Ep 22-23 Commentary

Ha...I was inexplicably nervous for eps 22-23 and it looks like I was right to be (-: What a rollercoaster. Spoilers below!

I've just come out of ep 23 and uh????? holy shit????? ZYC????

Ok ok but to backtrack, let's do my comments semi-chronologically:

Ep 22:

A carry-over from ep 21 that I have to mention—heck yeah PSJ give WZY hell. She doesn't have all that many lines but she sure knows how to make them count. Also seeing PSJ and WX get screen time just the two of them makes my brain go "yay <3"

Back to ep 22, loved the fake-out sundial ayeee that was a nice Chekhov's gun that also brings the real sundial back into relevance for later. Also me eating up the PSJ and ZYC crumb of an interaction has brought to my attention how starved I am of their screen time together.

This whole ep was a great lament towards the feared inevitable. Every sad downcast look from ZYC, every complicated glance WX gives him. A wonderful, terrible crossroads for these characters. I love that for ZYC especially, it's such an incredible mess of emotion coming to a head. Bad enough that he's come to care about the demon who killed his family and ruined his life, bad enough that he's sworn a blood oath he regrets and tied himself to punishing someone he no longer finds culpable, bad enough that ZYZ's life or death depends solely on his choice and ZYZ is constantly practically begging for death when ZYC wants him to live. How much immensely worse it makes the whole situation that WX is literally ZYZ's soulmate. And obviously the whole team has only grown more and more attached to ZYZ, too. ZYC's personal turmoil aside, how heavy must that responsibility and guilt be? For the finishing blow that only he can deliver to also deeply threaten every other person he cares about? Everyone understands in the abstract what must happen and why, but just like seeing ZYZ lose control firsthand, the gulf between understanding and experiencing is so unimaginably wide. If he kills ZYZ, can there really be no resentment from his friends? From WX?

Also it seems ZYC only wears cloaks so that he can give them to other people lmao

Ah fuck, the farewell drinks. I didn't even factor in how ZYC might not survive the encounter (''': The drama truly was like hm can we possibly give ZYC a worse day than that night his whole fam died? Maybe give him a bunch of new family members and also the blade and the fate and the sole responsibility to potentially irrevocably scar said family members with? And he might die in the process too? (-: haha maybe? (((-:

Oh. Oh. Addendum. I forgot this til I saw it mentioned in another post—ZYC recounting his oath as he watched WX smile when they discussed reviving the tree...I could feel him weighing those words against his own life, against ZYZ's life, against WX's happiness. One way out of this impossible situation is indeed to doom himself. I'm in pieces.

Damn if WX isn't dedicated heart and soul, going into the sundial like that. I'm sad no one could keep her company for those 300 years but also I guess that's kind of an impossible ask (and maybe not survivable for the other non-goddess mortals? I'm admittedly very unclear on sundial time loophole logistics). It would have been nice to see someone offer though, even just to be turned down.

Ooh I like the soul needle fake-out, given this show's penchant for retroactive "actually we had a plan all along" moments. A good subversion of the narrative's own style.

Also I saved this for the end because it doesn't really fit the linearity of my comments but what the fuuuuuuuck oh my god I absolutely flipped out at this scene:

I am at once rabidly intrigued and at the same time not sure if I'll be satisfied with whatever payoff will come for this so I don't want to overindulge in theorizing and setting my own expectations too high. Maybe this is just a fevered hallucination, maybe it means nothing (I hope it means something). But damn!!! What a gorgeous man crazy scene.

In conclusion, ep 22 had some good stuff for me. Plot development and reflection and tension enough that I may have been satisfied with just that one episode. But they gave us two, so onward to ep 23 comments!

Ep 23:

I like how many solid reasons the team has to suspect ZYC being possessed. Even though I withheld judgment during my watch given how quickly the show usually confirms that kind of stuff with a possession mark, just simply casting that doubt made the whole build up that much more intense.

ZYC slowly walking down the corridor with the whole grounds lit a somber and haunting gold—*chef's kiss*

ZYC's monologue to a catatonic ZYZ is so important to me. The closest we'll get to his internal monologue about this whole situation. The kinds of things said when we think there's no conscious listener.

Okay so, having finished this episode and looking back, Li Lun's hands coming up from behind ZYC was not to denote possession (at least in this episode), potentially is a visual from ZYZ's POV, and seems related to the above screencap. I am so, so curious. Once again, I'm stopping myself from further speculation because I want to be surprised but ahhhhhhhhh

PSJ shooting at Ao Yin is so gorgeous. Her action scenes seriously never disappoint—the creativity of her fight choreos!! Also very cool that the whole team is getting to take part in the action, not just the two male leads.

Bai Jiu possession was not on my bingo card but I sure do love that we literally saw the possession take place and I still didn't connect the dots. Good shitttt. Also oh no ): ZYC was telling the truth about the soul needle, he was just tricked ):

Seriously from the Ao Yin case to getting PSJ released to reviving the Divine Wood to getting tricked by possessed!Bai Jiu to making pear soup to fighting ZYZ to fighting Li Lun—when will ZYC get a single goddamn vacation day holy shit.

Also when will WX tear up that contract so ZYZ can stop having a mild heart attack every time he wants to kiss her ): &I love that they saved the 300-year montage for this moment. While their ship doesn't give me brainrot personally, who could be unmoved by that incredible and undisclosed sacrifice? That's soulmatism.

