Have any Dick & Tim fic recs for us poor unfortunate souls? Weâre hungry for brotherisms
I feel you anon, there can never be too many Dick & Tim brotherism fics! đ I had a great time wading through my bookmarks to pull some recs (and inevitably lose a bunch of time re-reading things lol), so thanks for the ask!
so I've organized the below first by general time period, then categories like Canon Divergence and Alternate Universe. I've also limited myself to fics that have a clear focus on Dick & Tim as the primary relationship (although some of them include other characters or ensembles).
Hope that you find something new that you enjoy, friend!!
A Thousand Ninjas, by @silverwhittlingknife (100k WIP series) - Silver's fantastic epic that covers the span of Dick and Tim's relationship in preboot canon. Some of the individual works are WIP, others are complete - just read them all, okay, you will not regret
Dick and Tim, through the years: from Lonely Place of Dying, through Tim's Robin years, and beyond Red Robin. "Watch me on the trapeze, Tim. I'm going to do my act - 'specially for you." (B 441) "Who the hell are you?" (NT 60) "Dick Grayson is my brother. My best friend." (R 181) "You're my equal. My closest ally." (RR 1) "I can't see him. You can't see him. But I know Robin. And Robin's always there when you need him." (TT/O Secret Files) "You're my brother. You'll always be there for me." (RR 12) "And then I think... no... it's for Tim. For him, a thousand ninjas is just the start of what I would do." (N 138)
EARLY ROBIN TIM
Brothers Have the Worst Timing, by @havendance (1k) - god I love Tim just popping up randomly to be the most annoying little brother ever, and frankly there's no better time for it than during Nightwing/Huntress, when he can bother both Dick and Helena at once.
Tim crashes Dick and Helenaâs ill-advised one-night stand; this is awkward for everyone involved.
A Long Fall with a Sudden Stop, by @eggmacguffin (5.1k) - Interesting and appropriately awful take on fear toxin, with a relatively young Robin!Tim having to manage an incapacitated Dick. Also good Dick & Bruce content.
Dick Grayson was not and never has been afraid of heights. However, there were moments, moments in the wake of tragedy, in the midst of doubt, where he was deathly afraid of falling. â Dick Grayson. Fear Toxin.
Little Brothers and Stupid Ideas, by lazarusfell / @gretahayes (2k) - Tim breaking into Dick's apartment to be a neurotic little dork at him, my beloved.
Dick doesn't think he'll ever get used to his little brother's idiosyncrasies. It's like whenever he thinks the kid can't get any weirder, he decides to just blow Dick out of the water with some new abnormality. It's endearing.
LATE ROBIN TIM
lifeline, by me c: (~700) - just a ficlet, but I'm still fond of it, so. set nebulously post-Infinite Crisis, after both brothers' Really Bad Year.
At a low moment, Dick thinks he needs to catch Tim, and he just - can't. Tim catches him instead.
a soft place to land, by unchosenone / @bitimdrake (3k) - set during the OYL cruise around the world; gorgeous brotherly feels and support and absolutely adopted as personal canon.
Tim rubs the back of his head, trying to affect a joking tone. âI knew I shouldâve just gone for the new escrima sticks.â Dick is ready to be a good big brother to his grieving little bro. Tim flips the script.
ribbons just beyond the eye, by silverwhittlingknife (5.9k) - you know how Dick and Tim had their island adventure in NW #143, and afterward they had to swim out several miles to where they parked the Batsub because the remote stopped working, and Dick talked about making a pit stop in Palermo to visit a "great little Italian restaurant that serves a great ciambellone for dessert"? Well, this is what happens when they do, and it's lovely.
Two weeks after their fight over the Lazarus Pits, Dick and Tim go on a trip, and Dick confronts some old memories.
RED ROBIN / BATMAN REBORN (Dick!Bats) ERA
Brothers, by KelpieCodyne (8.5k) - a refreshing and measured look at the divisive events of Red Robin, from Dickâs perspective. bashes no one, hurray!
Bruce is dead, Dick is Batman, and his brother is floundering. In a desperate attempt to save Tim from himself, Dick tries some tough love. It does not go the way he hopes. Or - Red Robin's 'BruceQuest' through the eyes of Dick Grayson.
We've Taken Different Paths, Traveled Different Roads, by Sohotthateveryonedied (2.3k) - brothers đ„ș even in the middle of their Brucequest fight, Tim can show up out of nowhere for a middle-of-the-night pajama party and heartfelt talk.
Dick is suddenly very awake. He bolts upright, staring at the dimly lit figure. âTim?â âHi, Dick,â Tim whispers. He isnât in uniform for once, instead wearing a pair of sweats and a shirt that Dick recognizes as one of Bruceâs. Dick was wondering where that went. âJesus, kid,â Dick exhales, an uncertain mixture of disbelief and bafflement. âWhat are you doing here?â Tim and Dick are still in a fight of sorts, or are they? Have they made up yet, or is the terrain still cracked? Dick wants so badly to ask, but just having Tim in the same room as him is already more than Dick could have hoped heâd get.
a conversation at 4:30am, by xscintillate / @scintillyyy (4.6k) - Dick having a nightmare that Tim is dead and checking all of his regular napping spots with increasing paranoia to prove that he's alive, my beloved. such a great look at the brothers, suffused with all of the love they still share post-Brucequest.
dick & tim, post RR#12 because sometimes having a conversation might end up going nowhere, especially if it's one you're not ready for, but it's enough for now
the best of both of us, by @ashynarr (7k) - a lovely pair of conversations between Tim and Dick, working through their conflict in RR and reconnecting after everything.
They used to have a routine, involving shitty take-out, shitty movies, and a bit of shit-talking. Dick wants to restart it, after everything. Tim's not sure if it's that easy. Or: After Harkness' arrest, Dick and Tim have a heart-to-heart. It helps, a little.
there's an endless road to rediscover, by @zahri-melitor (1.2k) - post-RR fic where Dick and Tim skip right to affectionate violence as a gesture of reconciliation, which is so delightfully in-character, tbh.
Sometimes the only way to show that you've moved on and forgiven each other is to take a flying tackle from the ceiling. Dick and Tim know each other's demonstrations of affection. Damian doesn't.
When it Rains, by vellaphoria (5.8k) - an exploration of Tim and Dick's (most recent) experiences with sexual assault, so warnings for past rape. really excellent.
After Cass and Tim return from Paris, something seems... wrong. Dick tries to find out what it is.
nightwing and red robin hit the town (or do they?) by xscintillate / scintillyyy (7.2k) - hilarious reversal of the "Tim is sad Dick never has time to hang out with him because Eldest Daughter Syndrome" trope.
Dick just wants to hang out with Tim on patrol, like old times. It's a shame that everyone else seems to have the same idea. It's fine. Dick'll get him next time.
POST-FLASHPOINT / MODERN ERA
so won't you stay, won't you stay (with me?), by dizarys / @dizaryswrites (1.4k) - beware the ANGST, this one really stomped on my heart đ but it's lovely
Dick seized his hands, holding tight. A long moment of silence passed. Tim kept time with Dickâs breathing as it steadily returned to an even pattern. "I'm proud of you for asking for help." His big brother whispered. "But I haven't." "I dunno, TimTam. Breaking into my apartment seems like a cry for help." Tim's having a hard night. So where else does he go but to his big brother's apartment? Whumptober Day 12
go past where our feet could touch, by redboard (Ink) / @upswings (1.5k) - this is such a lovely fic about the brothers having feelings about their long-gone mothers, and Dick seeing himself in Tim and processing things in his own life by being there for him (without sharing his own issues, at least that we see, lol). perfect characterization.
Today Tim was calmer, almost cheerful â as if it was any other Saturday afternoon. But it had also not escaped Dick's notice that Tim had gone on a universe-hopping trip to rescue Bruce, and one of the first things he'd done upon returning was, apparently, unbox a lot of photos of his dead parents. "How was the multiverse?" Dick asked.
WE'RE NOT DEAD (WE WALK)., by orpheusaki / @damianbugs (4.9k) - fantastic whumptober fic. the boys go through it, by god.
Dick is overwhelmed for a moment, filled with clarity and inexplicable confusion as he blinks around him bleary-eyed. There's the familiar itching covering his skin, tiny grains of dark sand invading the cuts that have torn through his suit from the crash. He coughs, throat dry and closing with every gasp of harsh air. The desert is as unforgivable as the last time he was here, an empty expanse of dunes that might just be a trick of the heavy sun against the back of his neck. Dick pushes the panic away behind his eyelids, savoring the darkness before opening his eyes again. Immediately, he sees Tim. Unconscious, hunched over, covered in blood and sand Tim. (Dick and Tim get stranded in the desert, Dick is always moving forward.)
CANON DIVERGENCE
long distance, by unchosenone / bitimdrake (1.7k) - A Red Robin era AU where Bruce is actually dead.
Six monthsâmonthsâradio silence, and Tim is calling him. Dick doesnât even know where Tim is. He scrambles for the phone.
Holding the Line, by Birdchild / @birdchildsnest (6.6k) - part 2 of the series and the first part is just as good, but more focused on the Dick&Tim&Damian relationship as a whole. In this, Dick is plagued with nightmares about the people he loves falling, and struggles through the resultant insomnia.
"Dick was used to anxiety dreams, even (or especially) ones about falling and failing to catch people. They werenât pleasant, but he understood that they were his brainâs way of working through buried fears. The garbage disposal of his subconscious. But these dreams were more like the hyper-vivid nightmares and thrashing night terrors heâd had after his parentsâ deaths. And they were constant. Every time he closed his eyes. He didnât just feel rattled when he woke up; he felt flayed open." Â (This will make more sense if you've read "Redrawing the Lines," but it takes place before "Season of Darkness, Season of Light," so you don't need to have read that.)
now the little red lighthouse knew that it was needed, by xscintillate / scintillyyy (22k) - beloved Tim never becomes Robin but shows up in Dick's life and becomes his brother anyway fic of my HEART
"Kid," he says, frustration bleeding through, "I don't know who you think I am, but I can promise you, I don't know anything about any companies. You might want to call the police about this, instead." "No, that's just it," the kid says, "I can't trust the police. I think they're in on it. I think I might get arrested soon. I needâI think I need Nightwing's help." in an alternate universe where jason survives ethiopia--dick and tim still find each other.
this also has a WIP sequel, so the little red lighthouse tried to shine once more, which is equally excellent
well, what would you do if you went back in time?, by xscintillate / scintillyyy (3.5k) - yeah, in retrospect Tim's smug know-it-all tendencies would become exponentially worse if he traveled back in time and actually knew everything, lol. of course he takes the opportunity to be a Pest to both Dick and Bruce c:
tim goes back in time, and prevents certain things--but still makes his appointment at the circus with dick and is kind of a menace (aka: snippets from an au where tim goes back in time and makes it so he doesn't become robin...but he's still just having fun going around and preventing everything he can think of regardless and making sure to bother dick)
the time you won your town the race, by silverwhittlingknife (4.4k) - technically WIP, but absolutely works as a (DEVASTATING) oneshot. It's been well over a year and I still have not recovered tbh.
He doesnât know exactly what Tim would say. But he knows what Tim would do. Tim dies. Dick doesnât take death for an answer. A Red Robin 12 AU.
the picture frames have changed and so has your name, by zahri-melitor (24k) - a fix-it it fic for Grant Morrison's 2009 Batman and Robin comic run, which infamously has Dick more-or-less forget that he's supposed to have a close relationship with this alleged "Tim Drake" guy. (Little brother who?)
So, in this fic, Dick literally forgets. Tim notices, and investigates. Also wonderfully highlights Tim's relationships with Helena, Barbara, and the Birds of Prey, and sometimes with Damian.
Thereâs something wrong with Dick. Tim thought everything was getting back to normal. Bruce was alive and back in their timeline, the Birds of Prey were once again operating out of Gotham, Dick had the city well under control as Batman and even Damian had been less obnoxious than usual. And then during a firefight at a warehouse by the docks, Tim was almost hit by a flying boomerang. And Dick never noticed. When something is wrong with your big brother, who else do you turn to but your big sisters?
Dizzy Edges, by Jojo_Squires / @jojosquires (156k WIP)
A Tim-time-travels-and-interferes-to-make-his-family's-lives-better fic which includes the whole Batfam, but is definitely centered on Dick&Tim and the weird itching dissatisfaction of their missing close relationship from the original timeline - which neither of them can even remember that they're supposed to have.
I leap on my email notifs and stuff new chapters in my mouth as soon as they come out.
