sense of everything. One thought came to mind: maybe you could just tell them the truth. You briefly entertained the idea of a group chat, but then immediately shot it down. That would be a mess. That would make everything worse, right? It was too public, too much drama. You couldn’t handle that level of chaos.
Still, you couldn’t shake the thought of them finding out on their own. They were both smart, both perceptive. What if they already suspected something was off? What if Yunjin and Aeri weren’t as clueless as you’d hoped? You groaned and buried your face in your pillow, the reality of your situation starting to settle in.
You had two choices: keep lying, keep playing the game, and risk it all blowing up in your face. Or, you could come clean now and try to salvage what was left. Maybe they’d appreciate the honesty. Maybe they wouldn’t.
Your mind was racing, flipping between the possibilities. Either way, you couldn’t avoid the truth forever. It was just a matter of when, if it would be on your terms or someone else’s.
You looked at your phone, half tempted to text them both, but you knew you needed to clear your head first. You needed to figure out how to navigate this before everything collapsed. But the question lingered in your mind: What if they knew?
You woke up the next morning to your phone buzzing with two messages, one from Yunjin and the other from Aeri. You rubbed your eyes, trying to shake off the lingering fog of sleep, and reached for your phone.
First, you checked Yunjin's message:
Yunjin: "Hey, had an amazing time with you yesterday! 💕 We should definitely do something again soon. Let me know when you're free!"
You smiled at the text, but before you could fully process it, you saw a message from Aeri pop up:
Aeri: "Hey, are you free today? I was thinking we could talk more about… well, us. Want to come over later?"
Your heart skipped a beat, but you tried to stay composed. You stared at the message for a few moments, a mix of excitement and anxiety coursing through you. This was the moment of truth.
You hesitated for a second, then texted back:
Y/N: "Sure, sounds good. I’ll swing by later! "
Once you sent that, you quickly flipped to Yunjin’s message. You didn’t want to leave her hanging either, so you typed:
Y/N: "Hey, same here! I’d love to hang out again soon :33 . Let’s figure out a time. But I’ve got something later today, so maybe after that?"
You sent both replies, your mind still racing. The choices were piling up, and you knew the sooner you dealt with it, the better. The fact that Aeri asked you to come over meant things was about to get real, and you needed to be prepared for what was to come.
With a sigh, you set your phone down, feeling the weight of the situation. There was no turning back now. You had to face it head-on.
You spent the next few hours pacing around, trying to mentally prepare for what was about to unfold. You couldn’t afford to mess this up. You had no idea what would happen when you saw Aeri later. Would she pick up on the tension, or would she be just as oblivious as you were trying to be?
The clock seemed to tick louder as you got ready. You were overthinking everything. Each outfit you tried on felt like you were preparing for a job interview rather than a date. You eventually settled on something casual, trying to keep it lowkey, but still cute enough to show you put in some effort.
When the time came, you grabbed your things, made sure to double-check you had everything you needed, and left. Your nerves were a mix of excitement and anxiety, but you kept telling yourself, You’ve got this. Just go with the flow.
Aeri’s place was just a few blocks away, so the walk gave you some time to calm your nerves. When you arrived, you took a deep breath and rang the doorbell. The door opened almost immediately, revealing Aeri standing there, smiling warmly.
“Hey, you!” she said, pulling you into a hug before stepping back to let you in. “I’m so glad you came. I’ve been looking forward to this all day.”
You smiled, feeling a flutter in your chest as you stepped inside. The place smelled like fresh flowers, and there was a soft playlist of instrumental music playing in the background. Aeri had clearly made an effort to set the mood.
"Thanks for inviting me over," you said, trying to sound calm despite the chaos in your head.
“Of course,” Aeri replied, a mischievous glint in her eyes. “So, I’ve been thinking a lot about… well, about us.”
You froze slightly at her words, trying not to let your nerves show. You took a seat on the couch, trying to seem relaxed. “Yeah, me too,” you said, keeping your voice steady.
She sat down next to you, her eyes locking onto yours. “I’m really enjoying spending time with you, Y/N,” she said, her tone soft and sincere. “And I just wanted to know… do you think there’s something more here between us?”
You felt your heart skip a beat, and you weren’t sure if you should feel relieved or terrified. You could feel the weight of her question pressing on you, and you could feel the other half of your mind screaming, What do I do now?
Before you could respond, your phone buzzed in your pocket. You quickly glanced at it, seeing a message from Yunjin.
Yunjin: “You busy? I was just thinking about you. Let me know when you’re free. ”
Aeri noticed the slight shift in your focus and tilted her head. “Everything okay?” she asked, her expression softening.
You nodded quickly, shoving your phone back in your pocket. “Yeah, just… just checking something. Sorry.”
Aeri gave you a knowing smile. “You don’t have to apologize. If you’re distracted, I understand.”
You smiled nervously, then remembered the plan you had set in motion. “I was just thinking… I really like you, Aeri. A lot. But we should take things slow, see where this goes. You know?”
Aeri’s smile widened, her eyes softening with understanding. “I feel the same way,” she said, placing her hand on yours. “No rush. We’ve got time.”
You felt a wave of relief wash over you, but deep down, you knew this wasn’t over yet. There was still Yunjin to consider. And who knew what else would come next?
For now, though, it felt like a small victory. You just hoped you could keep it from getting any more complicated.
The tension between you and Aeri continued to build as the evening wore on. After some small talk, you both started opening up more, sharing things that made you feel vulnerable. The light, casual conversation had turned into something deeper, something you hadn’t expected when you first walked in.
Aeri had moved closer on the couch, and there was a subtle shift in her body language. She was no longer just sitting beside you, she was leaning in, her attention fully focused on you. Her eyes were soft, but there was a hint of something else there, something unspoken.
“Y/N,” Aeri said softly, her voice almost a whisper. “I’m glad you came tonight. I feel like we’re really connecting, you know?”
You nodded, feeling your heart race a little faster. The air around you both felt thick, like something was about to happen, but neither of you were saying it outright.
“I’ve been thinking a lot about you,” you confessed, your own voice low and hesitant. “And… I don’t know. It’s just, I didn’t expect to feel this way.”
Aeri smiled at you, her fingers brushing against yours. She gave you a teasing look, her eyes twinkling with something playful, but there was an undeniable intensity behind her gaze. “You’re not the only one,” she said, her voice laced with the same kind of energy that was running through your veins. “I think you’ve been on my mind a lot too.”
For a moment, neither of you spoke. There was just the sound of the music in the background and the slight rustling of your breath, the room almost too quiet for the unspoken tension hanging in the air.
You both looked at each other then, really looked at each other, and the rest of the world seemed to disappear. The way Aeri’s lips parted slightly, the way her pupils were dilated, her gaze unwavering, it all drew you in. You could feel the heat of her body beside yours, the way her presence seemed to fill the space between you.
Without thinking, without any more words exchanged, you both leaned in at the same time. The kiss was soft at first, hesitant, unsure, but it deepened quickly as you both gave in to the pull. The moment your lips met, everything else seemed to fade away.
Aeri’s hands gently cupped your face, pulling you closer as you responded to the kiss, your heart pounding in your chest. The feeling of her lips against yours, the warmth of her touch, it was all you could focus on. The tension that had been building for hours had finally snapped, and you were both caught in this shared moment of vulnerability and longing.
When you finally pulled away, your breath came out in a soft, unsteady exhale. Aeri’s forehead rested against yours, her hands still lingering on your skin. She didn’t say anything for a few moments, just breathing, as if letting the reality of the moment settle in.
You both looked at each other, both trying to process what had just happened. You weren’t sure where this was going, but you couldn’t deny how right it felt at that moment. Still, the reality of your situation, Yunjin, everything that was happening, was never far from your mind.
But for now, you let yourself just be in the moment with Aeri, pulling her in once again, making out with her. The moment you pulled her back in, everything around you seemed to blur, and all that mattered was the softness of Aeri’s lips and the warmth of her body against yours. The kiss was deep, more urgent this time, like you both couldn’t get enough of each other. Her hands slid around your waist, pulling you even closer, and you responded, your fingers running through her hair, tugging her toward you as if you never wanted to pull away.
Aeri’s breath hitched as she pressed herself against you, deepening the kiss with a soft, needy sound. The pace between you both quickened, and before you knew it, the world outside the room had faded away. There was no worrying about the games or the lies anymore, just the heat between the two of you, the undeniable chemistry that had been building since you’d first met.
The kiss was everything, passion, tension, and a little bit of recklessness all at once. But as much as you wanted to let go completely, the reminder of the situation, of everything else that was tangled up in this, lingered at the edge of your mind.
Still, in this moment, with Aeri in your arms, you couldn’t bring yourself to care about anything except the feeling of her lips on yours and the way she made everything else feel so distant. As you pulled Aeri closer, your heart began to race, faster and harder than you expected. Each kiss made it beat louder in your chest, the rhythm matching the intensity of the moment. You could feel the heat of her body pressed against yours, and the surge of excitement and uncertainty made your pulse quicken. Aeri's hands moved to your back, pulling you even closer, and you responded, your breath hitching as you deepened the kiss.
You couldn’t think straight, your heart was pounding, every nerve alive with the electricity between you. The world around you seemed to vanish, leaving only the two of you in that space, tangled together.
Your body reacted without thinking, drawn to her like a magnet, but your heart? It was a little out of control, racing with a mix of excitement, desire, and, maybe, just maybe, a little bit of fear. Fear of how complicated things had gotten, but you couldn’t deny that in this moment, none of that mattered.
For now, it was just you and Aeri, caught up in the heat of the make out, and you let yourself get lost in it. The tension that had been building for so long was finally released in this moment, and all you could focus on was how she felt in your arms, how she kissed you back with equal intensity. As you kissed Aeri, everything else seemed to fade into the background. The world, the situation, and the confusion you had been carrying about Yunjin all disappeared. It was as if time stopped for a moment, your heart raced, your thoughts scrambled, but they were all centered on the here and now.
Yunjin? She was nowhere in your mind at that moment. All that mattered was Aeri’s touch, the way her lips felt against yours, and how perfectly everything seemed to align between you two.
The lingering thoughts about how complicated things had gotten, how you were juggling two feelings, evaporated. It was just you and Aeri in this space, no games, no pressure, just a moment of pure connection.
You couldn't deny that as you got lost in the kiss, Yunjin’s presence faded away, slipping to the back of your mind like an echo that wasn’t important right now. All that mattered was this, this intensity, this feeling. For now, you were completely focused on Aeri, letting everything else dissolve away.
As the kiss deepened, the air between you two grew heavier with every second. Aeri’s fingers brushed along your spine, sending shivers down your body as she pulled you even closer. Your lips parted slightly, and you couldn’t help but let out a soft gasp as Aeri’s hands found their way to your cheek, gently cupping it.
"You don’t know how long I’ve wanted this..." Aeri said.
Her voice was breathless, but you could hear the honesty in it. You responded by pressing your lips back to hers, feeling the connection between you intensify with each shared breath. It was like nothing else mattered anymore.
"I think I’ve wanted this too..." you told her.
You didn’t need words. The way you kissed each other spoke everything you both needed to say. Your bodies seemed to speak in unison, your hands tangling in each other’s hair, fingers gripping as if you never wanted to let go.
Aeri’s lips trailed down your neck, sending a wave of heat across your skin. You let out a soft sigh, leaning into her touch. "Aeri..."
Aeri pulled back slightly, looking into your eyes, her pupils dilated and her breath heavy. "I don’t want to stop..."
You responded immediately, kissing her with a fierce, almost desperate intensity, as if this moment was slipping away too fast. The heat, the longing, the closeness, it was all consuming. You couldn’t focus on anything else, and for once, you didn’t want to. "Neither do I..."
Your lips met again, softer now, with a tender touch, as you both held onto each other, feeling the world fade out completely. It was just you two, lost in each other’s embrace, no hesitation, no regrets, only the undeniable pull between you.
As you and Aeri’s lips finally broke apart, your breath heavy and your heart racing, the silence between you two felt strangely intimate. Her forehead rested against yours, and for a moment, everything felt perfect.
But then, your phone buzzed on the nightstand, pulling you out of the moment. You hesitated for a second before reaching for it, and when you saw the message from Yunjin, a wave of guilt washed over you.
Yunjin: "Hey, just wanted to check in. Are you okay? I’ve been thinking about you...and I want to see you. Wanna meet up?"
Your fingers froze over the screen, and the weight of everything crashed back down on you. You could feel Aeri’s gaze on you, the warmth of her body still close, but suddenly, it all felt a little too complicated.
You sighed, looking at Aeri with a bittersweet expression, trying to push aside the heaviness in your chest.
Y/N: "Aeri... Kazuha needs me."
Your voice came out with a sadness you hadn’t meant to show, but it was there, lingering in the air. You knew you had to leave, that this moment couldn’t last forever, and that you couldn’t keep juggling these feelings for much longer.
Aeri’s eyes softened, a gentle understanding in them, but there was a touch of hurt in her gaze too.
Aeri: "It’s okay... I get it. Go to her."
You nodded, feeling the weight of her words even more than you expected. You leaned in for one last kiss, a slow, tender touch, before pulling away.
Y/N: "I’ll text you later, okay?"
Aeri simply nodded, offering a small, sad smile as you stood up, grabbing your things. As you walked out the door, the guilt gnawed at you again, but there was nothing you could do now.
Part of you couldn’t help but wish you could stay with Aeri, in the warmth of that kiss, in the simplicity of just being with her. Before you turned to leave, you paused for a moment, torn between your emotions. You looked at Aeri one last time, her eyes full of understanding, but still tinged with something unspoken. The weight of everything hung in the air, your guilt, your feelings, the mess you had created, but you waved and turned around, taking one last glance at Aeri before walking out the door.
Each step felt heavier than the last, the silence between you two echoing in your mind. You couldn’t shake the feeling of leaving something behind, of walking away from something that had felt so right. But you had to go.