Okay, I'd seen clips of them filming the ZYC and Li Lun fight but damn I did not expect it'd be happening right now!! Right after already taking damage from ZYZ? And my god is Li Lun brutal. The two actors did such an impressive job on this entire fight, what with Li Lun's ease and ZYC's suffering. I really appreciated the extensive hand-to-hand combat after Li Lun literally obliterated ZYC's sword. (Also though, given the origin of that sword, I kept hoping for a flashback to ZYC's brother once it broke, but alas, no dice.) Anyway, the show does not play around about ZYC whump it seems. I was very very shook by that throat punch; that shit legitimately looked like it hurt.

Honestly, I had a hard time with the extended ZYZ and Li Lun conversation at the very end because oh my god someone please heal ZYC lmao. But of course, that's the end of the episode~~

Y'all...check on your local ZYC stans because I was not okay after all that (': I need a heaping dose of comfort after all that hurt, but as always I'm cautious of hoping for much from canon itself. So yeah! Ep 23 was solid, but I would probably be in better shape if today's release just ended on ep 22 ((':

I think its just that it comes with D*sticule's idiotic finale whining where they are so smart and know what the characters want, Dean wants to fuck Cas and bake cookies for him and his D*stiel baby, Sam wants to hunt. okay, so obv, all the yanderes would make sure the guy who said that to u has to use a tube to eat for the rest of his life, but like the following yanderes:

Yandere Uncle Naoya would actually pop a vessel as he heard the words slip from that man. Its exactly why he wouldnt bring u to eat junk at 7/11 but your poverty cravings were on the high. Naoya is enraged because how dare this man even think it was okay for him to talk to you, a member of the pure blooded Zenin clan. And whats worse is that u even replied to jerk face there with a nonchalant "yeah, thats the plan". Naoya quite literally drags the man away from u and into the aisles at the back where he begins beating the absolute shit out of him and u dont even try to stop him because even if naoya stopped now, hed still come back for the man later and the punishment would be worse later.

Yandere (self proclaimed) Godfather/Babysitter Nanami gives the guy one warning, only one before pouncing on him. I mean, youre just sitting there, eating your food and minding your own business when some leech says this shit to you and Nanami sees the way your smile falters, the way your eyes dim a bit. When the guy doesnt back off, tries to say something else, Nanami tells you to "finish your food. I'll be back." before grabbing the man by his collar and taking him outside to beat the lights out of him. Then he returns, and orders you another sandwich and tells you to eat more.

Yandere big bro Choso doesnt exactly get what the comment meant at first. It isnt until the guy leaves and he asks what that was about that you explain to him what that insult was. Oh boy, Choso is unnervingly silent all the way home, and only after youre asleep does he go out to hunt that man down and kill him. Maybe he could give him to Mahito to play with a little.

Yandere dads/besties SatuSugu work as a team when they hear this. Suguru is keeping you distracted and feeding you more food while Gojo traps the man in his domain expansion and tortures him there for fun.

HEAR ME OUT i know a lot of people on here love this too but it just really gets me!! dean is sam's motherfatherbrother but john is their dad so what else is sammy supposed to call him?? i picture this as mostly s1/s2 sam and dean,, but also like late-seasons bunker samdean would be so good...especially after mary dies again. like omg im foaming at the mouth

maybe it starts off as just a mistake,, sam getting injured on a hunt and dean needs to take care of him. after dean gets him stitched and cleaned up, sam gets all tired and teary eyed and curls up next to dean on one of the queen beds in their motel room because he's just so exhausted from the days activities. dean doesn't mind having sam so close because he knows he needs the comfort,, and dean'd never admit it out loud but he secretly loves to cuddle with his sammy.

sam's all cozy on the bed in a pair of boxers and one of dean's old zeppelin shirts and he's half asleep when he says, "y' always take s'ch good care a' me, dean" and dean's whispers back "course i do sammy, it's my job" as he always does,, looking fondly down at sam and pushing his hair behind his ear and scratching at the nape of his neck..

"'s not just that..." his sentence trails off and for a minute dean thinks he's finally fallen asleep.

sam doesn't even realize that he says it; he's already basically passed out and as comfy as he's ever been, essentially piled onto dean's lap.

Sova Headcannons pt.2

Im doing a second one bc the first one got many likes and i am a Sova simp for no good. And i am writing so slow because i want these to be not basic things like how he treats you so kind and all. We all know that obv.

This man is inmune to weather. Is it cold or hot or raining or a goddamn hurricane is going on outside, he does not give a damn.

He uses 13 in 1 shampoo and still manages to pull off a shampoo advertisement model kind of hair. Also his hair never gets oily.

Several times you minding your business and when you turn back, there is a tall and muscular man standing right hehind you. He does not means to scare anybody but he is very capable about sneaking behind someone or something that he does it on instinct at this point.

He will let you inspect his bow but wont accept for you to use any shock darts. Not in a chance. Its better for you and him. He will teach you how to use bow if you insist on it but you need to get your own bow. Dont worry Chyper will know about this conversation. Just you wait for an occasion like your birthday or christmas.

