A Chillie Afternoon

OK, the carefully crafted plan that Millie had put together was working perfectly, Louise was CLEARLY confused as to why she was no longer following her around like before and it was OBVIOUSLY pissing her off that Millie was hanging out with her rival, Chloe.

…Chloe… she was an interesting turn of events if she does say so herself. They had been hanging out for the better of what was two weeks and so far Millie was… pleased? To know that they weren’t that different. Ever since the ginger haired girl had agreed to work together to piss off Louise they has been hanging out one on one more, to keep up appearances obviously.

Like today, for example, they were having a sleepover at Chloe’s house and they made sure that everyone in school knew (get the rumour mill going so that it reaches the right ears and all that jazz). It was really a simple thing, Millie didn’t think much of it. They would probably watch some stupid TV show that Chloe liked and call it a night, and she was fine with that, truly. I mean there is no need to drag on something that is only for convenience after all.

“It’ll be worth it to see Louise’s jealous face… yeah. Soon she’ll be all about our friendship, as it always should have been.” Millie mutters to herself, playing with her hair excitedly.

She is quickly drawn out of her thoughts when a certain girl opens the door in front of her. Chloe stands there, already in her pjs, they are pink and have stars all over them. ‘Uh… kinda cute- I MEAN COOL’ she quickly erases the thought from her brain, it was just her mind being stupid yet again.

“Oh hey, come on in. My dad has just finished putting all the snacks on the table so we can get right into it. As soon as you get dressed and all that.”

Millie nods and goes in, she makes her way into the other girl’s room, already having memorised it from the last visits they have had. Its and odd feeling, knowing where everything in the house is without having to stalk around and do it in a way so that other people don’t notice you. She can’t quite put her finger on the feeling that it brings her but Millie chalks it down as ‘I’m just not used to having my work be so easy and my brain is adapting’… yeah that made enough sense.

After some talking, she finally changes into her sleepwear. It was a limited edition Pixie Princess set that she was extremely fond of, she had worked her butt off during one of the promenades to earn it and by gods she was gonna wear it.

“Oh is that from the Pixie Princess Promenade? I used to love doing it, but I got enough wands to last me a life time so I don’t do it anymore.”

Millie turns her head at that, she was NOT expecting Miss Cool Girl to have known or even LIKE that kind of stuff… Louise certainly didn’t and made her opinions on it very clear. She simply nodded as they made their way to the living room.

“Oh yeah I love participating in it. Been going for years now actually, my goal is to have every single wand they have to offer, possibly have dupes of my favourite ones. It’s a lifestyle really.”

To her surprise Chloe laughs at that, nodding her head as if she somehow could understand her love for Pixie Princess Promenade and understand how important it was for her. Tch, as if.

They sat down on the couch, the really comfortable couch where Millie could definitely fall asleep in but she wouldn’t because she needed to keep her guard up, there was no way of knowing what Chloe could be really trying to do by inviting her over to her house, maybe she was just planning on humiliating her to the whole school after gaining her trust. Which she could respect but also there was no way she would give her the chance to even try.

The sleepover was actually was going great, at least that’s what Millie thought, everything that was supposed to happen had happened (according to the many, many movies and books she has seen and read). So it came as somewhat of a surprise when Chloe offered to braid her hair out of seemingly nowhere.

“Uh, sure? Why do you want to do that though? My hair is not exactly easy to work with you know?”

“Oh yeah I know, it’s for uh… maintenance. Tomorrow you won’t have time to properly take care it and I can’t show up next to you if you look messy, it’ll ruin my whole image” Chloe shrugs “Besides it’ll be good for me to train on how to braid on other types of hair, might make me more popular, who knows.”

And that’s how she ends up with two very intricate braids on her head and yet another weird feeling in her chest. The latter one she promptly chooses to ignore for the sake of them going to bed, she just wanted the day to be over so that she could go home and start thinking straight again.

As the next morning approached Millie, as usual, was the first one to wake up and fully get ready for the day. As she got up to the bathroom mirror she took in her braids once more, carefully running her fingers though them… why did the memory of Chloe braiding her hair yesterday make her face feel warm? Why did she feel so relaxed having her head in someone else’s hands like that? UGH she was going crazy and it was all beginning to be too much, she just wanted to get to school so that she could at least focus on something else for a little.

She left the braids on her head, it did look good after all and maybe it would get Louise to notice her or something.

“Oh, you left them on! I’m glad you appreciate my work.” She laughs as she adjusts her school bag “Are you ready to go? We have to leave a bit early today ‘cause my mom needs to run some errands.”

And that’s how they leave the house, Chloe talking about some new trend she wants to try and how she found this new product that will leave her hair even shinier and better smelling. And Millie, clutching at her backpack straps because the weird, warm and nagging feeling on her chest and the red on her cheeks just won’t leave her alone it seems.

It’s less about “competitive viability” and more because she just appreciates brewing highly interactive spell-slinger stuff. 

Has a pet Narset extra turns deck. You cannot convince me otherwise. When it pops off, she definitely excitedly texts Chloe about being “a time master in AND out of game���.

The only person on Earth I would smile at and encourage after I hear the phrase “I cast Expropriate for free. Responses?” 

One of those “I’m addicted to R/U please God help me break out of this archetype” people but is somehow adorkable about it

Chloe Price

Very much loves jank. Something about the “isle of broken toys” triumphing against whatever monstrosity everyone else brought really appeals to her. 