Tim Drake didn't quite know what he was agreeing to four years ago, but he tried to make the best of it! Using notes from his past (future?) self, he (somewhat messily) tried to help everyone his other self cared for. Now, it's four years later and he can mostly ignore the second set of memories lying in the back of his brain. It'd be much easier if Dick Grayson would just leave him alone. If Tim believed in destiny he might actually think that the universe cared about what was lost. Dick Grayson has spent the last year feeling like he's veered off course. Something keeps itching at the back of his brain. He's missed some clue. Helena Bertinelli's promised to help him crack down on human trafficking, but Dick thinks her foster kid might actually be more help in that department.
First Priority, by avaya29 / @avayarising (6.8k) - okay so Jason does feature prominently in this one but also he's a hilarious outside observer to Dick&Tim's shenanigans. Also, GLUE TRAP.
As the door opened Tim quickly disabled another three separate electronic sensors in the doorjamb by swiping them with a device that looked a bit like a thumb drive. âWalk where I walk,â he said. He took a big step over the doormat, eyed the floor carefully, then took a careful skipped sidestep to another mat against the right-hand wall, where he removed his shoes. âWhat the hell?â whispered Jason, still standing in the open doorway. Tim pointed up. There was a net rigged up on the ceiling. âPressure pads under the carpet.â âI repeat, what the hell? After Tim completely derails Jason's beatdown attempt by asking him for a hug, Jason's first priority is to get this touch-starved kid more cuddles. Tim's first priority is to avoid DIck's traps. Jason learns a lot about his brothers and what happened while he was away, and something about himself too.
ALTERNATE UNIVERSE
Patchwork Siblings, by Raberba_girl (40k) - fluff and whump and we also get both Talon!Dick and regular!Dick being big brothers, which is delightful.
Years ago, young Dick Grayson was taken by the Court of Owls and made into a Talon. When Talon is flung into an alternate universe where Dick Grayson was taken in by Bruce Wayne instead, he latches onto the first familiar person he sees. (Or: Little Bat-stalker Tim Drake is understandably alarmed to find that an undead assassin has imprinted on him.)
5+1 Night's at Freddy's, by cowboymater (6.6k WIP) - okay so this is only the first chapter of an expected six, but it's already a wildly interesting and entertaining scenario with great characterization. my kingdom for 5000 AUs where young Dick and Tim are thrown together into Trials and Tribulations out of nowhere for their brotherly meet-cute.
The 5 nights Tim spent at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza with Robin and the 1 he spent with Batman, OR, this would be the coolest thing that happened to him ever if the animatronics were trying to kill them less, OR, the "Batman meets Freddy Fazbear" fic I found hidden under a loose floorboard in Tim Drake's childhood bedroom.
darling boy, by deitybird (335k) - Fuzzy and funny de-aged!Tim shenanigans, with Dick as his primary caretaker but the whole Batfam getting involved. Author pulls what plot, character, and relationship points they like and want to explore from varied canon (post-Crisis, New 52, Rebirth, Infinite Frontier, Batman the Animated Series, etc.) and fanon to build out that 335k of story, and it's a very fun time. Toddler Tim is such a gremlin â„
His comm crackles to life. âRRâs suit is in a pile on the floor,â Jason says, voice grim. âBut no sign of him. Something bad mustâve happened if he ditched it all.â âI wouldnât say itâs bad, per se,â Dick replies, gazing down at the kid nestled against his chest. Now that heâs looking properly, he can see hints of his little brother in those small features. âBut at least I can confidently say that heâs not dead.â Or: Tim gets de-aged to four. Dick takes care of him.
Under a Parentâs Wing, by IzzyMRDB. (39k) - YMMV on whether this will be your cup of tea, as this is an AU where Dick comes into a parental rather than brotherly role for a younger, AU!Tim, who is also autistic and abused. But itâs also delightful, heartfelt, and a thoughtful exploration of the complicated, difficult situation as given.
Also I would, no lie, read hundreds of fics based on the premise of kid!Tim discovering that THE Dick Grayson (aka THE ORIGINAL ROBIN) is coaching gymnastics classes and using his sneaky determined ways to finagle himself into said classes.
When Tim found out that Dick Grayson was a gymnastics instructor in Bludhaven, he quickly signed up. After all, learning gymnastics from The Nightwing himself is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Dick Grayson is more concerned at the obvious signs of child abuse he sees in one of his students. AKA Dick Grayson, as a childcare worker, is a mandated reporter who knows how to recognize child abuse in his students. Tim Drake, after a lifetime of fear and confusion, learns to trust adults.

One For The Road - Heart Shaped Series
Chapter Summary: Wanda's first mission as an Avenger was also marked by the first time she met you.
Warnings: typical canon violence, fluff and Avengers working together but nothing major | Words: 2.501k
A/N-> This is an extra chapter (can be read separately and doesn't impact the current plot of the fic). It's just about delving a little deeper into what happened before the main story and I plan three of them in total (the other two will be their first kiss and their first time). Good reading!

-&-
Before.
They were there to observe. After all, what criminal in their right mind would let the Avengers attend an event where half the guests were wanted by Shield?
But even on the outside, and accompanied by Barton, Steve and Natasha who were basically the most protective members over her, Wanda was nervous.
It was her first official Avengers mission. Not only that, but she had what they called a perfect disguise consisting of an old American football team cap and sunglasses, and Wanda was having a hard time thinking that it would work. Maybe so, because she had only appeared a few times on television, and wasn't exactly the most popular Avenger among them.Â
But there was also Captain America in all of his glory of an enchanted big body wearing the same outfit. So ignoring Steve's warning about keeping it on the down low, she was forced to use her skills when she noticed that the waitresses were whispering about him - One peek and Wanda could read their suspicion. The blonde among them was sure of who he was, but a little influence from the witch and that certainty vanished. She could go back to serving coffee without further doubts.
Steve could thank her later for that.
Wanda's first mission was simple. To observe, to provide support. It was more about seeing Steve in action than anything else. Learning how the more experienced ones acted or something. She knew that Clint was somewhere high up, perhaps in one of the buildings away from the main square.Â
In any case, they were all surrounding the large Italian-style mansion on the edge of the island. And Tony in his iron armor was taking care of the offshore area, in case the targets escaped by water.
Everything was going well, and almost tedious to be honest, for hours on end. The gala party was happening loud and clear into the night, but Wanda and the others had the excuse of dinner time to stay at the tables in the cheap corner restaurant.Â
"We have our first celebrity guest, Captain." Clint's warning over the communicator almost took her by surprise - but Wanda was paying attention to the mansion's large iron door, where she could see the movement in and out of the party. The equally bored security guards finally got something to do - Opening the door to the visually drunk man heading towards the limo waiting for him.
Steve left some cash on the table, standing up before the drunk man had even finished insulting the staff for taking so long to open the door for him. She knew the captain was heading towards the parked motorcycle to follow the car since that was the plan. But she noticed - felt - something different.
The target was an Italian mobster who had attracted Shield's attention by being quoted in a human experimentation scheme. All those involved in the Hydra project, which created people like her and Pietro, were being hunted down one by one. It was an Avengers-level operation because little was known about how far Hydra had managed to go. How many superhumans they manage to create? It wouldn't be smart to send ordinary agents who would probably be up against people as powerful as Wanda.
And well, there was another detail about the target; he had two daughters. According to the files, the girls didn't take part in their father's work. They just enjoyed the money from a crime like two foolish socialites.
Although the two figures were identical to the photographs in the files, something in Wanda clicked when she looked at what was supposed to be the mobster's youngest daughter.
"Steve, there's something wrong." She gasped into the communicator. The waiter looked surprised - he thought she was talking to him.
"Mi dispiace, signorina, cosa ha detto? (Excuse me, what did you say, miss?)" But Wanda muttered excuse me in a very bad accent and got up. At her warning, Steve hesitated and instead of going to the motorcycle, he stopped at the bar.Â
The mobster didn't leave the scene either, confirming Wanda's suspicions that things were very wrong.Â
From inside the mansion, two security guards ran out - they shouted that something had been stolen from the sale. And the gate was closed again.
The man, drunk and confused, was searched. The presence of a pearl necklace hidden in his jacket was enough for him to be dragged back by the thugs, who ignored the foaming protests of him and his eldest daughter, who ran inside after her father.
"What's the saying again, thief who steals thief...?" Clint joked over the communicator, clearly from wherever he was, he had witnessed the whole scene.
Although he laughed, Steve began to move forward. "Change of plans, guys. Let's break up the party." He announced, and it was no surprise that the positions of the remaining team members quickly began to reveal themselves.
Everyone left their hiding place to invade the party - Tony's armor was the first to act to hack open the iron gates. Most of the security corps surrendered on seeing the Avengers there, but there was still conflict. Steve just wanted to act quickly before the mobster they had come to capture was executed for stealing a pearl necklace.
And Wanda, well, she followed her instincts.
The mobster's daughter fled the scene - She was supposed to go after her father, but she snuck into the parking lot. Wanda had to run a little to avoid losing sight of her.
The confusion of the party invaded by the Avengers was loud enough to drown out her footsteps, and Wanda managed to hide behind some pillars when the figure reached a parked car. She thought she was about to discover that the mobster's daughter was actually more aware of her father's business than she let on when something much more shocking happened.
Before her eyes, Wanda watched the figure change completely. From the original appearance, only the coat and expensive dress remained.
A shapeshifter? What an incredible thing to witness, Wanda thought. She had only heard stories about Loki and had never seen anything other than Natasha's tools of disguise. This here was truly remarkable.
You hummed low, pulling out a closed suitcase from your coat. The Italian mafia symbol made Wanda understand the whole thing quickly - The necklace was just a distraction. The real theft was what you were carrying.
The coat was discarded on the pavement in the parking lot, but before you could stow it in the trunk, you froze. Wanda had half a second to hide behind the pillar, holding her breath and hoping you hadn't seen her.
Well, worst case scenario, she'd use magic on you.
She risked a peek, but you were no longer near the car. Gone, like the suitcase.
Wanda sighed in defeat, feeling pathetic. Her first mission would be marked with the escape of an enemy. How embarrassing.
But then she was suddenly grabbed and restrained. Wanda gasped in shock, imagining that it was one of the building's security guards. Her magic acted faster than the panic in her system - it went through her body and hit the attacker in the chest, who was thrown to the ground.
"Wow, how did you do that?" The voice that came out was definitely not that of a brute like the party security guards. Wanda turned around panting, ready for another attack, but you were sitting on the floor, back to your original appearance, looking at her as if you had just seen the most incredible creature in the world.
Wanda opened her mouth, but couldn't think of anything to say. She was sure she had been grabbed by a security guard, but then she understood: You had changed to look like one. But her magic forced you to return to your real appearance, and Wanda had to convince herself that the way her heart raced and her stomach did two flips was because of the fright, and nothing more.
Her lack of reaction didn't intimidate you. You tilted your head gently. "You're the new one."
You started to get up, Wanda swallowed dryly, taking another step away. Her hands glowed as red as her eyes. "Stay back."
But you looked at her carefully, as if you were studying her. And you didn't seem afraid of your powers, even though a minute ago you'd been thrown to the ground for it.
"Oh, I remember you from television." You suddenly declare, a glint of recognition in your eyes. "The girl from the country who fell from the sky."
Wanda tried to steady her trembling hands. "I'll take you into custody. I know you stole something."
But you didn't pay any attention to the statement - You advanced against her and she backed away instinctively until Wanda was pressed to the pillar again. One hand against your stomach and the other on your shoulder, keeping you at a safe distance.
She could have just hit you with the magic, but she didn't. Just like you, she didn't attack.
"What... are you doing?" She gasped in a mixture of curiosity and fear, both hands controlling your distance were expelling her power. One of your hands moved up and grabbed her face gently - Wanda had to bite the inside of her cheek at the way her skin burned at your touch. Was it attraction she was feeling? No, it couldn't be. You were a complete stranger. She had to convince herself that this was fear.
You turned her face to one side and then the other, your eyes so focused that you seemed to be trying to memorize every aspect of her appearance.
"I've never met another one of us before." You say, and Wanda frowns in confusion. Your hand remains on her chin, and she swallows dryly before taking a chance:
"Us? Like... another Baron Strucker experiment?" She deduces, and you nod softly before letting go of her face.
You move your hand down and hold the one she has against your stomach. "It's so warm. What is it?" You ask tenderly about her magic.Â
Wanda can feel her cheeks burning but she managed to stammer: "Hm... itâs a form of energy, I think." Jesus, Wanda pull yourself together. Well, who could really blame her for feeling out of place about the whole thing? She was literally on her first mission, being pinned against a pillar in the parking lot of a mafia party by some random thief, blushing under the worshipful gaze of that same shape-shifter while her team blew stuff up in the background. It was too much for anyone.Â
She tries to gain a little control when she evades your touch, slipping to the side and putting distance between your bodies again. She also ignores how her hand is tingling, as if she was missing your touch from seconds ago.