He will let you braid his hair and even put flowers in it. But he will refuse to undo it if it gets messy. You need to undo his hair to either braid it again or leave it like he does if you dont want to see a fuzzy haired Sova for the rest of the day.

He loves when you and him braid match with one string of hair. He always touchs it when he is away from you and thinks it looks pretty on you.

His cape is so soft and warm. If you get cold, just steal it from him. He wont say anything about it rather will volunteer to give it to you. Another thing that the fur on its hood is real. He added it himself from one of his hunts. So its so soft.

He has an unwritten nickname. Owl boy. Agents like Viper, Skye, Brimstone and such tend to call him owl boy. He will get emberrased if you start to call him like that too.

In the morning, out of nowhere he went "hey bbg" ONE TIME to make you laugh at his morning voice but after your reaction he is scared to do that again.

He tried to sneak a baby owl into the HQ but Brim eventually found it out and made him relase it. But before he did, you guys had so much fun. The owls run with its legs was a hillarious thing to watch. It was the silliest thing you saw. One time it tried to eat your finger but it was so cute that you couldnt even be mad at it. You named it Sasha since Sova means owl in russian. Name switch. You get the idea.

Danny ran up stairs to grab his phone and return to the computer before anyone could close out of his chat. He checked the number and dialed it, closing out of everything and logging out as the call connected.

“Tim?” he asked as soon as the ringing stopped. “What’s happened?”

“Danny? I… this is weird talking like this.” Tim’s voice was rough and Danny couldn’t tell if that was from emotion or just how he normally sounded.

Danny laughed a little. “Yeah. It is. Give me a sec, let me get to my room and I’ll shut the door. Give us some privacy.”

“I… yeah. I might need a few minutes.”

“Are you okay?”

Tim made a sound that was somewhere between a laugh and a sob and Danny all but ran up the stairs. “No, not really. Um. My mom’s dead.”

“What?!" What was the appropriate response to something like this? Sometimes he wished he had Jazz's way with words. "What happened?”

“She and dad were in the Caribbean." Tim let out a huff. "I didn’t even know they were in the Caribbean.”

Danny made a noise to indicate he was listening, but waited for Tim to continue.

“There was a local villain named Obeah man. He captured them and held them ransom. Gave them some water to drink at some point, but… it was poisoned. By the time Batman got there, it was too late. Mom died.” Tim gave another half-hysterical laugh. “And my dad is in a coma. He may never wake up.” His voice trailed off.

Danny swallowed. How does anyone respond to news like that? “I’m so sorry, Tim. How are you holding up? What’s going to happen now?”

“The funeral is in two days. Bruce is organizing it. And I’m going to stay with him, I guess. He said he’d be happy to foster me until my dad gets better.”

“Shit, Tim. Text me during the funeral if you need to.”

“I might take you up on that. You won’t mind?”

“Of course not. Every 5 seconds if you need to.”

“Distract me. What’s going on in your life? I don’t want to think about any of this anymore.”

“Oh, uh, all right. Are you sure?”

“Please, Danny.”

“If you change your mind, interrupt me anytime.” Danny chewed his lip. What on earth could he talk about in response to news like that? The test he had in English last week? That sounded so trite. “I did start karate training with…” he trailed off before he could say his mom. “Anyway, it’s going all right. I’ve basically only been taught basic moves. I only get lessons two or three times a month so it’s slow going.”

Tim’s voice was still shaky, but he seemed to latch onto the topic to Danny’s relief. “You really have to give it your all if you want to succeed. Have you learned the basic stances and things?”

“Some, I think.”

“Hold those positions. Stand in your room and just hold them for ten minutes at a time. And practice the same punch over and over. Even if your m—” Tim’s voice caught and he changed course “—instructor can’t make it. Would you be allowed to sign up for classes? Get something more consistent?”

“We don’t have the money.” Danny bit back the embarrassment he felt at admitting that. Tim was rich-rich and never had to worry about things like bills. “Ghost hunting doesn’t really pay. My parents are at least good engineers so they can fix our own appliances and vehicles. Sometimes dad or mom will fix stuff for the neighbors for some extra money.”

Tim hummed in understanding and didn’t push the issue. “How did they even get into ghosts to begin with?”

“If we ever end up in the same place, you are not allowed to ask that directly to my parents. Don’t mention ghosts at all. They won’t stop talking for hours. As for how they got into it… Dad’s always believed in the supernatural. He could’ve just as easily started tracking big foot or the Loch Ness Monster. But he met mom in university and she was stuck on ghosts. Dragged him in, too. And he’s obsessive. Once he decides on something, that’s it.

“They were both studying the supernatural and had to decide what to focus on for their doctoral research. Mom’s hated ghosts since she was a teenager. Apparently she and a friend were dared to go into a haunted house one Halloween. She doesn’t talk about it much, but her friend died that night. She blames the ghosts and has dedicated her life to hunting them ever since.”

Tim clicked his tongue. “Wow. It almost makes sense with that back story.”

Danny snorted. “Ghosts aren’t real. I dunno what killed her friend, but it wasn’t a ghost. Wish they’d decided to hunt Bigfoot instead.”

“Really? Why do you say that?”

Danny looked out his window and stared at the setting sun. “If they were hunting bigfoot, we’d probably go camping more often. And I like camping. You get the best views of the stars that way.”

“What’s your favorite constellation?”