Loves the idea of certain archetypes, but as long as a given list guarantees that she’s playing lots of cards and doing lots of things on her turns, she’ll mainly just build whatever she thinks is cool. 

As a result, Chloe has run Yuriko and Beckett Brass decks in the past. 

“Come on Max, did you really think I’d pass up being able to beat you all with pirates? You already know I'm ALL over that. Ninjas are hella awesome too.” 

It doesn’t hurt that Yuriko can wipe the floor with everyone if they aren’t careful.

Doesn’t gravitate towards a specific color or color combo but plays aggressively in whatever flavor she finds appealing. 

And I do mean AGGRESSIVELY. Chloe loves the serotonin rush of slapping a ton of guys down and then turning them all sideways even if it leaves her open to dying in the next few turns. 

Even if she doesn’t take things super seriously, she will definitely high-key target you in the next game if you fucked her over in the previous one. 

Kate Marsh

Kate took some convincing that Magic wasn’t some weird ritual since her parents almost certainly forbade her from even learning about it as a kid and filled her head with satanic panic BS.

Once she actually sat in on a game or two (and after Max showed her Rin and Seri), she was able to set her compunctions aside and will show up to game night when her schedule allows.

in the same way Chloe builds what she thinks is cool, Kate definitely builds what she thinks is cute. (*cough* Kwain *cough*)

The first deck she built on her own was almost certainly Jinnie Fay go-wide.

Will cry inside (and honestly maybe a few tears escape on the outside.) if you board wipe. Not because her board presence is gone and she’ll need to rebuild but because you just killed Molly, Holly, Taylor, and every other token she’d given a loving name. 

Warren Graham

Is THAT combo player. An absolute menace. What else were you expecting?

Maybe it’s just my bias against Warren showing here, but he’s definitely the kind of guy who goes “Oops! I win!” out of nowhere after just playing solitaire in the background for 5-6 turns to set up. 

Still keeps some lower power stuff around in case people get too upset about it though.

Much like Chloe, doesn’t really have a preferred color combo. Unlike Chloe, he builds whatever he can optimize to a disgusting degree. 

Usually wins game 1 pretty easily unless Max stops him but going into game 2 understands that he’s consigned himself to playing archenemy for the rest of the night. 

His pet card is probably fuckin’ mana drain or panharmonicon or some shit idk.

This time, her roll of eyes isn't quite so dramatic as she's readjusting her dress and Bunny still chuckles about Felix. "He's not nice but that's why he's hot. All that sarcasm just makes me wanna grab his face." she says with a little kick to her words, one last admiring in the mirror before her and her cousin are set to leave. She gives Chloe a pointed look. "You were pining, babe. And it was a total buzzkill. Like, I get it, Jakob is literally adorbs. Love him. So cute. But, he's not worth depression." she taps Chloe's nose in a show of support. "I'm so glad you're over him."

A sly grin works it's way over Bunny's lips as Chloe gushes, but pretends not to, over the St. James literal slab of meat cock. "He wouldn't mind if you did. Noah's got all that kinda angry energy, I bet he's like raring to go in bed." she continues, regardless of the other witch's protests. A little huff leaves her about Josh, Bunny rolling her eyes again. "Keep him away from me, more like. He was so fucking handsy, like ew." her words carry with a determined flare as her and Chloe weave through the party, but Bunny sees it too. The unmissable wolf and witch duo. bunny has an effortless but particular humor, one that brings a laugh straight out of chloe even if her love life has found it's way as the topic of discussion. 'oh my god, stop!' she laughs in both amusement and embarrassment. 'i've had a bunch of dates, thanks!' the belcourt insists, and it isn't a lie. even if she hides the fact that they never get further than one or two before she panics, convinced if jakob sees her with someone else then the door will close completely. 'new york is just a cesspool for dating, bun.' chloe adds, a chuckle lingering briefly.

as soon as her cousin bunny ears around the word introverted, chloe's attention is caught and she laughs again, striking down bunny's hands. 'stop that. he's a really nice guy. bella wouldn't be with an asshole. she knows how to choose good people.' she says, despite knowing she and felix are hardly the closest in the group. chloe then shoots her cousin a playfully teasing look, before an offended gasp leaves her. 'excuse me! there were no tapes...and there was no bathtub. i was not that bad.' chloe defends herself, but perhaps it will be futile. maybe she didn't hide it quite as well as she thought she did. which is just great, now everyone will pity her.

her eyes squeeze shut as bunny paints an image far too vivid, but chloe is laughing out in both shock and disbelief. 'please stop! stop it! i haven't even talked to him tonight, i don't want that to be what i think about!' she exclaims, only opening her eyes once bunny finally relents. chloe shakes her head, hands falling to bunny's shoulders to navigate them out of the bathroom. an apologetic glance is given to the others waiting, and the two witches slink away to rejoin the party. 'am i going to have to keep you away from josh douglas?' but as chloe says this, the crowd seems to part. two figures in particular catching the room's attention. the sight of jet and reid isn't exactly a normal one and chloe quickly spins bunny around. not for any reason other than ensuring her cousin doesn't commit murder there and then. 'smoke break?'

"Noah Schnapp.... Doja Cat. OH! Yeah, I forgot about that." You look at Noah who looks slightly uncomfortable. You frowned a bit nudged his arm affectionately.

"We're okay now. Everything was resolved. No hard feelings." He looked at the camera and grinned, moving to lean closer to you in his chair.

"Moving on. Noah Schnapp.... Height?" You looked at him as he thought for a moment. He seemed to look more and more confused as he thought about it. "Do you not know how tall you are?"