As you step into the hallway, your heart still aches from the kiss, the words left unsaid, and the feeling of Aeri’s touch still lingering on your skin. You couldn’t help but wonder what would’ve happened if you had stayed. But right now, you had to face what was waiting for you outside the door.
You checked your phone again, seeing a message from Yunjin, asking when you could meet up. You had promised her you'd be there soon. And as much as you didn’t want to face her just yet, you knew you couldn’t avoid it. You took a deep breath, pushing down the storm of emotions swirling inside you, and stepped forward, hoping that somehow, in the end, everything would make sense.
You arrived at the restaurant where you and Yunjin had agreed to meet, the scent of food filling the air as you stepped inside. The moment you walked in, you spotted her sitting at a corner table, scrolling through her phone. She looked up as you approached, her face lighting up with a smile that, for a brief moment, made everything feel a little easier.
"Hey," Yunjin greeted you, her voice soft but warm as she stood up. You smiled back, though it didn’t reach your eyes as fully as you would’ve liked. You both exchanged a quick hug before sitting down.
“How’ve you been?” Yunjin asked, her eyes scanning your face as if trying to gauge your mood.
You tried to play it cool, but you could feel the tension in your chest, the weight of the day’s events pressing against you. "I’ve been okay, just... busy," you replied, trying to sound casual but failing to hide the underlying strain in your voice.
Yunjin leaned back in her chair, watching you closely. "You sure? You seem a little off today."
You hesitated for a moment, unsure how to respond. The guilt from seeing Aeri still weighed heavily on you, and now, sitting here with Yunjin, you realized just how complicated everything had become. Your thoughts raced, and for a second, you wondered if you should just come clean, tell her everything. But the words felt stuck in your throat.
"Yeah, just... thinking a lot," you finally said, offering a small smile.
Yunjin didn’t seem convinced, but she nodded anyway. "Well, I’m glad you came. I’ve been thinking a lot too... about us."
The way she said "about us" made your heart flutter in a way that it shouldn’t. You knew you had to tread carefully here, there was too much at stake.
“I... I know,” you replied, your voice barely above a whisper. “I’ve been thinking about that too.”
Yunjin’s gaze softened as she reached across the table, taking your hand in hers. "I just want to make sure we’re okay. You know? I care about you a lot, and I don’t want things to get complicated between us."
You felt a pang of guilt at her words, the weight of your secret threatening to spill out. You squeezed her hand, trying to reassure her, though you knew you weren’t being entirely honest. “Yeah, I don’t want things to be weird either.”
But as you said the words, you felt like you were lying to her. You wanted to be honest, to tell her the truth about what had happened with Aeri, but the fear of how she might react held you back. The last thing you wanted was to hurt Yunjin.
For a few moments, you both sat in silence, sipping your drinks. The conversation had shifted, but you couldn’t shake the feeling that something was going unsaid. You couldn’t help but wonder if Yunjin sensed that you were hiding something, if she could see the truth in your eyes. And as much as you wanted to keep the illusion intact, you knew that sooner or later, the truth was going to come out.
Yunjin led you out of the café, her hand still gently holding yours as she guided you towards her car. The air was cool, and the late afternoon sun was beginning to dip behind the trees, casting a soft glow across the streets.
When you reached the car, Yunjin popped the trunk and began rummaging through it. You raised an eyebrow, curious. "What are we doing, exactly?" you asked, a little uncertain.
Yunjin glanced over her shoulder and gave you a playful smile. "We’re going to the park. Thought we could sit, talk... maybe get some fresh air." She pulled out a blanket from the trunk and folded it neatly under her arm.
You chuckled softly, feeling a bit surprised but also relieved. Being outside and away from everything seemed like a good idea, especially given how much had been weighing on you lately.
"Alright, sounds nice," you said, a slight smile tugging at your lips. "I wasn’t expecting this, but I like it."
Yunjin closed the trunk and walked over to the passenger side, opening the door for you. "Thought it’d be a nice change of pace," she said as she got in the driver’s seat. "We don’t need to talk about anything heavy, just... hang out."
You nodded, appreciating the simplicity of it. It was exactly what you needed. The idea of just spending some time together, without the complexities that seemed to follow you lately, felt like a small relief.
As she started the car and pulled away from the curb, you let your thoughts drift, trying to push away the weight of your situation with Aeri. It wasn’t easy, but you figured, for now, you could focus on being with Yunjin, just the two of you.
The drive to the park wasn’t long, and the quiet between you both felt comfortable. Yunjin’s music played softly in the background, but neither of you spoke much, both lost in your own thoughts. When she finally parked the car and turned off the engine, you both stepped out and walked to a quiet spot in the park.
Yunjin spread the blanket on the grass, patting it for you to sit down. "It’s nice out here," she said as she settled next to you, her eyes scanning the peaceful surroundings.
"Yeah, it really is," you agreed, taking a seat beside her. The world felt a little calmer here, as if the park was its own little bubble, far removed from the drama and confusion you’d been carrying.
You looked over at Yunjin, who was now lying back on the blanket, gazing up at the sky. You followed her lead, feeling the coolness of the grass beneath you. For a while, the two of you simply stared up at the sky, letting the quiet moments stretch out between you.
It felt nice... easy. But deep down, you knew you couldn’t escape the reality of everything forever.
The soft rustling of the leaves in the breeze was the only sound that filled the air as you and Yunjin laid on the blanket, side by side. The park around you was tranquil, with only a few other people scattered about, but it felt as if the world had slowed down for the two of you. The sun had begun to set, casting a warm, golden hue across the sky, and the air had turned cooler, making it feel like the perfect moment to just relax and be present.
After a while, you turned your head toward Yunjin, finding her gaze already on you. She offered a soft smile, one that made your heart skip a beat.
"You know," she started, her voice low and teasing, "this is a lot nicer than what I expected. I thought we’d just be talking the whole time." Her eyes twinkled, hinting at something unspoken.
You chuckled, feeling the weight of the moment settle between you two, a quiet understanding that hung in the air. "I didn’t mind talking," you replied, "but it’s nice to just... be here with you, you know?"
Yunjin’s smile softened, and she shifted closer, propping herself up on one elbow so she could look at you more intently. Her fingers brushed lightly against your arm, the touch sending a small spark through your skin.
The shift in her posture and the intimacy of the moment didn’t go unnoticed. You felt the energy between you two change, the unspoken tension building slowly but surely.
Yunjin moved a little closer, her face mere inches from yours now, and her breath warmed your skin. Her eyes searched yours, and for a moment, everything else faded away. The closeness, the chemistry between you two, was undeniable.
"Y/N..." Her voice was barely a whisper now, soft and filled with something that made your heart race. You didn’t have to say anything in response. The moment felt suspended in time.
You leaned in slightly, your breath hitching as your lips brushed against hers. The contact was tentative at first, almost hesitant, like both of you were testing the waters. But the second her lips pressed against yours again, something shifted.
It was like a switch flipped, and suddenly everything felt electric. Yunjin's hand moved to your face, cupping it gently, while your own hand found its way to her waist. You both deepened the kiss, the urgency of it growing as the world around you continued to fade away.
The kiss was tender, yet there was an undeniable intensity behind it. You felt her pull you closer, your bodies aligning perfectly as if this was where you were meant to be. Your heart raced in your chest, thumping louder with each passing second, and every touch sent a wave of warmth through your body.
It wasn’t like anything you had expected when you first got into the car with her, but it felt... right. There was something about being in this space with Yunjin that made everything else fall into place. In that moment, you couldn’t think of anything but the kiss, the connection, and the way everything seemed to feel so intense.
Yunjin's lips were soft against yours, but there was an intensity behind each kiss that made your heart race faster. Her hand gently cupped your face, tilting it slightly, as her other hand slid down to your waist, pulling you closer. You could feel the heat of her body against yours, the way she was melting into the kiss, and it made everything inside you stir.
You whisper against her lips "I’ve... wanted this. With you."
Yunjin's breath hitched, and she pulled back just enough to meet your eyes. Her gaze was dark, filled with desire, but there was also something else there, something soft, almost vulnerable."I know... me too." Yunjin said softly.
Her words made your heart skip, and before you could process it, she was kissing you again, more urgently this time. Her lips moved against yours with a passion that made everything else fade away. You responded in kind, your hand slipping into her hair, tugging her even closer, as your body pressed into hers.
The kiss deepened, both of you trying to convey everything you hadn’t said out loud, every unspoken thought, through the touch of your lips. Yunjin’s hand slid lower, her fingers tracing the line of your back, making your breath hitch.
You could feel her smile against your lips, her hands moving with purpose, pulling you even tighter against her. Every inch of your body was alive with the heat between you, and the more you kissed, the less you cared about anything else.
It wasn’t rushed, but it wasn’t slow either, it was a blend of urgency and need, both of you trying to express something you hadn’t yet put into words. Your hands moved to her waist, pulling her in closer, if that was even possible, and you could feel her heartbeat against yours. It was wild, almost as if it was happening without thinking, but it felt so natural, so right.
As you finally pulled away, both of you gasping for air, there was a moment of silence. Yunjin’s eyes were dark, filled with something that mirrored your own feelings, desire, intensity, and maybe even a little bit of vulnerability. You stared at each other for a few seconds, both of you trying to catch your breath, your hearts still pounding in your chests. " I really like you Y/n"
The words hung in the air, almost like a confession, and for a split second, everything else seemed to fade away. Yunjin’s gaze was unwavering, her voice quiet but sincere. You could feel the weight of what she had said, how much it meant, how much it meant to her.
Your heart skipped a beat, and a flutter of warmth spread through you. You hadn’t expected those words, but now that they were spoken, it felt like the truth between you two had finally surfaced. You opened your mouth to respond, but for a moment, the words caught in your throat.
Instead, you reached out, gently cupping her face in your hands, and leaned in to kiss her again, this time softer, as if the kiss was a response to everything unspoken. Your lips met in a tender connection, and you could feel her smile against your mouth. It was a reassurance, a promise, silent, but loud enough to make your heart race all over again.
You pulled back just slightly, resting your forehead against hers, your breath mingling. "I like you too, Yunjin," you said softly, the words flowing with ease now. "More than I expected."
Yunjin's eyes softened, a hint of relief flashing in them as she smiled, her hands running through your hair gently. "I'm glad," she whispered, her voice full of sincerity.
What are you gonna do now?
The day had been a whirlwind, two intense, emotional encounters with Aeri and Yunjin that had left you dizzy, confused, and overwhelmed. The heat of the kisses still lingered on your lips, but the warmth was tainted by a growing sense of anxiety that gnawed at you. You had no idea what to do anymore.
The whirlwind of emotions inside you was like a storm that refused to settle. One moment, you were lost in Aeri’s touch, feeling like nothing else mattered, and the next, you were kissing Yunjin with the same intensity, feeling something real you couldn’t deny. But now? Now, you were left in the silence, alone with your thoughts, trying to make sense of it all.
You kept replaying everything over and over in your mind, the way Aeri’s lips felt, how Yunjin’s touch made your heart race. The more you thought about it, the more the confusion grew. You never wanted to hurt either of them, but how could you possibly choose when both felt so right in different ways?
Your heart was torn in two, and no matter how hard you tried to focus on just one, the other kept sneaking into your thoughts. You didn’t want to betray anyone’s trust, yet here you were, caught in the middle of something that seemed to grow messier with every passing second.
You felt stressed, like you were carrying a weight you couldn’t put down. How were you supposed to make sense of your feelings for both Aeri and Yunjin? How could you be fair to either of them?
Your mind raced, trying to find answers, but it felt like every time you got close to one, the other tugged you in a different direction. You just wanted clarity, some way to figure out how to move forward, or if you could even move forward without everything crashing down around you.
Monday morning arrived, but you could barely focus. Your mind was still tangled in the mess you’d made over the weekend, switching between thoughts of Aeri and Yunjin. You kept replaying the moments you’d shared with each of them, trying to make sense of everything. But all you could feel was the weight of your confusion and guilt bearing down on you.
You were lost in your thoughts as you walked across campus, your mind miles away from everything around you. It wasn’t until you heard Yunjin’s voice cut through your haze that your head snapped up, her voice unmistakable, calling out your name.
“Y/N!”
Your heart skipped a beat, your body freezing in place as your eyes locked onto her. She was sitting at a table with none other than Aeri, who was looking up at you with wide eyes, brows furrowed in confusion. Your breath caught in your throat as the realization hit you like a wave.
Yunjin knew you. And now, Aeri was sitting there beside her, clearly wondering what was going on. The combination of their gazes, the unease in the air, and the sudden pressure made your heart race uncontrollably.
This is it, you thought. You're going to be exposed. Everything you had tried so hard to keep separate was about to collide, and you could feel the tension in your chest building up like a storm about to burst.
The ground beneath you seemed to shift, your knees feeling weak as the anxiety hit you full force. You couldn’t decide if you wanted to run or face them head-on. Either way, you felt like you might faint right there on the spot, your heart pounding so loud you were sure they could hear it.
You slowly took a step toward the table, trying to act normal, but the weight of the situation felt like it was crushing you. You didn’t know what to say, how to explain yourself. Your mind was too frantic, too tangled up in guilt and panic to form a coherent thought.
The moment had arrived, and everything you’d been trying to avoid was now right in front of you.
Your feet moved slowly, almost unwillingly, as you approached the table where Yunjin and Aeri were sitting. Every step felt heavier than the last, your mind scrambling to figure out what to do or say, but nothing came. It was like the words were trapped in your throat.
Yunjin’s eyes lit up when she saw you, a wide grin forming on her face, clearly oblivious to the chaos running through your head. “Hey!” she greeted, her tone warm, but you could feel the tension creeping in, the weight of Aeri’s confused gaze on you.
Aeri, on the other hand, looked like she was trying to process the situation. Her expression flickered between curiosity and suspicion, and it made your chest tighten even more. She had no idea what was going on, but the fact that you were here now, with Yunjin, made things incredibly complicated. You could already feel the questions building in the air.