"How did the Baron manage to give you energy?" You asked curiously but frowned in a worried way.
Wanda sighed. She really was having a conversation with a jewelry thief.
"It was a stone... um, a special kind. It may sound ridiculous, but it was a magic one. It came from outer space, the Avengers actually have a lot of work protecting them. And well, it now sits on the head of one of us and-"
But you suddenly moved - You lifted the hem of your dress just above your thigh, and pulled out a small, hidden pistol. Wanda's heart leaped to her throat. She barely had time to think about reacting, and you had already pulled the trigger.
There was still an arc of magic protecting her when she risked opening her eyes again. You were both out of breath, staring at each other before you lowered the gun.
The shot wasn't aimed at her, as Wanda realized the next second. But behind her, to one of the party guests who was trying to escape the Avengers by running into the parking lot. And well, catching one of them, off guard was quite an opportunity. The man now was writhing in pain on the ground, bleeding from the shot to the neck that you had hit him with. His own gun, loaded to shoot Wanda, rolled off his hand to the grass next to his body.Â
Wanda should move. Criminal or not, trying to murder her or not, he needed help.
You raised an eyebrow at the magical protection disappearing around her. "Youâre full of tricks arenât, you?â You teased while hiding your gun again, now on your belt. âThis was fun, Wanda Maximoff. Unfortunately, I must leave."
She shallows, knowing she really should move her feet. "You can't go... I have- I should arrest you."
You glance towards the man on the ground, practically unconscious now before looking at the girl again. "But he needs your help, and what kind of superhero doesn't help a bleeding victim?"
Her body reacts to your sarcastic words; she rushes to reach the assaulter and stop the bleeding. You donât miss the opportunity to walk away to your motorcycle.
Wanda is too busy with the guest to notice you are escaping - Her magic do the hard part to patch up the bleeding and sheâs stuck there with this man, at least for the necessary time for you to escape.
Wanda bites her tongue when she sees your motorcycle flee out the back exit, hoping none of her colleagues saw her letting you escape.
It doesn't even take five minutes for Natasha to find her, worried about where she was hiding during the shooting.
âWhat the hell happened here?â Asked the widow but as soon as she saw the gun on the floor, she assumed that Wanda was defending herself. She sighs before the witch can come up with an explanation. âFuck, Iâm just glad youâre okay, Maximoff. Pretty hardcore for your first mission, huh?â Nat jokes, and somehow, she manages a little chuckle from Wanda. The redhead gives her shoulder a soft tug. "Come on, witchy, iâll take care of this one. Go find the others."
Natasha offered her a hand to help her up, but Wanda didn't want to take it. Her own were stained with blood.
"I think I'll go back to the quinjet." Said the brunette with a sour stomach. A lot had happened in a very short period of time. Natasha nodded quickly.
"Yeah, sure, go ahead." Said the widow, forcing a smile when she noticed the way the witch was shaking with adrenaline. "And Wanda. You did alright, okay? More than that, to be honest. You caught the hint that something was wrong very quickly. Iâm proud of you.â
Wanda just nodded, taking the opposite path from all the confusion. Completely unaware that a few kilometers away, at high speed, a shapeshifter left the motorcycle's handlebars to press against their own chest. Trying to understand why their heart was racing so much and the feeling of doing something wrong if the robbery had been a success.

Come home | Bucktommy
Finally it was Friday and Buck had 48 hours off and for those few times they could fit in rest, Tommy had 48 hours off as well, so they decided to go out together and then go to karaoke quiz and meet there with Chim and Maddie, Hen and Karen, so that tommy could again to go out with chim and hen as he used to do when he was at 118, because after moving to harbour they didn't talk to each other often and rarely went out together
After a nice dinner at the "hollywood's oldest italian restaurant", after the first date had been disastrous, they decided to go back there to have a good memory, even though that first date was disastrous, both Tommy and Buck still remember it with a smile, at the memory of an awkward Buck who pretended to want to meet âpretty girlsâ even though he was looking at the one he had been drooling over for days and had never been able to talk to and had hurt his best friend by hitting him during the basketball game, jealous that everyone especially Eddie, had had a chance to spend more time with Tommy unlike Buck who had never had a chance to do so.
After dinner, after take the machine they went toward the karaoke where maddie, chim hen and karen were already standing there talking while they waited for them
-Chim âso ready for this beautiful evening at karoke quiz?â
-Buck âI can't wait, I've been preparing all week and I'm ready to defeat you all,â he said defiantly
-Tommy âhoney, you know we're just playing and you're not going to win anything, it's just a quiet nightâ he said tenderly looking at buck
-Buck âoh yeah? then if you say it's just a quiet game, and there's nothing competitive why is it that every time we go there with lucy or sal, you always bring me and not eddie anymore huh?â he said raising an eyebrow
-Tommy âbecause every time you answer a question well, you glow in your own light, and I like so much to see you happy, that's why I always take you with me, to see you happy but also to win of course, Eddie is not as good as you are and at least I have the excuse to kiss you every time we scoreâ he said putting an arm around buck's waist and kissing him on one cheek
-Hen â enough of this mushy stuff, I'm not ready to see a mushy tommyâ she said laughing
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
After three rounds buck and tommy were in a tie thanks mostly to buck, while the others had at least already had a glass of beer each every time they lost a round
After another hour or so and more drinks drunk, Hen and Karen decided to retire, for the next day they were to organize a picnic in the park with Danny and Mara
After another 3 rounds the buck and tommy man man team the team was losing and they had each drunk at least 2 glasses of beer, while Maddie and Chim on the other hand were winning with Maddie who, as a typical buckley, had competition in her blood and had managed to get people to drink glasses of beer to Tommy who, together with a bit of alcohol already consumed during dinner at the restaurant, was already a little tipsy but still rational while Buck, although he had drunk a few glasses, was still fine
In the end with the last two rounds the victory was that of buck and tommy with tommy and chim a little tipsy while maddie and buck were the more sober ones, even though they had also been drinking, and they decided that before leaving to sing a song at the karoke
-Chim "But before we go home, we have a nice karaoke for our parter buckley, eh Tommy, are you up for it?" Chim said, slurring a bit, looking towards Tommy
-Tommy "yes I'm, man, and you buck will see my singing skills just for you" Tommy said visibly tipsy looking at a buck, with an amused look but also in a tender way in seeing his boyfriend tipsy, knowing that when sober he would never do it , certainly not in front of other people but only buck could see that romantic side of hers
The first to sing was Chim who chose "island in the stream" and while he was looking at Maddie who was amused by her husband who was so out of tune and stammered the words a few times
After finishing singing Chim staggered a little towards Maddie, who laughingly congratulated Chim on how well she had sung and then kissed him
As soon as Tommy's turn arrived, he went to the box to choose the song without telling anyone the title and placing himself in the center ready to sing
Havinâ time to think can be so nice But it doesnât do me any good To lay awake at night And think of you And I wish you were here I think of you And I wish you were here
He said the first verse without slurring, looking towards Buck who looked at him with love and affection, having immediately understood what the song was, "come home" by Fell Runner which was the same one in which it was the first time they had dinner together and they chose that that was their song from now on
Iâm doing my best To keep my thoughts entertained By doing all the things That I know I should do But itâs hard to think straight When Iâm missinâ you babe And I just wanna be next to you
So come home (come home) And be with your man
With these last verses Tommy, his eyes shining from the alcohol, looked at Buck, staggering a little as the song ended
Throughout the song Tommy always looks at Buck as if he wanted to make it clear how much that man loved his boy, and he wanted to express it in that moment with those words, wanting to make Buck understand that for him "home" is any place and time where Buck is there with him
As soon as the song ended Tommy went towards Buck, who hugged him around the waist and kissed him at that moment, wanting to express his love towards Tommy with that kiss because no one in his life had ever done such a romantic gesture for him, in fact often it was the opposite, in which buck was always the one who was more romantic than the exes, but after meeting tommy he understood that tommy was also romantic only that he didn't show it in front of others but reserved it only for buck
As soon as he pulled away from Tommy
-buck "I love you" he said murmuring those little words, looking at Tommy
They still hadn't said those 3 little words because they were waiting for that exact moment in which they understood that they were in love with each other, but buck as soon as you heard the song that Tommy sang to them, he understood that it was that right moment, right to say those words so heavy and full of love just thinking about them but so light as soon as he said them
After saying those words, Tommy kissed him and murmured those words too, muttering a little, making Buck giggle and they knew that from that moment on their love could only increase day by day.

The drummer Roger Taylor, sipping champagne on a leather sofa in his penthouse duplex overlooking Battersea Park, finds the whole situation hilarious. âOh God, weâve always got stick for everything,â he grins. âPeople say, âYouâre mistreating the legacyâ, and I think, well, thanks for your concern, but itâs my f***ing legacy.â
A random article from 2011 (in anticipation of Stormtroopers in Stilettos exhibition) I'm unpaywalling simply because of Roger's epic quote above. "It's my f***ing legacy" damn right! Full article below.
Revisiting history
Queen are 40 this year â and, to celebrate, theyâre reissuing their first five albums. Brian May and Roger Taylor talk to us about Bowie and Freddie
Freddie Mercury once described his bandâs songs as being like âdisposable razors â use them, darling, then throw them awayâ. Yet, almost 40 years after Queenâs first LP, that seems an ever more unlikely scenario. Every possible attempt has been made by critics and the self-appointed guardians of musical good taste to ridicule, belittle and bedraggle their arch, explosive, overwrought, emotive, theatrical, propulsive, gargantuan records (betÂween March 1974 and December 1992, they had 40 UK chart hits â even their successful streaks were wildly over the top), but the public voted time and time again, and the public voted, more often than not, for even more Queen, even more of the time.
Nine years ago, the band spent a reported ÂŁ7.5m of their own money on a musical, part-written by Ben Elton â then, as now, easily as unfashionable as Queen â featuring their songs. It was savaged by the press (one reviewer from the American magazine The Advocate flew across the Atlantic just so they could call it âcomplete bollocksâ), yet, nearly a decade later, the towering, if rather unflattering, statue of Mercury triumphant still towers above the entrance to Londonâs Dominion Theatre â and, every night, every seat in the house is full.
âRespect is a funny thing,â says the guitarist Brian May, enjoying the aubergine special at a smart Italian restaurant in Holland Park. âIf you look for it, youâll forever be disappointed.â Queen have had very little, I suggest. Does that seem fair? âItâs true,â he laughs. âBut we get everything, from complete, overwhelming love to total, outright derision. I donât take any of it on board, really. It would ruin you if you believed it. Youâd go nuts. I care what people say, but both extremes are dangerous.â
Five years ago, it was announced that the bandâs Greatest Hits LP was the UKâs biggest-selling album of all time, and now Queen have signed a new record deal with Island/Universal, after almost 40 years with EMI. The band âeffectively May and Taylor (Mercury died in 1991, while the bass player, John Deacon, keeps his old colleagues âat armâs lengthâ, according to the guitarist) â will be spending the next 12 months revisiting their history.
The anniversary celebrations begin with a photography exhibition â Stormtroopers in Stilettos â that opens this week and focuses on the bandâs nascent, ultra-pouty, satin-blouse-and-nail-polish years, most of the images coming from Mayâs own âair-conditioned and bomb-proofâ archive. âI do look at those pictures in wonderment,â he says. âIâm so strange and angular and awkward and uncomfortable-looking. I used to be embarrassed by it, but now I feel really forgiving. Itâs like looking at my own children.â
There's a basic truth there - you shouldn't be ashamed to reach a lot of people. What could be better than reaching a lot of people while retaining some intelligence?
Following that will be the reÂrelease of their first five albums, from the ultra-glam, heavy-rock debut up to the panoramically ambitious A Night at the Opera and A Day at the Races, which marked the end of Queen part one. All will arrive as deluxe sets, with a wealth of extras, and all have been remastered by May and Taylor. The pair have been closer to their early material than they have been for years, and seem genuinely amazed by what they found. âYou can hear how we wanted to be intense and passionate and heavy, but still very melodic,â May says. âWe were always trying to find ways to fulfil what we heard in our heads.â
âWhat was always thrilling to me was when people really loved the records,â Taylor smiles. âThereâs a basic truth there â you shouldnât be ashamed to reach a lot of people. What could be better than reaching a lot of people while retaining some intelligence?â
Few groups can claim members born in Kingâs Lynn and Zanzibar, but then few groups are quite like Queen â âthe most preposterous band that ever livedâ, according to Mercury. May and Taylor met at Imperial College London in 1968 and formed a band called Smile. In early 1969, their own bass player introduced them to a friend of his called Farrokh (Freddie) Bulsara (later Mercury), who was studying art in Ealing. May and he had lived less than a mile from each other in Feltham, southwest London, but had never met.
