I'm not fully sure! On one hand I think it'd be pretty funny for Jon to still have the Eye but on the other hand a lot of my random hcs makes sense without it.

I think the fears do exist but they've been reduced to the equivalent of hatchlings. Baby fears, not strong enough to really do anything disastrous for a few centuries. Jon still serves the eye to some degree, but his connection is pretty tenuous and nowhere near as strong as it used to be. Remnants

Fanfic prompt : A thing many people tend to kinda ignore about Ravio and link is how they are essentially the same person from parallel realities

And that got me thinking if they are the same person is there another reason for why Lana just took one of them

So what if the only reason they can exist in the same place is because of the way lorule and hyrule react to eachother

Like if the Portal that Hilda summoned kept both realities combined in some way then technically they would not be the same person in one realm

Until the gate fully closes

Then it would probably go break the rules of reality because one person couldn’t exist twice in one single reality

So what if when linked universe happens legend and Ravio go together

But because the rest of the timeline doesn’t include a gate to lorule they kinda collapsed into each other

In order to make them one entity who can exist in the other Hyrules

One of them simply gets beamed into nothing and gets to watch from the other's eyes in a kinda of nothingness state

Because the easiest way to fix a paradox is to remove one equation

They can simply not exist in the same reality at the same time one has to go

Is infinitely easier than “technically because both lorule and hyrule are combined they are both still in their own realm until the mirroring realms are not connected which is when things get complicated”

So while the chain all ended up in the same place legend just spawned next to them looked at his hands then around and then proceeded to have a mental breakdown over Ravio being stuck in his head

It was an interesting first impression to say the least

Then over the next few weeks legend and Ravio try to figure out stuff while Ravio looking through the eyes he isn’t in his mind and he cannot hear legend's thoughts so legend unfortunately has to speak out loud to be heard

So now with a group of people he kinda has to quietly talk about what is happening when he really would rather scream indefinitely

It is even worse that Ravio wants to see wars and the others and interact with them WHILE they both have no idea how to deal with this weird situation

Until they realize that they can switch their positions and make Ravio be there while link is in the background nonexistent

But the thing is they have no idea how to tell people where legend went…

So they pull a Wolfie twilight move and conveniently appear when the other disappears from existence to do something

But that probably seems more suspicious but hey ,at least Ravio gets to see his friends again

The chain meanwhile is genuinely curious about the enigma that is legend because while freaking out about eight other people all named link is totally acceptable and even surprising that nobody else has overreacted when that happened

But talking to yourself and having complete one sided conversations with yourself (four had a suspicion that moment)

Also looking into a mirror and telling yourself that you look beautiful while looking like you want to cry (then they proceeded to make the wrong conclusion and think legend's self worth is nonexistent…it is but that’s not why he is crying over his reflection)

Ravio is in a similar predicament but he in comparison to legend gives the vibes of a very self centered narcissist when he tells himself in any surface known to man that he is good looking today and literally never drops his ridiculous purple bunny-eared mirror (made for this very occasion) even in his sleep

if not for legend being a mess nobody even assumed that any parallel self stuff is happening when Ravio proudly announced he was married they thought it is another Ravio eccentric … then failed to explain how he isn’t married to himself.. when he really IS

Four meanwhile kept trying to figure out if legend is also capable of splitting

And literally just went through it when they arrived in legend's hyrule and legend kinda spawned next to legend and they hugged each other (first hug after like weeks of not being capable of interacting with each other in meaningful ways lol)

Four then totally got the feeling of not being capable of interacting with the colors (even funnier with jojo's four swords link specifically as the colors are kinda just split into different parts of four but four nonetheless)

But also couldn’t really understand how Ravio and legend can look completely like themselves when combined

Then he proceeded to stick his nose in (Vio style) be a problem

And be the first to find out the mess thinking that he actually was interacting with a successor of the four sword… not an amalgamation of two different yet same people who have completely different lives

Like this angle is a bit worse than the four sword situation (even when the four swords palace drama was revealed on accident)

But also when the chain ended up finding out the interactions were pretty much awkward at first because legend and Ravio just up and go keep changing from on to another when they specifically wanted to both speak with someone

Wars hearing gossip from Ravio while legend keeps beaming in to throw his five cents in (or have Ravio interpreted every bit of banter legend throws in by himself without legend pushing him out for just pettiness)

Ravio be like : “then I was like-by the way legend thinks your hair isn’t pristine enough-*proceeds to continue with gossip totally not trying to scam wars”

While wars is just sitting there like : :o

And getting really worked up over his hair because Ravio definitely toned it down Legend would never call his hair pristine so what the hell did legend call his hair instead

I was thinking up some dark world forms for the lu cast and came up with some good ones plus backstory and reasons supporting my choices

I wanted to keep them all as mammals for the continuity (legends bunny and twi's wolf are both mammals) and its just easier to create limitations for myself to be more creative!

((and i tried to pick animals that existed in their original games,

But some games ( zelda I & II, I'm looking at you ) didn't really have any passive animals to choose from, so i'm following this rule only for some/most of them))

here are the results: ( warning: very long)

Twilight:

Wolf

(kinda obvious, no explanation needed)

Legend:

Pink rabbit/hare (he seems more rabbit/hare then bunny in my mind?) but i thought, what if i had to choose a realistic animal?

I think he would still be a rabbit, but an albino rabbit, his eyes red and with white fur, at least thin enough that you can notice a little pink from his skin to have a slightly visible pink-ish hue.