You took a deep breath, trying to steady yourself before speaking. “Hey…” Your voice felt like a faint whisper, completely at odds with the storm raging inside you. “I didn’t expect to see you two together,” you added, trying to force a casual tone, though it was anything but.
Yunjin raised an eyebrow, clearly amused by your awkwardness. “Well, Aeri and I were just chatting, and I figured I’d introduce her to you. I didn’t know you two hadn’t met yet.” Her tone was light, but there was a small hint of something you couldn’t quite place.
Aeri, sensing the tension but still confused, looked between the two of you. “Yeah, I didn’t know you knew each other,” she said, her voice soft, but the curiosity was palpable. “Is there something I’m missing?”
Your heart hammered in your chest, the situation spiraling out of your control. You needed to act quickly, to explain something, anything to make it seem less weird, but your mind was drawing blanks. You glanced at both of them, your stomach twisting with guilt. The whole situation felt like a trainwreck waiting to happen.
“Uh, yeah, we met recently…” You trailed off, the words coming out weak and unsure. The truth seemed too complicated, too messy to explain now. So, you took a step back and tried to deflect. “I didn’t realize you two were friends,” you said to Aeri, forcing a smile that didn’t quite reach your eyes.
Aeri didn’t seem convinced. Her gaze softened, but there was a flicker of something, maybe suspicion, maybe hurt, that you couldn’t ignore. She opened her mouth, but before she could say anything, Yunjin interjected, her voice suddenly more serious.
“Y/N… we need to talk later,” Yunjin said, her eyes glancing over at Aeri quickly before meeting your gaze. The weight of those words hit you hard, and you could feel the tension in your shoulders. You weren’t sure if she was referring to what had happened between the two of you or the mess of emotions that had been left unaddressed. Either way, you knew you were in deep now.
Aeri’s eyes flickered between the two of you, narrowing slightly as she looked back at Yunjin. “What do you mean by that?” she asked, a bit sharper this time.
Yunjin chuckled softly, trying to ease the tension, but you could tell it was only making things worse. “It’s nothing to worry about, Aeri. Just... something personal.”
You could feel Aeri’s eyes on you, piercing through you as if trying to read every thought on your face. She was waiting for something more, and the longer you stayed silent, the harder it became to dodge the situation. Your heart thudded in your chest, every second making the air feel thicker, more suffocating.
You took a deep breath, trying to steady yourself, but it didn’t help. The world around you felt like it was spinning, and you were stuck in the middle of it all. Something had to give, and you had no idea how to make it happen.
All you could do was stand there, caught in a lie, drowning in the complexity of your feelings.
The tension in the air was thick as you stood there, caught between Yunjin and Aeri. You hadn’t expected this moment to come so soon, yet here you were, your heart pounding and your mind racing for a way out of the mess you had unknowingly created. Aeri was eyeing you, her arms crossed tightly over her chest, and the confusion in her expression slowly started to shift into suspicion. Yunjin, sitting beside her, was much more relaxed on the outside, but you could see the subtle way her eyes flicked back and forth between the two of you, a shift in her posture that suggested she was sensing something was off.
Aeri was the first to speak, her voice low but sharp. “So... Y/N, you know Yunjin?” she asked, her tone carefully neutral, but the hint of suspicion was undeniable. You could feel her watching you intently, waiting for your response.
Yunjin, ever the calm one, shifted in her seat, clearly trying to keep things light. “Yeah, we met recently. But you didn’t mention that you two knew each other,” she added, her voice almost too casual. There was an edge to her words that betrayed her attempt to act like everything was fine. She turned to Aeri, a half-smile on her lips. “I didn’t realize you were so close with Y/N.”
The mention of your name hanging in the air made your stomach tighten, and you could already feel the weight of their scrutiny pressing down on you. You opened your mouth to speak, but your words were stuck, tangled up in a knot of guilt and confusion. Aeri’s eyes narrowed slightly, her gaze flicking between you and Yunjin, and you could see the wheels turning in her head. She was piecing things together in her mind, and you knew the moment she realized something wasn’t right.
Aeri’s lips pressed into a thin line as she looked at you. “I didn’t know you two were... so familiar with each other,” she said, her voice cool but laced with an undercurrent of suspicion. “Are you sure there’s nothing else going on between the two of you?”
Yunjin’s gaze turned toward you, her expression unreadable for a split second before she leaned forward slightly, a subtle shift in her posture. Her tone had softened, but it was still cautious. “Yeah, Y/N. You’ve never mentioned that you were close to Aeri. What’s going on?”
You could feel their eyes on you, both of them waiting for an answer, and the silence that followed felt like it would swallow you whole. It wasn’t just a casual conversation anymore. Both women were starting to pick up on something, on the subtle shifts in your demeanor, the way you avoided certain questions, the tension that clung to the air between you.
Aeri’s eyes narrowed further as she leaned in just a bit, her voice barely above a whisper but sharp with suspicion. “What is this? Am I missing something, Y/N?” She wasn’t angry yet, but it was clear she wasn’t going to let this go. The way her gaze lingered on you, expectant and demanding, made you feel small.
Yunjin, still trying to keep the atmosphere light, raised an eyebrow. “You’ve been acting strange lately. Care to explain, Y/N?” There was a subtle change in her tone now, something that hinted at doubt.
The weight of the question pressed down on you. It felt like the walls were closing in on you, like you were caught in a lie you couldn’t escape from. They were both suspicious, their once casual interest in your life now tinged with doubt. You couldn’t keep up the façade any longer, but you had no idea how to get out of this without hurting someone.
Aeri crossed her arms, her gaze steady on you. “So what is it, Y/N? What’s going on with you and Yunjin?” There was no more pretense now, her tone was demanding, like she was waiting for you to fess up.
Yunjin was quiet for a moment, her expression unreadable, but you could see the glimmer of suspicion behind her eyes now, just barely concealed by her calm demeanor. “Yeah, Y/N. What’s going on?” she echoed, her voice slightly colder now.
You could feel the pressure mounting, the noose of your tangled emotions threatening to snap. There was no easy way out of this, no smooth excuse or perfect lie to make everything go away. The confusion, the tension, the guilt... it was all crashing over you at once, and you didn’t know how to handle it. All you could do was stand there, caught between two women who were now looking at you with growing suspicion.
The weight of their eyes on you, the suspicion and unspoken questions hanging in the air, finally broke you. You took a deep breath, your chest tightening, and you realized there was no escaping this anymore. The lies, the half-truths, the constant juggling, it had to stop. You owed them both the truth, even if it meant losing them both. You owed it to yourself to be honest.
You looked at Aeri first, her expression a mixture of confusion and hurt, and then at Yunjin, whose face had gone from casual curiosity to something darker. You swallowed, your throat dry, but you knew there was no other choice now.
“I... I’m seeing both of you,” you said, the words coming out slower than you expected, heavy with the weight of everything that had been left unsaid until now. Your heart was pounding, and you felt exposed in a way you hadn’t before. “I’ve been spending time with both of you, and I... I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t want to hurt anyone.”
The silence that followed was deafening. Aeri blinked, her expression unreadable at first, and then her lips pressed into a thin line. Her arms were still crossed, but now there was a tension in her posture that made it clear she was holding back a storm of emotions. Yunjin, on the other hand, seemed still for a moment, her gaze fixed on you, but you could see the wheels turning in her head, the realization starting to sink in.
Aeri was the first to speak, her voice low and strained. “So... you’ve been seeing both of us, this whole time? And you didn’t think either of us would find out?” Her words were sharp, edged with something you couldn’t quite place, disappointment, maybe? Betrayal? You couldn’t tell, but the way she looked at you made you feel small. “And you couldn’t be honest with us?”
“I... I should’ve told you both,” you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper. The weight of your guilt made your chest feel tighter. “I didn’t know how to say it. I didn’t want to hurt either of you, but I should’ve known better. I was scared.”
Yunjin finally spoke, her voice quieter but no less impactful. “So, all this time, you’ve been lying to both of us?” She shook her head, her brow furrowing in disbelief. “I don’t even know what to think right now. I thought... I thought you were different.”
You winced at her words, feeling the sting deep in your chest. “I am different,” you tried to explain, though the words felt hollow. “I didn’t mean for it to get like this. I didn’t want to hurt you, Yunjin. I just... I didn’t know how to choose.”
Aeri’s arms uncrossed, and she took a small step back, her gaze drifting away from you as if she couldn’t bear to look you in the eye anymore. “You should’ve chosen sooner,” she said quietly, her voice breaking just slightly, though she quickly regained her composure. “But now it’s too late.”
The words hit you like a punch to the gut. The tension between all three of you was palpable, a storm of emotions swirling in the air. You had done the right thing by finally being honest, but now it felt like you had destroyed everything in the process.
“I’m sorry,” you whispered, but it didn’t feel like enough. It didn’t feel like it could undo the damage you’d done.
The tension in the air lingered, thick and suffocating. You stood there, waiting for something, anything, that would break the silence. But the longer you stood, the more the weight of your actions pressed down on you. Aeri and Yunjin exchanged a brief look, their faces a mixture of confusion, hurt, and maybe even a little anger.
Yunjin shifted slightly, breaking the silence. “I don’t know what to say right now,” she said, her voice strained. She shook her head, her eyes narrowing. “You think we’re just supposed to be okay with this? That we can just go on like nothing happened?”
Aeri stepped forward, her arms crossing once more as she looked at you. “I didn’t expect this from you, Y/N,” she said, her tone soft, but there was an unmistakable edge to it. “I thought you cared about me, about us, but you didn’t even have the decency to be upfront from the start.”
“I do care,” you said, almost pleading. “That’s the problem. I care about both of you. I like you both. But I was scared... I didn’t want to hurt anyone, and now I’ve hurt both of you.”
“You should’ve thought about that before,” Aeri shot back, her eyes flashing with hurt. “You’ve been playing games with us this whole time, and now you want us to just accept it?”
Yunjin took a deep breath, her eyes searching yours. “What do you want, Y/N?” she asked, her voice quieter now but no less intense. “Do you expect us to just move on from this? Do you expect us to just forgive you?”
The question hung in the air, heavier than anything else. You didn’t have an answer. You didn’t know what you were expecting from them. You didn’t know what you wanted anymore.
“I don’t know what to do,” you admitted, your voice barely a whisper. “I don’t want to lose either of you.”
Aeri let out a sharp exhale, frustration clear on her face. “Well, sometimes you have to face the consequences of your actions, Y/N. And right now, it doesn’t look like you’re going to get away without facing them.”
“I don’t know what happens now,” you murmured, the reality of the situation settling in. The weight of the consequences, the uncertainty of the future, it was all too much.
There was a long pause as the three of you stood there, emotions running high, the distance between you growing with every passing second. You didn’t know how to fix this, and you had no idea if there was even a way to make things right.
Finally, Yunjin spoke again, her voice barely above a whisper. “I need some time to think. I can’t... I can’t process this all right now.”
Aeri nodded, her expression unreadable. “Same here. I think we both need time.”
With that, both of them turned away, walking in opposite directions, leaving you standing there alone. The silence was deafening, and for the first time in a long while, you felt truly lost.
You had no idea how to fix things or if you even could. But one thing was certain, you had never felt more alone in your life.
You rush home, your heart heavy, your mind a tangled mess of guilt, confusion, and regret. The moment you step through the door, you barely manage to close it behind you before the floodgates open. You collapse onto your bed, burying your face in your hands as the tears come pouring out. The emotions you've been bottling up for weeks, no, for months, are finally spilling over, and you can't stop them.
You feel like you're drowning in the weight of everything, Aeri’s hurt, Yunjin’s disappointment, and the realization that you've messed up in ways you can’t undo. You don't know what you were expecting, but this? This feels like the end of everything. The tears come harder, and you let them, because right now, it’s the only way to release the pain.
There’s a knock on your door, and without waiting for an answer, Kazuha steps inside. Her eyes soften when she sees you on the bed, your face streaked with tears. She doesn’t say anything at first, but you can feel her presence comforting in its own way. She sits next to you, rubbing your back gently.
“You were right,” you say between sobs, your voice shaky. “I messed everything up. I’m such an idiot.”
Kazuha sighs, her hand pausing on your back. “I told you it would catch up to you,” she says softly, her tone calm but not unkind. “You can’t juggle people’s feelings like that and expect everything to stay fine.”
You nod, sniffling as you wipe your eyes, unable to meet her gaze. “I didn’t want to hurt them, Kazuha. I just... I don’t know. I thought maybe I could handle it, but now I’ve lost both of them.”
Kazuha doesn’t respond immediately, instead waiting for you to gather yourself. “You can’t keep hiding from the truth, Y/N,” she says, her voice steady. “You have to be honest with yourself and with others, no matter how hard it is. And maybe you’ll lose them, maybe you won’t. But you can’t keep playing this game.”
You look at her then, finally meeting her eyes, and see the truth in her gaze. The weight of her words hits you harder than any of the things you’ve been telling yourself.
“I know,” you say quietly. “I just... I didn’t think it would be this hard.”
Kazuha gives you a small, understanding smile. “Of course it’s hard. It’s life. But this is how we learn. You’ll figure it out, even if it doesn’t feel like it now.”
The tears come again, but this time you don’t try to fight them. Kazuha just stays beside you, her presence grounding you, reminding you that you’re not alone, even if it feels like the world is falling apart around you.
The next day, you wake up to a heavy, lingering sense of dread. The events from yesterday are still fresh in your mind, the conversation with Aeri and Yunjin replaying in your head. You can't shake the feeling that everything is unraveling, and you have no idea how to put it back together.
You try to distract yourself by getting ready for the day, going through the motions of getting dressed and grabbing your things, but the weight of what happened presses on your chest, making it hard to focus. You barely eat, your mind too consumed by the mess you've created.
