Bad news: That joke post about including Reset + Orchid is definitely not canon. (I legit got sad thinking about Reset being in a universe where Orchid isn't- because their stories are so so intertwined- but Nightmare 100% would NOT risk the whole twins exploding Error's soul thing.)

Good news: This means I COULD include Kane (Reset's older brother who usually dies in timelines where Reset is born) and use it to develope his character a bit more! Also! Perhaps a Blue × Dream kiddo is finally in the stars for me to design?

been thinking about the aftermath of the school and elmville being destroyed and maybe one of two ways it'll be resolved:

one: bc of all the time quangle nonsense (affectionate) arthur aguefort is gonna show up at the very very end of the battle, see all the carnage and wreckage of his school and elmville and be like "oh nonono, can't have all this" *clap clap* and just reset the world by 24 hours, sky's not on fire, school's repaired, elmville's back to normal (and then two subthoughts about this: either the only people who remember the actual battle are the people in the gym (i.e. the ratgrinders, the bad kids, porter and jace, ankarna, etc.) OR the entire town remembers and everybody's just like "well, that's good ol' arthur aguefort and elmville for ya!")

two: they just let this terrible school full of evil teachers and insane academic policies BE destroyed and done (sort of in the vein of the end of buffy season 3) and aguefort decides to just completely rebuild over the summer

I was in a major car accident yesterday (got t-boned) and was very luckily a) alone in the car, as the passenger side got walloped and b) not injured. However I took care of everything and then went home and proceeded to sleep for 19 out of the following 24 hours.

I dont underatand why this happens every olympic cycle as if everything that was previously brought up never happened.

Predatory "gender verification" has existed in women's sports since the 60s, from physical examinations to genetic testing. In 2000, 24 years ago, they decided to stop using them because they were bs that didnt actually do anything to catch the men supposedly masquerading as women or protect female athletes. The only thing they did was cause unnecessary emotional and social stress.

On top of that, the proof this is based entirely on sexist ideas is in the fact that men never face these tests. Men have a normal range of hormones too, but men being born with naturally higher or lower levels of one of them is never an issue. The olympics has such a huge range of body types i guarantee you that there are male athletes who have undiagnosed intersex traits. And i also guarantee you that if genetic testing was brought up for them it would immidiently turn into arguments of how it doesnt matter and would ruin their life socially, and how could you do that to a man?

I don't care about what the leaks show off, Jack is either in the event or I'm not pulling for a single card for that event (unless Sebek gets a ssr)

YOU KNOW WHAT I'M CHOOSING TO REMAIN PESSIMIST.............. Because if he isn't in the event then the impact will be less painful bc I was already expecting it, and if he turns out to be in the event it will be a pleasant surprise!

It's crazy to me when customers get wrong info on the phone, and refuse to accept the truth when they get to the store. Woman calls me over "where's the half gallon Natalie's orange juice for $7?" And I say "we don't carry it in half gallon. Only a pint" she says "I called and the man on the phone said you had half gallon of Natalie's orange juice for $7" and I said "I get that, but I'm telling you we only carry it in a pint" and she said "but he said the Natalie's was $7" and I said "the Natalie's is $6.80, he rounded it up when he quoted you the price" and she said "but the man told me that you carried the half gallon Natalie's for $7" and I said "I understand. But I'm telling you that we do not and never have sold half gallons of Natalie's orange juice. Only the pint" and she said "he told me it was $7. This is not seven dollars." And I said "it's $6.80, he rounded up for convenience" and she said "he SAID you carried it" and I said "I understand, but we don't" the company- Natalie's herself- doesn't even SELL their products in a half gallon!!!!! They sell a pint. And they sell a gallon. I cannot change this fact for you just because customer service gave the incorrect info.

I feel like when people say this it takes away that these characters belong to a much bigger universe that is outside of Dick Grayson. Like he doesn’t own them and they aren’t characters that only appear in his comics.

Also relationships dynamics can change especially when characters are apart? Like characters can begin to see other characters in a different light and become friends or romantic interest. I honestly find that Jason and Dick end up in that same circle compelling especially when they are said to look like each other, like it adds to a dynamic that writers can explore between would be brothers.

I agree! Especially with the Timeline Compressing that DC does because they REFUSE!!!! to let these characters get older, we now have a Dick and Jason that are only a few years apart in age.

Jason was a Titan too, however briefly while he was Robin. I thought (using JayRoy as my example because I'm me) that Jason and Roy wound up having a great dynamic together, and it was only made better by Roy having been Dick's friend first (focusing on the positives in RHATO and Red Hood/Arsenal and not the nonsense- I admit I'm more accepting of it because it was the first time I read a book with Roy as a main character).

Or how Jason will interact with Kori or Donna sometimes, it's just adding layers. The way Donna sometimes acts like Jason is also her little brother, the way Kori cares. I think people forget that it is entirely possible for siblings to have a similar friend group, and have unique bonds within that group.

It can get frustrating when writers feel like they can only have one or the other sometimes though- note that we haven't had any interactions between Jason and any of Dick's Titans in ages and ages, aside from the DCU digital exclusive that was going for a while. That was fun.