âI remember the first time I went round to his house,â May says. âHe wanted to play me Jimi Hendrix on his Dansette record player â he was totally obsessed with him. Even then, Freddie was a star â very shy, but heâd comÂpensate by being grand and flamboyant. He was a serious dandy.â
âWe got on immediately,â laughs Taylor, who teamed up with his new friend to set up a vintage clothes and art stall in Kensington Market. âWe had a dream of being in a working band, but the only way to live was to sell the sort of outlandish clothes we loved. So we ponced around in velvet capes and tight trousers, and sold the look to other people.â
Freddie had his own bands, Ibex and Wreckage â the latter even supported the psychedelic journeymen Iron Butterfly â but both came to nothing. By late 1970, after he had tried out various day jobs, including working for a bootmaker, the friends came together as Queen. Taylor remembers their first gig being arranged by his mother: they secured ÂŁ50 to play for the Red Cross in Truro. Soon after, they were doing regular gigs, and rehearsing, at Imperial College. The band signed to EMI in late 1972 and were introduced to the world with a showcase gig at the Marquee. Their first single, Mayâs Keep Yourself Alive, flopped on release, while their ambitious debut album also failed to make an impact. Meanwhile, David Bowie, for one, was developing into a huge success with a similar mix of high camp and hard rock. âIt was a traumatic time,â Taylor says. âWe always feared weâd been left behind. It took us such a long time to get any success.â
âMe and Freddie would travel up and down to our management on a No 9 bus, asking why nothing was happening or why we couldnât get back in the studio,â May says. The band used downtime at a place Bowie had hired to record. The call might not come until 3am, but when it did, they would race in and work until the sun came up. âIt was a shambles,â May laughs.
Queen embarked on a bout of prolonged, intensive touring, including an infamous US trip with Mott the Hoople. A Billboard review from 1974 admonished Mercury for âleaning a little too heavily on stage dramaticsâ, but that never bothered the increasingly devoted crowds too much. âMott were perfect for us,â Taylor says. âThey had an open-minded, very rockânâroll, insane audience. They were liberated, colourful â not the normal rock crowd.â
âThat was when we learnt how to be rock stars,â May smiles. âJust as you thought the day was over, one of Mott would burst into your room, loaded with bottles and whatever else, and off youâd go again. It was very, very full-on and very, very exciting.â
Fred wouldnât get out of the van some nights. He and Brian had black-and-white fingernails, and literally wore dresses
All the touring made Queen II a proper hit; then Bowie helped out again by pulling out of Top of the Pops at the last moment. Queen filled in, and Seven Seas of Rhye became their first chart smash.
âWe got our hook into the mainstream,â Taylor says. âThe shows got bigger, but it was rough. Fred wouldnât get out of the van some nights. He and Brian had black-and-white fingernails, and literally wore dresses, but the tough audiences in Liverpool and Glasgow and Newcastle loved us.â
The bandâs third album, Sheer Heart Attack, pushed them over the top. The most heinous excesses were reined in, in favour of a streamlined, hit-delivering monster. Taylor describes it as âgrand, but not preposterously soâ. The single Killer Queen became their biggest hit yet.
Queen had other problems, however. Playing two shows a night on early tours left Mercury with nodes in his throat, and the band were in a âstiflingâ relationship with their management. âWe were penniless,â May says. âThey kept all the money and spent it on swimming pools.â
A new deal with Elton Johnâs manager, John Reid, promised to wipe out these worries, and the band soon delivered their next single, BoÂhemian Rhapsody. EMI turned it down flat, demanding a radio edit. No such cut was made, and the six-minute song stayed at No 1 for two months. The album that followed, A Night at the Opera, went Top 10 all over the world. Taylor laughs, recalling how, when Queen came to record A Day at the Races, they realised that Opera was âbloody impossible to follow upâ.
All the looking back has made May and Taylor consider the 20 years that have passed since Mercuryâs death. âThese days, our creative fire is more like an ember that flickers occasionally,â Taylor says. May stirs his espresso and smiles. âI just wish he was here to enjoy this with us. He would love this. It was Roger and me in the beginning, and itâs Roger and me again, but Freddieâs always with us. Heâs eternal, part of the fabric of every day of our lives.â

Words: 4023
April 8th 2020
Maya looks around the pasta hanging out to dry in her and Carinaâs kitchen as well as the cheeses around the island in growing anxiety. Sheâs a woman who likes control especially in her own home but she knows itâs not just her home anymore itâs hers and Carinaâs.
Lately Carina has been on a cooking binge and while Maya found it sexy at first now, she finds it to be an inconvenience to have ingredients for a whole party in a pandemic. She tries to hide her stress as she walks around her roommate Andy Herrera who looks more amused than Maya at the kitchen being turned into an Italian restaurant.
âI-I always dreamed of living inside a Buca di Beppo, andâŠand now we do.â Andy jokes.
Maya explains, âCarina is hanging all this to dry. She says that it reminds her of home.â A little of her stress shows as she asks her best friend, âWhat do I do with this?â
Andy smiles holding a cheese slice, âI don't know. Throw a dinner party?â
Andy sniffs and is taken back by the scent as Carina walks in with her brother behind her. Andrew DeLuca came by after making a request to Carina last night about making a dish so he can give it to Amber as a symbol of his love and an apology.
âOh, you like that one?â Carina smiles, âIt's Basilio. Pesto-flavored and made from unpasteurized sheep's milk.â
Maya looks at Andrew curiously feeling her stress grow at having guests over without her knowledge. She shoves it down, however knowing better than to antagonize her loverâs brother. Instead she asks the Italian man calmly.
âHi, what are you doing here?â
âIâm here to get something from Carina, she said she just got it out of the oven this morning. I had to get them while theyâre hot.â
Carina pulls out a small white cake box with a window showing that instead of cake it has cannoliâs instead.
Andrew gratefully takes the box, âThank you, hopefully these will do the job.â
âWhat job?â Andy asks, curious about what his intentions are, and he explains.
âThe job of convincing a prickly resident to love and forgive me once she sees I am serious about my mental health and my commitment to a relationship she told me is dead twice now.â
Andy hmms at that, âMost guys give flowers and chocolates.â
âAmber hates flowers.â Andrew informs her plainly, âAnd she says chocolate is good but sour gummy bears are her sweet toothâs love.â
Maya chuckles, âShe soundsâŠunique.â
Andrew sighs wistfully, âYou have no idea. I better get going while these are still fresh thanks again.â Carina grins as her brother leaves, âWish me luck!â
Andy chuckles before turning to Maya, âUh, we're gonna be late.â
Maya nods and looks at Carina who is washing tomatoes. She caresses her back before walking away but not before shouting to Carina and the world, âI love you!â
Carina looks at Maya with an amused grin and the blonde firefighter leaves while Carina laughs.
Later
April and Amber get out of Amberâs car that she parks behind Jacksonâs apartment building. Their shift ended an hour ago so April proposed they carpool together so they can save the planet one way. Amber didnât resist, mostly because sheâs too tired and worn out to object, but still.
April slings her purse over her shoulder while Amber gets her backpack from the back, âHow did it go with Ian Talbertâs lawyer?â
Amber saddens reminded of her patient who died after putting her on the will. She slings her backpack and slams the door, âHe was asking me questions to make sure I didnât persuade Ian before he died. After that he left me about 50 grand from Ianâs account.â
Aprilâs eyes widen at that amount, âWow, he wasnât kidding about leaving you everything.â
âWell yes and no.â Amber explains as they walk to the front entrance, âMost of his estate went to his ex-wife and a variety of military charities. Honestly, Iâm glad I didnât get everything. I wouldnât know what to do with all of that money let alone 50 grand.â
April shrugs, âYou could donate it or invest in a new place.â
âReal estate is hell right now and your neighbors are much cleaner. Iâll think of something once this whole thing is over.â
âDo you have work tomorrow?â
They turn left at the corner on the sidewalk, âI have a shift tomorrow afternoon so Iâm just gonna spend the day reading trashy novels. I just hope the next patient I have in the ICU heâll walk out with everyone clapping. God, I want someone to get a good clap out.â Amber holds the military tags in her hands as she misses Ian.
April looks at her in sympathy, âHe didnât blame you; you know that.â
âI know but that doesnât mean I donât blame myself.â
Amber and April finally arrive at the front entrance where Amber sees Andrew DeLuca on the bench outside. He is wearing a leather jacket, blue shirt and jeans with a black mask on his face. Amberâs shock is hidden by her red fabric mask as well as Aprilâs who is wearing a purple mask.
Andrew stands up holding the white box and greets, âHi I uh wanted to come by and see how you are since Grey was admitted to the ICU.â
Amberâs shock morphs to annoyance over Andrew not taking a hint and looks down on the ground with her arms crossed while April is next to her watching how the scene plays out like sheâs watching medical Bridgerton.
Andrew clears his throat, âAnyways I brought you something special. Itâs cannoliâs.â Amber closes her eyes at the symbol of the cannoliâs.
Story of Cannoli's Here
âI thought some sweets would help and I know how much you liked the dark chocolate chips inside the filling.â
Amber exhales annoyed as April looks at her waiting for her reaction but she stays silent while the Italian waits there with the box in his hands. The red headed doctor decides to step in desperate for this to not be awkward.
âIt looks delicious Andrew.â April says for Amber who glares at her before glaring at her ex-boyfriend.
âShe does not speak for me; I speak for me so I am gonna speak for me to you so you can get this through your thick skull.â Andrew frowns sensing a verbal lashing coming, âWhen I tell you youâre not gonna earn my forgiveness I mean it. When I tell you that I am not getting back into this crap fest of a relationship with you I mean it. This is not some high school, âI hate him because I love himâ crap this is me putting myself first after I made myself vulnerable for you and you hurt me in every way you knew would do the trick. And then you walked away without so much as letting me know if you were alive or not which at this point I donât give a damn about either!â
Andrew stands there frowning while April is next to them trying to look anywhere else besides the soap opera right in front of her. Amber exhales before continuing.
âYou are untrustworthy, you are unpredictable, you are unstable, and I have had enough of all of that to last all our lifetimes. I am 150 percent certain that if I give you another chance you will slip, and I will once again be forced to raise a mentally incompetent child whose main goal is to hurt me or neglect me and I am not doing that again! So I donât want you coming to me with Italian pastries or sweet words to make me forget the hell you put me through because I donât want to see you, I donât want to hear from you!â
Andrew stands there with a hurt look that makes April feel sympathetic towards him. Amber growls under her breath and briskly walks away from them pushing the front door open. April gingerly approaches Andrew taking the box from him while he sighs at another brutal rejection.
âSorry.â April says not knowing what else to do. She walks away from him and follows Amber expecting to find her in front of the elevator. But she spots Amber opening the door to the stairwell, so she runs toward her and starts walking up the stairs with Amber a flight ahead.
âHey why are we taking the stairs? Elevators were invented, you got the memo right?â
Amber is breathing steadily as she climbs, âYour ex is taking up the gym so I gotta get my exercise somehow. Plus, the maskless Karenâs donât take the stairs and itâs less awkward than an elevator ride with them.â
âI bet.â April begins to pant as the exertion is getting to her but she continues to talk to Amber while they climb, âHey speaking of exes are we gonna talk about your brutal dismembering of yours five seconds ago?â
âYou are my friend, not his you do not get to take his side.â Amber tells April angrily.
âI am not taking sides I am just saying maybe you could have made your point a little less viciously. Especially when heâs trying to get back in your good graces.â
âHe dumped me, kicked me out and compared me to my mom.â Amber coldly reminds April who is lagging behind, âAnd that was just the day of the blizzard, do you want me to list all the other things that make his attempts look like trying to glue together shredded paper?â
April pants overexerted, âYou need to stop.â
Amber doesnât notice as sheâs climbing the stairs without a problem unlike April, âDo not tell me what to do.â
âNo, I mean stop!â Amber stops midway through the steps causing April to stop and lean against the railing clutching her chest, âIâm having a cardiac event these stairs are killing me. You have no idea how lucky you are to be 29.â
â26.â Amber corrects a heaving April who looks up annoyed, âI skipped 4th and 9th grade and finished undergrad in 3 years.â
âI hate you.â April exhales deeply as she leans against the rail to Amberâs confusion.