When you finally make it to campus, you’re met with a strange mix of emotions. There’s an ache in your stomach at the thought of seeing Aeri and Yunjin again, but also a part of you knows you need to face them. You can’t keep avoiding them. But how do you even begin to fix this?
As you walk across campus, you spot Yunjin sitting by a bench, her expression unreadable as she looks out at the students passing by. Your heart skips, and you hesitate, unsure of whether to approach her or not.
But before you can make a decision, you hear Aeri’s voice from behind you. “Y/N.”
You freeze. The way she says your name, soft but with an edge of something you can’t quite place, makes your stomach flip. Slowly, you turn to face her, finding her standing a few feet away, arms crossed, her eyes trained on you.
"I need to talk to you," Aeri says, her voice tight but not angry. You can feel the tension in the air between you two, but there's something almost... resigned in her expression.
"Okay," you manage to say, voice barely above a whisper. You glance over at Yunjin, who's watching you both with a guarded look, but she doesn’t move, doesn’t approach.
Aeri nods toward a quieter area of campus, and you follow her, your heart racing. The weight of everything, the guilt, the regret, the fear of losing them both, presses down on you as you walk, and you know that this conversation will either be the beginning of something healing or the end of everything.
When you’re out of earshot of the crowds, Aeri stops and turns to face you. Her eyes are still guarded, but there’s a vulnerability there too, something raw that makes your heart ache.
“You really thought you could keep this from us, didn’t you?” Aeri’s voice cracks slightly, and she quickly looks away, trying to compose herself. “I thought you were better than this.”
You swallow hard, the words you’ve been holding back threatening to spill over. "I didn’t want to hurt you, Aeri. I never meant for any of this to happen.”
Her eyes meet yours again, but this time there's a hint of disappointment, a weight you didn't realize you’d put on her. "But you did, Y/N. You hurt both of us.”
The silence that falls between you is thick, suffocating. You want to apologize, to explain everything, but nothing seems right.
“I... I don’t know what to do,” you admit, your voice shaking. “I like both of you. I didn’t expect it to get this complicated, but here we are.”
Aeri takes a deep breath, looking away for a moment before turning her gaze back to you. “You need to figure out what you really want, Y/N. Because right now, it feels like you’re just... avoiding the truth. Running from it.”
Your throat tightens, and you can feel the sting of tears threatening again. “I know... I know I messed up.”
Aeri shakes her head, her expression softening, though it doesn’t take away the hurt. “I’m not mad, Y/N. I’m hurt. And I don’t know if I can keep going like this.”
The words hit you like a punch in the gut, and you suddenly feel like the ground beneath you is slipping away.
“I never meant to hurt you, Aeri,” you say, your voice barely above a whisper.
Aeri steps back, a sigh escaping her lips. “I think I need some space, Y/N. I can’t keep doing this.”
You nod, your heart breaking as you watch her walk away, every step feeling like another fracture in the connection you once shared. You turn slowly, only to meet Yunjin’s gaze from across the campus, her eyes full of questions. You can’t help but feel like you're sinking deeper into this mess, and no matter what you do now, it might be too late to make things right.
But the last thing Aeri said before she left echoes in your head: “As much as I’m hurt, I still really like you.”
The weight of Aeri’s words still lingers in the air, heavy and suffocating. You stand there, frozen for a moment, unable to move. You feel like everything is collapsing in on you, and you're caught between two people you care about, neither of whom are happy with you right now.
You finally take a few shaky steps forward, looking over at Yunjin. She hasn’t moved, but her eyes are intense, waiting for you to make the next move. The tension is palpable, and you can almost hear her thoughts swirling in the air around you.
You approach her slowly, your heart pounding in your chest. It’s hard to meet her gaze directly, but you do anyway, because this is something you can’t avoid anymore.
“Yunjin,” you start, your voice hoarse, “I never meant for any of this to happen. I didn’t want to hurt you or Aeri. But... I don’t know what to do. I like both of you, and I’ve been lying to myself about how I felt.”
Yunjin’s eyes soften, but she doesn’t say anything for a long moment. The silence between you two feels like an eternity, and you’re starting to doubt whether you’ve made the right choice, whether telling the truth was the best thing after all.
“I didn’t expect this either,” Yunjin finally says, her voice surprisingly calm. “But I’m not blind, Y/N. I can see what’s been going on. You’re not the only one feeling confused.”
You take a deep breath, your stomach turning as you look at her. “I never meant to make you feel like that. I’m just... I don’t know what I want anymore. I care about both of you.”
Yunjin studies you for a moment, and then, much to your surprise, she reaches out and gently touches your arm. “I’m not going to lie and say that I’m okay with all of this. But I understand that feelings aren’t always something you can control. What I can’t deal with is the dishonesty.”
Her words sting, but they also make sense. She’s right. You’ve been avoiding the truth for too long, letting everything fester. But even now, it feels like a monumental task to sort through the mess you've made.
“I understand,” you whisper, your chest tightening again. “But... can you give me another chance? I know I messed up, but I want to make things right. I don’t know how, but I’ll try.”
Yunjin looks at you for a long time, her expression unreadable. Finally, she nods slowly, but there’s still a shadow of uncertainty in her eyes. “We’ll see, Y/N. But first... you need to figure things out, because I can’t keep going in circles like this. Neither can Aeri.”
The words settle heavily between you both. It’s not an answer you were hoping for, but it’s a start, at least she hasn’t turned her back on you completely.
You look around, seeing Aeri’s silhouette walking away in the distance. It’s clear that there’s so much more to fix, and that it won’t be easy. But for the first time in what feels like forever, you don’t feel completely lost. There’s a tiny sliver of hope left, and you’re determined to fight for it, whatever the outcome might be.
The week that follows feels like an eternity. You gave them both the space they asked for, stepping back and letting the silence settle in between the three of you. Your phone stays quiet, your heartbeats growing louder with each passing day. You try to fill the hours with distractions, schoolwork, spending time with friends, and even focusing on things that once brought you peace, but it all feels hollow. The guilt weighs heavy, always present in the back of your mind.
There are moments when you catch yourself reaching for your phone, your fingers hovering over the screen as if you could send a text that would make everything better. But each time, you pull back. You know they need time. You know you need time. It doesn't make the waiting any easier, though.
Your days pass in a blur of routine. You go through the motions, attend your classes, make small talk with classmates, but your mind is constantly racing. It’s like you’re living in two worlds at once: one where you’re just trying to survive, and another where you’re completely consumed by the consequences of your actions.
Still, you keep your composure. You tell yourself over and over that you can handle this. That you can wait. That things will eventually fall into place.
But deep down, you’re a mess. You think of Aeri, her quiet but hurt words, her need for space that still feels like a heavy weight on your chest. Then there’s Yunjin, her calm demeanor that hides the frustration and confusion you know she must be feeling. Both of them deserve honesty. Both of them deserve more than what you’ve given them.
You don’t know what will happen when the week ends. But you know you can’t hide forever. The silence has been deafening, and every moment that passes feels like it’s getting harder to hold everything together.
You’re just... trying to be patient. Trying to wait for the right moment to fix things.
But inside, your heart is breaking piece by piece. And you wonder if you’ll ever be able to fix the mess you’ve made.
Two weeks had passed since everything blew up. You’d given Aeri and Yunjin the space they needed, keeping your distance to give them time to process. The silence between the three of you had been deafening, and in your mind, it had been a blur of guilt, confusion, and self-doubt. You never imagined that you’d end up in a situation like this, but it had happened. All you could do was try to keep your composure and not let the weight of it all crush you.
Now, you were back in the library, trying to focus on your studies. The books in front of you were just words and pages, but your mind? Your mind was a mess. You tried to force yourself to concentrate, to block out the thoughts swirling around your feelings for both Aeri and Yunjin. It wasn’t working. Every moment felt like an internal battle.
You didn’t even realize how much time had passed, so absorbed in your work. That was, until you heard a soft cough, a clearing of the throat that sliced through the silence. You jumped, startled, your heart skipping a beat. As you looked up, you saw them, Aeri and Yunjin, standing right in front of you, their presence almost looming.
“Y/N, we need to talk,” Aeri said, her voice calm but carrying an edge of something you couldn’t quite place.
You blinked, trying to shake off the shock. “What? Oh, yeah. Of course.” Your voice was shaky, betraying the anxiety you were feeling inside. You quickly gathered your things, heart racing, and followed them as they led you out of the library.
“Where are we going?” you asked, trying to catch your breath as your nerves crept up on you.
“My place,” Aeri replied.
The walk to Aeri’s apartment felt like an eternity. Every step you took felt heavier than the last, the weight of uncertainty pressing down on you. What could they possibly want to talk about? Had they made up their minds about what was going on between you? Was this the end of everything? You could feel your stomach in knots, unsure of what to expect.
When you finally got to Aeri’s apartment, you sat down on the couch, trying to steady your breath, but your nerves were running wild. You glanced at both of them, but neither spoke immediately. The air between you was thick, heavy with unspoken words.
Finally, Yunjin broke the silence, her voice steady but full of emotion. “Y/N, Aeri and I have been talking,” she began. “And we came to a conclusion.”
Your heart raced, and you tried to prepare yourself for whatever was coming, but nothing could have prepared you for what Yunjin said next.
“It’s clear that we both like you, and you like us. And to make things less confusing for you,” Yunjin continued, “Aeri and I were thinking... we all date.”
Your mind went completely blank. What?
You blinked, your throat tightening as you tried to process the words. Your head swam, and you felt like the ground was slipping away beneath you.
“Wait,” you stammered, standing up quickly. “You’re saying... you both want to, date me? Like, together?”
Aeri’s eyes softened, her expression gentle yet resolute. “Yes. We talked about it. We both care about you, Y/N. And we can’t deny what’s between us. We thought maybe this would make things clearer, less confusing. We want to be with you, and we’re willing to try this... together.”
Yunjin nodded in agreement, her gaze fixed on you. “And also, Aeri and I confessed that we both had a crush on each other. So, we thought this would be easier for all of us.”
Your chest tightened, and your mind raced. A crush on each other? You looked between Aeri and Yunjin, unsure of what to say. This wasn’t just some casual conversation anymore. This was a big step, something that could change everything.
“I, I don’t know what to say,” you finally whispered, your voice trembling. “I care about both of you. But this... this is a lot. A lot to take in.”
Aeri stepped closer, her voice softening. “We know, Y/N. It’s not easy. But we’re here for you. We want you to be happy. And if that means trying this, together, then we’re ready for that.”
Yunjin nodded, her expression calm but firm. “We’re willing to take the leap, Y/N. Together, if you are.”
Your heart hammered in your chest, and you felt your emotions swirling in a chaotic mix. But somewhere deep inside, you knew that this wasn’t the end. It wasn’t even the beginning of the end. It was a new chapter, a new possibility.
You took a deep breath, your voice shaky but determined. “I... I don’t know what will happen, but... I want to try. I don’t want to lose either of you.”
Aeri smiled, relief flashing across her face, and Yunjin’s eyes softened with a sense of understanding. You didn’t have all the answers, but for the first time in a while, you felt a glimmer of hope.
And maybe that was enough for now.
The following days felt like a whirlwind. You were still processing everything, still getting used to the idea that Aeri and Yunjin were both willing to try this... together. It was exhilarating, overwhelming, and confusing all at once. But something about it felt right, too. You weren’t sure where this would lead, but you couldn’t deny the connection you had with both of them.
Aeri and Yunjin made sure to check in with you, their conversations careful but full of reassurance. They didn’t want to rush you, but they were both clear about wanting to move forward, together. You hadn’t given them a definite answer yet, but every moment with them made it harder to imagine a life without them.
That evening, you met them at a small café, the quiet hum of conversation around you doing little to calm the storm inside your mind. You found your seat, and within moments, both Aeri and Yunjin joined you, sitting across from you, their faces soft but expectant.
“You okay?” Aeri asked gently, her eyes scanning your face as if searching for any signs of doubt or hesitation.
You nodded, even though your heart was still heavy with questions. “Yeah, I’m just... trying to wrap my head around everything.”
Yunjin gave you a small smile, her fingers gently tapping on her coffee cup. “We know it’s a lot to take in. But we’re in this together, okay? No pressure. We just want to be clear with each other.”
You looked between them, feeling your heart swell at the thought of how much effort they were putting into this. They both cared. They really did. You could see it in the way they looked at you, the way they spoke to you, the way they tried to make everything easier for you.
“I’ve been thinking,” you started, your voice quieter now, unsure of how to articulate what was going on inside you. “This is all new to me. I’ve never been in a situation like this before.”
Yunjin’s eyes softened, her voice calm. “We know, Y/N. We’re not trying to force anything. We just want you to feel comfortable, to feel like this is something we all want. There’s no rush.”
Aeri nodded in agreement, her expression sincere. “Yeah. We want to take it slow, if that’s what you need. No one’s expecting anything crazy right away. We’re all figuring this out together.”
You let out a breath, feeling a sense of relief flood through you. As much as the situation was complicated, you realized that maybe it was the best kind of complicated, one where everyone was on the same page, where communication was key, and where you could be honest with each other.
“I think... I think I want to try,” you said finally, your heart pounding as the words left your mouth. “I want to see where this can go. With both of you.”
Both Aeri and Yunjin smiled, and something about their expressions made you feel like maybe this could work. Maybe you didn’t have to choose between them. Maybe the three of you could find a way to navigate this, together.
“We’re in this together, Y/N,” Aeri said softly, her eyes meeting yours with a promise. “We’ll figure it out, one step at a time.”
Yunjin reached across the table, her hand brushing yours gently. “No matter what, we’ve got each other’s backs. We’re all in this.”
The days passed by, and the three of you fell into a routine, one that was different from anything you’d ever known, but still comforting. Your connection with both Aeri and Yunjin grew stronger, and there was a sense of ease between the three of you, despite the complexity of the situation. You were still figuring out the details, but you knew deep down that this was something real, something worth exploring.
