i need a long angsty daisy jones and the six fanfic where the reader is like billy’s tour girlfriend and she’s so hopelessly in love with him, looking at him through rose colored glasses and just seeing this perfect guy, having no idea about camila.

until she does.

and obviously she has to break it off immediately because she doesn’t want to be the other woman. she didn’t ever want to be in this position.

and so she goes to graham, and she gets camila’s address to write her letter, and it has to be a letter because she knows if she calls then camila will just hang up

because that what she would do.

and the letter is so heartfelt and warm and apologetic and very obviously tear stained when camila gets it that she just can't bring herself to be mad at this poor girl who got just as cheated as she did. at this poor girl who broke i up with billy when she found out bc she knew what he did was wrong

and so camila writes back, and a friendship forms. an unexpected friendship, but a friendship nonetheless

and soon enough, once the baby is born, the reader finds herself driving across states to come see camila and julia because dammit billy is in rehab and she wants more help than just her mom and she wants to meet her friend she’s been calling and writing and sending photos to and from this whole time

and you know, the reader stays longer than she means to

long enough that something more than friendship is buzzing between them

long enough that the reader has taken billy’s place in bed next to camila

long enough that when billy comes home from rehab, she’s holding julia while camila buzzes her lips against the baby’s stomach.

obviously he’s flabbergasted because what the FUCK is his affair partner doing in his house with his wife and baby and why does his mother in law look totally unphased….

reader simply kissing cami’s temple and handing her julia, saying she’ll give them some time alone because she understands that they need it

GOD having to have the talk about what that means for the relationship and everything i’d lose my mind

both of you eventually coming to the decision you’ll give billy one more chance

and once he gets over that fear he’s a good dad. a good husband, a good boyfriend.

and then daisy fucking jones shows up.

Y/N: Well, how I met Eddie... It's kind of funny.

EDDIE: She was still working as a waitress in a restaurant that we all went to frequently.

Y/N: And he never looked away from me, sometimes it was a little weird, because he never took any action. Until I started talking to him and found out that he had just moved to LA and was in a band.

EDDIE: Who can blame me? Have you guys looked at Y/N?

Y/N: That was right before I was working as a songwriter for the new band Teddy was creating.

EDDIE: But one day I decided to try my luck.

It was the hottest day Los Angeles had seen in years. And as it turned out, all the Californians were on the beaches to cool off. On the other hand, the Six were in the coffee shop next to the record label where they were supposed to be writing songs at that very moment, but it was too hot to think about anything.

── Here are the lemonades. ── The waitress in the vibrant blue and yellow apron took the glasses off the tray and left them on the table in front of her for all six friends.

── Thank you, Y/N. ── Eddie smiled. Of course they had talked several times, but that doesn't take away from the fact that it was funny when Y/N catches him looking at her.

── What are you guys doing today? ── S/N asked as he was tucking the huge metal tray under his arm.

── We don't know yet. ── Camila replied, shaking the straw in her glass.

── We should be working on a song, but in this heat it's almost impossible. ── Graham said.

── I'm going to have to agree. ── She gave a low laugh. ── Don't worry, folks. Soon a melody and some cool lyrics will appear for you.

── Hey. Don't you want to go to the beach with us after your shift? ── Eddie asked.

── Sure! That would be great. ── The blonde gave a big smile.

── Right!

EDDIE: It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It wasn't a real date, but it was a good start, right?

Y/N: What he didn't know was that I had a little crush on him at that time.

EDDIE: Wait, she said that?

After the end of his workday, which on weekends was shortened to after noon, Y/N was already heading down to the beach. His house was not that far from there, so it was easy to leave to change and not take so long to do so.

Karen was the first to see Y/N, he waved for her to see them and she returned the greeting. Camila pulled Eddie close to her and before the woman could reach her, she managed to whisper in his ear.

── You better act today.

EDDIE: It sounded like a threat to me... But what matters is that in the end I got the girl. Thanks, Camila, for the little push.

Y/N: Cam has always been there to take care of everyone.

After a few beers and cigarettes, Eddie and Y/N were left alone by their Roundtree band mates. Just the two of them enjoying the beach breeze hitting their faces and hair.

── And that's how he ended up with the hotel bathroom. ── Y/N gave a loud laugh. Eddie should be telling about their idiocy on The Dunne Brothers tour. ── It was good while it lasted.

── I'm sorry about that, Ed. ──── He shook his head and took the last sip of his beer.