âDidnât you have to do basic training in the army or something?â
April gulps, âThat was a long time ago and I was a surgeon on the field not a soldier.â
âEither way we gotta keep going, do you want me to carry you soldier?â Amber asks sarcastically.
April shakes her head and stands up straight, âLetâs do this, just keep a slow pace please.â
Amber rolls her eyes but goes back to climbing at a relatively calmer pace as April walks up behind her, âIâm not trying to make this harder for you and Iâm not taking sides Iâm just saying maybe give the poor guy credit where credit is due.â
âI am not moving back in with him.â Amber emphasizes.
âIâm not saying you should I am just saying all that anger and rage you have towards him isnât just killing him itâs killing you too.â Amber scoffs at Aprilâs analysis, âLook the world is imploding we donât need you blowing it up as well. Maybe you can lessen the resentment just a bit and see things from his point of view.â
Amber scoffs, âYeah, I know his point of view, I know the stress and the crazy that filled his head for months before he came to his senses. I have had to do that with my mom and brother so I wouldnât be so mad at them, and I have had it. I have had it with the crazy and the trust issues and being a checklist of apologies when they take their meds after a crazy spiral, I am not gonna do that again. And that scene was me making it clear, trust me heâll thank me for getting his foot in the door and showing him thereâs no future where we could possibly work.â
Later
A loud thud stops Bailey as she enters the supply closet. She sees the sound coming from Andrew DeLuca roughly organizing the supplies they have on the shelves. He puts the storage bins on the shelves with so much force they rattle. Even though heâs wearing a mask she sees in his eyes the frustration that she can tell is coming from some place other than work.
âDeLuca?â Andrew stops in place for a moment before putting another bin on the shelf with a little less force, âIs there a reason youâre organizing the closet like itâs a boxing gym?â
Andrew chuckles darkly, âLetâs see, I got saddled with a bipolar diagnosis, made an embarrassment of myself in front of the entire medical community, have to work at a hospital in the middle of a pandemic and just an hour ago the woman I love told me to fuck off when I tried to ply her with cannoliâs.â Bailey frowns at that feeling bad for him, âIâm hoping my luck will change soon and Iâll contract this virus and die inside one of those depressing cubicles.â
âThat is not funny.â
âI wasnât trying to be.â Andrew bitterly says before grabbing a bin and throwing it at the floor getting more mad at himself by the minute, âShe called me another mentally incompetent child she was burdened with which you know I can take it because letâs be honest itâs more tame than the crap I said to her. Itâs probably what I deserve after I stupidly destroyed the only good relationship I have even been.â
âThe mental illness did that you didnât.â Bailey tries to tell him to no avail.
âLike mental illness got her mom to neglect her and her brother to almost kill her?â Andrew asks that stops Bailey in place, âMaybe if she didnât have so much of that crap happening to her over and over again we could beâŠbut we canât. She doesnât want me because she thinks I am gonna be like her mom and my father and make false promises to get better only to keep disappointing her. AndâŠand the thought of doing this to her again makes me sick, it makes me promise not to her but to myself that I will not go down the path of my father, that I will be better than him.â
Bailey nods and speaks again, âHave you said all of this to her?â
Andrew chuckles bitterly, âShe is not reciprocal of me right now, trust me.â
âDeLuca, I separated from my husband when I was slipping too. I made him feel like it was his fault that I was on the verge of another heart attack. I made him leave and it wasnât until I got better, I realized my life was less stressful with him in it than without.â Bailey sighs at that rough time before continuing, âNow when I came to my senses, I knew it would take more than one apology to get him to take me back. I knew I had to fight for my marriage after I almost broke it. I knew I loved him enough to show him I am not gonna run again and that I was here to stay. Can you tell me if you feel that way about Amber?â
Andrew inhales and exhales behind his mask, âI do.â
âThen tell her all of that and if she still doesnât trust youâŠthen find a way to live your life without her because she canât be your salvation, you have to be that for yourself.â Bailey leaves Andrew to think over her advice.
Later
Vic and Travis enter the scene and see the pregnant woman outside her house smashing tables and chairs with a baseball bat and spouting bible verses in anger annoying her neighbors.
âDo unto your neighbors as you would have them do unto you!â
Travis and Vic start gowning before entering the yard, âOh, fun. Church.â
Vic asks the lady from a distance, âMa'am, are you alright? We received a call about someone being struck by a-by a baseball.â
Gina hits the chair with the bat and yells at her neighbor, âYou want me to call the cops every time you get in a fight with your ugly husband, huh?!â
Travis tries to calm down the agitated woman, âHey, ma'am! Ma'am! We're not the police.â
âI still don't want you here!â
âOkay, we're actually from the Seattle Fire Department.â Vic holds a mask to Gina, âCan you please put this on?â
âGod protects us!â Gina defends.
âYep, God protects us with masks!â Travis argues back.
Vic gets back to topic as Gina hits a beer can with the bat, âMa'am, we got a call about a head injury. Can you tell us what happened?â
âYeah, I got drunk nine months ago and had sĐ”x with my loser husband! That's what happened! Eddie, try not to be such a bitch baby your whole life!â
Vic speaks to the radio, âAlright, Bishop, this is Aid Car 19. We're gonna need some backup here.â Vic sees the empty dog bowls and a dirty rope leash that was untied, âMaâam do you have a dog? Is he violent?â
Gina sees the empty leash and growls, âWhere the hell is that whining bitch! Hey!â She yells at the neighbors next door, âWhich one of you stole Jazz?! Iâm gonna crack your skulls if you donât give him back!â
An Asian teenager speaks up from behind her dad, âShut up Gina my momâs taking him to the vet after your loser ass husband fed him drugs when he was barking!â
Travis looks at the neighbors and the angry woman in shock, âWhat? YouâŠWhat?!â
Later
Andrew walks around the pit seeing as many patients as he can before he goes home. The pit is a welcome relief compared to the covid ICU. Suddenly an Asian woman in her early 50âs runs inside the pit carrying a three-legged black pitbull/labrador that is slowly losing consciousness in the womanâs arm who looks frantic.
âI need a doctor help!â Andrew sees her and is surprised by the dog but approaches her.
âMaâam what is it? Whatâs wrong? Are you hurt?â
The woman shakes her head, âNo itâs not me itâs the dog my neighbors they fed him drugs to shut him up and I got him untied when that cunt Gina wasnât looking, please help him.â
The story takes Andrew by surprise and he reacts, âOkay, um get him on a bed.â The woman puts the dog on the bed where he lies on his side whining causing Andrew to feel bad, âDo you know what this dog ate? Marijuana? Coke? Heroin?â
The woman thinks, âUm coke I think or maybe it was meth I think I donât know what my crazy ass neighbors are into the guy was always strung out of his mind and he had marks all over his arms.â
âOkay it sounds like cocaine, Narcan!â The nurse hands him the Narcan and he does the math as quickly as he can to figure out the right amount to give, âOkay heâs 20 pounds give or take, 0.4 kilograms per milligram. ThatâsâŠ9.07 times 0.4 is 3.6 milligrams Narcan.â He takes a syringe and squeezes out the right amount before inserting it in the dogâs hip and pushes the plunger. He anxiously waits several moments for a reaction, âCome on buddy, come on.â
The dog suddenly barks and stands on his three legs on the bed looking around the room excitedly causing Andrew and the woman to exhale in relief. The dog whines as he looks at both of them with interest. Hunt enters the pit and is taken back by the dog in the pit so he approaches them for answers.
âUm DeLuca?â
He explains to his boss, âDog came in from overdose apparently his owner fed it to him to shut him up. I gave him Narcan and heâs responding.â
âI brought him in, I wanted to take him to the pet emergency room, but I was afraid it was closed like everything else, so I came here.â The woman swallows the lump in her throat, âThank god I did though, I couldnât handle a pandemic let alone a dog who was killed by his idiot owners.â
Andrew chuckle slightly, âI think your putting those in the wrong order of horrible events.â
âIâm a dog mom so Iâm really not.â The woman scratches the dog behind his ears, âPlease tell me youâre not gonna discharge him back to that son of a bitch.â
Andrew straightens up and looks at the dog in sympathy as he lies down on the bed relaxing, âWe need to detox his system and if what you told me is true I think a shelter is a better place for him that with those people.â
The woman nods, âOkay I should probably go and make sure my family wasnât killed by Gina and Eddie aka Bonnie and Clyde on drugs. Plus the cops might want to know what happened assuming they get there. Those damn idiots make as much noise as this and itâs gotten worse since quarantine.â
DeLuca exhales at that, âWhen you put it like that a shelter might not sound so bad for this guy.â DeLuca strokes Jazzâs furry back who whines in pleasure at the attention.
Later
After hooking up Jazz to the activated charcoal via nasogastric tube and sedating him so he can lay still, DeLuca goes over the chart he made for the furry patient. He snorts thinking about the nurses and Baileyâs reaction to reading a patient chart for a dog. Vic and Warren enter the pit with Eddie handcuffed to the gurney with a facial laceration. The drug addict notices the dog and yells out.
âHey thatâs my dog!â
Vic holds an ice pack to her jaw, âEddie stop it, donât make things worse.â
âThatâs my dog man what the hell is he doing here?â DeLuca notices and feels anger at the man for acting concerned over a dog he almost killed, âJazz was supposed to be tied up how did he get out?â
Andrew marches over towards them with a look of fury, âYour Eddie?â
âYeah man why is my dog here?â
âYour dog is here because your neighbor did the right thing and brought him here after you fed him coke!â Andrew says in anger over Jazz.
âOkay DeLuca thatâs enough.â Vic says to ease the patient who starts to cry.
âNo, Iâm just getting started. If she didnât do what she did your dogâs heart would have stopped because his owner is an evil junkie!â
Eddie sniffles, âI just want my dog man come on.â
âDid you do that to his leg?â Andrew asks about the three-legged pet, âWhat did he do? Did he bark too loudly or wake you up from a hangover, so you decided to cut off his leg as punishment?â
Eddie shakes his head, âNo man he came like that I felt bad for him when I saw him at the pound I wanted to help.â
âGiving him drugs is helping?â DeLuca asks in anger, âA shelter can give him better care than you ever could. And cruelty towards an animal is gonna show if you ever try to get him back. I bet you didnât think about that when you were plying him with drugs.â
âHeâs all I got left man come on.â Eddie whimpers pathetically that makes DeLuca shake his head.
âCry me a fucking river.â Andrew coldly says before looking up at Warren and Hughes who stand there awkwardly, âTake him to Trauma 1 and get him as far away as possible from the dog until I take him to a shelter.â
The paramedics wheel a crying Eddie away while DeLuca goes over to Jazz who is sleeping. He looks down at the dog saddened by his previous living situation wondering how someone can be so cruel to their own dog.

Welcome to Pines Bay!
Working with Create a World for the first time was fun! It looked intimidating at first but I followed an amazing YouTube tutorial and itâs actually quite simple.
I liked the idea of building a tiny world where everything would be easily accessible and controllable. However, Iâm realising that it might be a little bit too tiny and I could get tired of it easily :(
Anyway, my inspo for it was an Hamptons kind of vibe. Iâve never been to the Hamptons lol but I took inspiration from a vague idea in my mind of how the coastal cities and Islands around New York look like. I wanted to build a world that looked rich but not tacky, basically âold moneyâ. Everything is very polished but also traditional. I think it came out pretty nice :). Iâm actually Italian and I lived in Paris so inevitably there were also other influences. I liked the idea of pine trees near the coast, like you see so often here in Italy. And Iâve built a park that is inspired from Parc Monceau in Paris.
Thereâs also a tennis court, wine bar, restaurant⊠might show some of it in the following days.

April 3, 2022.
It takes a good two months before a year starts to pick up for me. The first big win was in the final frigid day of February when I decided to take the train to Greenpointâs Academy Annex for some records; the first stop of what would be an amazing record-store victory tour. Then arrived March. I drove four miles to the shopping mall to look for leather jackets when I discovered a new retro- video arcade opened up. Within a few days I walk in and spent the entire day re-living my Atari / Nintendo / SNES youth. Those eight hours were a thoroughly exhaustive one. I saw games which I threw many rolls of quarters into, to others I only read about and fantasized even seeing up until then. The original Super Mario Bros. cabinet, The Neo Geo MVS, Outrun, R-Type, Taitoâs Superman, Atariâs Star Wars. Most of every great moment of my youth spent in delis, card stores, ice cream parlors, long-gone restaurants, and amusement parks were now all in one room.
Good thing I went because my all-time favorite ginger April* made a rare appearance in my store and I had to tell her about it. She came in to buy some A/V components like she always does and we spent a good ten minutes catching up on everything. April was a fangirl and a hardcore gamer of all formats so I had to share the wealth of news with her. Too late. She already went. Still, every visit from her counted as she was the cutest thing of pale skin, glasses, and Irish ancestry I ever seen.
