Laura Lee and Lottie are like the sun and the moon, the good and the evil: 

Laura Lee is spiritual, she's weird and not fully understood or liked by the rest of the yellowjackets. Lottie is seen in the same exact way when she's unmedicated. She starts slowly believing in the spiritual aspect of the woods, she's weird and not fully understood or liked by the rest of the yellowjackets. However Laura Lees character is seen in a good way because she takes care of Lottie and is constantly nice to the others.

When they first arrive in the wilderness, Lottie states: "this place feels wrong, it doesn't seem right,” which is ignored by the rest of the yellowjackets. Laura Lee is the only one who decided to listen to her and believe her.

They balance each other out and as soon as Laura Lee died, the downward spiral that balanced between the good and evil is now gone. Lottie has officially free range and is no longer mentally stable.

in the pilot jackie teases shauna abt her “catholic phase” and to that shauna responds that she liked the saints bc she thought they were “so tragic”. in the last ep of s1 during their fight the first insult shauna calls jackie is tragic. she calls her other things too but its so intresting that the first thing she thinks of is tragic. to me thats like a freudian slip. jackie was shaunas saint.