── On the bright side, I never would have met him if the band had worked out. ── The level of alcohol in Eddie's veins was having an effect on his behavior and his attitude.

Y/N smiled watching Eddie gazing at the sunset. She gave him a slight nudge with her arm. Roundtree looked at her with a smile on his face.

── What? ── He asked, confused. Now she was looking at him in that strange way.

EDDIE: I could only think of one thing.... "Who's looking in a strange way now?"

INTERVIEWER: Is that where you knew you loved him?

Y/N: I knew the first time I saw him… Despite the strange looks we were giving each other.

EDDIE: That is still the case today, as incredible as it seems.

── Nothing. Just let it go. ── Y/N turned her gaze to the sea. But Eddie asked with his eyes that she say something. ── Thank you for inviting me, Eddie. I really needed that. ── She smiles again, looking at his face.

── God, stop doing that. ── Eddie brushes his hair back, receiving a confused look from the woman beside him. ── Every time you smile at me like that, my mind locks up and I don't know what to say. ── Y/N felt her heart racing so fast she couldn't hear anything but him. She let out a low laugh and moved closer to him.

── So you don't want me to smile closer to you? ── She whispered, looking into Eddie's eyes and then into his mouth.

── Please don't. ── He answered in a whisper, before he glued his lips to hers.

EDDIE: I kissed her. And if it were only up to me, we'd be married the next day.

Y/N: Eddie is exaggerating. He still took a long time to propose and even longer to get engaged.

EDDIE: What can I do? I wanted to keep her with me as long as possible. And it worked.

The Dunne's were... an interesting family. An absentee father, a hardworking single mother, a rockstar son with addictions that almost ruined his marriage and a slowly growing obsession for another woman, a silly fluffy-haired younger son oblivious to the world around him, a daughter-in-law so far in denial about her marriage falling apart it was both pitiful and amusing, and a little granddaughter who had no clue about the shit her parents got up to. They were like a car crash happening in slow motion, the impact so close yet agonizingly far. And just like his dearest childhood friend, Daisy Jones... (Y/N) couldn't help but get caught up in Hurricane Dunne.

He watched Camila dip her fingers through her long hair, pulling apart any knots and attempting to smooth out her pretty brown hair to avoid any question about why it looked like she'd been dragged down a hall. She'd been sitting alone in a bar looking like an abandoned puppy when he'd spotted her and promptly forgot all about the blonde chatting with him in favor of taking a seat beside his favorite Dunne. Surprisingly, She'd answered his invitation to a hotel without a second thought. (Y/N) placed the cigarette between his lips and lit it, inhaling the smoke into his lungs and releasing it in a sigh. "Same time next week?" He grinned lazily when she looked at him over the shoulder with an unamused glint in her eye.

"Let’s keep this a secret, please? I really don't want any problems right now. I-I have to focus on Julia and-" 

"A simple 'no thanks' would've sufficed, Camila. I can take a little rejection." (Y/N) chuckled, rolling the cigarette between his fingers. Camila's lips pursed slightly, subtle enough it would've been missed if he hadn't been watching her. He tilted his head at her, catching her eye again. "Unless.. it's not a no?"

"Maybe, no, yes... I don't know." She sighed, head tilting back and eyes fluttering closed. "You... you and Daisy aren't together, right?" Camila asked softly, guilt already slipping into her tone. Too sweet and gentle for the world of fame and money. If she hadn't taken up being a housewife, LA might've eaten her alive.

"No, we aren't. We were never dating, and even if we did, we'd probably end up killing each other. I love Daisy but she can be a pain in the ass." He smiled fondly at the thought of the spunky redhead who'd run headfirst into his life like a damn tornado and somehow cemented herself deep in his heart. "Besides, I'm too young to be tied down to some idiot right now. No offense, of course. I'm sure Billy was a great man when you met him."

"Billy's a good man, (Y/N). He's trying, I know he is." 

(Y/N) exhaled through his nose and sat up further, leaning back against the pillows and headboard. He set the cigarette down on the ashtray on the nightstand and reached out, running his hand down her forearm before resting it along her wrist, his thumb running back and forth over her skin. "Nobody likes breaking vows and oaths, Camila... but you don't have to stay with the guy forever. You're young, you're pretty, the Dunne's seem like an understanding family. You'd probably be happier being a divorcee and just friends with Billy. It's your life. Do what you want with it."