I had another holiday spent with my Coney Island family. My aunt invited me to her daughterâs house in East Meadow for Easter where they, her aggressive right-wing country-music loving Trump supporter sons, her sister, and all the offspring you could think of would be there. A great four hours were had coloring eggs, watching Disneyâs Encanto on the big screen, and an endless feast of Italian food were laid out for all to gorge ourselves to death. Blessings were counted and they were enough to cash them in for a bright sunny Sunday. I also enjoyed the hour-long drive from East Meadow through Rt. 27 all the way home.
In between all this was a major event I was chasing for a while. It would be nice to attend a Boy Harsher show and theyâve been making the rounds in New York City quite often. I jumped at the opportunity to purchase tickets after their Halloween show and ultimately got them - only for January show to be postponed. Blame the COVID- omicron for it. But Jae & Augustus pushed it back to April and this time nothing was stopping them from performing nor anyone attending The Music Hall Of Williamsburg.
I learned that it was a two-hour ride each way from my line to Penn Station and back due to transfers at the Jamaica Station. Not good as I had to work a 10AM shift. This time, I opted to drive out to the Babylon stop for a direct line to Manhattan and back for fifty-five minutes each. I went up the stairs and waited only a few minutes before the train arrived on an elevated platform. Nothing special about the train ride on a cloudy mid-50* weather. The show, however, was a whole other story. Everyone enjoyed the opener Twin Tribes and the headlining Boy Harsher hands-down to great fanfare. I couldnât have waited in line to get some merch- as, once again, someone had to ride home for tomorrowâs payday.
I reversed the path from The Music Hall- by taking the L and Âœ/3 line back to Penn Station. It just so happened that I missed my train home by three minutes and it cost me an hour more before the next one came in. As I mentioned before, no transfers. Just a direct line from Penn Station back to Babylon where the double-decker cars awaited us. A nice surprise for me sitting in the seats above to contemplate my next major win: Sacred Bonesâ 15th anniversary show. It could only get better.
Fifteen years ago from this month, a new concept was born. I purchased a 30GB iPod Classic through a âfriendâ of mine at WUSB. Since then, I loaded all of my music into it and took it through many train rides. The iPod Classic has retired in favor of my iPhone SE. What once became a distraction has now been an auditioning process for future Omega WUSB shows and seasonal personal playlists. Nothing is off limits. Noise, backpacker, jazz, fusion, shoegaze, noise rock, post-punk, electronics, hardcore - everything. Everything I discover gets played in hopes of either being featured or forever a part of me. With a near endless plethora of outlets, mutuals, and other ways of obtaining music, thereâs almost never a moment of silence outside of work or sleep.

Disney Dreamland - Part 4: Fantasyland
(I had already posted about Mysteryland previously, which retroactively makes it Part 3. So we're moving on to the next part.)
Quite possibly the largest of the five lands, probably even beating out my mega-Adventureland.Â
Small World Gardens
Located behind Small World, this sprawling area would transition into Storybook Town Square. Flower arrangements inspired by Keukenhof in the Netherlands. Similar to Parisâs Fantasyland, there would be a couple rivers running through the garden with lovely bridges to cross over them.Â
Dumbo the Flying Elephant : The Masquerade Circus could be positioned near the Mysteryland/Fantasyland border so that the back of the tents could serve as a backdrop for the Dumbo ride, which would have its own little area in the gardens. I was at a loss on where else to place this ride, but I stubbornly wanted to include it as it is currently the only attraction to be found in all 6 existing castle parks and I didn't want to break that streak.
"Casey Jr. Circus Train": Doesn't have to specifically be Dumbo-themed, I just really want a cute novelty train to wind through the garden, with cute bridges to pass over the walkways and rivers.
âSwan Boatsâ: Paddle boats. I say âswan boatsâ but they donât have to be just swans, but could also resemble other birds such as ducks, geese, and flamingos.
Symphony Gazebo: A gazebo in the garden for a live band to play classical music.
âWindmill snack standâ: I saw a picture of the Old Mill in Paris and thought it looked so charming. German pretzels.Â
Storybook Town Square
The town follows in the footsteps of Ananheimâs 1983 overhaul with each building having its own unique look. Would feature a fluid mix of Bavarian and British architecture. The Bavarian half of the town on the west contains âPinocchio Squareâ and the theater. The British half on the east contains Peter Pan, Little Nemo (even though Nemo is American), and Mr. Toad. A large fountain stands in the center. Cobblestones would pave the ground. I want this area to evoke the feeling of Parisâs Fantasyland as well as Efteling in the Netherlands .Â
Pinocchioâs Daring Escape: Focuses more on escaping Pleasure Island. The only other thing I would change is have all the sets and animatronics appear to be carved out of wood, and have real clothes on the animatronics, for a more high-quality âhand madeâ look, the implication being the entire ride is a life-sized puppet show. The ride building along with the toy shop and restaurant form a smaller âPinocchio Squareâ, which would include a smaller fountain with a statue of Pinocchio.
Geppettoâs Toy Shop: Would feature regular retail plush toys, as well as old fashioned toys like wooden marionettes and wind-ups, as well as cuckoo clocks. Christmas ornaments can also be purchased here.  Â
Pinocchioâs Pizza Place: Italian cuisine. Basically the Pinocchio Village Haus in Orlando, but with an alliterative name, and also some of the pizzas have toppings decorated to look like Pinocchio smiley faces. Quick service. Â
Once Upon a Time Theatre: Hosts live indoor stage shows. While any show with Disney musical medleys is fine, I would much prefer original shows of rarely-featured stories, such as the other tales from the 1001 Arabian Nights, or a stage version of Disney's Return to Oz (which I personally love better as an Oz adaptation than MGM's movie; 2013's Oz the Great and Powerful was meh). Building design would be modeled after the new Fantasyland Forest Theatre in Tokyo.
âGerman restaurantâ: Table service.Â
Flight to Neverland: Would utilize the best aspects from each version of the ride. For example, I love that Shanghaiâs queue is themed to a London park (Kensington Gardens?), and the chimneys in Parisâs loading dock blow smoke. The building facade would definitely have a functioning clock tower, in homage to Big Ben, but designed to fit with the small town aesthetic. The name change is simply because I feel like guests actually take on the role of the Darling children more than they do Peter.
Little Nemo in Slumberland: Little Nemo may not be a Disney IP, but it has such rich and vibrant imagery, I think it could work really well as a Disney ride. Not to mention itâs in the public domain, so there shouldnât be any legal issues. In many ways itâs very similar to Peter Panâs Flight, so maybe it could also help balance the wait times between the two rides. Guests take on the role of Nemo and ride flying beds (or at least, benches that look like beds, with a headboard and a footboard) that soar out the bedroom window. What follows are awe-inspiring, almost surreal, scenes of Slumberland. Things start to distort and become chaotic as the dream turns into a nightmare. Before anything too awful happens, guests âwake upâ back in Nemoâs bedroom while the voice of Nemoâs mother scolds us for eating before bed. For visual reference, I recommend the Osamu Dezaki pilot film that was created during the movieâs development, though I obviously wouldnât put the giant Sauron eye in the ride.Â
Mr. Toadâs Wild Ride: Orlandoâs former double-track ride, but with Anaheimâs building exterior. I never got to experience this ride and I really want to.
Ever After Castle
Here it is, the traditional centerpiece of all Disney parks, now the centerpiece of Fantasyland instead. I personally think of most Disney castles as tall but not wide. This castle would be slightly different from the traditional Disney castle by taking up more ground space. I hate to sound blasphemous, but for this castle Iâm thinking of something similar to Shrekâs Far Far Away Castle in Universal Singapore but with more detailed ornate decorations like Parisâ castle, and the outer walls slightly covered in ivy vines for a more inviting, homely look. It would also stand on top of an elevated foundation, surrounded by a moat. There would be a large courtyard in front of the main castle building, with the carousel placed in the center of it. The gift shop and the meet-and-greet are each placed on either the west or east side of the courtyard. The north of the courtyard would feature the restaurant on the ground floor, the entrance to the underground boat ride, and stairs to the second floor attraction.Â
Cinderellaâs Carriage Carrousel: Regarding the visual design, I want it to look like the pumpkin carriage turned into a carousel. The canopy could include fiber optic fairy dust that lights up at night.
Be Our Guest Restaurant: French cuisine. I really like Tokyoâs Beauty and the Beast ride and would love to import it, but I respect the OLCâs exclusivity rights too much. I wondered if I could make it a combination ride and restaurant where each table is a ride vehicle, but I worried that would cause motion sickness which is a big no-no for a restaurant. At the very least, for my version I would love to have animatronics perform âBe Our Guestâ every 30 minutes or so. Also, perhaps every hour, Belle and Beast performers would come out onto the dance floor and invite guests to waltz with them. Hot Take: The Grey Stuff is very obviously a savory food as it is clearly presented on a tray of hors d'oeuvres in the movie. But since the version currently offered in the parks has been imprinted in fansâ minds I think itâs best to offer two versions: Savory (chicken liver pate) as an appetizer and Sweet (cookies and cream) as a dessert.
Royal Meet-and-Greet: I personally do not care much for meet and greets, but for the people that do, here you can meet the Princesses, some of the Princes, as well as non-Princesses such as Giselle, Esmeralda, and TinkerBell.Â
Kingdom Treasures gift shop: Based on the Tokyo shop of the same name.Â
Crystal Caverns Canal: Boat ride underneath the castle. My first idea for this ride was basically Voyage to the Crystal Grotto from Shanghai, if all the character statues were built out of crystals and mosaic tiles. Then I realized, thereâs probably too much IP already in the land, so I think there could be an original story about the crystals being a source of magic for the kingdom, and have scenes of wizards and fairies harvesting the crystals and creating experiments with them. Sort of a âtour of the workshopâ kind of ride. Iâm thinking of something with the same vibes as Dreamflight in Efteling.Â
Merlinâs Library / Yen Sidâs Library: Located on the second floor of the castle. Originally I wanted a ride in a similar vein to Symbolica in Efteling, but with a story like that of Mystic Manor in Hong Kong. Then I wondered if it would be feasible to have a ride in the second story, so Iâm also okay with this being a walkthrough attraction. I feel either wizard could work here. Merlin is the more well-known wizard, but Yen Sid is easier to create an original backstory for. The basic gist of the attraction is you wander around a library with little vignettes of magical items operating on their own; a quill pen writing by itself, a large spell book turning its own pages, floating books sorting themselves on the shelves, etc. There could even be some interactive elements, such as paintings that change, or opening a book can project a scene âcoming to lifeâ and âescapingâ the book.
Fairytale Gardens: Walkthrough garden. There would be lovely little vignettes scattered throughout, including Snow Whiteâs wishing well, a giant beanstalk, and The Sword in the Stone placed in a little alcove in the castleâs outer wall. This would be outside the courtyard. Maybe off to the side, to the west, wrapping around the outer castle wall, next to Shadowland Forest.
Shadowland Forest
Inspired by the Black Forest of Germany, this area features spookier attractions. West of the castle, shares the border with Mysteryland and the Gravity Falls area. There would be plenty of fir, spruce, and pine trees to make it feel like an actual forest, maybe even hide some of the attractions from view.Â
Snow Whiteâs Scary Adventures : Building facade would include the Evil Queen peeking out her window. I would place the building nearest to Storybook Town Square, at the edge of the forest.
âGingerbread Factory Tourâ : Based on my twisted Hansel and Gretel dark ride idea. Guests are given a tour of gingerbread golems at work (something like Tim Burtonâs version of Wonkaâs factory if it were more surreal and set in 1800s Germany), then are chased through obstacles, such as lollipop blades swinging from the walls, and peppermint stick darts, by Hansel and Gretel themselves. Theyâve been very distrustful of adults after their parents abandoned them in the woods, and after the witch held them captive. They deem the guests harmless, and let them go but warn them to never come back.
Candy Carnival shop: The ride would exit into a shop themed to a candy carnival safe haven that Hansel and Gretel built for children lost in the woods. Would feature gingerbread treats and a nice selection of old-fashioned candies and German sweets. Guests can also watch bakers and candymakers at work. (Despite the name, there are no actual rides here, just animatronic decorations.)
Dragon Mountain: I wanted a unique âMountainâ ride, much like how the Matterhorn and Everest are unique to their parks. And dragons are cool. Originally this was going to be based on Maleficent, but now Iâm leaning more towards an original story. And to put a neat spin on things, instead of a fire-breathing dragon, it would be a wintery ice dragon! I would also love it if the dragon was not portrayed as a mindless, violent beast hoarding treasure, but a parent protecting their child from intruders.
