They were the main ones in the book already, but yeah, you got a point.

Suki didn't got the nom because (as much as i adore her and disagree with them) there were people who criticized her acting : because she kept her natural british accent - unlike her book counterpart Who was 100% american- instead of making an american one , while actors like Sam Claflin and Josh Whitehouse , both british did learn It, so those X losers called her "lazy".

So that criticism , i think influenced the FYC events and noms (sadly) . Though then they award the most random shows and ignore the good ones so 🙄.

I find more infuriating the lack of noms at the (both at the Emmys and Golden globes) for supporting actress for Nabiyah Be as Simone or for Sam Claflin (at the Emmys) as the lead man tbh.

I love Camila Morrone and Camila too, but her screen time wasn't enough to be nominated as lead, It has a minimum of screen time appearance established, and she doesn't reach It. Also she had more chance of winning on the supporting category (she won best newcomer actress at Celebration of Cinema and Television and was the only Cast member to be nominated at the Critics' Choice Television Awards of 2024)

Because in my country (Spain) when women marry , we keep and always have kept our surnames/ family names . We never ever lose them.

Therefore we never lose our change our identity for marrying...which is something that doesn't last forever for most people, so : She not only has to lose the man (Who was an asshole because she wouldn't divorce otherwise, so good for her) But then she can't have her name back??? She get stuck with his name?? What??? Ugh... I dont get It. What a shit deal for a woman..

While our spanish family names is a basic part of us and is forever.

We keep our identity : We are always ourselves and we don't belong to anyone except ourselves. 🤗🥰🖤♀️.

I always disliked the anglosaxon tradition of women getting the men surnames, as if women belonged to the men as a purchase of sorts.

I'll go as far to say that :

When I read "The Handmaids Tale" for the first time (I was 16) It reminded me eerily to that...June becomes OfFred , losing her name and becoming a slave on a dystopic world.

So my logic was : anglosaxon woman girl with her birth name -> then is a woman whose name is her husbands name now -> Now she is his... Like poor Handmaids.

My teen self was a savage (not that i've changed much) 😅.

As you can see i dont like that tradition.

I respect those british/americans, who keep their names or at least put It with a - joint (husbands name as the second one after the family one ofc) : Jane Doe marry John Smith, then she keeps being Jane Doe or becomes Jane Doe-Smith.

So thats why I liked the Álvarez Surname that i've seen. Also Álvarez - Dunne.

Also if Camila kept her birth surname her initials would be C.A and not CD (which sounds like a 💿) and in Europe we have a cool clothes brand called C&A , so if her character had clothes of this brand , they would have her initials already, which is cool to me (as random as It sounds XD)

I truly love Riley Keough and Sam Claflin, but it's like they're the only DJATS actors to exist. Why didn't Suki Waterhouse get nominated for an Emmy? Camila Morrone was a lead Actress, not supporting?

Also unrelated, but Camila being referred to as Camila Alvarez bothers me. It's Camila Dunne, I pretty sure she kept using Alvarez professionally. Like 911, Athena uses Grant professionally, but she's still Grant- Nash. Maddie probably still uses Buckley for some things. (I doubt it though lol, bc her parents suck.)

AHHHH Okay I know what the problem is as I have been asked about it before. Are you using the mobile app? Because on the app it just doesn't work. I have NO idea why. My theory is this, with what little I know about UI: I think the app can't read "sub-pages" (basically, it creates a folder on your blog that doesn't have a unique blog number code that the mobile app can read) that Desktop users are able to create on the "Customize" page of the Desktop Version (which functions essentially like a Wordpress blog), and because it's not reading it as a "real page" it gets forced into an endless link loop.

THE TUMBLR APP IS GARBAGE. It has been since implementation and they NEVER ever properly made the desktop and app versions work together.

It was only just LATE LAST YEAR that the desktop / browser version got all the style sheet stuff mobile's had for years AND the ability to edit mobile-made posts (before it used to lock you out and you had to go to the app to fix any posts even just reblogged on mobile, which is why I NEVER EVER blogged on the app). It's so bizarre that Tumblr hates their desktop/web browser users but it's the only version of the site that functions properly and is completely stable.

THAT ALL SAID, Nonny, the simple fix is to log into Tumblr on your Phone's web browser app, whether that's Safari, Firefox, Chrome, whatever... It functions just like the desktop version and all the links will work again for you.

OR you can copy-paste this web address into your web browser if you don't want to do that and the page will open as it should, since my blog isn't locked to only-Tumblr:
