thinking about MCD like i literally always am but it’s like. Laurence and Aaron both have the “tortured man with a heart of gold” thing going on and so much so that all of Laurence’s arc ends up going to Aaron and by the end of s2 Laurence is like. character assassinated with little hope of further development or more or less written out of MCD BUT. but but but. I know why Jess went the aarmau route (sick and tired of the shipping wars and fair enough man) but it was lowkey wasted potential for Laurence and Aaron to be eachothers foils. Two people. and at their core they are loving and giving and dedicated (even if that’s expressed differently) but they’ve gone through a terrible traumatic hardship. changed physically and emotionally (I don’t know if it ever gets brought up again but Aaron was cursed by Zane) and now they live their lives pursuing 1) love and goodness, seeking to improve the world through creation (phoenix alliance), 2) hatred and vengeance, seeking to improve the world through the destruction of one man. And I just. I would have liked to see that explored more!! They both lost every tie to their old lives and old selves and let go of that in ways to pursue the betterment of the world!! Neither of them are who they used to be!! That’s apparent as we see Aaron become softer and Laurence become rougher and angrier and they should’ve had more screen time man. they could’ve had an interesting dynamic having their circumstances and experiences reflected back at themselves

Consistently shocked by the idea that people think Bradley Rooster Bradshaw is chill and laid back. He’s actually shockingly unchill. He is the opposite of chill. He did not inherent any of his parents chillness. He’s a loser who’s too invested in everything.

Like ya hi I’m Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw and I cut off my remaining family, surrogate father, and support system for 15 years cuz he pulled my naval academy papers because he didn’t want me to die like my biological father and because my mother wanted me to be free of the navy’s confinements and to exist outside of a system that physically uses me for their own power and political gains— gains I will never experience and feel for myself. Trying to go to a website -> 2 popups and an ad video automatically start to play. Trying to listen to the radio while driving -> 7 minutes of uninterrupted ad time.