I initially wanted a sub-land recreating Halloween Town (with a spooky "Scare-ousel") but I felt Fantasyland was already overrun with too many IPs (and seven carousels is enough for one park), so here an area is set aside for seasonal Nightmare Before Christmas or Villains themed events, leaving the Haunted Mansion free during the holidays.Â
Disney Dreamland Railroad Fantasyland station: Styled after the ruins of a medieval castle. Located on the edge of the forest near Ever After Castle, next to the entrance to Winter Village.
Wonderland
East of the castle, on the border with Create-It-Land. While there would be plenty of natural green, there would also be an abundant mix of giant pink, purple, and turquoise âwildlifeâ, as seen in the initial scrapped concept art for Tokyoâs expansion. Giant mushrooms in place of benches, trees decorated with misleading signs, lamp posts that look like giant flowers. March Hare would definitely be included as a walk-around character alongside Hatter and Alice. People often forget the tea party took place at the Hareâs and mistakenly believe Hatter to be the host, and I will not stand for this March Hare erasure. I would also have plenty of card soldiers roaming around, âpatrollingâ the area.
Down the Rabbit-Hole: An upside-down funhouse with wonky mirrors, and trick doors galore! A hall of doors in the end would lead into the maze. I was thinking there could probably also be a madhouse ride portion where guests can experience the room actually turning upside down; inspired by Villa Volta in Efteling.Â
Wonderland Maze: As much as I like the Alice in Wonderland ride in Anaheim, I personally feel that Wonderland is a world that is best experienced up close and at your own pace, which a maze perfectly embodies. While the maze would obviously be themed to classic animated Alice like the Paris version, it would have different environments, like Shanghaiâs Tim Burton version. First half of the maze would be a forest-like environment with giant plants and singing flowers. Second half would have rose bushes, fancy iron fences, and carved stone walls and statues for the Queen of Heartâs castle area. There would be a handful of tiny doors scattered throughout that guests can crawl through as shortcuts. Among the character statues scattered around the maze, I really want to include the Mock-Turtle and Gryphon, based on their designs from the Jell-O commercial, perhaps on a sandy beach shore by a small fountain / pond.
House of Cards Banquet Hall: Inspired by the Queen of Hearts Banquet Hall in Tokyo. Would follow the same eccentric and colorful design scheme, but I want it to look like a stone castle made out of cards. Definitely would have lovely stained glass windows. Desserts include Royal Heart Tarts. They could also come in souvenir cups and plates like the ones found in Tokyo.
Mad Tea Party: Would have a canopy roof to protect from the weather and direct sunlight, but I also wouldnât mind a stained-glass version. Or even a canopy made of trees. Teacup designs would be a mix of various patterns from all versions (except Orlandoâs, I do not care for the zigzag scribbles). Would also include the giant teapot with the Dormouse in the center. To help with queue waits, Iâd even have two ride systems, much like how Orlando doubled their Dumbo ride. One could even be themed to the Hatter while the other to the March Hare.
March Hareâs tea shop: Would have the same building design as March Hare Refreshments in Paris. Would sell several varieties of tea, Unbirthday Cake, and macarons. Could also feature a long table with interactive tea things to play with, like Shanghai does at the end of its maze, and plenty of fancy chairs for photo-ops.
Mad Hatterâs hat shop: Hats, Mickey ears, and other headgear. To match the March Hareâs chimney ears, this building would resemble a large top hat. Would also feature hat racks for photo-ops, like Shanghai does at the end of its maze.
100 Acre Wood
East of Town Square, on the border with Create-It-Land. A tiny little area with tall trees providing shade, a lovely little Poohsticks Bridge over a small river, and a cozy corner for a meet-and-greet with Pooh and friends.
Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day: Basically the same as Poohâs Hunny Hunt in Tokyo, which includes the giant book facade, and the same level of crafted detail and technical marvel throughout the ride, but with scenes added for the ârain, rain, rainâ, and Poohâs hero party as the ending. I would also use Anaheimâs zany color scheme for the Heffalumps and Woozles room with some added special effects for even more zaniness. The rideâs name change is just to both set it apart from the other versions, and because I realized with the exception of Pooh stuck in the honey tree, all the iconic scenes in the ride come from Blustery Day.
Pooh Corner gift shop: Also utilizes the same English cottage look as Tokyoâs.
Hunny Smackerels snack stand: Hunny Pot cupcakes, honeycomb, honey ice cream, and a separate cart for honey popcorn in lovely Pooh-shaped popcorn buckets. It would be really cute if the stand is actually inside a giant tree trunk, with a dutch door counter window for guests to order from.Â
The next three sub-lands would be behind Ever After Castle, outside the perimeter of the railroad tracks border. The entrance to Winter Village is between Shadowland Forest and the castle, while the entrance to Encanto Valley is between Wonderland and the castle. Mermaid Lagoon is directly behind the castle, between the other two sub-lands and only accessible through them. Small mountains would form berms for each sub-land. For reference, think of how Grizzly Gulch, Mystic Point, and Toy Story Land are arranged in Hong Kong.
Winter Village
Inspired by my Narnia theme park concept. This entire mini-land would be indoors, to have air-conditioning to sell the illusion of winter, and to preserve the artificial winter setup from the real-life elements outdoors. This mini-land would be round (roughly) so that the glass ceiling that lets in natural light can have a hexagonal snowflake design. At night time thereâd be projections of Northern Lights. NOT Frozen themed. Itâs a cute movie and all, but far overstayed its welcome before it was even released on DVD. Village would be a mix of Russian and Scandinavian architecture. Can be used for a Santa Claus meet-and-greet during Christmas.
Enchanted Snow Palace: The planned but never built ride based on Hans Christian Andersenâs Snow Queen. The concept art looks leagues better than the final product of Frozen Ever After.
âWinter Sleigh Rideâ: Ride through winter scenery in sleighs pulled by reindeer. Technically a dark ride, since the entire subland is indoors, but feels like an outdoor ride.
"Snowball Arcade": I really wanted something to simulate snowball fights, but without the chaos and mess. Here, guests can throw snowballs at targets to win plush prizes.
"Russian cafe": Russian pastries and snacks
"Ice skating rink": Free if you bring your own skates.
Mermaid Lagoon
A scaled-down version of the land in Tokyo DisneySea, without the playground and kiddie rides. Like DisneySea, it would have a lovely seashell castle facade, with the attractions indoors. Unlike DisneySea, there would be a small lake in front with a ship restaurant docked on it.
âUnder the Seaâ: NOT a retelling of the movie, but instead an original story that would take place some time pre-movie. Follows Ariel on one of her outings as she explores the sea looking for new treasures to add to her collection. Final scene could be of Ariel in her grotto after completing her latest trip, but feeling unsatisfied as she wistfully looks at her collection, while instrumentals for âPart Of Your Worldâ softly play in the background.Â
King Tritonâs Concert Hall: Just like the one in Tokyo DisneySea, this would be a 360 degree show with Ariel âswimmingâ in midair above the audience, a giant animatronic Triton, performer puppets of Flounder and Sebastian, and other mixed special effects.Â
Undersea Carousel: Fish carousel. Underwater lighting effects and blows bubbles as it spins.Â
Arielâs Grotto gift shop
Ship restaurant: Mediterranean seafood. I mean, itâs on a human ship thatâs not technically in Tritonâs Kingdom, so I think this gets a pass for serving fish. It could even be themed to Chef Louis for a laugh.Â
âNighttime Water Showâ: Just spitballing an idea, maybe the lagoon could also be used for a nighttime water show a la Fantasmic / World of Color. The viewing area could be across the lagoon from Tritonâs castle; the lights of Tritonâs castle would coordinate with the show.
Encanto Valley
A lovely recreation of the valley, with Casita and a little village area for shops and Colombian dining, and plenty of lush greenery.Â
La Casa Madrigal: I really like @rrdcoocâs idea for Casita as a walkthrough attraction! Itâs so cool! Especially the ideas for Pepa and Luisa's rooms. I wouldnât change much, aside from adding a few extra touches, such as an interactive flower wall in Isabelaâs room that mimics guestsâ silhouettes (like Daniel Rozin's "Mechanical Mirrors"), and maybe a couple themed flat rides to add capacity, such as a flowery swing spinner ride in Isabelaâs room, and a tiny jungle animal carousel in Antonioâs room. In Dolores's room, guests can see sound waves (like that Magic School Bus episode), and Camilo's room can contain "mirrors" with different character models that mimic guests' movements in real time (like VTuber avatars). Also includes a gift shop selling âhomemadeâ fashions and plush toys by Mirabel.
âMagic Realism Art Exhibitâ: While I think the final movie is perfect, I would have loved it if Casita more closely resembled its concept art, which leaned much more heavily into magic realism. This attraction would be a walkthrough art exhibit full of giant optical illusion paintings that guests can pose in for photo-ops. For reference, Iâm recalling the Trick Eye Museum, a temporary art exhibit I went to years ago in Hong Kong.
Encanto Sing-Along: Iâm not always a huge fan of the âbook reportâ shows they do in the Parks, but in this case, most of Encantoâs songs are so specific to the story that removing them from the context of the movie wouldn't work (especially in the case of fan favorite âWe Donât Talk About Brunoâ). The stage can also be used for original Colombian performances, as well as from neighboring Latin American countries.
Julietaâs Arepas: Food cart. These arepas may not heal you, but theyâre magically delicious!Â
Arabian Oasis (scrapped)
Before Encanto was released and became one of my favorite recent movies, my initial idea was to put in an Aladdin-themed area. Not an exact recreation of Agrabah, more like a broad strokes version of Agrabah in the same manner as Arabian Coast in Tokyo DisneySea.
Magic Carpet Ride: A suspension ride in a similar manner as Peter Panâs Flight, using the carpet vehicles. Fly through the Agrabah marketplace, over the desert, and above the clouds. Ride music features instrumentals from âA Whole New Worldâ.
Scheherazadeâs Tales From the 1001 Nights: Stage show.
Flavors of Agrabah: Arabian / Middle-Eastern cuisineÂ
Cave of Wonders gift shop: I think the theming is appropriate considering guests are exchanging money for goods and not stealing them (ideally).

NE Vacation lets gooo
So I'm still really worn out but less than I ended up being yesterday so HERE is a post about the trip I just went on! It's gonna get real big and have a couple photos so I'll just go ahead and cut it here lol
-We went to visit family in Rhode Island...I have been to NYC a couple times but not any further north than that so anything in New England was a brand new experience. I was not a fan of the humidity (pretty arid here at home lol) but I like ocean and forest so I thought it was super pretty! I could not believe all the flowers and blue/purple hydrangeas EVERYWHERE
-We did fly in and out of Providence airport...but since it is super tiny we had to do connecting flights both ways. Wednesday last week we had to get up at 3 AM (after I had a full work day the day before) to get to the first plane, and on this Tuesday the layover between flights was REAL tight so both travel days were kind of brutal.
-ANYway, we ended up going to the Brimfield Antique Show in Massachussetts for two days. I don't think we covered a quarter of the show, we didn't expect it to be as enormous as it was. I ended up getting an antique inkwell shaped like a shell (it rotates on its stand), a metal dog, some vintage postcards (I love old landscape photos and interesting buildings), an old fan with a beautiful mountain painting on the front and a funeral home ad on the back (wtf lol), and a vintage travel guide to Rome with a lot of pictures but everything in Italian.
-Some other family from New York ended up coming with us to the antique show, as my aunt had rented a Vrbo (first time I've been in one) and there was plenty of room. One of those days we got takeout from a local restaurant and there was a machine in there dispensing pokemon cards for 50 cents...I thought "Sure why not" and got one - it ended up being a Dark Energy card instead of actually anything so I thought that was extremely funny
-We also went to Boston for a day - very pretty as well! I liked it way more than NYC to be honest. I had NO IDEA there were so many tunnels! Rained on us a ton though it cleared up by the time we did a bus tour. I am a big fan of brutalist architecture so I thought the one government building (the bus tour guide called it the Hurley building, I think) was REALLY cool. Wish I had gotten a picture of it but I was on the wrong side of the bus. Also: Bostonians, I am very sorry but your green line subway train makes possibly one of the worst sounds I've ever heard.
I thought the top of this building, whatever it was, looked very neat. Very art deco.