"No. Am I supposed to?"

"Yeah, kind of!"

"Well how tall are you?" He looks you up and down as if trying to decipher himself how tall you are.

"Y/h." You give him a smug smile.

"Why don't you guys stand up and compare your heights?" The woman behind the camera says.

"Yeah, yeah, stand up y/n." Noah says, quickly standing up to stand in front of you. You hop up and stand in front of Noah as if in a face off.

"I would say about 5'8-5'9." The woman behind the camera says.

After about 10 mins of arguing about each other's height someone brought over a measuring tape to take both of your heights. Noah was 5'8 but refused to believe you were as tall/short as you actually were.

"Noah Schnapp.... Girlfriend?"

"Nope. Don't have one." You look at Noah from the corner of your eye, mumbling a 'sure hope not'. Noah smiles with pink cheeks before ripping off the next sticker himself.

"Noah Schnapp... Twin?"

"Yup. Her name is Chloe."

"Noah Schnapp.... College?" Noah's mood picks up by a lot as he starts to squirm in his seat with excitement.

"I recently just got accepted into UPENN State University." Noah was obviously very excited about getting to gloat about his acceptance into UPENN.

The video went on for a little while, both of you answering questions. Some more uncomfortable than others.

"Okay, last one. Why is Noah Schnapp... so cute?" Noah throws the board out of view of the camera and slides off of his chair. He was red in the face while he covered his eyes with his hands. You laughed while holding your stomach.

Noah groaned and leaned his head against your thigh as he sat Criss Cross on the floor. You placed your hand in Noah's hair and started to play with it.

"Maybe it's his cute little smile." You teased, reaching down to pinch his cheek jokingly. The same way Millie did in the last interview from a couple years ago.

"Glad you guys think so." Noah said as he got up from his spot on the floor. the woman behind the camera swirled her finger in a circular motion, signaling to you guys to wrap it up.

"I think that's it?" Noah looks over to you holds out his hand, his cheeks the same shade of pink as yours. You take hold of his hand and hold them up between you both.

"I'm Y/n L/n."

"And I'm Noah Schnapp."

"And this was our 'Wired Autocomplete Interview'."

Once the cameras are off you place a quick kiss on the back of Noah's hand and stand up, heading for the bathroom. A quick dorky wink being sent your way as you left the room.

God I hate this oneshot.

Hear me out, i had an idea for a Miraculous x DC prompt. So, after defeating Hawkmoth the JL invites Ladybug to join them, she agrees but as a kind of support hero, she still wants to help just not fighting If possible. That's how the JL gets a healer for their party, yay. It's all fine and dandy until some of the older members start noticing how some sidekicks are more reckless in training so they can go see the cute new nurse

I probably butchered the characterization of some of them but it can't be worse than some DC writers, right? P.S, this is a mix of YJ show and the DC comics.

Ladybug placed the Butterfly Brooch into the Miracle Box. She felt exhausted and wanted to go straight into bed and sleep for a week straight. After years of blood, sweat and tears since a pair of earrings came into her possession, she finally did it. Hawkmoth was defeated.

Adrien had renounced his ring and moved to London with his mother so he can take care of her in peace without the shadow of his father’s actions hovering over him.

Marinette on the other hand was set to move to New York, and hopefully, get a fresh start but she was undecided on what she wanted to do.

After Lila and the reveal of Gabriel being Hawkmoth, she had lost the passion she once had for designing. The man was the reason she had started getting into fashion. With Lila and Chloe both destroying every sketchbook she had, in addition to lack of time or inspiration, she doesn’t have the same drive for it like she did when she was thirteen. Although she does still design for Jagged Stone, Clara Nightingale, Kagami’s family and the Graham de Vanilys.

Her JL-issued communicator beeped with a message. When the Justice League caught onto the situation in Paris, Ladybug arranged with Wonder Woman so no Leaguer could enter without her say-so. The message was to arrange a meeting so they can discuss what to do since Hawkmoth was defeated.

She was surprised when they offered her a position in the League which she turned down.

She told them that she was tired of fighting. She was tired of being on the battlefield with the smell of burning flesh and silence after the screams of people were cut off. While she wanted to help people, she would rather do it from the wings instead of being at the frontlines. She also wanted to take it easy since Hawkmoth had finally been defeated. She instead offers to be a back-up hero in times of crisis and the use of her healing magic to assist other heroes. They all agreed.

Flash noticed that Impulse had been getting reckless lately. He is usually reckless since superspeed and all but getting hit by Captain Cold’s ray gun which could have been easily avoided if he didn’t stop suddenly was a little suspicious. Impulse then made a big show of needing medical care with his foot still encased in ice after Captain Cold and Heatwave were both arrested. He sped away before Barry could get some answers.

In Star City, Green Arrow and Arrowette were chasing some robbers. During the chase, Arrowette had fallen off the roof. Arrowette insisted that she was fine and that Oliver should not stop chasing the petty criminals on her behalf. Would you look at that the zeta tubes are a block away. She can go and get herself checked out for injuries if Oliver is so worried about her. Green Arrow left and continued chasing the thieves but there was a strange feeling that he was missing something.

At the Watchtower, Superman, who had been looking for Kon, finally found him in the medbay while their newest member, Ladybug, was healing him. Her hands were glowing pink as she hovered it over Kon’s face and healed his black eye. Ladybug giggled at the story Kon was telling her about one of his many adventures with Red Robin. The glow in her hands died and she told Kon to be more careful since she had been seeing him a lot. Kon laughed it off and flirtily said, “Of course, sweetheart. But sometimes, I can’t help but fall at the sight of you.”