“That’s like asking who my favorite Star Trek character is! There’s too many to choose. But do you know the folk history of Polaris? It’s why I chose my username.” Danny talked to Tim about the stars and space until Alfred called him away for dinner. They made plans to talk online again later.

Next

Now, I have a question for y'all. I was planning on finishing the entire work then publishing on a once a week basis until finished (or twice a week if I had more chapters than I expect). I've got the first chapter mostly done, just need to rewrite one section and change a few lines elsewhere. I also have the next 1.5 chapters mostly done on a first draft. I could start posting now, but I can't guarantee a posting schedule and I'll probably have to take a hiatus or two as I plan to get a new job and move sometime in the next few months.

So my question, do you want me to post now or wait? It'll probably be several months if not a year before I finish depending on how long I take and how many other projects catch my eye.

I had a good look through Agatha's credits on IMDB. Now I don't know how much we can believe them and how much Marvel wants to hide/troll us. It is also expected that the names will only be added there once the episodes had aired. But there could be some interesting conclusions based on the current listings...

Kathryn Hahn - credited for all 9 episodes (phew) - her backstory (and therefore the Spirit trial) has been rumoured to be in ep.7 but I think it's actually ep.6 (that's also the one that has the Intimacy Coordinator - it would make sense they would need one to explain Agatha x Rio history - a girl can hope!).

Joe Locke - credited for all 9 episodes (btw, my theory is his story will be revealed in ep.5 - the slumber party one. I think we will see a flashback of him trying to open the Witches' Road all by himself, and we possibly start seeing his blue power on the Road)

Sasheer Zamata - credited for 8 episodes (obvs didn't appear in the first one). I can actually well believe that because I think she'll be with us until at least ep.8 (because I think that's the hospital/asylum one) and we also see her in a promo scene where they somehow end up back at the start of the Road and Agatha trips over someone's shoes, with Jen and Teen walking behind her

Ali - credited for 8 episodes (obvs didn't appear in the first one) - this one I am a little dubious, because I have a feeling Alice will disappear at some point, probably during ep5 (80s slumber party). There were images of her wielding her power (fiery orange), probably attacking/protecting someone. But we can't see her in any of the later episodes promos. We do however see Agatha using a bit of red magic. Also, in the end credits, for split second there is "Can you talk to the Dead?" text above the pentacle. We expect ouija board to appear in ep.5, spelling "Death". So this could be some foreshadowing?

Patti - credited for 8 episodes (obvs didn't appear in the first one) - I think Lilia is with us until at least ep.7 (or 6, depends on what info you believe) - that's the one I believe to be her tarot trial (and we see Agatha as the Wicked Witch of the West and Jen looks like the Evil Queen hag from Snow White). And in one oh his interviews, when asked about his favourite episode and why, Joe Locke says "episode 7, Patit Lupone". So I hope this is going to be good!

Debra - unfortunately, she seems to be only credited for 3 episodes. But I still hope this is Marvel being secretive and that Sharon comes back at least as the "spirit-guide" at some point.

Aubrey - credited for 7 episodes - so every one except for ep.2 & 3. Which is interesting if true - because I vaguely remember people saying she was credited for 8 episodes, making them think that Rio was the Death figure we saw in ep.3 Lilia's nightmare. So maybe she's not Death or maybe Marvel is trolling. I am also not sure how long Rio stays with us - I believe ep.8 is Earth trial (AND it's the second episode that will have the Intimacy Coordinator...!!!!!) but the episode seems Jen-centred and Rio is nowhere to be seen.

Okwui - credited for 7 episodes. She is Vertigo - the head of Salem Seven. She was briefly seen in ep.2 and, if the credits are right, she will now appear in every future episode - probably hunting the coven along the Road. Sounds like they have a bigger part than I originally thought, I'm excited to find out why they are chasing them - and is it really Agatha? Or maybe they are chasing Teen instead? Her animal form is Cicada, which is interesting, because does anyone remember - the mysterious cicada appeared a couple of times in Wandavision!

There is one final slot in the end credit that has not been filled so far:

People were hoping it was Wanda (doubtful) or... Mephisto?

So in the IMDB credits there is only other name who is assigned to a a significant number of episodes and that is :

Paul Adelstein - credited to 6 episodes, so he should appear in all of the future episodes, starting with ep4! He does not have a character name, but when you search for him, some sources say he plays Jeff Kaplan - so Teen's father if he's Billy. But would Jeff really get such an amount of screen time? And possibly his own end credit shot? I think there is more to him and that he might end up being a significant character, Mephisto or not. I would actually LOOOOVE him to be Nicholas Scratch, leading on his Salem Seven!

Or we are being blindsided and there is a secret character nobody knows of!

There are other actors where we know data is potentially incomplete:

Maria Dizzia is nowhere to be seen but she's supposed to be Teen's mother, Rebecca Kaplan. She appeared in the premiere carpet event, but could it be Marvel actually doing some more trolling...

Chloe Camp - she plays young Lilia, we saw her in ep.3 and she's said to have a recurring role, but IMDB only credits her for that one episode. I think it's probably because Marvel doesn't want to tell us which week we get the tarot trial

Scott Butler - he plays the Doctor from Jen's nightmare. Again, only credited for that one episode, but he's likely to come back to explain Jen's story?