Time:

(ghost?) Wolf; i think being a ghost wolf after death, he probably still have the same form when he was alive too?

he never uses it in any game he's in (like Oot or Mm) other then Twilight Princess (taking place after he died)

I couldn't find any better leads or clues suggesting any other form, so I'll stick with this, maybe for a realistic animal he would be some kind of like timber wolf ( just a big kind of wolf) that is a golden/ light brown colour with white underbelly.

Hyrule:

(the idea that created this list in the first place...)

Sheep!; the sheep would have brown wool like Rulies hair, (my hc is his hair is curly, or at least wavy, like a sheep, but anyway) he's innocent and quiet like a sheep, and the main selling point: the blood of a lamb. Lambs blood was often used in (very) olden times, on an altor as offerings to God.

(also link in these games was originally religious ( specifically Christian), and the lamb is a religious symbol( Christian at least))

Hyrules blood is sought after by Ganons underlings as a way to resurrect Ganon, using hyrules blood as an offering / way to resurrect ganon, the reincarnation of a god, in a ceremony on an altor.

Wind:

Winds animal was a harder one to choose because there arent much mammals in his games, other than the ones you dont see but are mentioned or hinted at existing still even after the great flood.

Cats, think about it, he makes those cat meowing noises when hes stalking that girl at night in Wind Waker., so they must exist for him to know what meowing is ( there might actually already be a cat in one of his games but i never played phantom hourglass (😭) and haven't seen any in my playthroughs of Wind Waker)

Supporting facts to back up my reasoning: He was taking a nap during the day, even if it was his birthday. Big black eyes that are vaguely cat-like, and just the generally goofy feeling i get from him in-game and especially LU. ( HES SO SILLY AND CUTE AND AAA-)

Wild:

Highland Fox; sometimes people chose a deer for his dark world animal form, while i think it fits, i wanted his form to have more resemblance to Wolfie (who is in Botw, as a companion) sort of a cool representation of his mentor/guide?

Foxes and distinct enough but also close enough to fit the bill of 'close enough' (and foxes are more on the dog/wolf side than cat side, apparently)

Also, highland foxes exist in Botw + Totk, and the bright orange of their fur is similar to Wilds blonde hair, in its bright, almost unnatural boldness, opposite the lush green of the landscape.

Warriors:

Lion; fights in groups, lion mane is like his blue scarf, golden fur is like his hair, you know that like personified stereotype that lions are egotistical and self centeredness? reminded me of him.

sorry for the short answer, i don't know much about Wars, never played *any* of his games (😭😭😭) so I'm just going of LU, and the majority of what people portray him as in the fandom ( I DON'T OWN ANY OF HIS GAMES NOOO-)

Sky:

Remlet; Sky seems to like them, their native to his home, Skyloft, and they nap all day. They are cute and cheerful, and when their angry, they can be vicious and frightening, like Sky.

Realistic animal: Siamese, they share lots of similarities with remlets, their light brown and dark chocolate fur match and the bright round eyes are identical to a remlets.

Four:

i would've chosen Picori, but thats not really an animal, thats a whole race of small centient beings! so I'll have to go with a chipmunk.

Small, lives in forestry, multiple different colours, has a tail like minish, dexterous small hands good for holding things, smart, agile, and similar in shape to Minish.

Dark world forms for the bois

So i have some ideas for some of the rest of the boys but i have no idea what to pick for some of them

I would also like to hear other people's opinions

Four:

ive seen a lot of cat, and i see it, im just not really sure about it, i quite like the idea of hummingbird four, especially since someone in the lu discord said that hummingbirds just break physics and four's soul is kinda broken into four

Time:

So, i see a lot of people saying time would be an owl, or eagle, and i quite like the idea of him being a big bird, it fits, i just dont know which one he should be. Tine does have the golden wolf in TP but that could just be a form he can take on as a ghost, not the form he would be in the dark world (also, i want everyone to kinda be a different animal to make it more intresting)

Warriors:

Ive seen a few various stuff but one that sticks out to me is unicorn, out of this world. Also fits since warrior's game doesnt fit into the timeline and is non canon in the loz universe. However that kinda reflects his game and not himself. Tbh, i hardly know anything about his character

Wind:

People say he would be a seagull, but im not really sure. Also i don't want there to be too many who are birds, like two maximum (which i see most for four and time) he would be an animal to do with the sea but i just do not know what he could be (and i do not wanna make him a fish because if he transforms on land 0.0)

Also the question arrises of who would keep their clothes in their dark world form? Because Leg keeps his but Twi doesnt

Ive drawn wolfie and bunny legend, and ive already talked about blupee fox wild and remlit sky. Im also pretty sure about hyrule and i will draw it, all which you can see on my blog.

Im hoping to make a lineup of all the bois' dark world forms so i need ideas

writing chapter three in wind’s point of view, which is actually kind of fun so far. his big brother instincts are going off something fierce, too, and you can bet he’ll be big-brothering legend the moment he lets him. for now, though, he’s aware he needs to stay back and let lege come to him at his own pace- unlike twilight, who’s going to have trouble holding back his own older-sibling instincts. (can you blame him, though? baby legend is just so small and tiny and cute and in need of so many cuddles-)

Wars will also be getting time to bond with tiny!legend, but that won’t come until way later (you know, due to all the knight trauma)