As soon as he left the medbay, he ran straight into Superman who had one eyebrow raised.

“You do remember that you have a fast healing factor, right?” Superman said.

Kon sheepishly answered, “Well, sometimes, I want to speed up the process even faster. So what brings you here, Kal?” “Well, Jon told me that you antagonised Robin and he had punched you with kryptonite knuckle dusters. So I was worried and wanted to check on you. You look fine.”

“Yup, thanks to Ladybug. She’s awesome.”

“Uh-huh.”

“See, I am fine now. Thank you for checking in. Go back to doing JL founder stuff. And I think I hear someone calling for help. See you later. Bye.” Kon then hurriedly took off.

Superman shook his head at Kon’s antics when Impulse appeared with his right foot partially covered in ice. The boy cheerfully greeted Superman. The Kryptonian heard the already fast heart rate of the speedster get faster as soon as he saw Ladybug. A moment later, Arrowette showed up, appearing mostly fine. Then, she began limping and clutching her left wrist. To other humans, she might look like she was in pain but Superman could tell that she was faking it. The reason why became increasingly clear as he hears her heart rate also pick up when she is greeted by Ladybug and she became annoyed at the sight of Impulse in the medbay.

Superman decided that whatever was going on was none of his business and to let the kids figure it out on their own as he went for his shift for monitor duty.

Nightwing and Red Robin both groaned as they sat down at a table in the Watchtower cafeteria. Batman didn’t look up from his salad and the latest case file on the string of murder in Gotham as he asked them what was wrong.

“Red and I decided that it would be nice if both our teams do some training together so we can coordinate if we ever have an overlap in our mission.” Nightwing started.

“Only most of them weren’t bringing in their best. The training exercise was a complete nightmare.” Red Robin grumbled. “Now, most of them are in the medbay getting treated for their injuries. I don’t know what has gotten into Kon and Bart.”

“Cassie and Kara wouldn’t stop fighting to focus properly.”

The boys continued to complain about the problems between their various teammates while Batman grunted here and there to indicate he was listening.

Biodad! Bruce Wayne

Realised I haven't posted anything Maribat related in a while. Also realised that it's Biodad! Bruce Wayne month.

I am currently on break from fic writing until October. This happened because the wifi was out for a while and I lacked motivation to study.

Marinette is a Wayne and everyone knows except for the new kids aka Alya, Adrien and Lila.

Mari doesn't flaunt her wealth or tried to hide it but everyone just sort of forgets when she is as down to earth as the rest of them.

Except for the certain times she shows it and everyone is violently reminded that she is richer than Chloe Bourgeosis (who can't stand that fact.)

Picture this, Set season 3-ish, Spring Break is over and everyone is coming back from their vacation.

Chloe comes in a limo and bragging about her vacation in the Carribean or something.

Adrien looks around and is like, "Where's Marinette?"

Marinette hasn't been heard from all break and Alya is only aware that she is visiting family in the States.

Anyways, bell rings to signal classes and still no sign of Marinette.

Then, the chopping sounds of a helicopter is heard and everyone looks up to the sky and sees one.

Everyone moved out of the way as they realised that it was going to land in the courtyard (Or the sake of crack and the magic of imagination and fiction, let's pretend this is allowed and possible)

"I wonder if that is a new student." Adrien wondered.

"Ooh, I hope they aren't another Chloe. They seem rich if they are coming to school by helicopter." Alya said.

"That's Marinette." Nino explained.

"Where?" Adrien looked around for his very good friend.

"The helicopter. It's hers. Well, it belongs to her family. See?" Nino pointed out the Wayne logo to his friends.

"No freaking way." Alya exclaimed, "Marinette's not…" She stopped upon seeing a familiar girl exit the helicopter, arguing with a man in English.

"B, I am not going back out on this. I am staying in Paris and that is final." Marinette yelled.

"Sweetheart, but think of the akumas. They are dangerous." The man tried to appeal to her.

"It's fine and I am not dead yet. Plus I don't want you bubble wrapping me to 'protect' me if I stay in Gotham."

"I am not that bad."

"It's that Bruce Wayne? That's Bruce Wayne." Alya pointed and turned to Nino, "Why is Bruce Wayne here and why does Marinette know him?"

"You don't know?"

"Of course, I don't." Alya feels like there is a story here and Nino is not telling her what it is.

Adrien raised his hands, "Same here."

"How do you not know?" Nino waved towards the pair, "Mari's father is Bruce Wayne."

"What?" Alya and Adrien exclaimed. Brain.exe has stopped working.

The urge to write a broken and angsty Marinette who became a villain in Gotham after being kicked out of Paris. (P.S Hawkmoth is defeated and the Order forced her to hand the Miraculouses over.)

She had been causing trouble in Gotham for a while and the Bats know that she used to an ex-hero but couldn't find which one.

Anyways, Marinette gets dragged into the hero business as Ladybug because of some world-domination obsessed people who the Order used to tangled with in the past so they are making it everyone's problem. The Order is working with the JL to defeat the WDO people.

And Ladybug to her dismay realised that the other holders the Order had chosen were her old classmates (Class salt because of Lila. She is holding the Butterfly and being HM 2.0.)

Adrien is Chat Noir again and very happy to see his milady again (Adrien salt for the angst)

They all don't know that LB is Marinette who they had condemned with the exception of Kagami and Luka who are in the know.