So, while I was playing Reload (great game 10/10), I was brainstorming about using the android that kills Shadows in P5. So, I came up with an AU where Akechi is an Anti-Shadow weapon. Well he is inspired by one.

Of course, there are fanarts (better than mine) or fics where he is that Anti-Shadow weapon, but I have never really seen anything dwelling into lore that much? I just saw the concept being thrown around or Phantom Thieves just being a part of Shadow Ops (feel free to correct me, I haven't been everywhere in Persona fandom ehsjskks) So here's my take, which contains spoilers for Persona 5 (obvs) and some angsty themes:

Spoilers obvs!!!!!!!!

-Wakaba killed Akechi during one of Metaverse's experiments (oops),

-she felt so guilty about it that she secretly retrieved his consciousness from there,

-using plans for an Anti-Shadow weapon

by the Kirijo Group that she somehow got hold of (maybe she stole it, maybe she just got it idc), she rebuilt him as an android and put his consciousness there (although it exists with the programming, because she wasn't that knowledgeable about robotics - she was a cognitive psicentist at heart, after all),

-was it a good decision? idk but Wakaba kinda strike me as a scientist who would think that was an excellent idea,

-Akechi disagrees, he hates her for that because now he is forever stuck as a thing that is forced to listen to orders (being forever stuck in one body also doesn't feel right I suppose),

-but they have a neutral and professional relationship that revolves around exploring the Metaverse (Akechi can still use Loki, just like Aigis can use Palladion),

-Conspiracy, learning about this, hacks Akechi-android to use him as a weapon in the Metaverse (so he still is a Black Mask, although everything is done completely without his input),

-Akechi then kills Wakaba, which she anticipated and before that she had given Futaba a copy of her research and Akechi’s plans - although she said to never use them without a really serious reasoning,

-yada, yada, yada we're in original game timeline,

-Akechi as a Detective Prince doesn't exist,

-but he does exist like a obstacle in Palaces/Mementos that hunts down the Thieves,

-let’s just say they would be able to fight him back around the time their lvl in Okumura's Palace,

-Morgana doesn't know wtf Akechi is,

-Joker has some suspicion that Akechi isn't just a machine, but he doesn't really voice it at that point,

-when they are in Futaba's palace, on one of the wall arts (the one where Wakaba works on something and Futaba is begging for her attention) they notice that Wakaba was working on one of Akechi's parts (probably his arm idk),

-so they ask Futaba (post-change of heart) what’s going on, but she has to do research,

-when Futaba joins the team, Akechi always targets her (due to his resent to Wakaba),

-they finally learn what Akechi is and that he is malfunctioning (y'know being a serial killer weapon) due to being hacked, so they decide to help him (bonus point if they can get him on their team),

-so in Okumura palace arc they set on changing the CEO heart and capturing Akechi (who is also there, because he has to get rid of Okumura),

-during the fight in that Palace, Futaba manages to free him from Conspiracy’s control (bonus point if he awakes to Robin Hood),

-when they get him back to Leblanc's attic, Futaba repairs him (because I feel like she would be into robotics just like her mom) and they learn that even if he is on their side now, he doesn't remember who he really was (even first his name, only Akechi).

So, my AU would revolve around Akechi re-learning about his past (he can bond over his amnesia with Morgana) and being as human as possible.

I have a few ideas that I probably will draw (or write, who knows), but that's all for now. Thanks for coming for my ted talk.

Bo and Vincent had moved back to the house, now through the underground tunnels to avoid the heat outside.

Vincent looked at his brother's back as they moved through the pathway. The black haired man was filled with confusion and curiosity at his older brothers actions.

Bo ignored the burning of his brothers judging gaze against his back. He continued to drag the carrier along the ground as he held his new baby girl in his arms. He's stil figuring it out but he's doing ok.

They finally arrive to the basement door above them after a 5 minute walk. The older of the two (three) waits aside as his brother climbs up the ladder and opens it. The light from their father's room, shines down into the tunnel as Bo hands the empty but heavy carrier up to his younger brother.

Vincent takes it and puts it aside as he waits for his brother.

Bo stays down and stares up at his brother as he caresses the baby's back.

His brother above him, looks down at him with a buzzled and questioning look as he waits.

What are you waiting for? Hand the baby to me!

Vincent signs to his brother, but Bo stays down.

"I-I... Just wait a moment." Bo breathes out with a uncomfortable and akward tone.

Are you serious?! You don't trust me?!

Vincent signs again now with dramatic moves of anger.

"Yes I trust you!... I'm just nervous... Okay!" Bo groans and sways around for a moment before reaching up with the fussing baby in his arms. He hands the child up to his waiting brother, who takes the baby into his arms with a reluctant emotion.

Bo groans and climbs up the ladder from the tunnel, to the room. Vincent moves aside to make more space for his older brother.

After he is up, Bo pushes down the basement door and walks up to Vincent.

"C'mon, I can take her..." Bo says and reaches his hands to his brother, waiting.

After not receiving an answer or a action from Vincent, Bo speaks again.

"C'mon you freak, hand her over!" Bo burts out.

Vincent adjusts the baby to be in a comfortable and safe position, being held by one arm so he can sign to his brother.

She smells nice... She is so soft... And so light...