And this one with the dark windows forming triangle shapes. Not super exciting but I like this kind of thing
Can't forget about the gothic cathedral
Also spotted this cool unicorn at one point
-Uhh, what else did we do....after that we did actually do stuff in RI. Went to Ft Adams, went to Blithewold Manor, did a scenic ocean drive...I love how none of those Beachfront Home buying shows actually show the wild amount of traffic caused by people trying to get to the beach - parking whereever and blocking lanes constantly. I'd never live that close to the water to begin with as I'd be too afraid of flooding or my house falling in, but I had no idea how bad the traffic situation actually was. 8'D
-We did get a milkshake from Newport Creamery! I'm not normally a milkshake person but we tried them anyway and it was soooo good. Really enjoyed all the local chains in general.
-On the last day we did a lighthouse tour on a large catamaran and that was super awesome, I think it was one of my favorite parts of the trip. There was a Karen on our boat throwing multiple tantrums as the tour did not start fast enough for her liking but that just ended up being also extremely funny. The guy actually doing the tour was great and I'm actually quite curious about the history of the area, as I had no idea there were so many pirates o_o
This one boat moored near Ft Adams was rad af

New York Trip Pt 2: Koh gets Seasick
The flight over to New York was uneventful, Koh ended up falling asleep not long after they had taken off and even slept through the snack cart. Allie didnât wake him figuring it was for the best given the events of the morning. Koh did wake up during the descent and landing and once they were on the ground Koh felt his heartbeat return to a normal level. Once it was safe to get up they grabbed their bags and exited the plane heading to baggage claim to get the rest.
âLaura and John will be here in about ten minutes.â George informed everyone has he put away his phone. Aunt Laura and Uncle John would be picking them up from the airport and bringing them to hotel.
âI canât wait to show you New York.â Allie beamed with excitement as they walked. Koh was excited this was his first time away from Chicago visiting a new city. While Allieâs Aunt and Uncle lived outside of the city the family would be in the city for a few days.
After grabbing the bags, they headed outside where Aunt Laura and Uncle John pulled into the pickup area. Quickly exchanging hellos and hugs as they loaded the trunk, and everyone piled in. The car was a bit tight with everyone in, but they made it work.
âItâs so nice to finally meet you Koh! Weâve heard so much about you.â Aunt Laura greeted him from the passenger seat as Uncle John drove.
âItâs nice to meet you guys.â The drive to the hotel was spent catching up and just being so happy to finally see them after so many years. They went through the plans for the next few days which all sounded great. Once the plans were the Staten Island Ferry to see the Statue of Liberty. Another new experience being on a boat!
The hotel Allie and her family were staying at was around the corner from Allieâs favorite park, Bryant Park. There were shops and food and the New York Public library.
âAfter you help us get the bags to the room you can go Allie.â Her dad told her as they entered the lobby. Koh had no idea what all was around him and was just taking everything in. They checked into their rooms and headed up, the âkidsâ as dad called them would be in one room while the parents would be in the other. Allie unpacked her bag and made sure she had everything.
âWeâll be back!â Taking Kohâs hand and right back out the door and to the sidewalk. The walk was literally around the corner. Showing Koh everything, they grabbed some lunch at one of the shops and sat in the park taking in the beautiful day. It wasnât overwhelming hot either which was nice. Koh loved seeing how excited Allie was to finally be showing him all of her favorite spots.
When they booked the trip she begged her dad to let Koh come along and when he agreed she had told him everything they would do together. After all it was the last trip they would take before starting college in the fall.
After showing Koh Bryant Park and the library and a few other shops the two headed back to get ready for dinner with Aunt Laura, Uncle John, and Allieâs cousins. Despite the events from the morning Koh was feeling great he was happy and smiling to be on vacation for the first time in a long time.
The restaurant they went to was an Italian Place just off Times Square since they had a larger party they were seated in the basement which was so cool to Koh. Heading downstairs he met Connor and James who both greeted Koh and the rest of the family with a hug. Everyone sat down and began talking and ordered appetizers.
âExcited for the Ferry Koh?â Connor asked. Mom tells us youâve never been on one.â
âYeah, we were talking about in the car on the way from the airport. Iâve never been on a boat; Chicago has its own ferry too but when you live there you usually donât take it. More for tourists.â Koh explained.
âI gotcha, yeah this one takes you to the statue of Liberty so thatâll be cool for you guys.â
âIâve never been on it either.â Allie added.
âReally? I thought you went when you were young.â James added. Allie shook her head.
âNope, we were supposed to go but the weather was bad, and they closed it, never went.â She informed them.
âWell then, itâll be an experience for you both.â
And boy would it be.
The next morning everyone got up and headed down to breakfast before taking a car to the ferry port. The drive took a little while cause of traffic, but it was great seeing the city as they drove. Koh was like a little kid looking out the window taking everything in. The weather was perfect, there was a slight breeze, but the sun was out. Perfect day to go out on the water.
Pulling into the port area the rest of the family were waiting. Out in the distance you could see the statue.
âMorning! Ready to go?â Uncle John greeted and led the way up the ramp to the ferry.
It was a lot bigger than Koh expected there were outside and inside seating. Opting for the outside sitting and standing the family headed over. At 11:30 the boat departed heading towards statue. Koh didnât know what to expect as far as the ride he figured the bigger the boat the soother the ride and while he wasnât wrong the ride was smooth he was feeling a little unsteady.
Koh held onto the railing and made the mistake of looking down watching the water crash onto the boat made the unsteady feeling rocket into a queasy feeling. Koh squeezed his eyes shut to settle himself, but it only made the queasy feeling worse. His breakfast was sloshing in his stomach like the water below. Koh remembered glancing out into the horizon helped, least it would have if not for a voice calling his name. James walked over to him.
âCool right, forgot how fun this was.â Koh nodded afraid that if he opened his mouth more than just words would come out. James made his way over to Connor and his parents as he looked around for Allie who was smiling and taking pictures with her siblings.
Did he trust his stomach enough to walk over there? Or was it safer staying where he was? After giving himself a minute, he felt less nauseous and walked over to the back of the ferry.
âHi!â Allie greeted. Giving him a kiss on his cheek. He felt clammy. âYou okay?â She asked. Koh nodded. She pulled her phone out grabbing a selfie Koh wanted to not look so miserable, so he attempted a smile. Standing in the middle of the boat wasnât a good idea. He was getting his sea legs but not in the way he wanted. He felt a burp rise up and was quick to stifling it as a splash of stomach contents hit his throat. Maybe going back to the railing was a better idea. Allie headed over to her aunt and uncle as Koh mad a quick dash back over to the side of the boat. Far enough away no one could see him.
Gripping the railing Koh heaved hard but nothing came up. His belly was sloshing, and he felt so dizzy. Taking several deep breathes to quell the nausea, he let up several sick belches each one brining him closer and closer to his breakfast coming up. Thatâs what he wanted? Let him be sick get it over with and all will be fine.
He spent the next several minutes bringing up wet belches, getting closer and closer to the end goal. He could feel it, like something was stuck but with each sick sounding burp the contents were rising. Finally, after what felt like entirely way too long Koh burped which turned into a gag as a wave of undigested breakfast spilled out of him down into the water. Koh pressed his tummy into the rail as more vomit escaped. He felt wrung, his head hurt and was so dizzy if not for the rail he would have fallen over.
An announcer over the speaker informed passengers they would be docking in ten minutes. Despite getting what he wanted the act of throwing up left Koh worse for wear. He was shaky, sweaty, and somehow managed to get a bit of puke on his shirt. Still holding onto the railing, he needed Allie, not sure what all she could do but at least provide him some comfort. Pulling his phone out and texting her to come.
Allie rounded the corner.
âOh baby.â Her soft soothing voice made him want to cry. He felt terrible, not just cause of the boat but for ruining this.
âIâm sorry, I didnât know I got seasick.â Koh whimpered a few tears falling down his pale cheeks.
âItâs okay, are you okay? Or do you still feel sick?â Allie rubbed his lower back. His stomach hurt from vomiting, and he still felt so nauseous.
âStill feel sick, Iâm dizzy and-âKoh was cut off but a belch turned gag as another small bit of bile came up. Allie pulled out some tissues she kept with her wiping her boyfriendâs face.
âWeâre almost there, do you wanna get off walk around or do you wanna stay on and just lay down somewhere?â Allie asked. Koh didnât know. He didnât want Allie to miss out on this but also didnât want to be left alone.
âI think getting off might help, but we have to go back the same way?â Allie nodded.
âDo you think youâll be okay?â Koh didnât know. He didnât feel okay right now and it would probably be a while before he felt better.
The boat docked and Allie was able to clean up the spot of Kohâs shirt with some wet paper towels. Getting off the boat Koh swayed and just wanted to lay down on the ground. With Allieâs help she guided him to land, and they took their time. Urging her family to go on a head and they would catch up.
Even though they were on land the motion of the boat still had a grip on Koh, his stomach felt sloshy, but the breeze felt good. Koh was sweating no doubt his cheeks were red against his pale skin. Allie and he walked a bit and made it inside the Statute it was pretty cool to be in and a good distraction from how he was feeling. Koh was not looking forward to the ride back but for the time being he would enjoy spending it with Allie.
The ferries operated every 30 minutes, and their self-guided tour was just a little over 45 so it would be an hour before getting back on the boat. Walking around and seeing everything did help calm Kohâs stomach down and eventually the rocking sensation went away.
When the tour was over they spent some time outside waiting for the ferry. Koh was not looking forward to the ride back hoping it wouldnât be as bad since he felt pretty empty, but his stomach always liked to surprise him.
âDo you want a bag?â Allie asked quietly as they made their way back on.
âProbably wouldnât hurt.â They headed back over to the side of the boat with a brown paper bag in hand. As the ferry began to move Koh closed his eyes letting the breeze and smell of saltwater try to keep things at bay. The rocking and swaying ultimately was the cause for the queasy feeling to start. Kohâs skin changed right before Allieâs eyes he opened his eyes, crossing his wrists over each other on the rail and looking down. Allieâs hand was on Kohâs lower back rubbing soothing circles. He retched a few times hard just bit of bile dribbled out.
âUgh this sucks.â Koh spit onto the floor. âIâm so nauseous.â Trying to reposition himself to rest his head on the rail and look out towards the horizon. âHow much longer?â
âAt least twenty minutes.â Koh groaned. He didnât know what was worse, throwing up or having nothing left but still feeling sick.
âWhy donât we go inside you lay on my lap.â
âThink laying down will make it worse, just need to get off this stupid boat.â Koh belched again and spit into the water below. âItâs the rocking, doesnât feel good on my stomach. Why do boats shake so much?â Koh retched and brought up more than just bile, pure liquid shot out of his mouth and nose he coughed harshly. Allie couldnât do much but just provide comfort.
âFocus on breathing.â She reminded him. Kohâs head was pounding there was so much pressure making him feel even more nauseous.
The boat docked after what felt like an eternity of rocking and swaying Koh managed to not puke the last ten minutes but the sudden movement to get off the boat had him wanting to hurl his guts up.
âWhere have you guys been?â Dad asked as Koh attempted to quickly get off the boat. Everything was moving too fast, and Connor caught Koh as he nearly tripped trying to leave.
âTurns out Koh gets seasick.â Allie told them. With the help of Connor, they got Koh off the boat and seated on a bench while Ben went to grab some water.
âYou threw up on the ship?â Chloe asked standing a few feet away from Koh. He was shaking so bad, and his complexion had gone from pale to white.
âIâve got a car coming to take you two back to the hotel, when youâre feeling up for it Koh just let us know and weâll meet up.â Koh nodded the water felt good on his throat but felt heavy in his belly. He rested his head on Allieâs shoulder but soon the car came to pick them up. Helping Koh up and over to the car.
âThanks dad, Iâll text you later.â Getting situated in the backseat Koh went back to resting his head on Allie. Running her fingers through his head and eventually he fell asleep. Pulling in front of the hotel, Allie felt bad waking Koh up, he looked finally at peace. She nudged him, his lips felt dry and his head still heavy.
âWeâre at the hotel, letâs get you showered and into bed.â Koh did his best to get out of the car still feeling the effects of the boat. Allie helped him in and up to the room, Koh went to sit in the arm chair while Allie got the shower ready.
Thirty minutes later Koh was cleaned and dressed in comfy clothes as the two settled into bed for a few hours.
âIâm sorry if I ruined today.â Koh said quietly as he laid on Allieâs chest.
âYou didnât, okay, once you got off the boat and we did the tour I had a great time. Got so many pictures. So please donât think you ruined today. Itâs early enough you can take a nap and then weâll meet up with everyone.â Koh nodded.
âNo more boats, though. Iâll take a plane over a boat.â Kohâs voice was deep, showcasing how tired he was.
âNo more boats.â She kissed his forehead and lulled him to sleep.