Upon realising this, she makes detour and walked towards the Bat clan. Better the devil you know. Although they were on guard about this new/old hero who joins them, they relax a little when she gives them her villain name. (Also with proof that she is who she says she is.) She is more of an antihero and kinda friends with a few of them.

Ladybug makes a believable lie that she lost her memories of Paris and threaten the Order so they wouldn't disprove it. She hangs out with the Bats when they are not on missions so the Miraculous team is mad that she's hanging out with the Bats instead of them with the exception of Kagami and Luka.

Also they all had revealed their identities to one another and Ladybug is the only one who hasn't and they really want to solve the mystery of who it is. Especially Chat Noir. Kagami and Luka ain't snitching, knowing the shit the rest of them put Marinette through.

The Bats even though Marinette is a Gotham Rouge, they are also ain't snitching (because she knows who they are) and not budging on letting the Miraculous team get near LB. Because they know that the Miraculous team are part of the reason Marinette gets kicked out of Paris. Whatever they did to Marinette was probably so fucked up that she prefers Gotham of all places over Paris, the literal city of Love.

Also sprinkle in some enemies to lover between Damian and Marinette.

Damian the Dog

So what if Marinette moved to Gotham Academy, probably because of Lila bullshit or Guardian Duties.

She is mostly alone so she get a dog who she named Damian.

I actually look up on what type of dog she would have because I don't have a lot of knowledge on dogs. I wanted a small cute black dog. I am going with a Pomeranian or a Scottish Terrier.

It's all fine and going dandy. When one day, Damian overhears the new girl talking about him.

Marinette of course has zero interest in celebrities so she has no clue she is in the same class as Damian Wayne. Her classmates asked if she had any pets so she starts talking about her cute little Dami and showing off pictures of him.

"Look at my Dami. Isn't he adorable?" Marinette cooed, "I just love running my hands through those thick black luscious hair."

Damian gets the idea that Marinette is a stalker or a fangirl who is deluded herself into thinking she is dating him but brushes her off as mostly harmless. He can correct her at any time she steps out of the line.

Let the misunderstandings commence!

Fast forward the next few days, where Marinette keeps talking about her dog and no one has clued her in on the fact that there is a human with the same name as her dog going to classes with her.

Human Damian thinks she has very active imagination, going as far as to fake bite marks on her arms after a supposed passionate embrace.

(Damian the Dog is still being trained. Idk abt raising dogs so I hope I am right.)

The weekend arrive and Damian is at the dog park with Titus. Then he heard the insufferable voice calling out for him,

"Damian. Where are you? Come out. Damian. Dami."

He hid himself for a while, hoping she will give up sooner or later. But no, she keeps coming closer to the spot where he was hiding and calling out his name. Then, Titus blew his cover by coming back with the ball he was sent to fetch.

Thinking he had no choice but to reveal himself, he burst out of the bushes, scaring Marinette.

Meanwhile, Marinette was at the dog park to let Damian out of the apartment and get some exercise. She was kept an eye on him as he ran around but after a phone call from Jagged Stone for a new jacket, she had lost sight of her dog.

Then, while she looked for Damian the dog, someone jumped out of the bushes, giving her a scarce.

She realised that he was a boy from her classes and before she could ask if he had seen her dog, he began yelling at her.

"Listen up, harlot. Get out of your delusional fantasies of dating me and leave me alone." He yelled at a very confused Marinette. Human Damian continued to threaten her with lawsuits on the grounds of stalking, defamation and false claims.

Marinette gets fucking pissed at what the rude guy was yelling at her for no reasons but before she could retort, he stomped away with his dog trailing behind him.

"Come on, Titus. We don't have spend more time with this waste of space."

Marinette is so furious that if she was in Paris, she would have been akumatised for sure. She decided to calm down and go look for Damian, not the human. Arriving at home, she found a lawyer waiting for her and they handed her a thick files of all the charges she was being sued for. It was official she had met someone worse than the Chloe Bourgeosis.

So Marinette decides to stress bake about the problem. Ultimately, she made too much and decided to give away some to her next door neighbour, Jason.

Marinette had been living in Gotham for about a month and Jason knows about her habit to stress bake. They first met when Jason accidentally snuck up on her and she judo-flipped him who was 3 times bigger than her. Jason is impressed and Marinette is mortified. They became friends. Jason cooks her meals sometimes and she bake him desserts. It was a fair trade.

Anyway, Jason asks about her problem and Marinette starts a rant about this rich entitled dick she met who was from her class and she had coincidentally met him at the dog park while looking for Damian. Then, he called her a bunch of insults and names, accused her of stalking him and he had sent lawsuits to her address. Which was bad because she had her business as MDC to consider and this will affect her income.

While ranting, Marinette saw Jason's law degree which he had displayed, partially for his cover as a normal civi but mostly to brag to his siblings about being the only one who graduated from college and law school and rub it in Bruce's face. (We all seen the Jason became a lawyer to get Joker a death sentence post right? So Joker is dead here.)

"Can you be my lawyer? Or can you recommend me one? I promise I can pay you."

My #1 post of 2022

Imagine a daminette au where Ra's makes himself yet another heir but this time it's Damian's kid with the "Guardian of Miraculous", so a great grankid, but the kid just disappears in thin air. Some time, maybe a few little years Damian hears about It from Talia, after lots of searching he finds the kid with one Marinette Dupain-Cheng, and he might or might not get some flashbacks when the kid says they thought he would be shorter(all this build up, because i think this line is funny)

Wasn't sure if this was an ask prompt or something. I never done one before. But this sounds like a nice AU so I took a swing at it.