One evening, you found yourself at Aeri's apartment again, sitting on the couch with Yunjin and Aeri beside you. The air between you was warm, filled with the quiet hum of music in the background and the clink of mugs as you all sipped on your drinks. But tonight, there was something different. A lingering sense of anticipation hung in the air, a feeling that something important was about to happen.
Aeri turned to you, her usual playful expression softened into something more serious. "Y/N," she began, her voice calm but full of meaning. "We've been talking... and we both feel really strongly about you."
Yunjin nodded, her eyes never leaving yours, her gaze filled with warmth. "We both care about you a lot, and we want to take this to the next step."
You tilted your head, slightly confused but also intrigued. "What do you mean?" you asked, your heart beginning to race with the uncertainty of the moment.
Aeri took a deep breath, glancing at Yunjin for a brief moment before looking back at you. "What we're trying to say is... we both want you to be our girlfriend. Officially. Together."
Your breath hitched in your chest. The words were unexpected, yet they felt like they were always meant to come from them. A part of you had been wondering if this was where things were heading, but hearing them say it out loud made it feel real, more real than anything you had imagined.
"Wait, so... both of you?" you asked, your voice barely above a whisper, unsure if you heard them correctly.
Yunjin smiled, reaching out to gently take your hand in hers. "Yes, both of us," she confirmed. "We want to be with you, Y/N. We know this isn't a conventional situation, but it's real. And we're ready for this, if you are."
Aeri nodded, her voice softer but just as earnest. "We're asking you because we really believe in this. In us. But we want to know if you feel the same. Do you want to be with us, too? Not just as friends... but as something more?"
You felt your heart race as a mixture of emotions flooded your chest. You had never thought you'd find yourself in a situation like this, but being with them felt right. You liked both of them, maybe even loved them, in different ways, and the idea of being with both of them didn’t seem as impossible as you once thought. You could feel the sincerity in their words, the love they were offering, and the trust they had in you.
Taking a deep breath, you finally nodded, your voice shaky but sure. "Yes. I want to be with both of you too."
Aeri and Yunjin’s faces lit up with relief and joy. They both leaned in, pulling you into a warm embrace. The feeling of their arms around you was comforting, like a promise that no matter what, you were all in this together.
"Thank you, Y/N," Aeri whispered, her voice full of tenderness. "This means everything to us."
Yunjin kissed the top of your head softly. "We’ve got you. Always."
Months passed, and in the blink of an eye, everything had changed. The three of you had navigated the delicate balance of your relationship, learning more about each other every day, about the small quirks, the shared laughter, the quiet moments that made everything feel right. The initial uncertainty had long faded, replaced by a deep, genuine love that bound you all together.
You found yourself waking up in the mornings with Aeri and Yunjin beside you, feeling at home in a way you never had before. The three of you had built a rhythm, an unspoken understanding of each other's needs, boundaries, and desires. It was imperfect, messy at times, but also beautiful in its own way.
There were times when the world outside seemed too complicated, too judgmental, but when you were with Aeri and Yunjin, everything made sense. You weren’t just a couple; you were a team. You had created something unique, something yours.
One evening, after a long day of studying and work, the three of you found yourselves sitting on the couch in Aeri's apartment, nestled into each other. The warmth of their presence was comforting as you all watched a movie, the soft glow of the screen illuminating your faces. Aeri was curled up against your side, her head resting on your shoulder, while Yunjin was leaning against your other side, her hand entwined with yours.
You hadn’t realized how much you needed this moment of peace, no distractions, no pressures, just the three of you, together.
“I love you,” Yunjin said softly, her voice barely above a whisper as she leaned in to kiss you gently on the cheek. The words felt like a promise, one that had been building up over time, and hearing them from her made your heart swell.
Aeri smiled, brushing a lock of hair from your face as she shifted to kiss you on the lips. “I love you too,” she murmured, her voice full of affection.
The words settled in your chest like a heavy weight, but in the best way. “I love both of you,” you replied, your voice filled with sincerity. It wasn’t something you had to think about anymore; it was just the truth. You had fallen in love with both of them, in your own way, and the three of you had built something so strong, so unshakeable, that it felt like nothing else mattered.
The three of you shared a long, quiet kiss after that, the kind of kiss that spoke more than words ever could. It wasn’t about promises or declarations, it was just about love, pure and simple.
Aeri pulled back, looking at you both with a soft smile. “I never imagined something like this,” she admitted, her eyes full of affection. “But I can’t imagine my life without you two.”
Yunjin nodded, her expression warm. “I feel the same way. I never thought I could love two people like this, but with you... it just feels right.”
You smiled, feeling a rush of warmth fill your chest. “Yeah, me neither,” you said, your voice full of emotion. “I never knew love could feel like this.”
The three of you held each other close, the weight of the world outside no longer a concern. You had found your place together.
I LOVE RED CARD!!! I'm hoping it can became a mini series inside a series 🥰🥰🥰 Can you write a continuation to the 1st part where Jamie finds put what Rupert said or maybe he overhears something he said about the PA and his recation? Sorry, I know it's not very specific 😅
Drabble - Retaliation (Red Card)
Read RED CARD first to understand!
Masterlist
Jamie Tartt x fem! PA reader
TW: cursing, angry Jamie
A/N: Hiii I'm not really sure it has potential to become a mini series but I wrote the situation in which Jamie finds out what Rupert specifically said to Y/N and how he reacts. I hope you like it anyway. Time-wise it happens directly after Red Card.
Flashback to Red Card:
“Nah, nah, I’m just—” He shook his head, grinning. “You got sent off tryin’ to protect me.”
She rolled her eyes. “Don’t make it a thing.”
“Oh, it’s definitely a thing.” A really sexy thing. He stepped closer, lowering his voice. “Admit it. You care about me.”
...
She huffed. “Oh, trust me. Next time, I’m throwing a punch.”
Jamie grinned. “Now that, love, I’d pay to see.”
...
Jamie had never been more turned on in his life.
It was bad. Really bad.
He was supposed to be the reckless one, the hothead, the one who got in trouble for letting his emotions get the better of him. But Y/N? His PA? The one who always rolled her eyes at him when he got mouthy on the pitch, who reminded him to “think before he acts” at least once a week?
Yeah. She had just gotten a red card.
And not just any red card. She had squared up to Rupert Mannion, called him a disgusting, pathetic excuse for a man before getting ejected from the stadium.
Yup, they cleared it up, they talked it out, she cared about him. Jamie had talked to her in the locker room after the game and now it was time to go home. He was driving his little crazy assistant and they were walking to the parking lot.
“You,” he said, slow and deliberate, “are insane for that today.”
She groaned. “Jamie—”
“In a good way,” he clarified. “In a sexy way.”
She gaped at him. “That is not the point right now.”
“Yeah, well, I’m still processing,” Jamie said. “’Cause last I checked, I’m the one who does the dumb shit. Not you.”
Y/N huffed, dragging a hand through her hair. “It wasn’t dumb. It was warranted.”
Jamie narrowed his eyes. “What did he say anyway?”
She hesitated.
Jamie stepped closer. “What did he say, Y/N?”
Y/N exhaled, looking away. “Doesn’t matter.”
“It does.”
She shook her head. “Jamie—”
“Tell me.”
Her jaw clenched. Then, finally, she sighed. "He said: What’s Jamie got you doing these days? Fetching his water? Maybe warming his bed? Then he said something about our relationship being a little inappropriate and some misogynistic comments followed, then I lashed out..."
amie’s vision blurred with rage.
“Jamie—”
He was already turning.
“Jamie.”
Her hands grabbed his arm before he could storm back into the stadium. He whirled back to her, jaw tight.
“I’ll kill him.”
“You won’t.”
Jamie scoffed. “You think I won’t?”
“I know you won’t,” she shot back. “Because if you do, I’ll have to bail you out of jail, and I’ve had enough trouble for one night.”
Jamie clenched his fists. “He doesn’t get to talk about you like that.”
“I know,” she said. “That’s why I handled it.”
Jamie turned, looking down at her. “You shouldn’t have had to hear that,” he said, voice low. “Shouldn’t have had to deal with that.”
Jamie’s eyes flickered over her face, still hard with frustration.
She sighed. “Look, I appreciate the protectiveness, but you starting a fight with Rupert isn’t gonna change anything.”
Jamie tilted his head. “Yeah, but it’d make me feel a whole lot better.”
He exhaled again, calming himself. “You didn’t have to do that for me.”
Her gaze softened. “Yeah, I did.”
A beat.
Then Jamie smirked. “So… you called him a disgusting, pathetic excuse for a man?"
Her lips twitched. “Among other things.”
“Fuckin’ hell, love.” Jamie let out a low whistle. “I think I might be in love with you.”
Y/N rolled her eyes, but her cheeks flushed. “Shut up.”
Jamie grinned. “Nah, but seriously—next time, at least let me get in a punch first, yeah?”
She sighed. “You’re impossible. Let it go, Jamie.”
Jamie sighed too. "Fuck, I'll try, will you come home with me, maybe watch a movie and chill. I need some company right now..."
"Always."
Jamie didn’t let it go.
Of course, he didn’t.
Y/N knew him well enough to expect it—the moment Jamie Tartt got something stuck in his head, there was no talking him out of it. And apparently, Rupert Mannion being a misogynistic prick about her was something Jamie was more than willing to go to war over.
She caught him that evening, leaning on his kitchen counter, phone in hand, eyes narrowed at the screen.
“Jamie.”
He didn’t look up. “One sec.”
“No, not one sec,” she said, snatching the phone from his grasp before he could react. She glanced at the screen. He’d been typing—no, retyping—a text to someone.
“Who’s this to?” she asked, scrolling up.
“Don’t—” Jamie made a grab for it, but she dodged, stepping out of reach. “Oi! Give it back, you little thief—”
Her eyes scanned the unsent message.
From Jamie Tartt: If I ever hear you talk about her like that again, I swear to fuck—
She scrolled further.
Jamie Tartt: I don’t care how much money you’ve got, you’re still a sad little man
Jamie Tartt: Watch your fucking mouth, old man.
Y/N sighed, locking the screen and shoving the phone into her back pocket. “Jesus, Jamie.”
“What?” He threw his hands up. “Bloke’s a twat. He deserves it.”
“I know that,” she said, exasperated. “But sending him angry texts isn’t gonna do shit except make you look unhinged.”
Jamie scoffed. “Unhinged? I’ll show you unhinged, love. I was about ten seconds away from driving to West Ham’s training ground and dealing with him properly.”
She stared at him. “You mean fighting him?”
Jamie lifted a shoulder. “Not fight fight. Just… you know.” He made a vague punching motion. “Maybe a little slap. He’s old, innit? Wouldn’t take much.”
Y/N groaned, rubbing her temples. “You’re impossible.”
Jamie huffed. “I should’ve done something. Back when he said it. Should’ve knocked him on his arse right there.”
She looked up at him then, properly looked. Jamie wasn’t just pissed—he was guilty.
“Jamie,” she said, softer now. “You did do something. You supported me."
“Yeah, but I didn’t even know what he said.” His jaw tensed. “If I had—”
“You’d be serving a five-game, by now.” she finished.
Jamie exhaled sharply. “It weren’t even about football. He was just bein’ a prick, just tryna put you down ‘cause you’re—”
He cut himself off.
Y/N raised an eyebrow. “Because I’m what?”
Jamie swallowed. “Because you’re you.”
Something passed between them. Something unspoken but heavy.
Jamie shifted, glancing away, scuffing his boot against the floor. “Look, all I’m sayin’ is—if he ever talks about you like that again, I will do something about it. Don’t care if I get fined, don’t care if I get benched. Just so we’re clear.”
Y/N bit her lip. “You really would fight him, wouldn’t you?”
Jamie met her gaze. “Yeah.” His voice was quiet. “Yeah, I would. As far as we know you would too, love.”
Y/N didn’t know what to say to that.
So instead, she reached into her pocket, pulled out his phone, and handed it back.
“No more angry texts.”
Jamie sighed, stuffing the phone into his hoodie. “Fine.”
“Good.”
A beat.
Then Jamie smirked. “I’ll just send him a really sarcastic fruit basket instead.”
Y/N groaned. “Jamie.”
“Oi, that’s classy retaliation, that is.”
She rolled her eyes, but she was smiling. “Come on, dumbass. I’ll buy you dinner before you come up with any more terrible ideas.”
Jamie grinned. “You are my favorite, y’know that?”
“Yeah, yeah,” she muttered, shoving him playfully. “You better start behaving, or I might switch teams.”
Jamie’s smirk faltered for a split second.
Then, before she could register it, he was grabbing her wrist, tugging her just slightly closer, his voice dropping.
“Not funny, love.”
Y/N blinked.
Jamie held her gaze, a flicker of something serious in his expression. But before she could say anything, he let go, stepping back with an easy grin.
“Right,” he said, stretching. “What we havin’ for dinner?”
Y/N exhaled, pushing away whatever that moment was. “Anything except fruit baskets.”
Jamie chuckled. “Shame. Would’ve been a great fruit basket.”
As they walked out together, Y/N knew one thing for sure:
Rupert Mannion may have been a smug bastard—
But Jamie Tartt?
He was a dangerous one.
Paring: Aubrey Griffin x reader
POV: First-person
Fandom: UConn’s Women’s Basketball
Word Count: 1,300+
Summary: It’s Valentine’s Day, and Aubrey wants to make it extra special, scavenger hunt why not…
I woke up to the sound of my phone buzzing on the nightstand. I groggily rolled over and checked the time—7:00 AM. Perfect, an extra hour before my day would begin. But just as I was about to sink back into my warm blankets, I noticed a message from Aubrey.
Aubrey: Good morning, babe! Check your door when you get up 😉
I furrowed my brows, sitting up and instantly feeling a mix of confusion and excitement. What could she be up to this time?
