Of the original five X-Men, I'm probably most similar to Beast and Cyclops. But since I tend to write so much, let's just focus on Cyclops for now. Cyclops really is just me as a student (I may be generalizing, but it's mostly true). I've always been cripplingly shy and antisocial at school (or around anyone that isn't my dad), and I naturally gravitate towards liking the teachers. I tend to treat school like a place of learning, and not a place for socializing or goofing off. That's just not who I am, I guess (even now I have this problem, but I might be working on the crippling antisocial stuff. Idk).
Anyways, I haven't read the original X-Men stories in a while, but I'm pretty sure Scott embodied a lot of those same traits. He was the team's leader (or field leader if we're counting Professor X) and he was very much considered a stick in the mud, I think. He was closer to the professor than some of the others, and stuff. It's pretty relatable (if I'm remembering it all right, of course). So yeah, I'd say I'm pretty similar to Scott.
HEADCANON TIME!!! Do you have any headcanons about their outfits or what you would like them to wear? On theme with the new island of course. What do you think ?
hold up... do we already know what theme the next island will have? wait... it might be winter right?
(though, I think the cold weather was caused by the
So, something warm?
Hold up!... can't be because they are going to wear a wedding dress and a tuxedo. And it would be good if they don't freeze to death if they do. 🤔
Okay but Robins black dress and Franky in a tux but instead of a jacket he wears a Hawaii shirt?
It's like we all collectively forgot as a society that friendship and just connection in general takes effort. Even if you meet someone you immediately click with, it takes hanging out about 20 times (!) to become friends. And guess what, some of those 20 meetings might be awkward or unimpressive.
We all want to reap the benefits (having a friend circle, having a partner, getting married) without doing the work (going to events, interacting with people, learning to handle conflict maturely, dating). Myself included. If I could, I'd never leave the house or go on another mediocre date again... except, that's part of the process.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, the cure to the loneliness epidemic is touching some grass and building tolerance for tedious in-person interactions.
The way most turtles actually fit into their shells is because their arms and legs are shaped to fit into the loose skin around the openings for their limbs, but on account of their human proportions, I just suspend my disbelief as to how mutant turtles could fit in their shells without the odd configuration to their organs that real turtles have. Real turtles have flat lungs that sit widely along their carapace, which is weird but cool. Turtles shed their scutes (the large flat scales on their shells and plastron) about once a year or if the scutes are damaged. The scutes have barely any skin between them and the bone, which is why turtle skeletons usually have the scutes on still, though they can pop off. The rest of the skin sheds regularly though, instead of in large patches.
For the brothers’, their respiration is much more human than turtle. Therefore, their lungs need to expand and contract with their diaphragm rather than just with their movement, so therefore they must have some flexibility to their chest. Some turtles, like box turtles, already have hinged plastrons, and softshell shells are mostly cartilage, so it’s not too far off to assume that there’s a bit of cartilage just to the upper plastral bones of the hard shelled brothers to give their humanoid lungs room to breathe.
Poor Leo. After the movie, one could assume he’s got a couple broken bones. It kind of made me morbidly curious as to how to describe injuries on a character whose skeletal structure is quite different from a human’s for my own writing!
Feel free to use as reference or disregard, these are just my own little speculations :)
i may or may not be planning a fic where one of the many subplots is that Jason (as Red Hood, but Danny already knows) is following/investigating Danny because he thinks Danny’s dangerous somehow. I won’t go into the details because it’s so much, but point is i have a silly little scene in my head wherein Danny goes out to work on a uni group project with Tim, and on their way to the cafe some asshole car hits a guy on a motorcycle. The Biker goes into a rage and starts cursing him out, takes off his helmet and lo and behold it’s Jason.
Mid-verbal fight with the asshole he catches sight of Tim (recording the whole thing and waving at Jason) and of Danny (potential danger he’s been investigating for nearly two weeks), and Jason gives the asshole a “this isn’t over” threat and dips. Then,
Tim, who noticed Danny’s reaction: You know that guy?
Danny: Oh, yeah, that’s my stalker. You?
Tim: Nemesis. I’m sorry he’s your what?
Bonus:
Tim texting Jason: are you stalking my classmate??
Jason: Mind your own business, Replacement.
Jason: Wait, did he tell you that?
Tim: yah
Jason: RH’s been investigating him. Why the FUCK does your “classmate” think it’s me?
Tim: dick is gonna love this. the great rh has a containment breach
Jason: DON’T YOU FUCKING DARE TELL HIM REPLACEMENT
HII!! I LOVE YOUR WORK SO MUCH <33 So, I know Mycheal is asexual but people are asexual for many reasons. What is the reason for Mycheal being asexual?