Bo looks a little bit curios and confused at this but quite quickly gathers himself.

"Y-Yeah... She's nice, ain't she? Real sweet one... Little sweetheart..." He chuckles and crouches in front of his brother and the baby in his arms.

Vincent let's out a hum of agreement and acknowledgement at his brother's words.

They sit on the floor, in a comfortable silence, looking at the baby. Until she (the little mf) begins to fuss around and slowly cry.

The both brothers jump at the sound and quickly, in a panicking way, stand up.

"Shit, shit, shit! What are we supposed to do?! What does it need?!" Bo yells in a panic.

Vincent only shrugs as he tries to lightly bounce and sway the baby in his arms, to calm her down.

"W-We need... Baby stuff?! Right?! What the hell is baby stuff?!" Bo paces around as he tries to come up with something.

"Smell it-! I mean, Sniff it! Diaper! Is it full?!" He tells his brother and walks back to him.

Vincent grabs onto the baby lightly and raises her up to his face. He curiously sniffs and quickly retracts and keeps his distance from the crying baby.

Vincent doesn't even need to speak to tell his brother the answer. Bo lets out a loud sigh as he takes the baby from underneath its pits and walks out of the room.

The wax artist quickly follows his brother, as he walks down the hall, down the small steps, to the living room, and through it to the kitchen at the end of the house. (I've studied the house okay???)

Bo reluctantly places the baby on his hip(cause poopy) and picks up the phone on the kitchen counter.

After 7 minuted Lester had sped up to the driveway, ran out of his car and into the house.

"What the hell do you mean you 'have a baby'?!" Lester yells when he bursts inside.

"What the fuck do you think I meant you r-?! I meant that I have a baby right here and it has a shit in it's diaper!!!"

Bo answers, yelling even louder as the baby's loud wails fill the house.

Lester's eyes widen as he sees the baby in his older brothers arms. "W-Wha... Bo you ain't serious, right?!" He asks with panic and confusion.

Bo stays quiet.

"Just go to the store and buy some diapers... And other shit. I'll text you what we need." He murmurs.

Lester sighs in defeat and walks out of the house again.

Bo keeps bouncing the crying baby, trying to calm her down.

Lester groans as he puts the heavy grocery bags on the living room floor. He had just returned from the city with the stuff for the baby. The youngest Sinclair brother had bought all the things that Bo had listed for him that being: diapers, formula, couple of onesies, a teddy and a brand new light blanket for her.

While Lester was away, Bo decided to wash the baby and Vincent went to the attic to bring a old crib down.

Bo softly smiles at the baby's small giggles as he dries her with a towel. He had decided that Lester would take too long and the baby was uncomfortable, so the answer was to clean her while they waited for their shopper.

Bo finishes with the drying her and wraps the towel around her, to keep her warm. He brings her close to his chest and cradles her. He puts his cheek on her head and caresses her back as he sits on the closed toilet.

"What the hell are we going to call you..." He quietly and softly whispers as he continues to caress her.

He hears the sound of the door and slowly standa up with the baby in his arms. He looks up at the mirror in front of him, above the sink. He watches the scene, the brutal serial killer of Ambrose, holding a baby. And not trying to kill her.

He looks down at the baby against his chest, and gently brushes her back with his knuckles.

"What about Y/N...? You like that? I like that..." He whispers to the baby with a soft smile.

The baby girl answers with a small cooing noise and Bo chuckles at this.

Bo's attention is taken by the sound of his brothers in the living room. He sighs and steps out of the bathroom.

Bo walks down the hall, down the small steps and into the large living room. (i have to flex that i know the house, ok?!) There he sees his younger brothers unpacking Lester's findings.

"C'mon dipshits, hand me a diaper and clothes for this little asshole..." He grumps.

Lester sighs and walks to his older brother, with the things he had "asked" for in his hands.

"There... Vinny already dragged y'all's old crib into yours bedroom. Go and take care of this cute little nuisance..." Lester hands Bo the items and chuckles. He caresses Y/Ns cheek with a goofy.

"Alright that's enough. Thanks. Good night." Bo grunts, turns around and walks up the stairs to his bedroom.

Bo quietly closes the door behind him, as he steps into his bedroom.

"There we go... It's a little bit dirty, but you don't give a fuck, do ya?" He whispers and akwardly chuckles.

He walks to the bed in the corner of the room and cleans the bed with one hand. "That's better, ay...?" Bo whispers and sits down. He lays down on the bed with a tired sigh of relief and gently places the baby on his chest. Bo looks down at the baby, laying on his chest and softly smiles at her.

"You wanna sleep? I bet you do." He chuckles and gently pets her head.

Bo raises her up from his chest and lays her down, on his bed, next to him. He looks to the other side of the room, at the crib that Vincent had brought there.

He makes sure that Y/N stays safely on the bed while he stands up and prepares the crib for her.

After doing that, Bo puts the diaper on her and dresses the baby.

"Yeah... That's alot nicer isn't it..." He whispers to her and picks her up from the bed.

Bo sways the tiny child in his arms as he walks to the crib. He gently and slowly puts her down in the crib. The brunette softly smiles as he sees the baby's eyes fluttering shut.

"Good night... Y/N..." Bo whispers and steps away from the crib.

My thoughts/rants aren't very coherent so just take it as me rambling instead lol .