After a few minutes of lying there, trying to decipher the message, I decided to get up. I pulled on a hoodie and shuffled to the door, half expecting to see a bouquet of flowers or maybe a little note. Instead, when I opened it, I found a small box wrapped in shiny red paper, a note taped to the top that read, “The hunt begins here. - A”
I stared at it for a moment, processing what this might mean. A scavenger hunt? On Valentine’s Day?
I grinned, already knowing this was going to be one for the books.
The first clue led me to the basketball court. I made my way there, feeling a little silly but excited all the same. The campus was still waking up, with just a few early risers out for morning jogs or heading to class. When I reached the court, there was another note attached to the bleachers.
“To the person who’s always my MVP… you know what to do next. - A”
It took me a second to figure it out, but then I remembered the secret spot Aubrey and I had when we were freshmen, just before we started dating. I rushed to the equipment shed by the court and found the next clue taped to the back wall.
I pulled it off, practically grinning from ear to ear, and read:
“You’re getting warmer. Go to where we first sat after that crazy game last year. - A”
I knew exactly where this was. It was a bench by the fountain, where we had sat for hours talking about everything and nothing after an intense game. It felt like no time had passed at all, even though the world around us had kept moving.
When I reached the fountain, there she was—Aubrey, leaning against the stone rim with that smile of hers.
“Looking for something?” she teased, her eyes twinkling with mischief.
“Aubrey!” I laughed, running up to her. “You had me running all over campus!”
She chuckled, standing up to pull me into a hug. “You love it. And you’re only halfway through, babe.”
I rolled my eyes but couldn’t stop smiling. “I can’t believe you got the whole team involved. I saw Sarah handing me a clue by the court.”
Aubrey laughed. “Yeah, I had a little help. KK’s probably waiting for you at the next spot.”
“Of course,” I grinned. “You really went all out this year, huh?”
She shrugged with a playful grin. “Anything for you. You know I’ll do anything to see that smile.”
“Well, I’m smiling, aren’t I?” I said, leaning in to steal a kiss. “Okay, okay, I’ll keep going. What’s next?”
Aubrey handed me a small piece of paper, and I read it aloud:
“Now, head to the place where we made the best memories after the UConn game. You’ll find something sweet waiting for you. - A”
I raised an eyebrow. “You didn’t…”
“Oh, I did,” she said, winking. “Go check the locker room. KK’s got a little surprise for you.”
By the time I reached the locker room, I was practically glowing with happiness. Aubrey had really outdone herself. I pushed open the door and found KK standing there, holding a small envelope.
“I’m assuming you’re looking for this?” she said, handing me the envelope.
I opened it to find another note, this one with the final clue:
“This is where we started it all. Meet me where we’ve laughed, cried, and everything in between. - A”
I didn’t need to think twice. Aubrey and I had spent countless nights binge-watching movies in our dorm, talking about everything and nothing, just being ourselves.
When I got back to the dorm, the door was ajar, and the warm smell of popcorn filled the air. I walked inside and saw the lights dimmed, with candles scattered around the room. On the bed, there was a blanket fort made with pillows and sheets, a giant bowl of popcorn in the center, and a stack of our favorite movies beside it.
Aubrey stood by the makeshift fort, smiling softly as she looked up at me.
“You did all this?” I asked, my voice filled with awe.
She nodded, her smile only growing. “I figured you’d want something cozy tonight. It’s Valentine’s Day, but we’ve got a game coming up, so I thought we could have our own little movie marathon instead of going out.”
I walked over to her, wrapping my arms around her waist. “This is the best surprise I’ve ever gotten.”
She chuckled. “I’m glad you like it. I wanted to make tonight perfect for you.”
I kissed her softly, pulling away just enough to rest my forehead against hers. “You don’t have to do all of this to make me happy, Aubrey. Just being with you is enough.”
Aubrey’s hand slid down to mine, intertwining our fingers. “I know, but it’s fun to spoil you sometimes. Plus, I love seeing you smile.”
We both climbed into the blanket fort, snuggling in together under the soft covers. Aubrey grabbed the remote, and the first movie started. We spent the next few hours laughing, eating popcorn, and enjoying each other’s company.
At some point during The Princess Bride, Aubrey turned to me, her expression soft. “I know we have a big game on the 16th, but tonight, it’s just you and me. No pressure, no distractions. I wanted to give you something that’s all ours.”
I squeezed her hand, a smile tugging at my lips. “This is everything, Aubrey. Thank you. I love you.”
“I love you too, babe. Happy Valentine’s Day.”
And for the rest of the night, all that mattered was the warmth of Aubrey’s embrace, the sound of our laughter, and the feeling that, for now, everything was perfect.
Title: The Number Game
Roman Reigns X Reader
It was a quiet evening in the Anoa’i household. The kids were asleep, the house was peaceful, and I was curled up on the couch beside Joe, lazily scrolling through my phone while he absentmindedly watched TV.
Then, for no apparent reason, a random thought popped into my head.
“Hey, babe?” I asked, turning to him.
Joe hummed in response, not taking his eyes off the screen.
“How many women have you slept with?”
That got his attention. His head snapped toward me so fast I thought he might’ve given himself whiplash. “What?”
I smirked. “You heard me.”
Joe blinked at me like I had just asked him to recite the Constitution backward. “Why the hell you asking me that?”
“I don’t know,” I shrugged, biting back a grin. “I was just curious.”
Joe scoffed. “Nah, see, that’s a setup. You tryna start something.”
I laughed. “No, I’m not! I swear. I just wanna know. So? What’s the number?”
He ran a hand down his face and muttered something under his breath.
“What was that?” I leaned in.
“Why does it matter?” he deflected, suddenly looking real interested in the TV.
“It doesn’t!” I said quickly. “I just wanna know what kinda numbers you were working with before you landed this—” I motioned to myself dramatically. “—top-tier wife right here.”
Joe side-eyed me. “You sure you ain’t gon’ get mad?”
I scoffed. “Please. You think I can’t handle it? Boy, I know you were out here in these streets before you met me.”
Joe exhaled heavily, leaning back into the couch. “Alright. Fine. The truth is…I don’t even know.”
My jaw dropped. “You lost count?!”
Joe held his hands up defensively. “Hold up! That ain’t what I said!”
“Joe!” I gasped, smacking his arm.
“Why you hittin’ me?!” he laughed, dodging the next slap.
“You really lost track?!” I accused, eyes wide.
“I mean…I wasn’t keepin’ a damn diary!” he argued, his deep laugh shaking his chest.
I dramatically placed a hand over my heart. “I cannot believe I married a former hoe.”
Joe burst out laughing. “Oh, so now I’m a hoe?”
“You said it yourself! You don’t even know the number, Joe!”
“Okay, okay,” he grinned, rubbing his jaw. “What if I just give you a ballpark estimate?”
I narrowed my eyes. “Go ahead. But if the number’s too high, I might just file for divorce tonight.”
Joe laughed again before schooling his expression into something more serious. He pretended to count on his fingers, muttering numbers under his breath like he was solving a damn equation.
Finally, he looked up at me. “Alright…I’d say…less than a hundred.”
I gasped so loud I swear I woke up the neighbors. “LESS THAN A HUNDRED?! JOE, THAT IS NOT REASSURING!”
Joe started wheezing. “Baby, chill! I meant waaaay less than a hundred!”
“But you ain’t say way at first!” I pointed an accusing finger at him. “Oh my God, I really married a hoe!”
Joe was laughing so hard at this point he had to wipe tears from his eyes. “You actin’ like I was out here on the damn Hoe Hall of Fame!”
“If they had one, you’d have a plaque!”
He threw his head back, still cracking up, before pulling me onto his lap. “C’mere, crazy woman.”
I huffed, folding my arms as I sat on his lap. “You nasty.”
Joe smirked, pressing a kiss to my shoulder. “Yeah? Well, clearly, you like nasty since you married me.”
I rolled my eyes. “Whatever. But if I find out your number is actually close to a hundred, I swear—”
Joe kissed my cheek to shut me up. “Relax, babe. It ain’t that high. You’re the only number that matters now anyway.”
I narrowed my eyes at him before sighing dramatically. “Fine. But just know if a woman ever comes up to me talking ’bout some Hey, girl! I used to mess with your man! I’m squaring up on sight.”
Joe laughed, holding me closer. “Damn, I love you.”
I smirked. “I know. Even if you was a hoe.”
Joe groaned while I laughed, and that was the end of our ridiculous little argument.
Quick question that no one will know. WHERE TF ARE THEY??
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/75cd0c366d76c4340625ab7894eb6205/91f0ef76b3a9855d-7e/s540x810/fcd138c9ef7a4baae99f59fab523faa172f15f36.jpg)
You can already see weapons. Theres also an arch, so maybe the mountain used to have a building???
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/2b787ce2abf637c5c314d2f2163ab2ed/91f0ef76b3a9855d-94/s540x810/5e6bebf25fc689c910be1efa70868b7af61fa86e.jpg)
I just want to know where it is and the lore 😭 why did Mac choose this mountain, whats the history behind it. Was it just because it was secluded? I can’t imagine it’s THAT far from the city because Mk would have been more cautious if so right?
(Yeah ill just go on a field trip with my new sketchy mentor to who knows where😄 thats not a terrible idea at all. Im the Monkie Kid)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/ae9babcf7622cdab411f0866bca07181/91f0ef76b3a9855d-09/s540x810/e31de0e158a3136c47fa4104c624b8ca822c31de.jpg)
Oh yay, dead people already, great signs. Also did Mac make them climb all those stairs? Man, he was really pushing Mk to his limit. Did he climb with Mk? Was it just awkward silence or was it a checkpoint thing like a video game 😭 just occasionally hes there again like (Great job just a little further 🙂)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/3d5dd155b1e401a5e5e60e4708f11240/91f0ef76b3a9855d-a4/s540x810/027723b9e01c634a12dfbdd72270eefb5973775c.jpg)
I NEED TO KNOW. What battle was happened here? Was it from the jttw, or just a random battle? Was it specific to Macaque or Wukong in anyway? Theres swords and spears littering the ground. And skeletons. It was definitely a battle ground. I believe we’ve only seen a few of these? So they’re might be clues in flashbacks?
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/d9ab44b2b5d613f365aff5254b478ab9/91f0ef76b3a9855d-21/s540x810/c70936f1dfb520189f742c5324e04d4764fbf215.jpg)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/2f2b01f79ef9b20f1992a5a582f4fd45/91f0ef76b3a9855d-92/s540x810/cc511b38545eb76e50d611ca1daec03ac8f5dd60.jpg)
Perhaps its Sandy’s or maybe Macaque’s? Both have spears in the ground. Though we don’t have many clues as to where the battles took place besides that Sandys flack back happened on a mountain but the place probably wasn’t a factor as it was triggered by the situation. And Macaques you can see a mountain range
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/75e3ff23337f93ea26edb229c6094e9b/91f0ef76b3a9855d-d1/s540x810/1bb4a6cb5accd4a8b985229d71638c85871ae112.jpg)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/3fb73caf1f6596679ea28435a58c0640/91f0ef76b3a9855d-f7/s540x810/5ed825131beb47864f0a01e055075da7ea86d14b.jpg)
I couldn’t really find anything that matches. However if this were the case and THE battle really happened on this mountain it’d be quite interesting, but would surprisingly give me a lot to work with to make a timeline.
For instance if either battles happened on that mountain then it would have had to of been after the main jttw, or after Sun Wukongs circlet was removed. As I believe it is closer to his mountain, or at least the city. Which he would not have been near during the journey westwards, as we know his island is in the east, near the Dragon of the East’s palace.
I think Wukong in lmk either continued the pilgrimage without the circlet or they wrote most of the scenes to take place after, like the Samadhi fire. As we can see the group is still together, and Tripiaka is still their master. But Wukong is NOT wearing the circlet, so this probably takes place after. So that means other chapters could have been rewritten to be after the main journey west, and the groups just stuck together? Or perhaps get back together to do errands for the celestial realm like in this scene with Nezha.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/3a694cde23ca8d17c6f7d404a6128f5a/91f0ef76b3a9855d-75/s540x810/51889803684129f16caf3a167c64dd060f8bb22b.jpg)
Its not a crazy assumption to think that Macaques defeat and possibly death took place after the main jttw or when Sun Wukong returned home as we see Dbks defeat/death also took place after. Perhaps Wukong was just tying up loose ends 😃
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/99a9c6c6c8e6db5054d7be4025eb9e3b/91f0ef76b3a9855d-f0/s540x810/1f82ec9c02e04847a34268343d3f0a6b5a820cac.jpg)
Oh I ran out of photo room but In Macaque’s flashback Wukong isn’t wearing the circlet there either.
Makes me wonder just how much of the journey to the west they altered in Lego Monkie Kid, was the Lady Bone Demon’s defeat even in the early chapters? Was Macaques death before or after hers? THERE IS SO MANY LORE QUESTIONS, That if I got the answers to them It would change even more of my inner timeline than you’d expect.
#lego monkie kid#six eared macaque#sun wukong#jttw sun wukong#lmk screenshots#questions#lore question#lmk macaque#liu er mihou#do you see it#am I crazy and over analyzing#perhaps#i should make more timeline idea post#there going to be a bit outrageous tbh#lmk#lmk mk
i would love to read abt a threesome in the bunny oscar verse… maybe max and charles get to him before he goes to carlos…!!
kink prompt list
me when i go insane and write almost 4k words for a tumblr prompt game….
anyway. here’s the bunny fix au where charles and max get to oscar before he goes to carlos (this is my first time writing a threesome so if the logistics are fucked. no they’re not. just go with it 😔) enjoy bunny oscar 🐰
—
Oscar stands at the edge of the room, arms crossed, glaring at Max and Charles perched on his hotel bed.
He takes a second to process.
First—he’s got fucking bunny ears on his head and a dumb little tail twitching above his ass.
