I hate parasocial relationships and I hate that I’m in one. I’ve been watching Richard Hammond’s work a lot for nearly three years, and Izzy Hammond’s and I loved when Mindy and Willow appeared on Richard Hammond’s workshop.

Then today on Twitter he announces the end of his marriage, that he and Mindy are getting divorced and I don’t know why but I’m devastated. I have no right to be. I do not know these people, they do not have the slightest inkling that I exist, not should they, but since reading his book “On The Edge” I’ve been so invested in them as a couple that I saw his announcement on Twitter and I burst into tears.

He has asked for privacy and I will of course respect that, but I do want them all to be well and happy, and I know that it’s nearly impossible to be both over the course of a breakdown of a relationship and my heart breaks for the entire family.

There is a divorced couple I know, who live separately, but they still see each other socially a few times a week, they’ll occasionally do Christmas together if one of their adult children is hosting. And it’s absolutely none of my business, but I think Richard and Mindy Hammond are both incredible people who have been through a lot together and I really hope they can have that kind of relationship, not one filled with animosity and resentment.

On one level this announcement makes me lose my faith in love and relationships entirely which is completely stupid. I hate myself for having this reaction and I hate myself that a stranger’s marriage breaking down has this sort of effect on me, but I’d never really become emotionally invested or followed a celebrity in this way before and the strength of my emotional response to the announcement was both shocking and deeply embarrassing.

Is seeing Izzy following in her father's footsteps and she's a bloody natural. I wouldn't be surprised she'd be driving her father's Impreza in the vast plains of Africa or in the deserts somewhere just talking about the three idiots' greatest roadtrip adventures in the near future. I mean she's customizing her own car for the first time. Reminds me of Hammond doing it in his prime.

102 GENDER UNRESTRICTED DILF ELIMINATION!!!

narrowing the dilfs down to a somewhat workable bracket was, by far, the one of the most nerve-rackings things we've ever done. it has kept us up for nights. bickering in the mods video call over this has ripped this family to shreds. the bracket was longer, shorter, and longer again as we pulled dilfs from the abyss to set them down into the arena. absolutely gutted that we couldn't include everybody, but if your dilf isn't on the main bracket, do not fear. we will not leave a dilf out in the cold to die without honor. they will have their moment.

the dilfs were ranked and seeded based on a very intricate rubric and vibes that included number of nominations so if you see a heavy hitter in a lower bracket than you'd expect, you've nobody but your fellow man to blame.

the first round of dilf death match arena contenders are below the cut. we'll work our way down the bracket with new polls roughly every day. first round seeds like hannibal and bob belcher get a bye week, due to their incredible energy catapulting them into top seed contention, and will not appear until round 2.

There are bit of points that I disagree with Richard (and to less degree, James) but I suppose their position came from ignorance which is something they admit. I like Izzy's point.

But I do agree on how you have to conform in your 20's.

There’s an episode of Who We Are Now, which is the podcast Richard and Izzy Hammond host that focuses on ADHD, and in it Richard talks about going for a private ADHD diagnosis, and while he was in the borderline category, he didn’t meet the criteria.