 Although sj's treatment of lbh was awful, lbh is still sj's direct disciple and the matter of his discipline rests on sj, so it's awkward for outsiders to interfere. it's not right but hey neither is slavery or child marriage so them's the works.

LBH was free to leave Qing Jing Peak at any time - but perhaps not in his own mind. This is interesting bc imo him and sj never had a relationship where sj was gaslighting lbh into staying. in fact i'd say sj made it plenty clear he found lbh to be an eyesore but maybe in those years sj had some intermittent spots of mercy lbh latched onto and then just never gave up hope.

Unless, Well looking at SV canon and how the system didn't penalize sy for the medicine + carriage ride after sy explained his thought process, it wouldn't surprise me if those types of events happened with sj and lbg. if sj had to bring lbh out on a night hunt he prolly made sure lbh was patched up + looked presentable so he didn't ruin the cohesive aesthetic of his peak haha and well NYY is always a weak point. these things definitely wasn't usual but likely happened often -enough- for lbh to get his hopes up over and over .

As modern people, we of course abhor the way that LBH was treated and SQQ comes off as abusive and a slimy lecher. But by the standards of his own age, everything he's done is perfectly acceptable. In traditional Chinese philosophy, the teacher is like a father, and a father and a teacher can do whatever they want to their child / pupil. Even in modern China, teachers have been known to get away with beating their pupils. In the UK (where I'm from), it wasn't so long ago that teachers could cane their students and no one blinked an eye about parents beating their kids. Slavery, child marriage, selling your wife or daughter into prostitution, all of that was totally legal in ancient China.

I always thought it was strange that OG LBH fixated so much on SQQ that he tortured him so horribly, but there's no mention of him doing the same to everyone else who ever wronged him, no matter how small. I think being pushed into the Abyss the last straw but I also think the reason he so hard-wired to think of his Shizun as this unfeeling man and tortured him limbless is because He got rejected so many women like him but the one man he chased relentlessly for years for his eyes to even graze him he look the other way which is why I think his eye got taken out ?

After the loss of his mother, lbh expected to find a new family in qjp and a new parental figure in sj. The greater the expectation the greater the disappointment. obv jiumei is not in the right condition to play mother hen to anybody. | ಠ ∧ ಠ | but lil bingbing didn't know that and arguably maybe he understood his foster mother was treated bad bc she was a servant but he couldn't understand why sqq, an immortal cultivator, is so hellbent on bullying some unknown kid.

Also, why does it bug Binghe that much? Why was it brought up against SJ during his trial in Proud Immortal Demon Way? Maybe it's just critical research failure on Airplane's part, but in ancient China, visiting prostitutes was completely normal. Men could have multiples wives and concubines and sleep with their servants and go around to the local brothel. Visiting a prostitute was just a leisure activity.Like, t says something about Binghe's obsession with SQQ in PIDW that he's fixated on SQQ's alleged bedroom habits?

Of course we modern people and Luo Binghe have a right to be mad, but justice in ancient xianxia China is... putting it lightly, biased... This is a world that shrugs off almost any crime if your position is high enough.

100% LBH is right to be upset, but the problems run much deeper than SQQ, their whole world is rotten. Him being mad about SQQ yeeting him is kind of confusing, he's legit to be hurt about it but any Cultivator would have killed LBH on sight when he was revealed to be a demon, and a heavenly one at that.

Which is why i'm forgiving with Shen Jiu because why judge him from a lens from the modern viewpoint because on top of the shitty things that happened to his life him being an abusive teacher isn't really so damning when the entire Cultivation worls is corrupt??? In a way the original PIDW was a hypocritical abuse apologism story with the mentality that any abuse against the protag was unjust and wrong and any abuse he committed whether disproportionate or targeted at people who never did anything to him was righteous or deserved was a criticism of the stallion protags and that it was never equal to begin with Shen jiu never deserved such torture they were never on equal footings to begin with. Yeah, he was vicious but it hypocritical. I never took Shen Yuan being with Binghe as a reward but a punishment for being such a troll and idol-obsessed that he ended up with Bingmei dude. Sorry if ending up with a mentally ill man and one who sa him and only cared for his own needs during the act with no regard for their partner and i'm breaking yall illusion with this toxic ship.

Considering what went down with LQG and SJ when they where disciples it does seem like there is a lot of bullying. If PIDW is like other Xianxia novels, or even historical dramas then there is probably a lot of underhanded sabotage by students against one another. Many cultivation novels with sects have kids fight over food and resources and if you can't cut it then you leave or you languish. A peak like SQQs may well have such things as part of their education because it's a strategist and scholarly peak, any student who couldn't figure out how to sabotage rivals, curry favor with the right people, manipulate, info gather, and navigate dangerous political situations on top of doing well in normal studies wouldn't fair well in such a place. - I doubt this to be the case in canon as SQQ is supposed to be a scum villain but its fascinating to speculate.

In a way Binghe is weird he thinks more in terms of a modern person I guess in a meta way? Because... He isn't special .It always strikes me as funny that LBH apparently like, idk, despite also being native to the culture is upset by it? as if he wanted more from specifically from SQQ? bc he wanted SQQ to find him special? meta hand-of-god type stuff where LBH accidentally has a more modern attitude bc of the way he was written?