Second—Max fucking Verstappen and Charles fucking Leclerc are staring at him like he’s the daily special and they haven’t eaten in weeks.
Alright.
He clears his throat. “Care to explain?” He pauses. Then, deadpan: “Please.”
Max answers, casual as anything. “We’re here to help.”
Charles nods, smiling.
Oscar squints, suspicion creeping in. “Why?”
Charles tilts his head, thoughtful. “Do you want the truth or the PG version?”
Oscar just scoffs, arms crossing tighter.
Max grins. “Oscar, you’re hot. And you’ve got bunny ears.” A shrug, like that should explain everything. “It’s cute.”
…Huh.
“You know Charles said your cat ears were cuter, right?” Oscar says.
And—holy shit. Max blushes.
What the hell.
“Not the point, Oscar,” Charles cuts in.
This is the dumbest situation of Oscar’s life.
Max moves. Grabs his wrist. Tugs him in with zero effort.
“Come on, baby.” Low voice. Too smooth. “Just yes or no.”
Easy. Yes or no.
Except it’s not easy.
Oscar stands there, heart in his throat. He’s never had a threesome before. And, look—he’s not stupid. He knows Max and Charles are hot. He’s not blind, and he’s definitely gay enough to notice.
It should be simple.
But then he thinks about what Lando said earlier.
What about Carlos? Lando had teased. You two could finally work out all that crazy sexual tension.
Would Carlos even want him like this? Would he pull Oscar close, kiss him slow, murmur Yes, Oscar, of course I’ll fuck the bunny ears off you against his skin?
Or—worse—would he laugh? Say something stupid that would leave Oscar crawling out of his own skin with secondhand embarrassment?
It’s too much. One fucking day with this curse and he’s already at his limit.
So he looks back at Max and Charles, their gazes heavy, waiting.
“…Yes,” he whispers.
Charles lights up, grinning so wide it should be illegal.
And then Max moves again. Closes the space. Slots their mouths together.
Oscar makes a soft noise—surprise, maybe.
It barely registers before Max deepens the kiss, the hand on his waist sliding up to grip his hip. Oscar moans into it, flushed hot with embarrassment when Max’s hold tightens, fingers pressing into skin.
A tongue slides between his lips, shameless, licking into his mouth like a man starved.
Oscar barely has time to process before Max pulls back, lips shiny, a thin string of spit connecting them.
“Bed, yes?” Max murmurs.
Oscar nods. Too fast. His brain is definitely short-circuiting.
Charles tugs him onto the bed, barely gives him a second to breathe before he’s straddling Charles’ lap, hands warm on his hips.
One slides up, fingers curling into Oscar’s hair, the other pressing low against his back, riding his shirt up as he leans in.
Charles kisses him. Really kisses him. Deep. Wet. Tongue and teeth.
Oscar just melts.
The tension in his shoulders dissolves as Charles sucks on his bottom lip, pulling a noise from him that he definitely didn’t mean to make.
Behind them, Max chuckles. “You look good like this.” His hands skim up Oscar’s sides, fingers pressing against the curve of his ribs.
Oscar shivers.
And then—hands.
Inside his sweats. Charles cups his ass, thumbs pressing right at the base of his stupid, twitching tail.
Oscar shudders, gasping into his mouth, hips grinding down before he can stop himself. Charles’ fingers trail over the fluffy base, and Oscar jerks—whimpers—rubs against him.
“So sensitive,” Charles murmurs against his lips, but Oscar can barely think past the needy little sounds slipping from his mouth, past the way his skin burns hot.
When they break apart, Oscar’s lips feel swollen, raw, already aching for more.
Max’s firm hands peel Oscar’s shirt off, toss it aside, drags him to lay down against the pillows.
Oscar’s chest heaves. His floppy ears twitch wildly. His tail probably gives him away entirely.
Max settles between his legs, fingers already at his waistband, and Oscar exhales—
Lifts his hips eagerly, lets Max pull his sweats down in one smooth motion.
And fuck—
He’s so hard. Already leaking. Already aching. His ears flatten for half a second, heat crawling up his neck.
Charles hums in approval beside them. Beaming.
Max shrugs off his shirt, and Oscar stares. Like, full-body frozen, pupils blown wide, mouth dry.
He wants to touch. Wants to bite. Wants—
The bed shifts. Charles moves in, propping himself up on one elbow, so close that Oscar can feel the heat of him, can smell his skin.
And, okay. Look. Oscar knows he looks good. But right now? Spread out, practically presenting for two of the most unfairly attractive men he’s ever met?
Yeah. His instincts are going haywire. He needs.
His thighs twitch, caught between spreading wider and rubbing together for any kind of friction—but Max catches his knee, presses it back down.
“Don’t hide,” Max murmurs.
Oscar shudders, a sharp, needy tremor running straight down his spine.
Charles hums, dragging his fingers up Oscar’s chest, teasing over his nipples.
“So pretty, mon lapin,” Charles whispers.
Heat floods Oscar’s face—hot, humiliating—but the words, the praise, only make his cock twitch, dripping against his tummy.
He bites his lip, tries to keep quiet, tries to breathe—
“Let us hear you, baby.” Max’s lips brush against his ear.
Then Max wraps a hand around his cock, strokes slow, and—
Oscar moans. High and needy, hips bucking wildly into Max’s fist.
Charles laughs, pressing kisses down his neck, nipping just enough to make him writhe.
Oscar’s brain is gone. His body knows what it wants, and it’s this.
“Please,” he gasps, barely aware of the word leaving his mouth. “Fuck, please—”
Charles tugs lightly at one of his floppy ears, then brushes a teasing stroke over the fur. Oscar whines, the sound breaking as Max drags his thumb over the head of his cock, smearing the precum around.
“Making a mess,” Max murmurs, pumping him slow.
Charles shifts, stripping down to his boxers before pressing in close again, bare skin against bare skin. Oscar moans, feeling Charles’ fingers skim over his belly, dipping low, almost brushing against Max’s hand.
Max grabs him behind the knee, pushing his leg up, spreading him wide.
“Charlie,” Max says, “hold our bunny open for me, baby.”
Charles sighs, but he’s eager, grabbing Oscar’s thigh and draping it over his waist. Oscar feels the hard line of Charles’ cock pressing against him, making his breath stutter.
“Shit,” Max swears, running a thumb around his dry hole, then swiping lower, pressing briefly against the base of his fluffy tail, smushed against the sheets. “So fucking hot, Oscar.”
Oscar whimpers, nerves sparking, body thrumming with need.
“Want us to fuck you?” Charles murmurs, lips brushing his ear.
Oscar doesn’t even need to think. He nods immediately.
Max hums. “Lube?”
Oscar barely manages a breathless, “Suitcase.” He points weakly toward the corner of the room.
Max pulls away instantly, leaving Oscar’s cock to drop against his belly pathetically. He makes a frustrated noise, pouting without thinking.
Charles laughs. “Poor bunny,” he coos, and before Oscar can complain, Charles wraps a hand around his cock, stroking him just as slow, just as teasing as Max had.
Oscar whimpers, hips jerking. “Don’t—”
Charles grins, kissing the corner of his mouth. “Don’t what?”
Oscar glowers. “Tease.”
Charles just laughs again, fingers tightening. “I won’t.”
Max is back in an instant, tossing the bottle of lube onto the mattress before leaning in, kissing Oscar again. At the same time, Charles picks up the pace of his hand.
Oscar whines into Max’s mouth. Jesus—he feels wrecked.
Four hands, two mouths—touching him, kissing him, pulling him apart piece by piece. Oscar is dizzy with it.
He’s so overwhelmed he can’t even think.
Max kisses him deep, tongue slipping past Oscar’s lips, swallowing every whimper. Charles is stroking his cock faster now, twisting his wrist just right, the way Oscar likes—and fuck, he’s—
His fingers clutch at Max’s shoulders, nails digging in as he whines, hips stuttering, body tensing all at once.
Charles chuckles against his jaw, breath warm. “That’s it,” he murmurs. “Come for us, bunny.”
Oscar does.
His body arches, a wrecked sob catching in his throat as he spills over Charles’ hand, pleasure crashing over him so intensely he can’t even focus, only aware of Max kissing him through it, of Charles stroking him through the aftershocks.
Oscar shudders, gasping against Max’s lips. His body feels boneless.
Charles hums, swiping his fingers through the mess on Oscar’s stomach with a smirk. “Cute.”
Oscar groans, already feeling the embarrassment creeping in, but Max just kisses him again softly.
He lays there, disassociating slightly, floating somewhere between bliss and disbelief as Max and Charles move around him.
It was just a handjob. A fucking handjob. Why does he feel like his soul just left his body?
But he doesn’t even have time to process it before there are hands on him again.
“Wait—” he starts, but Charles is already flipping him onto his stomach, pressing a warm hand to the small of his back to keep him in place.
Oscar tenses immediately. He knows what they’re looking at. He knows.
“Oh,” Charles hums, pleased. His fingers ghost over the base of Oscar’s tail, right where it meets his skin.
Oscar groans, shoving his face into the pillow. “Don’t laugh about it.”
Max is laughing, the bastard. “Don’t be embarrassed,” he teases, dragging a finger down Oscar’s spine. “It’s adorable.”
Then Charles’ fingers curl around the little fluff of his tail, giving it the tiniest tug—just testing, just playing—
And Oscar whimpers.
“Don’t do that,” Oscar breathes, muffled into the sheets.
Charles tilts his head. “Why? You don’t like it?” He leans in, pressing a soft kiss to Oscar’s shoulder blade.
Oscar doesn’t respond. He just shifts his hips back, trying to escape Charles’ hands, feeling overwhelmed.
But then—oh, fuck.
His movement presses him right into Max’s crotch. Ass to dick.
Oscar freezes.
What the fuck? When did Max lose his pants?
Slowly, Oscar turns his head—
Max is right there, naked, thick and hard and heavy against Oscar’s skin, looking entirely unbothered by the situation.
Oscar swallows. “Jesus.”
Charles giggles beside him, delighted. Oscar thinks he might actually die.
Even the drag of the sheets against his oversensitive cock is too much, but now there’s this—Max pressed up behind him, big and hard—and Oscar feels like he might just combust on the spot.
Charles kisses him again, slow and distracting, maybe to pull his focus away from the sound of Max uncapping the lube.
Oscar swears he hears Max mutter something like, “I have to do all the work,” before slick fingers slide up the curve of his ass, spreading the warmth over his skin.
Oscar moans, into Charles’ mouth. His body is thrumming, humming, aching with sensitivity, but it feels good—so good it’s almost unbearable.
Charles breaks the kiss first, lips pink and swollen, breathing a little uneven. “Oscar,” he starts, but Oscar doesn’t open his eyes, too caught up in the feeling of Max’s fingers teasing around his rim.
Charles makes a pleased little sound, then tugs lightly at Oscar’s floppy ears, making them twitch. “Bunny,” he coaxes, “look at me.”
Oscar barely manages to crack his eyes open. Charles is watching him, pupils blown, looking half-amused and half-starved, and Oscar doesn’t even get a chance to ask what he wants before Charles is leaning in close, murmuring against his lips—
“I want you to fuck me.”
He says it at the same time Max pushes a finger inside him, sinking in with zero resistance.
Oscar chokes on a breath, body jerking. “Christ—”
Charles just smirks, dragging his fingers over the tips of Oscar’s ears again, playful and teasing. “Is that a yes?” he murmurs.
Oscar nods, eager, desperate. “Fuck yes—”
Just as Max adds another finger.
Oscar gasps. His grip tightens on Charles’ waist, fingers pressing into soft skin before he fumbles clumsily at Charles’ boxers, trying to shove them down. Charles huffs a quiet laugh but lifts his hips to help.
And just like that—everyone’s naked.
Oscar barely has time to process it, the sheer absurdity of it.
His tail twitches again but he doesn’t notice, too caught up in the slow drag of Max’s fingers inside him, stretching him open.
Max notices, though.
And he fucking laughs, pressing a kiss to the back of Oscar’s neck.
Oscar would argue—he wants to—but then Max crooks his fingers just right, and any protest unravels into a sharp, punched-out breath.
He tries to focus, to be useful, to help Charles open up for him. It’s difficult when Max is knuckle-deep inside him, but Oscar doesn’t want to be selfish.
“Charles,” he murmurs, sliding a palm over Charles’ waist, pulling him closer. His hand trails lower, fingers dipping between Charles’ cheeks—
And he feels it.
Cool metal, smooth against his fingertips.
Oscar stills. Blinks.
“What the fuck,” he breathes.
Behind him, Max huffs a quiet laugh—watching, obviously—while Charles just smiles, biting his lip as he tugs playfully at Oscar’s floppy ear.
“Something wrong, bun?”
Oscar doesn’t answer. Can’t.
Max pulls his fingers out of him with a slick sound, and Oscar shudders, his round, fluffy tail still wagging—pathetically.
“He wanted to be prepared for you, Oscar.”
Charles hums, tilting his head. Then he lays back properly, spreading his legs, feet flat on the bed. His fingers hook around the plug, twisting once before pulling it out.
The stretch of it makes his mouth fall open, cheeks pink, breath catching as it slides free.
“Come on,” he murmurs.
Oscar makes a broken little noise. His cock twitches, leaking, his tail fluttering all excited.
Max’s hands are warm on his waist as they guide him forward, pressing him between Charles’ legs, close enough that Oscar can see—pink, slick, stretched just enough. Waiting for him.
“Go on, bunny,” Max purrs, breath hot against Oscar’s ear. “Be good for him.”
Oscar doesn’t need to be told twice.
He presses in, slow at first, just the head slipping inside—and fuck, Charles is tight, warm, soft.
Charles exhales, a breathy little oh, barely even a sound, but it shoots straight through Oscar, makes his thighs tremble as he pushes deeper, sinking into heat that wraps around him like a vice.
His breath stutters. His tail twitches, thumping against Max’s stomach where he’s still pressed up close behind him.