Marinette walked through the League of Assassins base, invisible thanks to Trixx’s magic. She tried to suppress her shivers as hazy memories of her brief imprisonment in the place flashed through her head. Now wasn’t the time for reminiscing right now. She was here to grab the Miraculous that was said to have fallen into Ra’s hands.

Normally, she would have stayed away from the place but the thought of leaving powerful jewels in that vile man’s possession left a bad taste in her mouth.

She crept along, dodging any guards that were coming her way. She used the magic inside her as the Guardian to guide her to the Miraculous. It led her to a rather lavish room.

(Shit, if it was kept with him in his private chambers, then it would be harder to get it out without him noticing. Although the lack of guards near the entrance surprised Marinette.)

After checking if the hallway was clear, she entered the room and shut the door behind her. Observing the room, it was not what she had imagined what Ra’s living quarters would look like, especially the crib in the room.

Curiosity came over her, she went in for a closer look to see a sleeping baby. What surprised her more was that it was wearing the Miraculous she came here for and surrounded for a few more.

As she reached inside to get the Miraculous, the babe opened its eyes, revealing familiar bluebell eyes. It was strangely quiet for a baby but it allowed Marinette to give a better look. She doesn’t know how since she doesn’t remember ever being pregnant but in her heart, she knew that the infant in front of her was definitely hers.

Her imprisonment by the League came to mind again. Marinette hugged her body as she realized what Ra’s did to her to make the baby. She felt sick to her core.

The child then let out a cry. Panicked, Marinette failed to notice that the illusion magic she had cast on herself had worn off as she tried to calm it down by picking the baby up and started humming a lullaby her mother used to sing to her. She packed up her emotional baggage to unpack it later because one, she needed to stay rational so she could get what she came for and two, no matter how it was created, she was going to take care of her child. For starters, she should probably stop calling the baby an ‘it’. As the baby calmed down, she unwrapped the blanket to see that she had a son.

A son. She has a son now.

The door creaked open. Immediately, Marinette turned around and went into a fighting stance as best as she could with a baby in her arms and no quick way to put it down so she could grab her weapon. She had a serious disadvantage in the fight.

Talia Al Ghul stood in the doorway, glare on her face and weapons ready. Upon realizing who was holding the baby, Talia lowered her weapons and shut the door behind her. She walked towards Marinette who was looking warily at her with some mild confusion. Marinette didn’t let her guard down.

“Guardian.” Talia greeted her calmly, further confusing Marinette, “I am not going to harm you. In fact, I would say that you have great timing coming here right now.”

“Talia, what’s going on?” Marinette asked tersely.

“Father wanted a powerful heir since my son, Damian had turned his back on his title as Al Ghul so he had used your DNA obtained from your last….visit here and my son’s to create Malik.”

“Malik?”

“That is my grandson’s name. Your son.”

After a minute of contemplating the existence of the baby in her arms, Marinette whispered, “Does he know?”

“Hmm?” Talia tilted her head at the question.

“Your son. The father. Does he know?” Marinette clarified.

“He is not aware of his son. But I would rather entrust Malik’s well-being to you, Guardian.” The assassin explained.

“Why?”

Talia hesitated, “Damian was raised in the League for the first ten years of his life, learning and training how to kill. That same faith will befall on Malik if he stays here. Damian was then sent to live with his own father. I love my beloved but he is not the most emotionally in tune with his emotions. In short, my son hasn't had the best home life and a child being thrust into his life is not what he needs right now.”

Marinette contemplated, slightly rocking the baby in her arms to fall back asleep, “I will do it. As his mother, I will do my best to raise him well.”

“That’s what I want to hear.”

The next morning, Marinette flew back to Paris with a new son and a duffel bag containing Malik’s ‘official’ documents, some spare clothes for him and the Miraculouses.

hiiii! i was wondering if i could have a harry potter (marauders era preferably, male) matchup/ship. :)

my pronouns are she/her + i have shoulder length black hair with dark green eyes, + i wear those cool clear framed glasses. i’ve been told i have the dark academia style, + upon further inspection all my turtle necks agree. i am a slytherin + i would definitely play quidditch as a beater. i’m super competitive, but i would also play to enjoy the game. i really enjoy reading + writing, i have a few poems that are already published :)

i am very out going + friendly, which means i have a lot of friends in a lot of places. i’m mostly considered “one of the guys” + not in the cute quirky way; in the way where we play tackle football + i’m a target whether i have the ball or not. i will get relentlessly teased for anything + everything, + i’m always the first person they call to go boating.

a majority of people see me as an older sister, i am overall very protective + caring. however, i really wish someone was protective + caring towards me i haven’t ever really experienced that in life. ((trauma lmao))

i speak in fluent sarcasm + dad jokes. i work very hard in both school + at work. i’m generally known for being the top student in all of my classes (high school + college) + for being an all around hard worker. this has made me stand out in my community overall + people look up to me. which is crazy because i have no idea what i am doing ever + i feel like everything is a mess.

i have a cat named chloe, who is all grey + she’s my best friend. i do play video games competitively, which is probably my toxic trait. when i have extra time i work at a small local coffee shop in town, + i know everyone’s name + order if they have visited more than once. (shout-out photographic memory).

omg hi, absolutely you can!! also, tell me, is photographic memory a curse or a blessing? because i genuinely feel like i couldnt cope with remembering so many embarassing and stupid things that happened to me. also i love how you specified that you’re a slytherin because like. nooooo wayyyyy i totally wouldnt have guessed that?!?!? what?!?!? lmao, you’re literally the definition of a slytherin with how you described yourself

James Potter

and this is not up for discussion.