Hell, his 300 wives scream self-enforced heterosexuality. like some DEEP repression and distraction.Ur telling me this guy fought more powerful sect masters, demon lords, survived assassinations but the mean teacher deserved prolonged torment.

THE QUNARI AND WHY YOU ALL SHOULD BE NORMAL ABOUT THEM

the qunari story and lore drives me insane with how the fandom treats them

because we see them form the eyes of feraldans and orlesians and kirkwallers we never get a look form the inside

we only see what they see and they only see the military side so ofc to them they think they are all rigid and strict! even when you try to know more from the qunari we meet, they only talk about their training and military life which is normal ask any army soldier about his daily life and he wont talk about the flowers he saw walking down the street obv

the three Qunari characters that we see are literally the military convoy dispatched to another kingdom, the fucking president who is also the leader of the military forces, and the secret police guy (not even mentioning the actual straight up army and army general we meet in trespasser) why would they present as anything but scary intimidating and imposing when talked to by strangers??

everything anyone is gonna tell that is bad about the Qunari im gonna tell you you dont know if every single Qunari does these things do they all believe in force conversion? the Full Qun is not taught fully to everyone you only get taught the relevant parts to you and your potential, only the priests know it all, so how many Qunari actually know and agree with the actions of the secret police and conversion army?

the military and police training even in our world includes a great deal of unlearning kindness and care and relating to people and involves a great deal of dissociation but do regular people do that to?? do the Qunari people learn to disconnect the same way a ben-hassrath does? the logical answer is no because why would a baker or a shoe maker or a tailor need this heavy military training?

both Sten and iron bull once they get to know you TELL YOU that you cant judge the qunari based on them only, there are a whole nation of regular people in there that just living their life they do not have the harsh life the military trained have, they laugh around the fire and enjoy life in their own way and its different but not at all at the same time

the fucking arishock himself tells you you cannot inquire about regular qunari life from him because he is not a regular person he is a military man -the leader- he didnt live the life you are asking about he didnt learn the answers you need

when Wynn says to Sten "your people dont seem like music people" and he calls her out on that saying" based on what how do you know that?" and proceeds to tell her that he is not the equivalent of his people not every person is like him and he doesn't represent the nation as a whole they have music and art they have fun they have a beautiful life just not him in that moment because he has a job to do away from all that

in the fade you see his memories of relaxed qunari having fun and laughing and making fun of each other and that's STILL his military coworkers

do you think a regular ass Qunari that's like a cook in a tavern is gonna talk so much about the re-educators the same amount as bull?? do you think they even interact with them beyond childhood education (aka school....the part of the qun they need to be a cook)

all three of them ask you is that bad? is that worth destroying like your people think? do you think they are savages like your people think? compelling you to think beyond them to the people of par vollen

and im sad the fandom doesn't think about these questions critically and just generalizes the military experience on the nation of Par Vollen and by extension the Tal-Vashoth too

for example do you think the baker in par Vollen wants the Tal-Vashoth dead or is it just the military leaders? i bet if you go to a par Vollen vegetable seller and tell him "the Arishok is going to hunt Tal-Vashoth tomorrow" hes gonna blink twice and then say "alright....anyway so are you gonna buy something ?"

the transition of iron bull from Qunari to Tal-Vashoth is supposed to show you that regular people on both sides don't reflect the military goals of the leaders they both just want to live a fulfilling life how ever different that is from what we consider a fulfilling life and we get to see what that looks like to Qunari through the tender moments shown to us like with Sten and the whole charges and the bull story, the ones who want them dead are the military

but no the fandom has decided All Qunari bad All Qunari fascists or whatever as if the military goals of the chantry are better somehow

However, when she is taken hostage by the infamous Gaster brothers, she finds herself trapped in the strange, abyssal gaze of Sans the Skeleton. With political and sexual tensions on the rise, can these two work through their differences? Or will they forever be asking each other, "What Do You Want?"

| Baby Face - UF Highschool AU | 💖 🤘🏻 |

Technically an au based off of my characterizations of the UF characters in wdyw. This one is tooth rottingly sweet and set in a surface Ebbott City in the 90s. Inspo was movies like Clueless & the documentary Kid 90. I actually loved this story so much I completely reworked it and turned it into an original novel.

Important to note that this fic isn't really a romance. It's more about platonic love and friendships than it is about Frans romance.

Summary:

Seniors should not date freshmen. No matter what. Not even if the freshman is hot. Not even if the freshman says it's ok. Not even if the freshman makes moves. That’s the mantra Sans lives by, and even though Frisk, one of the cutest girls according to all of his friends, catches a crush of epic proportions on him, he makes it a point to keep his distance. She’ll thank him later.

Sans is in a rock band and Frisk has a big ole unrequited crush on him.

That is until a string of murders throughout the tristate area begin to appear. Women used like toys, mutilated and disposed of for the cops and journalists to find with only the tiniest slivers of useless evidence and the glaring fact that all the women...

I wrote this as a secret Santa present to @themsource. It is very cute and fucking funny if I do say so myself. It puts the comedy in Romantic Comedy.

Summary:

Sans has some inhibitions about Christmas, clouded with cynicism and bitterness. But if there's anyone to make him have a change of heart, it's Frisk; Ebbot City's own Little Miss Mother Teresa.