Max laughs, dragging his hands down Oscar’s sides, not helping.
“You feel that?” Max murmurs, fingers squeezing at Oscar’s hips. “So tight for you. He’s been waiting for this.”
Oscar groans, drops onto his elbows on either side of Charles’ head. His ears flop forward, stupid, falling into his face, brushing against Charles’ cheeks.
He growls, annoyed, shaking his head, but they won’t stay back—fuck, is this how girls feel when their hair gets in the way?
Charles giggles. “Let me hold them for you,” he whispers, reaching up, fingers curling around the base of Oscar’s ears, holding them back as he pulls him down for a kiss.
His fingertips brush through the fur, soft, barely-there, and Oscar shudders. His whole body tenses, a sharp, instinctive reaction that makes Charles gasp beneath him, makes his cock throb where he’s buried deep.
Max hums, knowing. “Sensitive there, aren’t you, bunny?”
Oscar makes a helpless, wrecked little sound. Max chuckles, dragging one hand up his waist, the other sliding lower, fingers pressing between his thighs, teasing his hole already so open and fucking wet with lube.
“Let’s see how long you last.”
Oscar barely has time to breathe before Max spreads him open, thumbs pressing into the soft give of his ass, exposing him as Oscar shudders.
Charles keeps kissing him, keeps nipping at his lips, holding him close. His cock leaks between them, smearing wet against Oscar’s stomach, and Oscar can feel the way he jumps horny.
Then Max presses in, forcing Oscar open around the thick stretch of it, and fuck—
Oscar yelps. His tail wags—pathetic—kicking uselessly against Max’s stomach as he sinks deeper, stretching Oscar wide.
It’s too much. Too full, too overwhelming, his body torn between the heat swallowing him up front and the impossible pressure behind.
Max bottoms out, buried to the hilt inside him.
But he doesn’t move.
Doesn’t fuck him.
Just stays there, cock thick and heavy in his ass, his hands firm on Oscar’s waist.
Oscar whines, twitching his hips, trying to move, but Max’s grip stays firm.
“Work for it, Oscar,” Max murmurs. His fingers press into Oscar’s waist, thumbs dragging possessive circles over the dip of his hips. “Make it good for us.”
Okay.
Oscar moves.
And fuck, it’s insane.
Every thrust has him caught between them.
Oscar just whimpers. He doesn’t know where to focus—
Max, thick inside him, stretching him deep, pressing against everything that makes his body sing. Or Charles, tight and slick around him, needy, clenching like he wants to pull Oscar deeper, hold him there, keep him.
Max groans behind him, fingers digging into his waist, guiding his movements, controlling the rhythm.
Charles tilts his head, lips brushing hot against Oscar’s throat right over the two tiny freckles there, breath ragged as he whispers, “Feels good?”
Oscar makes a sound, half a moan, half a whine, too overwhelmed to answer.
Max just laughs. “Look at him.”
Charles hums. “So pretty when he’s gone like this.” His lips trace up Oscar’s throat, pressing soft, almost affectionate kisses against the flushed skin. “Nothing going on in that bunny brain, huh?”
Oscar tries to glare, but Max snaps his hips forward, punching the air from his lungs and the moan that leaves his mouth betrays him.
“Yeah, that’s what I thought,” Charles breathes, tightening around him.
Max groans behind him, dragging his hands up Oscar’s ribs. “Think he even remembers his own name right now?”
Charles huffs out a quiet laugh, tilting his hips up. “Doubt it. Try asking him.”
Max’s grip tightens, his next thrust sharp enough to make Oscar keen. “Oscar,” Max murmurs. “What’s your name, baby?”
Oscar makes a wrecked noise. His brain isn’t fucking working, everything drowned out by the stretch, the heat, the feeling of being caught between them, used and ruined and owned.
“Shit,” Charles laughs, dragging his nails down Oscar’s back. “Nothing. All gone.”
Oscar hates them.
He loves them.
His thighs shake as he tries to move, but it’s too much. He can’t keep up.
“Aw,” Max coos, leaning in, pressing a kiss to the shell of his ear. “You need help, bunny? Want us to take care of you?”
Oscar whimpers, nodding fast.
Max grins, grips Oscar’s hips tight, and snaps into him, knocking a moan from his throat. The pace has Oscar’s body moving helplessly, his own cock grinding up into Charles, every thrust forcing his tiny little jerks into Charles’s body.
“Fuck—fuck, I’m close—” Charles gasps, suddenly high, and Oscar feels it when he clenches down around his cock.
Oscar whimpers because fuck, Charles is so pretty like this. His flushed cheeks, his damp curls, his mouth falling open in a soft, ruined little O—and then he’s coming, hot between them, making a mess of their stomachs, shaking as his hips stutter.
“Jesus—shit—” Oscar whines, body tensing, “me too, me too—”
Charles barely opens his eyes, still dazed, pupils blown as he presses their foreheads together. “Fuck, bun,” he whispers. “Inside me, yes? Want you to fill me up.”
Oscar breaks.
He comes with a whimper, pleasure ripping through him, his nose scrunching up, mouth open, bunny teeth peeking through.
Charles kisses him through it, licking into his mouth, swallowing every little sound, his hole milking Oscar’s cock as he fills him up.
“Fuck,” Max growls behind them, his pace turning sloppy, even harder, dragging out Oscar’s over-sensitivity with every deep, wet thrust. Oscar whimpers, so overstimulated he can barely breathe.
“Gonna cum,” Max mutters.
Oscar just nods, too gone to do anything else—just lets Max spill inside him.
—
Oscar is wrecked. Properly, thoroughly, blissed-out wrecked.
He hopes it worked, hopes the curse is fucked off for good, because he’s tucked against Charles’ chest like a very satisfied, very well-used plush toy. His ears twitch sleepily, tail flicking lazily, no longer the frantic thing it was before.
Max is watching it with way too much interest.
“It’s still moving,” Max murmurs, reaching out to press a finger into the soft fluff of it.
Oscar groans, barely lifting his head. “Stop.”
Max, predictably, does not stop. He taps it again, grinning when it twitches. “I think it likes me.”
Charles snorts, arms locked around Oscar like a weighted blanket, fingers scratching lightly at Oscar’s scalp. “Doubt it. Bunny’s just too blissed out to fight back.”
Oscar makes a noise, part whine, part groan. “I hate both of you.”
Max taps his tail again, watching it twitch, fascinated. “Do you, though?”
“Yes,” Oscar grumbles. But he’s too warm, too sated, too heavy with post-fuck satisfaction to put any real venom behind it.
Charles hums, pressing a lazy kiss to Oscar’s forehead. “Bunny’s lying. He loves us.”
Oscar pointedly does not answer.
His tail flicks again, slow and sleepy.
Max grins. “Guess that’s a thank you.”
His PTSD (Kang Dae-ho x Female!reader)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/18f6e6504697355481a0380730bf80d7/536266cbd2b244dd-8c/s540x810/baa4bb6b5d13a4074b8cecbd3bbea2eeb27e2e8f.jpg)
Warnings: PTSD
Y/N’s POV
Here we sit, on our sides that are separated by a blue circle and red x. Gi-hun and a few of the other players went off to capture the ringleader of these games. Wonder if they will actually pull it off?
“You're nervous for player 388 huh?” Yong-sik asks and I nod.
“I’m nervous for all of them, what if this doesn’t work Yong-sik?” I ask, and he looks at me sympathetically.
“That’s a valid question, let’s just hope it does work so we can all go home,” He says and I nod. I glance over at player 100, an old man who has been questioning Gi-hun since red light green light. I sigh, just wanting him to leave….all of those people with the blue circle to leave. But that means that they’ll be dead.
“Dae-ho looked nervous already when he left,” I say and he nods.
“They all did Y/N,” He says. Just as we continue to talk, I notice Dae-ho running in mumbling to himself. It looks like he is looking for something. Yong-sik walks over to him as well as I.
“We need the magazines…they’re in the pockets of the guards..” Dae-ho explains to the two of us and we help him gather the magazines. My hands shake as I walk over to the dead body of a guard. I’m still not used to seeing dead bodies…I don’t think I ever will. I manage to get a few magazines and walk over to Dae-ho placing it on the jacket. He stands up and gives us a nod, as I can see his body trembling. My heart aches for him and I wanna say something to him.
“Dae-ho,” I call out to him. He stops and turns around to face me. I walk over to him and give him a slight hug, the jacket with the magazines blocking our bodies from actually touching each other.
“Be careful…” I whisper and he nods, wrapping his arm around my waist.
“I will Y/N…” He says, placing a kiss on my temple before leaving again. I watch him walk and make my way back to my bed, my head racing with thoughts. Not even two minutes later, I see him running back in. He briefly talked to me about his PTSD the other night when we both couldn’t sleep.
Dae-ho’s POV
I can’t….I can’t….I can’t…. Those words echo in my head as I bring my legs to my chest, my PTSD is making me crazy. I bury my face in my knees as my body trembles.
I failed….I failed….I failed…I–
“Dae-ho?” I hear a voice say. I look up and see Y/N looking at me. My voice shakes as I try to speak as she approaches me slowly.
“I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sor–” I keep repeating and she sits across from me.
“Shhh shhh Dae-ho it’s ok..” She says and I shake my head as tears fill up in my eyes.
“I failed….Y/N I failed…” I say
“”They never got the magazines did they?” She asks and I shake my head. I cover my head with my hands, ashamed to even look at her.
I failed them….I failed them….
I don't believe this is the full OST, certain songs such as the fanfare after a hamz cup are not present. However there are 16 tracks, numbered but missing proper labeling, for the sake of it, here is where each song is used(as far as i am aware):
if you know when and where these songs are used, let me know!
Track 1 - Title Screen
Track 2 - Pet Shop
Track 3 - School
Track 4 - Home (Morning)
Track 5 - Home (Afternoon)
Track 6 - Home (Night)
Track 7 - Hamz Cup (100m dash, 10m dash, Eating contest, Monkey Bars)
Track 10 - Versus
Track 11 - Album Mode
Track 12 - Incorrect Descision*
Track 13 - Richard's Theme
Track 16 - Hamz Cup (Pole Climb, Frog Jump,
*track 12: I have only heard this song once, in a scene where Suzy beats you up. Fitting title?
*track 15: I had put this post in my queue and was fully expecting to not really find out the origin of this song for ages, but i did some skimming of TheBreadGhost's longplay and IT WAS THERE, I also have, NO idea what's going on the the scene(and neither does BreadGhost, clearly.) The day I get this scene for myself and grab the screenshots for it is going to be very special hghgh.
I cant imagine new people joining the fandom now that tsc is out and imagine people being able to read all five aftg books at the same time??? They will never get the feeling of finishing the third book and thinking it’s the final final and then discovering there’s the EC (that doesn’t exist anymore rip) and then Nora disappearing for years and suddenly back with news of a new book of a couple that was so good the author came back to make them canon and then us just waiting for news and everything and I’m so glad to be here when history was made and to experience everything I wouldn’t have it any other way
#sad I missed the period where Nora was answering asks on aftg when the EC is first created but glad I was here before it was destroyed#but I love how I got to explore the fandom and fanfics and everything before tsc because now everything is crazy and I’ve never seen so#many new content and stuff and I feel like a veteran going back to war#like I cant imagine a world where I only discover aftg after tsc like that’s crazy#imagine knowing Jean is going to be alive imagine knowing the ending to tkm that’s crazy#just so glad I was here for a few years before tsc#and I’ll never forget all the good fanfics I read that’s now removed like#anyways#aftg#all for the game#tfc#the foxhole court#aftg series#aftg fandom#aftg incorrect quotes#andrew minyard#neil josten#andrew joseph minyard#tsc and aftg supremacy#tsc#the sunshine court
there is some symbolism iv never considered in that one episod of pt5 where zenigata rescues fujiko before she kills lupin
#there are many timelines and variations in lupin as a serie so that every ship could work#in my own prefered timeline lupin finally gets the hint that fujiko plays him like a fiddle#to me she does like him but he is an instrument to her#she is cold hearted and calculating and always thinking about relationships in terms of profit#i got some ideas abt her background that justify this. essentially she kills the detective that is after her and with that kills#the soft part of her that she couldnt control before#eventually and despite his affection lupin gives up the objectifications and the desires he projects onto fujiko#whom uses his delusions like a master tbh#thus allowing himself to consider zenigata. he plays with zenigata the way fujiko plays with him#hes just not as calculating. he feels pity and remorse where fujiko doesnt#he finds the thrills and the doubts and the lack of trust and the risk of betrayal in zenigata. the things that he loves the most#he isnt about stability. he thrives in the unknown. he loves that zenigata could backstab him and does so sometimes#and in that lack of stabilty some form of stability builds up. there is familiarity#and most importantly there are rare times when they can put the game aside and just chill#just enough to gather the energy to go back to trying to kill each other#plus zenigata pampers him during those breaks and he loves that#he acts with carelessness but he does care. in that regard he looses to fujiko#at least thats how she sees it. he doesnt see caring as a flaw#and zenigata is so sweet. he really is. and lupin loves to stirr up the crazy in him#fucking loonies the both of them#so in essence zenigata doesnt really 'save' him from fujiko but he becomes lupins new favourite toy to throw around#fujiko is only upset that because of that ugly looser of a detective her grip on lupin is loosening#she does find ways to use that newly developed affection luzeni has to her advantage thou#lupin is still her instrument she just drags zenigata along now#fujiko is such a good and interesting character and deserves so much better honestly#despite my love for TWCFM i wish there was another serie centralized around her where her ruthlessness is examined#and her cunning is studied. and the proper law enforcement she should face the same way lupin does#shes like a million times smarter and more ressourceful than him. steals much more. embezzles. manipulate#lupin is just a small time pickpocket next to her. she isnt about stealing a painting shes about emptying the pockets of the richest men in#the world. her goals are much more ambitious