- James is probably the most perfect match for you there is. He’s just as much of a mum friend as you are, so when the two of you team up with your “mum glare”, everyone is sprinting out of the room. But really, you just want the best for them!  This is also definitely why James is so keen on taking care of you; because he feels like usually you’re just the one doing it for everyone else and you deserve the same treatment. He literally couldn’t be more caring, loyal or protective. 

- We all know he’s the strategic mind behind pranks, and so it’s not really a surprise that none of them are ever directed at you. But when you join their little group, their pranks actually get better. Or well, not better for the others. But better in the sense of better planned, more elaborate. Less risk of getting caught. There always are some advantages to having a Slytherin work with you, after all. 

- James falls in love with you again and again every time he sees you playing Quidditch. Even though you’re on different teams. Even though when you’re in a match against each other, you’ll aim the bludger at him more than at anyone else. Even though you’re dead set on winning - just the way he is, too. You do train together, of course. Not officially, but you do. James is always on the Quidditch field, and my emphasis is on always. So having a girlfriend that absolutely shares this passion? Maybe not as passionate as him but competitive enough to always join and try to totally destroy him, even just in practise? He couldn’t have wished for anything better. 

- He’s not really a cat person, or, well, he’s just more of a dog person, but he really does do his best to get along with Chloe. It’s a little hard. I have the slight suspicion that “Chloe chasing a wild deer through your completely messed up dorm” is a situation occuring more than once. James just has that flight or flight response (yes, flight or flight). Especially around cats.

See maybe that’s why it’s fine to me..because breaking up Chloe and Max is not a dealbreaker to me. I genuinely don’t mind. Chloe was great and her story was simply concluded to me. It’s not back stabby to me that a relationship ended with either a breakup or death..that’s simply life.

Also exactly why “ soft femmed-up” is a bad thing? Is she not queer enough just because she looks a certain way? I dont agree. Chloe was attractive in her own way as well as Amanda and i like both.

I agree that Chloe just leaving Max is so out of character because she’s loyal to her core , specially when they didn’t gave us enough info about the circumstances of their breakup. They wanted to write her off so badly and they didn’t make much of an effort to set that up right , which is why people are mad and i understand.

Also max thirsty on main is something i honestly didn’t notice, Max flirts when I , the player, want her to flirt, and us being inside her head, hearing her thoughts would definitely lead to us hearing stuff that better left unsaid..if anything it’s people around her that are thirsty “aka Vinh, i dodged that man like the plague whenever i could”, in choices based game there will always be choices that doesn’t feel right..if there weren’t any then what’s the point of choices in the first place “granted this game just like its predecessor suffers from choices that doesn’t make as big of an impact as the developers wanted you to think” And yes Max has moment where she’s an absolute POS but it’s consistent with who she is, she’s deeply flawed.

I assure you, LiSDE is not free from issues and questionable choices from the developers when it comes to LGBTQ themes in video games .. i just think there are far worse games and developers at it than LiS and deck nine. And with every major games that comes out where it’s trashed by gamerbros and incel subreddits whenever they have a teeny tiny bit of gay, i’m glad i have this game catering only to us , as flawed as it is anyway. I’m not saying we should pat them on the back for the bare minimum, I’m just “personally” picking my battles and this one is a pass for me. I just think this game deserves a fair shot despite how they fumbled the Chloe write off thing

Two chapters into LiSDE and i don’t know why so many people hate this game so much, it’s an upgrade from the first game on every level .. the writing is tighter “so far” , the mystery is more interesting and Max grew up as a character, plus the two timelines gameplay is so much fun. I miss Chloe , Victoria, Kate and even Warren but I’m willing to play this new chapter of Max’s life and see where it goes.

Conversations led to more conversations led to expectations which led to disappointment, it was much more entertaining to keep people in the dark. Nirvaan was probably going to die in the next couple of weeks so in all likelihood this was the last time that him and Nirvaan were going to have the chance to talk or do… Anything that they had tried to do a few times already. Every night sounded like a lot but this night for sure, if the warder ended up being any good then they could talk about it if and when Nirvaan came back. He was fun though, cute as well, Assan liked both of those things in a person. “You always ask so many questions.” Assan pointed out as he took a step back and then glanced towards the stairs, they could go back and forth for hours but the demigod was liable to either get hungry again or fall asleep before he fed Nirvaan his whole spiel. That was probably why he messed up so often during training. Dareth was a saint for dealing with him. So was Assan apparently. He could only stand there as the voice in his head kept going and going. Hearing the tiefling talk this much was the most shocking thing in the world to him. Was he supposed to just accept that this was happening this easily? He couldn’t even respond quick enough before Assan was heading up the stairs. After hours is hands down my favorite album that came out in 2020. Nothing could top the masterpiece that this album is or can even try in my eyes. This album from start to finish tells a story about what I saw to be his downfall in love and the toxicity around him and within him. Not only did this story captures you with lyrics but visually in his music videos. The Weeknd has this touch within all his albums that tells a chapter of his life and this album is no different. With the retro trend coming in full force, The Weeknd had one of the best retro albums this year and not only that; the best album. This album showed his voice and the melancholy tone that he can produce is beautiful and pulls you in for the wild ride that is After Hours. Grammys can’t see.

Ungodly Hour has one of the best vocal performance in a album that came out in 2020. Ungodly Hour touches on the topics of sex, cheating and making drunk mistakes that most young adults can relate to. The tracks of the song touches on being with someone and doing not so nice things to them with a beautiful melody that makes you not notice the bad things they’re saying. The album is the equivalent to driving to the beach to watch the sun set, it’s such a easy to listen to album that anyone could have it playing in the background. This album shows the melancholy of relationships but unlike other songs that have a happy beat to make a playful songs in an album, the instrumentals showcases the sadness and loneliness that one feels. Good News was indeed good news to me when I saw it dropping and the first album that isn’t so melancholy on this list. This album touches on topics that Megan went through this year such as body confidence and as well the public attacking her. The album teaches people to be the baddest bitch in the game and to gain confidence that most may not have. This album is unapologetic confident and loving yourself. Instead of using ballads of expressing self love, the album demands the confidence to flow through them and let everyone know that they’re word will not change them. It also touches on the topic of sex, showing females can be comfortable with their sexual needs and experiences. Good News is the embodiment of confidence and being comfortable in your own skin, something we all can learn from.

Future Nostalgia takes the nostalgia to the next level with the retro inspiration and as well as the Madonna touches through the album. It makes you feel like your in another decade but somehow it still gives you nostalgia of the past at the same time. The album is a good feeling album and makes you want to dance with your friends with the disco ball above you. This album is one of the best retro albums that came out this year and it wasn’t something I expected for the next step in Dua Lipa’s career but it was a good step. Within this album, Dua Lipa’s voice takes center stage and fits the retro tune so well that it feels like she’s found her tune. Future Nostalgia makes you feel like your in the future but with the past in your back pocket.

Rare - Selena Gomez

Rare is the self love and worth with melancholy beats but as well as a happy beat making the sadness into a playful tune. It showcases what a person needs to do in order to fully love themselves and makes it known the hardships was just another push to become happy. The album touches on self worth and no matter what the person that you want to be with needs to treat you right because anyone can say I love you but do they mean it. It was Selena’s long awaiting album after five years of her last album but its a beautiful set of songs that showcases her progress as a person. Rare is truly rare when you realize how beautiful you are inside and out.

Confetti - Little Mix

Confetti was the celebration of finally being free from control that somehow turned into a heartbreak in a matter of seconds. The thought that this is the last album that will have four voices harmonizing hurts especially when you been there since the beginning. This album continues Little Mix’s theme of female empowerment, break ups and sisterhood. Little Mix has this talent that they are a group with four strong voices but none of them outshines each other but at the same time they allow each other shine with high notes. This group means a lot to me and without them I wouldn’t have the confidence that I have now. Little Mix created songs that even though sadness happened there will always be a celebration afterwards. Confetti is what you will see when the tears are finally gone and always remember that mental health is the most important thing and take care of it.

All About Luv - MonstaX

All About Luv is a cute collection of love songs ( hence the title and the day it was released ) that makes you giddy and warm on the inside. The album touches on all of the spectrum of what love is physical, emotionally, and mentally. It shows the love between two people and how beautiful that love is between them but at the same time it touches on the topic of wanting to be in love. Two ends of the spectrum but somehow it doesn’t feel out of place on the album but tells the story of love. This album could’ve been in Korean and I would still feel the same about it. Having the album fully in English was something I wasn’t expecting but it didn’t bother me because the collection was just that good. All About Luv makes you feel giddy about falling in love again or thinking of being in love with someone.

Breath of Love: Last Piece - Got7

Breath of Love: Last Piece was a long awaiting album where JYP didn’t touch and Got7 had full control of it and boy did it pay off. I honestly think this is Got7’s best album and the fact they had creative control say in shows how talented they are. The album itself has a refreshing listen to and it’s different then most of the songs that came out in Kpop during this period making them stand out to me. The first song Breath was the most refreshing song we could’ve gotten this year and it showcased the vocals that got7 has. Last piece was something that was different for Got7 and its something that fits them so well as well. I hope Got7 will be able to continue this and make more songs for their albums, the songs that they made were so good. This album made others who weren’t in Got7’s fandom see the vocal talent and the dances that they do are beautiful. It feels good that they got the recognition for their talents instead of being just funny. Breath of Love: Last Piece is Got7’s best album and its the start of Got7 having creative choices for their albums in the future.

Maria - Hwasa

Maria is Hwasa’s first EP and the collection of songs are showing her struggles and what she tells herself through these hardships. This EP is one of the most beautiful things I have heard in awhile, it made me cry and it made me understand Hwasa a little more through it. Maria is the first song and its actually her baptismal name making the song already very personal to her. If you listen to the song itself and not look into the lyrics and the meaning then the song sounds like a very well crafted Kpop song. However, when you read the lyrics does it change that. “Maria, Maria I’m saying this for you. It’s a shining night, don’t torture yourself. Oh Maria, I’m saying this for you. Why are you trying so hard, you’re already beautiful.” The whole song is her trying to convince herself that everything is okay and to not listen to the people that want to send hate. The song shows the darkness of being in the limelight but it shows her taking control of It towards the end of the song. The rest of the songs on the EP expressing things that Hwasa been through and it makes her fans more connected to her. Maria is a beautiful collection that shows the struggles of being in the limelight and how you can take control to make yourself happy.
